By the time the crew got back from the beach it was late and everyone was exhausted. Too tired to go home the mews stayed the night at the cafe and the next morning, still tired from the day before, they kept the cafe closed. Now everyone, with the exception of Pai, sat in the dining area.

Pai was in the basement. His mouth was pinched shut in a straight line; his eyes void. He tried to process the information he had just received but he didn't understand. The monitor turned black as the video ended.

Reluctantly he teleported to the dining area where everyone was gathered; smiles dropped as their eyes took in Pai's grim face. They all took on a serious countenance as Pai cleared his throat.

"I have received news from our home planet. Things there have gotten a lot worse; the protesters have gotten out of control in our absence and we are to leave immediately."

The mews gasped and slamming his hands down on the table, Kish jumped up from his seat with wide eyes.

"Nani!?"

Pai held back a grimace.

"The rebels have started terrorizing everyone, our planet is in anarchy and our people are pleading for our swift return."

Kisshu went from shocked to outraged in less than a second. His voice took on a rough tone and his fist clenched causing his veins to pop out.

"How can this happen!?" He growled.

Ichigo looked up at Kish as if she was a scared, confused child. She wasn't sure how to process the sight she was taking in. Fangs bared and eyes glowing red he let out a snarl.

"Kisshu" Pai announced sternly, "rampaging will do us no good at the moment; right now we must ready the ship so we can leave. There is no time to waste."

Kish's shoulders dropped as he released the air that was being held in his lungs.

"You're right" he said with the dignity of a general, "we have no time to waste.

Pai gave him a swift nod before turning his head to make eye contact with the leader of the mews.

"You mew mews will be joining us."

Ichigo's eyes widened in surprise but Pai's face held steady.

"We are to leave tomorrow morning."

"Hold on a second" Mint cried, "you can't just expect us to put our lives on hold to go to some foreign planet! This is insane!"

Lettuce bit her lip, "What will I tell my parents?"

The aliens held back a look of sympathy and the mews turned to Ichigo for help.

Ichigo's eyebrows pushed together, raising in at the front and her lips were slightly parted. She was at a loss and it showed all over her face. On one hand she didn't want to be parted from Kish again and she didn't want to turn her back on her alien allies when they needed help but she also had to look out for the best interest of her and the mews.

"Ichigo?" Mint asked desperately..

The redhead looked at Pai with troubled eyes, "how bad is it?"

Pai sighed , "to be blunt, the small acts of defiance has turned into a rebellion practically overnight and if we don't get there soon, we might be fighting a whole entire war."

The aliens received horrified looks from everyone in the room.

Kish, Pai, and Tart held a poker face.

The mews looked at Ryou and Keiichiro.

"We can't force you to go, asking you girls to go fight with them and is not something small but not going is not something to take lightly" Keiichiro told them.

They mews looked at each other and as soon as their eyes locked, they knew what they had to do; with a nod they turned to look at their aliens allies.

"Okay. We'll help you."

"Good. We are to leave in the morning."

"Morning!? That soon!? What are we supposed to do!? Oh hey mom, just coming home to pack my stuff so I can leave for another planet in the morning. I have to go fight a war, is that okay with you?"

Ryou looked as if he had aged in a matter of seconds, "Ichigo calm down, we'll take care of it, just worry about being ready."

"Demo-" Mint interjected.

"Well take care of it" Ryou reiterated.

"You girls should go home and pack" Keiichiro told them.

With a sigh the girls got up.

"Are our lives ever gonna be normal" Ichigo whined.

"Probably not" said Mint.

"One night you're living it up on the beach and the next you're preparing for war...that's just how it is when you're the protectors of your planet" Zakuro told them.

The mews gathered their stuff and as Ichigo was walking out Kish stopped her, "do you want me to take you home?"

"It's fine" she said distantly, "Mint's driver is taking us all home."

Ichigo walked away and went outside with the mews.

They got into the limousine and drove off.

"Pai walked over and laid a hand on Kish's shoulder, "don't take it personal, just give her time."

"Well I've got to go call the girls parents, they've got a trip to my house to see pack for."

Turning on his heal Ryou left.

A/N Yaaaay! Now I can finally really get into the story plot and the drama/action. This is gonna be so fun :)
