Please support the official releases.

Warnings: Crossover pairings either happening or coming soon. Also a couple of character bashings. As well as possible violence and themes unsuitable for younger readers. If you don't like it, don't even flame about it! Keep the comments to yourselves! Reader discretion is advised.

A/N: Okay everybody! After a year on hiatus, this story is now OFFICIALLY DONE. I was stuck on Writer's Block for a very long time, as well as personal matters going on with my life, and I wanted to wrap things up before getting ready to upload Enter The Orichalcos, so I apologize if the wrap up in this kind of sucks. I just needed to get this story done and over with before moving onto the other sequels.

So I hope you enjoy, and thanks for reading, everyone!

Epilogue

Sometime after everybody escaped the Virtual World, and are now set course back towards Alcatraz for the Battle City Finals, Yugi, Joey, Tristan, Tea, Mai, Serenity, Duke, Gwen, Trent, Duncan, Geoff, Justin, and LeShawna were in the kitchen making themselves some lunch. They were fixing up sandwiches, cooking up chicken and ham, stirring noodles, bowling some eggs, making vegetable and fruit salads, getting out bowls of chips and pretzels, sis-ka-bobs, and other food that can make a person hungry just seeing or mentioning them.

All the while when they were cooking and eating their lunches, Yugi, Gwen, Joey, Duncan, LeShawna, Geoff, Serenity, Tea, and Duke were explaining about what happened back in the Virtual World and their confrontations with Noah, Gozaburo, and the Big Five.

"Even when they're disguised as Duel Monsters, they may be tough, but we show them a thing or two," Joey commented, making a reference to the Big Five.

"Not to mention the way Punk Boy and I defeated their powerful five-headed dragon, y'all," said LeShawna.

"Yeah, it's like we know their weak point within every moment," Duncan said, before taking a gulp from his can of soda. "They're like open magazines!"

"True," said Tea. "Plus, the Duel Monsters in that world are so real. You can actually talk to them, and they give you help on defeating your opponents."

"I wish Kaiba can create something to make Duel Monsters act that way," said Geoff. "We could always use advice on how to play the game more easier."

"Not to mention the places," Tea said. "It's like you can travel around the world in the Virtual World."

"But trust me, it's not exciting as it sounds," Duncan commented.

"Yeah, it's like we've been transported from one place to another," said Duke.

"And we got out of the Virtual World, Kaiba's step dad is dead, all of us are safe, and the entire world is saved!" Geoff cheered, before taking out a waffle iron. "Now who wants waffles for lunch?"

"I want strawberries and blueberries on my waffles," said Joey. "With lots of chocolate syrup."

"Dude, chocolate syrup is gross on waffles!" Tristan commented.

Joey glared at his comment, points a finger at him, and asked, "And who asked for your opinion?"

Tristan looks over towards Serenity and asked, "So Serenity, did you have to Duel too?"

Serenity nodded, saying, "Of course. I wasn't so sure at first since Geoff lost, but thanks to Duke, we went out there and I defeated one of the Big Five."

Tristan's eyes widen, saying, "Wait, you WHAT?"

Duke walks over to where both Serenity and Tristan were at and said, "Dude, you should've been there. She was confident at doing whatever it is that was in our way. And the way she took down Nesbitt, it was awesome."

Serenity begins to blush, saying, "You could say I got some of those traits like Joey."

"Ya got that right, sis," Joey said with a smile.

"And if it wasn't for Duke, I don't know what I would do," said Serenity "He was with me whenever I feel down. And I thank him for that."

Duke smiled at her, and said, "Anytime, Serenity."

With that said, they both started to hug each other, to which Tristan was glaring at Duke his eyes widen and his face was really furious. Joey quickly walks up to the three of them and said, "You two, stay away from my sister!"

Hoping to get everyone off topic, Tea gave out a nervous laugh and said, "Well, other than going to places in the Virtual World, we actually get to walk into some people's memories as well."

With that said, Duncan almost choked on his soda, LeShawna spitting out her ham, and Gwen slowly swallowing a bite of her sandwich, and is having a strong urge to puke out what was left of her. All three of them looked away, feeling remorseful and upset.

"Hey, you three are acting weird," Justin said to the trio with a confused look on his face. "Did you guys took a look at your memories?"

"Yeah, and what happened back there?" Trent asked.

Joey and Tea suddenly knew, as they said simultaneously, "Oh no! There's no way we're not gonna let them say it!"

"We've been there, and even we don't want to talk about it!"

"It's personal and private matters!"

"Yeah, something you guys don't wanna find out!"

"Okay, okay," said Justin, waving one of his hands. "We get it. We get it."

Tea covered her mouth with her hand, with an embarrassed look on her face, and muttered, "Should've kept my mouth shut."

Gwen let out a sigh, and pushed away her plate, thinking, It's a good thing neither of them were there when I took a look at my memories.

Yugi looked over at the Goth Girl, and saw her looking upset, asking, "Gwen, is there something wrong?"

"No, I'm just not that hungry anymore," Gwen lied.

She then walks over towards the door, saying, "I'll be in my room."

"Gwen? Are you feeling alright?" Tea asked. "You've been feeling down ever since we found you and the Kaiba brothers."

"Yeah, not to mention that you broke down when they were turned to stone," Joey pointed out.

The Goth Girl came up with another lie, and said, "I just want to rest up before the finals, that's all. Besides, being in the Virtual World can cause you a lot of stress."

With that said, she opened the door and stepped out. Everyone just stood there, sharing the same confused looks on their faces.

"So what did happen to Gwen back in the Virtual World?" Trent asked.

"Heck if I know, man," Duncan said with a shrug. "But something happened between her and Kaiba that made her act like she hated everything about him."

"Yeah, but when Noah turned Kaiba and Mokuba into stone, she broke down crying and was saying sorry to Kaiba for everything she said about him, like hating on him, and other things too," Joey explained. "You could say that it left an impact on her."

"Oh, the poor girl," said Mai. "Knowing their differences, they probably clashed and got into a major fight, in which Gwen probably regretted it later."

"Maybe that's why?" Tea asked. "Maybe they got into a fight or something?"

Everyone continues to talk about it, and what they all didn't know was that outside of the kitchen, Gwen was leaning her back against the wall next to the door. She was listening to the conversations of what's going on and she couldn't help but let out a sigh.

If they only knew the real truth, she thought.

Thanks to that little mishap there, she couldn't stop thinking about what happened back in the Virtual World, especially of Noah showing her, her dark past. How did he know about all of this? It was supposed to be a personal secret?!

She ran a hand through her hair, as she was deep in thought. Tears were starting to form in her eyes again, as Gwen couldn't help but to think about what happened in her past. She didn't even ask to be reminded of this haunting memory again! It left behind a long lasting scar; it didn't even need to be stretched out a lot more.

Gwen suddenly felt the need to talk about this to somebody, but she's not even sure who. There's Yugi and Yami, whom she trust the both to and they never have problems keeping secrets, but she held back on wanting to tell them. And not anybody else for that matter, since she doesn't want to tell them anything. The only other person who almost came close to knowing was Duncan, back when they confess to each other about some horrible things that went down for them.

However, her train of thought halted when she heard footsteps coming from the hall. Heck, she doesn't care who it was at the moment. As soon as it got closer to where she was at, it suddenly stopped, and a voice asked out.

"I'm pretty sure some of the geek squad doesn't get what happened to you and the other contestants back there, do they?"

Gwen turns her head to the source, and said, "You'd really have no ide—"

She quickly froze when she saw that it was Kaiba standing next to her. However, rather than getting a bit angry, she remained calm.

"Hey," she said.

"Hey yourself," Kaiba said in a calm manner, crossing his arms.

Gwen turns her head away, and for once, didn't know what to say. It's pretty obvious of what went down back in the Virtual World between them, and yet the Goth girl felt somewhat uncomfortable about what happened.

"So…how are you?" Kaiba asked to break the silence.

Gwen looks back at him and said, "Been feeling well. For once, I've felt a bit great coming back to the real world, and your step dad being killed before he could destroy it."

Kaiba nodded, saying, "Good."

"Oh, and um…" Gwen said, trying to come up with something to say.

"Yeah?"

"…I, uh…" the Goth Girl tried to say something she wanted to say, but couldn't get it out of her system, until, "I just want to thank you. You know, for saving my life earlier."

Kaiba somewhat has a confused look on his face, and asked, "How can you be thanking me if you hated me so much?"

Gwen froze after he asked that. She rolls her eyes away, and bit her bottom lip, once again finding the courage to talk. After a moment or two, she gave out a sigh, before looking back at Kaiba.

"Do you think we can go somewhere and talk in private about this?" Gwen asked. "We still have time before we get to Alcatraz and the cameras going to function again."

Kaiba didn't answer. Instead, he uncrosses his arms as he turns around with his back facing her, and said, "Let's go to my room. We can talk there."

"Are you sure?" Gwen asked. "Because Duncan and the others might get the wrong idea, and—"

"Relax," said Kaiba. "It will be the last place those guys ever looked."

With that, he took off walking down the hall with Gwen walking behind him. Back in the kitchen, everyone had stopped talking about Gwen and Kaiba, as they change to different topics. Like how Joey knocked Geoff's body through a wall and Joey and Duncan causing chaos in a castle, while they begin to eat away of what their having for lunch, with Joey eating some waffles Geoff made with berries and chocolate syrup.

After he was done with his lunch, Yugi set some plates in the sink and took one look at his friends before leaving the kitchen. However, when he turned his head, he looked and saw Kaiba and Gwen walking down the hall from the kitchen. Yugi looked on with a confused look on his face.

Kaiba took a seat on a chair with Gwen doing the same, sitting across the table from him. Gwen couldn't help but to look around his bedroom, noticing that it looks more like a two-bedroom hotel with a large computer screen on the wall.

"So, spill it," Kaiba slightly snapped. "What is it you want to talk about?"

Gwen looked at him with a slight glare, and rather or not Kaiba would like it or not, he deserves to know about what went down back in the Virtual World.

She gave out a sigh, before saying, "I…remember when I yelled out that I hate you?"

"So?"

"I…I didn't mean for what I've said to you. I said a bunch of things I shouldn't have said. I was angry and hurtful, and…since I couldn't stand you and your attitude most of the time, and with that duel with Leichter about how you took over KaibaCorp., my…rage for you grew even more. But after a while, I was beginning to realize my mistake. Especially since you cared so much about Mokuba, and wanted to do everything in your power to make sure he's safe. And when Noah turned you both into stone, I've…I lost it and instantly regret of what I've been saying to you. I was angry, stupid, and upset. And when I realized that you've kept…some things about me a secret from the others, I wanted to repay the debt I owe ya. That's why I dueled against Noah and won."

Kaiba instantly shot a glare at her, and said in somewhat of an angry tone, "And you dueled using my deck."

"Hey, I had no choice, alright?" Gwen said, glaring back at him. "Plus, I had my virtual deck on me, combined yours with mine, and I defeated him."

"Then why did you duel Noah in the first place?" Kaiba asked, still having an angry tone in his voice. "I would imagine Yugi taking my place, but you?"

"Because I owe you," Gwen admitted. "You somehow knew about what happened back in my past, yet never had the guts to admit it until today. I'm not sure how or why you knew, but it was supposed to be personal. No one was supposed to know that! Not even Mokuba for that matter!"

"Hey, I didn't know your secret until last night!" Kaiba yelled. "After you were knocked unconscious after your duel with Heather, I was given reports on not only of you condition...but of your secret. I didn't want to believe it at first, thinking that it was some sort of trick, but the proof was right in front of me, and I even saw more evidence as of today."

Gwen gave out a groan and placed her hand on her face.

"You should be considered lucky that I'm not the type of person that goes around and spill people's personal secrets," Kaiba continued. "Maybe except for Wheeler, but that's not the point! No one else but me knows about what happened."

"But why didn't you?" Gwen asked, leaning her back against the chair. "You could've used it to blackmail me or something."

"I guess that's what you learned for being around snobby people like Heather so much," Kaiba commented. "I'm a man of my honor when I say that I respect my rivals, especially if their Duelists. Besides, what makes you think I let Mokuba told you about our past?"

Gwen sighed in defeat. She rolls her eyes to the floor and said, "I guess…I guess we aren't that different after all, huh?"

Kaiba couldn't help but to give a nod. He does admit though, even though they clash now and then due to their different views, they share some things in common, like how they were both lone wolves before they met the people they knew today, how their defensive, and the hatred they share for their respective fathers. With that, Kaiba got up, and looked at Gwen before asking, "So, have you told them about my past then?"

Gwen shook her head, saying, "No. What do you take me for? Someone like Lindsay?"

"Touche."

Gwen also got up from the chair, and walked up to where Kaiba was standing. Before he knew what was coming next, Gwen wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close to her, their bodies touching. Kaiba didn't know what to think of this situation or what made her do something like this, but she did. After a moment, he wrapped his arms around her, returning the hug.

After what felt like a minute, when in actuality it was a minute, Gwen pulled herself away from the CEO, and said, "Don't get any bright ideas. That hug was just a thank you. You know why."

Kaiba couldn't help but to give out a smirk, with Gwen asking, "What?"

"So, you thought I was cute when I was young?" he asked.

Gwen couldn't help but to blush, her cheeks turning slightly red, glaring at Kaiba, and said, "Oh shut up."

She then turns around, and before walking out the door, said, "See you at the finals, Kaiba."

The door in front of her slides open, as she walks out. Gwen turns around and begins to walk down the hall towards her bedroom. However, she stopped in her tracks when she saw Yugi walking through the hall and right in front of her.

"Hey Yugi," Gwen said.

"Hey, Gwen," Yugi said. "I saw you with Kaiba. Was there something wrong?"

Gwen shook her head, saying, "No. He and I…just had a nice conversation, that's all."

"But still, something wasn't right," Yugi said.

"What do you mean?"

"What happened between you two back in the Virtual World? You were having mixed feelings back there. One minute, you hated Kaiba's guts, and then the next thing, you were breaking down."

Her eyes widen when he asked. Was he trying to come unto her of what happened? Was he gathering clues about her past or something? Gwen sighed, and turns around, her back facing Yugi.

"Yugi, this is none of your concern," she said. "I don't want to talk about it."

"Gwen, it's alright that you can tell me," Yugi assured. "I have no problems keeping secrets before. But if you don't want to talk about it, then I understand. It's probably personal to you, huh?"

Gwen gave out another sigh, saying, "Yeah, I can't talk about it, especially in the middle of a hallway. It's...personal. Maybe I'll tell you when the time comes. Until then, just don't worry about me, alright?"

Yugi gave out a small smile, and a nod, saying, "Of course."

With that, both Gwen and Yugi have each other a friendly hug to seal the deal.

"Hey Gwen."

Gwen and Yugi pulled away from each other, and turned their heads to find Joey walking down the hallway, holding up a plate of chocolate cake, the leftover sandwich, and a can of Pepsi.

"Listen, I know you said you don't feel hungry right now, but I thought I swing by and give you some chow," he said. "Y'know, to keep your energy up."

Gwen gave him a friendly smile, and took the plate and Pepsi from him, saying, "Thanks, Joey."

"Well hurry and eat up, 'cause one of us has a Tournament to win!"

With that, Gwen continues to her room, while Yugi decides to make a trip to Bakura's bedroom, and Joey turning around and walking down the hallway once again.

Joey arrived back to the kitchen, and when he got there, he saw Duncan walking out, giving out a loud burp.

"Hey pal, you feeling alright?"

Duncan looks at him and said, "Yeah, I'll be fine. Besides, how did that brat even know my past, anyway?"

"Heck if I know, man," said the Brooklyn-Accent Teen. "All I know is that the worst part is over. Noah, his dad, and the Big Five are gone, now. So no worries."

"But how will that make up for the fact that I relived that day when I was first sent to Juvie?" Duncan asked. "Not my fault those a-holes got what they deserve."

"True, but I can relate to your problems, ye know?" Joey asked. "Besides, I promise I won't tell anybody else."

Duncan sighed, as he took off down through the hall, with Joey following him, asking, "Hey, where your going?"

"Going to check up on Court," the Delinquent said, without looking back.

Joey groans, and walks after his punk friend.

Tea knocked on the door to LeShawna's bedroom. Ever since what happened in the Ghetto Girl's memories, she couldn't help but felt sorry for what had happened to her friend back several years ago. The door slides open, and the Friendly Girl saw that LeShawna, except she wasn't wearing her Duel Disk.

"Tea?" she asked.

"LeShawna, can I talk to you for a second?" Tea asked.

The Ghetto Girl nodded, and had let her in. The Friendly Girl walked into the room, and the door slides shut behind.

"So what's up, girl?"

Tea looks over at LeShawna, and with tears forming in her eyes, she said, "LeShawna, I know I said this before, but I am so sorry for what you had to go through."

"Nah, Shawnie told you, it's alright," said the Ghetto Girl.

"I know, but..." Tea said, before stopping herself. "Losing family members can be tough. I know that we have to move on from our pasts, but...but..."

LeShawna walked over towards her friend, and places an arm around her, placing her hand on one of her shoulders.

"No girl, it's alright," she said. "Everything is alright. At first, I thought that I would never move on. But we all can't be living in the past, know what I'm saying?"

Tea looks at her, and said, "Your right, LeShawna. Besides, I know how it feels to lose family members."

LeShawna's eyes widen, and asked, "You do?"

Tea nodded, and said, "But...it was a long time ago.

"Hey girl, the important thing is, is that we moved on," said LeShawna. "Our loved ones may be gone, but we still haven't forgotten about them. Our memories of them are still living. That's what matters, sister."

Tea looks at her with a smile on her face and said, "Yeah, your right. Thanks, LeShawna."

"No problem, sisters are always there to help each other out."

With that said, both girls embraced each other in a friendly hug, the secrets between them sealed.

Gwen had finished eating of what was left of the food Joey brought her, gulping down what was left of the Pepsi she had. As soon as she wiped her mouth with a napkin, the sound was heard that sounds like the intermission clicking on, before a voice saying, "Attention finalists. We are approaching our destination in six miles. Prepare to get your Duel Disk and deck ready."

The intercom was turned off, and as if on cue, there was a knock on the door.

"Hey Gwen, it's time! We need to get ready!"

No doubt that it was Yugi's voice ringing out with excitement. Gwen rolled her eyes and sighed. With that, she cleaned up, took out her Duel Disk, strapping it on, and slipped her real deck into the Duel Slot. She took one look at her doorway and smirked to herself.

"Now it's really time to duel."
