Hey~ I know I just updated yesterday but… I don't want any of you to wait too long like last time and the week before so just like I say… I will update as daily as possible (although yet again I wonder if I really did say that…) anyways… Story time! I don't own pokemons or the characters. P.S: I made up the names of their fathers and mothers that we don't know of in the anime :P
Chapter 21 – The ceremony….
Dawn looked at herself in the mirror in her room. Her other servants from her kingdom all smiled at her and said "You look lovely your highness" Dawn turned around and put a fake smile on her face and said "Thank you" the servants left Dawn alone until the time for the ceremony. Dawn then looked at the girl that isn't happy in the mirror. She had her hair tied into a bun, a beautiful pink vain was tied around her bun with her tiara on her head; she wore a silky purple dress that has different layers of pink and purple at the bottom of her dress. With beautiful yellow circles dancing around at the bottom. She loved the way she looked and the way she dressed but… she wasn't happy. She put her hand on the mirror and said to herself "Come on Dawn… Today is the day that you become Kenny's fiancé, smile smile~" However, after saying that she still couldn't smile. She still looked sad. She walked towards the window and looked down at the area where the ceremony is being held. She watched her friends Misty and Leaf enjoying their time with the guys. She also saw her very first crush, Paul, "Well… I guess he's happy that I won't bother him anymore".
A knock came from the door and Dawn turned around and asked "Who is it?" "It's me Dawn" A voice replied Dawn and Dawn immediately knew who it was. "Come in Lucas" Lucas opened the door when Dawn gave him the permission. He looked at his twin sister and smiled. "You look stunning!" He complimented her, Dawn giggled and said "Thank you Lucas, but not perfectly stunning…" Lucas looked at her with sad eyes knowing what she meant by that. "Come on Dawn, five more minutes left of your single time isn't it? Keep on smiling~" Dawn looked at Lucas and sighed at what Lucas said, "Lucas I -" before Dawn can finish her sentence Lucas said "What a lovely weather today? Hope that Princess May could come" Dawn looked at her older twin brother and said "Yeah…" Silence took over the place.
Soon Dawn's pokemons came inside to where Dawn and Lucas are staying for the last five minutes. "Pip!" Piplup called out to Dawn, Dawn and Lucas turned around when they heard Piplup. "Well… I guess it's time for you to go Dawn" Lucas said to Dawn, Dawn looked at Lucas and nodded. As Dawn was walking through the hallway to the ceremony area, May showed up in Dawn's previous room. "…. You're not happy Prince Lucas" "Yeah…" Lucas stopped looking sad and turned around and found May in the room. "What are you doing here!?" Lucas asked in surprised. "Nothing, I just wanted to see how you are doing." May replied. Lucas looked at her suspiciously, May looked back at him and said "Well it's time for me to go, see you later your highness" and with that May teleported herself outside of the room to the area of where the ceremony was being held.
At the ceremony area…
Silver stood at the corner of the field watching Leaf drinking her drink and he smirked. Then he saw one of his servant in the bush giving him a sign. Silver nodded at him and walked closer to the crowded area. Once Silver was with the crowd there was a small show of gyro balls flying dancing in the air with psybeam guiding them through the air, signaling that the ceremony is about to begin. Silver slowly walked towards Leaf, Misty, Ash, Gary, Paul and Drew but didn't still hid away from them.
Then a show of flash cannon and psywave shot through from behind the stage clashing each other and creating beautiful sparks drifting down. Out came the king of psychic, Richard and his wife Joanna, then came the king of steel, Elvis and his wife Sherry. Then as the psychic pokemons came through from the door using the move psychic to place the pink and grey mat on the ground. Kenny and Dawn came out from the door and walked onto the mat. Kenny looked proud but Dawn looked sad. Slowly as they made their way to the stage, the kings smiled but the queens are worried about Dawn.
As they are walking towards the stage
"Dawn looks stunning" Misty said as she looked at her best friend walking down the mat. Paul looked at the princess, he won't admit it but he does think that she looks stunning, like a sun shining so bright that could melt his heart as if it was made out of chocolate. He looked at her with sadness and hurt watching the girl he love to become another prince's fiancé wasn't a good experience. "Even though she looks stunning…" Leaf started, "she doesn't look happy at all" Gary finished her sentence. Drew looked at Paul and feel sorry for his friend. "Hey… Paul" Drew put his hand on Paul's shoulder. Paul turned his head to face Drew, "Yeah?" "Why don't you just go and stop the ceremony?" Drew suggested, Paul shook his head and said "I can't remember how she reacted after we explained the reason why they should not be friends with Princess May anymore?" Drew nodded since he still remembered that scene.
Flashback…
"WHAT!?" Dawn screamed as she stood up from her chair, Misty and Leaf looked at the boys as if they don't believe in them at all. "There's no way and I repeat NO WAY that May would be part of Team Rocket!" Dawn yelled at the guys disagreeing with the idea of May being part of Team Rocket. "THEN EXPLAIN HOW ON EARTH SHE KNOWS ABOUT THEM!" Paul yelled back at her while standing up. Everyone was silent about that remark, Dawn looked shocked but still disagrees that May is part of Team Rocket. "If she was -" before Dawn could finish her line, Kenny showed up next to her and said "If she was part of Team Rocket, then there is no way that she would save Dawn, Misty and Leaf" Dawn looked at her future fiancé and then looked at her friends. Her friends looked back at her and then shrugged, signaling that they don't know what to do. Paul glared at Kenny and said "This has nothing to do with you!" "Oh yes it does! When it comes to my fiancé is having a trouble" Kenny argued back. Paul continued to glare at Kenny and before he could do something violent towards Kenny, Dawn slapped him across the face. Everyone was shocked to see this, especially Paul. Paul looked at Dawn and Dawn faced him as she was not afraid of him. "I hate you Paul Shinji, don't you dare talk to me!" and with that she stormed off and Kenny looked at him with eyes of victory and left to go back to his friends. Paul was about to go after Dawn but before he could, Misty and Leaf stood in front of him and said "Perhaps Kenny IS the one that Dawn must be with" and with that they left Paul standing like a fool.
End of flashback
As soon as Dawn and Kenny got onto the stage, King Richard walked up and said "Welcome! Thank you all for coming to this ceremony of my daughter becoming Prince Kenny's fiancé! Without any delays let's begin with the vow between the two lovers" Dawn and Kenny faced each other and before they could say their vow, smoke came onto stage. King Richard and king Elvis was frightened when there was smoke coming out because they didn't even planned this to be part of the ceremony.
It's…. It's finally done! Well… ahem… anyways… what will happen in the next chapter? Why did Silver smirked when Leaf drank her drink? What will Paul do? What will May do? What is going to happen!? Review please~
