A/N Let me hear from you. I hope you like it. I have a new FF. Love Never Dies, coming soon.

Getting Ready

The Queen

'"She is like a piece of ice. Please do something." Bull begs to look at Elizabeth.

"Maybe if I change to my other form? Something isn't working. It occurs to me I should." After saying those words, Elizabeth shimmers. The one we see in front of our eyes is her, and it isn't.

Even Bull is captivated, Targus as well, albeit he thinks that he has already found the One. I am guessing he hasn't when I see him looking at my Lizzie. If I am not mistaken, he seems to be in love once again.

She is breathtakingly beautiful; closely looking to my idea of a fairy. Her face thinner, pointy ears, the hair is made out crystalline filaments; she has sensors like mine but shorter. Her fleshy lips are almost lilac; her eyes are bigger surrounded by long eyelashes, the pupils are colorless but for the rim that seems to change colors; the eyebrows curve upwards. Her glowing skin is much like ours, not one color, but made to blend with the surroundings. Whereas our physical nature mixes with the night, hers mixed with the daylight. She is a little taller and narrower than in her human form.

I cannot see her wings, but I couldn't see Von Stern's either, probably folded close to her back. She wears a flowing robe, looks a little young, perhaps from a childhood memory. Just like ours, we need to leave room for our flying appendages. A bonus, for my lecherous self, is the length of her gown that only reaches to below her knee. My eyes feast on her exquisite, defined calves and her slender ankles. On her feet, she wears her formal slippers.

Not Shadow, he tells me, Others are looking as well, so she needs to cover them up. I grin, he is a jealous prude, our females wear men's baggy trousers above their knees, with high soft leather boots, better for flying. She moves, and I can see that her dress splits below the waist to form baggy trousers. It is so alluring; alas, anything she wears is alluring to my heated mind.

She is a beauty, and she is ours, our queen. Shadow tells me. I agree.

I see a glowing disc on the middle of her upper chest. Why does it look familiar? It is not a pendant, it is on her skin.

Leandra expresses her admiration by bowing deeply, the same than Aura, "My lady, you are beautiful." Aura agrees, "Aye."

The dogs bark together their agreement, but soon they go back to snarling.

Her hand goes over the area of their attention, she touches it and recoils, "Yuck, " she looks at her hand which is now covered with a greenish slime and blood. The rich smell of blood affects all of us, but for a second. The dark energy generated from Georgie's pain takes away the compelling attraction.

Georgie is now whimpering. Bull holds her closer to his chest but allows access to her back. He is murmuring soothing words and openly crying. He is mindless of everyone in the room.

We are all so absorbed that we don't hear the door opening.

Lizzie looks resolute and concentrates, and her hands are glowing. My, her hands are suddenly made out of light. They grow brighter as she moves them over the area now soaked with blood. I cannot take much more of this.

We hear a nasty squeak, and see a monstrous arachnid bursting out of my sister's ski near her neck, leaving a sizable gash. The thing seems to be made out jagged teeth covered with my sister's blood, mixed with green slime.

Every one gasps. The hairy thing is big and disgusting. The monstrous creature, still alive, starts crawling fast, it is looking for either a safe cover or a new host. It all happens within a couple of seconds.

The dogs, in unison, breathe out their blue fire the flame surrounds the parasitic monster that screeches while it burns to a charred lump in seconds. I cannot feel sorry for it; it was killing my sister.

"What was that," someone asks. Nobody knows, but I will ask Von Stern.

Whereas Elizabeth is happy that her young to-be sister-in-law is free from the monstrous thing attached to her, she has to finish her work with Georgina. Once again she touches my sister, the skin at the base of her neck, and with her touch closes the gaping wound, finally visible to all of.

"We need to get ready, but first, let's discuss how to protect you all. I think we cannot let your sister Jane run free. We must talk about your little sister, privately." She is not wearing the coin pendant, so I must be wrong, he thought.

Charles was still slumped on the floor. Richard was calling Darcy, George also approached. "He is not totally human, but I only sense low levels of energy about him. Not unpleasant, wait; no, he isn't a straggler, nor does he have another form. At least, not one that I can detect."

"Wake him up, " Darcy asked.

Charles rubbed his eyes, "What?" he stopped and looked at Elizabeth, "Are you a fairy? I saw..." Darcy touched him. He tried to change the memory once again and helped him to stand up. Strange, one pass should have done it.

"Darcy what is going on. Am I sick? As I was asking Miss Elizabeth, are you, hmm, well." He shook his head. "I heard that..." he was staring at Agnes Reynolds, Mrs. Reynolds young niece. She had come with Aura and Leandra. Her auburn colored hair wasn't the 'angel blond,' he favored. She was built like an Amazon, not like the delicate china dolls he usually liked. Darcy took notice.

All seemed well for now, although Charles was still confused. Darcy had a theory about the Bingley siblings that now seemed wrong. He needed to go to Pemberley to check. Charles was his dearest friend, so he hoped that whatever he was, wasn't a danger to them.

After a rest, they all started readying for the ball except the ones recently injured and recuperating. They made plans for the evening, aware of the danger. They feared for the guests, for everyone.

Miss Bingley had her own plans, earlier that day she had received a letter, all she needed to do was follow the detailed instructions, and she would get rid of the disagreeable country maiden, once and for all.

In her room, Lydia remembered being found with Joseph. She couldn't remember saying goodbye or what happened. He was the best, but not an officer.

She looked at the mantel clock, nearly evening time. She was going to miss her rendezvous with Mathias, the wealthy officer. Not very handsome, but he was a good kisser. She sat by the window examining the tree, she was going back home. It should be easy.

Hurst was in his room, he had a wonderful nap. He patted Louisa's naked rump. She giggled. "Wake up lazy bones, we still have sometime before the ball. Let's not waste it." He bent and bit her nipple.

Someone was knocking at the door, his valet. "Mr. Hurst. Your cousin is here, he requests your presence."

Hurst kissed Louisa's cheek. "Will see you at the ball. I think a solution to a long-standing problem has arrived. My cousin Albert is here, I hope he came Tobias, and I wish Tony, but it is unlikely."

"Tobías, like in Lord Tobias? The one who looks angry all the time? Your cousins look like rugged knights, intimidating, but rich." She grinned, "Go, my love, I hope it all works out. After the ball, I have a surprise for you."

Darcy sat reading the manuscripts Von Stern had brought him. "You are right; it is the only way. She is not 21, so we need to go to Scotland. They are powerful and dangerous. Now we have several injured, and we nearly lost Georgiana and George. It has to end."

Yes, let's go, we cannot wait any longer, what if we lose her. Shadow was right.

"Why Scotland?"

"To marry?"

Von Stern grinned, "She is not from here, her father gave permission."

Darcy told him about her being able to change.

"Hmm, we lost the power disc sometime during the trip. It is needed to change when you pass a portal unless you have reached your potential, which happens much later in life. Before you ask, around 80 of your human year's."

Darcy described the coin and giving to her.

"Ah, that is the answer, it must have fallen in your village. Now that Elizabeth is older, it was absorbed into her. Thus, she can now change at will. She will be stronger. It is like that for the Hunter. I think being around Elizabeth and you, brought out the Hunter. I will offer him a place with us."

"Don't, I need him."

"Let's not argue. We need to plan now. Lizzie's parents might bring the law. I hope their uncle arrives soon. I still seething ya ù at the father's betrayal, granted I also used him, he went too far."

Darcy asked about the parasite inside his sister.

"I was told. That creature is from our worlds; it is a dangerous parasitic sentient creature that can be trained to kill. It attaches to the victim and drains their blood within a few hours. It not always possible to detect because they are concealed. Lady Darcy was fortunate."

Darcy knew, so much danger around them. A lot of it brought about by his aunt. She had to be stopped.

Lizzie took a nap when she was waking up, she heard a clear voice. "After you marry come thru..."`

"Thru what?" No answer, Pick, and Cleo stood on guard.

Longbourn.

While they readied, others did as well. The cruel-looking richly-attired woman, Lady Catherine, tapped her long nails on the ivory fan. "If William thinks he has won, he is wrong. Don't worry dearest," she looked at her pale daughter, the apple of her eye.

Her daughter was the combination of several powerful creatures. From her father, not the Fitzwilliams everyone thought, but her real father was a powerful dark being, one who fed on blood, she also had the inheritance from her mother's shadow beings, and from the Darkling, Annie's real father.

"Where is my sister, she is never gone so long." She whined. She was fond of the Darkling, though much older than her, Anne liked to plot and create a ruckus with her sister's assistance.

Perversely, the only affection she ever felt came from her feared sibling, never mind the Darkling was there to do her bidding. Indeed, she was panicked, Lady Anne was worried about the Darkling; she was a coward but felt braver when her sibling was by her side.

"She is too smart, she will be here soon. Surely just detained." Lady Catherine didn't sound convinced. Perhaps, she shouldn't worry since she had powerful allies. Allies whose ranks had been severely diminished.

She feared her nephews, warriors without equal, and they had other equally powerful beings backing them. Hopefully, Bartlett hadn't come to assist, she hoped not.

Someone had said that they had glimpsed a Hunter, pish, they were long gone. At least Lady Catherine hoped they were. She knew that the Darkling beings were vermin to Hunters. Her lover, Anne's father, a very handsome Darkling, had told her how many of his kind had been beheaded by a Hunter. If there were one, it better stay away from her Annie, hmm, and from her. Annie wasn't perfect, but a child with William would be powerful and ready to conquer; she would make sure it would happen.

"Mother, William has those horrible dogs, I am afraid of them. When I marry him, I will have them destroyed." Annie whines multiplied.

At this remark, her mother laughed, an unpleasant sound, "My dear, no more whining. That is an unattainable goal, your best hope is to befriend them. You will never get close enough to harm one of them, I have tried long enough. We best hope that my ally delivers the troublesome chit. Finish getting ready, we have a ball to attend, invited or not. Put some rouge on those cheeks. You need to be pretty for William."

In the meantime, Mr. Bennett was regretting getting in so deep. He wanted to keep his wife content and off his back, and thought that he could outsmart them all.

His foolish wife was after his cousin who was using her. Collins was despicable; his father married a scary looking woman. She had been like the Lady staying with them. The nasty beings left him alone because of the protection given to him when he accepted the job, his blood was toxic to them.

His brother Gardiner warned him when he saw him, "Thomas quit taking money from so many sources, you are reckless and endangering your family, maybe even us." He should have heeded the warnings; instead, he was arrogant and ignored the well-meant advice.

His actions had hurt Lizzie, the child entrusted to him, one he admired and loved as his own, one he was helping to be delivered to her room. At least, his brother Gardiner had most of his ill-gained money in case something happened to him.

He felt odd, he needed to do something. He was glad the girls were gone. Hearing their screams had sickened him, but not as much as his cowardice. He was hiding and had seen the man-feline who looped ahead with one stroke.

He had the weapons given to him by his father. It was time to do something right, to rectify his wrongdoings. To join the 'right side.'

His father would have cried had he seen what he, Thomas Bennett had done. He had broken the trust of hundreds of years; he did it for money because he was tired of Fanny's complaints, a piss-poor excuse.

Additionally, Thomas had also believed that his Lizzie would be an empress. But now he wasn't so sure that was a good thing. The newcomers were evil and allied with the awful Lady and Collins. Alas, Lizzie not the child of his loins, was the child of his heart. He loved her,

"Mrs. Bennett, hurry, or we will be late." Mr. Bennett later stood outside his wife's room, his eyes gleamed with a sign of courage not there before. He knew his father was watching; so it was time to regain his honor.

Final Preparations

Lizzie and Darcy were in Georgiana's room, where Darcy held Lizzie's hand over a thin plate; Richard and George stood next to them. Von Stern put his hand over the couple's hands. After he said a few words in an unknown language, the plate dissolved. For a second, the three sets of hands were glowing.

Von Stern lifted his hand, he was done. "Hopefully, this will be enough to hold the wolves at bay. But you two must be married as soon we get to your home. The official wedding ceremony will be done later when all is settled.'' Von Stern told Darcy.

"Why not bring others to help?" Darcy asked.

"As it is, we were too many. We came thru an illegal portal and had to restore the balance, there are rules after all. Three of my cousins have already left. However, we need to keep Elizabeth safe, so I hope your uncle was reached. If only there were more like the Hunter, he is something else."

They all agreed, he was a good ally.

Before leaving the room Richard approached Darcy, "I tried kissing Aura, only to find out that I was wrong, she isn't my one. Ha, she loves someone else; someone too blind to notice. I guess I must wait for your child." He sighed, "As long as I am your second that should work." He grinned; power was a good substitute for love.

Darcy

I am drunk with happiness, soon Lizzie will be mine, I bend and kiss her cheek. According to Von Stern, our bond cannot be undone. It was considered marriage before; a temptation that I don't need now. However, marriage is not, not enough to cross a portal.

I smile when I look at Richard, he and Targus like them all. I guess I was like that, a little. I have a secret, a foolish one. I have never been with anyone. Once you find your one is not tempting, so I should have recognized Lizzie when I felt tempted day and night. Shadow snickers, I told you so.

Bull confessed earlier that he learned to please the ladies, but he has never actually known how it feels to be inside a female. I am just like him. Now, Richard and Targus have zero problems in that area, which leads me to believe they still not found their one. As for me, I am already dreaming of continuing our kisses...I need to stop.

Soon will be time to go down. Someone is at the door. It is Hurst. Two very tall strong-looking men, with hard looking faces, are with him. Help has arrived, I believe that I am right.

A/N Hmm sweet, but I hope that Jane snaps out of it.
