President Lionel Luthor, had had it with the Kryptonians!
Kal-El had snatched a baby from them and his wife was still heartbroken over the loss!
His son, Lex, was in a Kryptonian prison and his daughter, Tess, was about to be sentenced to that same prison! He now knew that he should've stood up somehow, when those cretins took over this planet.
And now he was forced to make a different deal in order to rid himself, and his part of the planet, of the Kryptonians.
Other world leaders and himself, had met with the man known as 'Darkseid'. Lionel was secretly appalled. They were trading one cretin for another. The deal: Darkseid's people would rid Earth of the Kryptonians but...
As usual, women would save the day! Darkseid wanted access to Earth women, unfettered. And they would have to help populate the planet of Apokolips.
On the plus side, women were chosen only once a year, and they would live on the planet for a year, get pregnant and then return, leaving the children behind.
Bad side(like there was a good side), Darkseid and his people just pointed and picked. There would be no pregnancy in exchange for health care, as the Kryptonians were prone to do.
Lionel felt that this deal was standable, if the women were 'out of sight, out of mind'. And there would be no alien presence on the planet. It would almost be like they had Earth all to themselves again.
But part of Lionel's deal included freeing Lex and Tess. And Darkseid realized that he could not guarantee that without inside, Kyrptonian help...
"Kal-El," Jor-El asked in a patient tone, "do you mean to tell us, that the demon off-spring of the House of Zod, was the only thing you could find in that universe? You did not find your wife and my grand-son, Lon-El?"
"Father, I am just as upset as Mother and yourself must be. I have the Kryptonian forces there looking, of course. But it means I will not be able to disband my marriage to Lois."
"And that means," Zor-El said skeptically, "that Hippolyta cannot see Diana married to you legally. Our planet will suffer for this."
Kal-El barely glanced at his uncle. He eyed his father.
"Father, Hippolyta was always very enamored of you. I don't understand why you cannot pay the woman a visit and..."
"And what?!" Jor-El asked, horrified. "Do you not think your mother would be upset by your idea?"
"I think, that we all have to make sacrifices. And I don't see YOU making any, Father. And that woman certainly doesn't want to see her own daughter blown up."
Zor-El said nothing during the heated exchange. Kal-El had messed things up badly. And he realized that maybe, he had underestimated his own child, Kara. The Zod's were in the same detention center as the JLA for lying about Lor-Zod's origins. Lor-Zod was locked up with them, because one of the prisoners had been jettisoned back to Earth, on his suspected say so.
That would be Chloe Sullivan.
And now here stood Kal-El, who was clearly lying about this Earth woman he had married. He knew damned well where this woman was and their child! But by lying about it and incurring Hippolyta's further wrath, Kal-El was as good as telling Kryptonians that he did not care if their planet was blown up and it's people with it!
Things were going to be different this time around. Zor-El was tired of watching Kal-El and Lor-Zod get chance after chance, after chance, to mess up.
Kara Zor-El was going to be in charge of things from now on.
The JLA men that had been captured, had been given Kryptonian medication to heal the wounds from the leeches that had infected their private parts. The women were tested daily for pregnancy results, after the first forced sexual encounters on the prison ship.
But there was more unfortunate news ahead. And Tess was the one dispersing it. Lionel had obtained permission for Tess to see all of the JLA prisoners as a group...something that aroused Bruce's suspicions.
"What is happening?" Bruce asked. Oliver eyed Tess as well. Tess cleared her throat.
"There is no easy way to say this, so I'm just going to say it: my father has arranged my release."
Dinah gave Tess a look filled with pure loathing!
"YOU are about to be released? And the rest of us..."
"Can rot in hell! Is that it, Tess?" Oliver asked snidely. Arthur and Victor shook their heads.
But Dinah had more to say.
"Wow. You're going home. Will you be joining Chloe as well?"
"Chloe is here someplace! And I'm sure she's being tortured by Lor-Zod!" Tess responded.
"Oh the hell she is!" Dinah snapped back. "Lor-Zod jettisoned her back to Earth after having sex with her! And you can bet, they had 'sex'! There was nothing forced there! Chloe started ALL OF OUR TROUBLES!" Dinah screamed.
"Calm down." Bruce said coolly, but Dinah turned on him.
"Chloe isn't here. Lois Lane isn't here! Oh and that Amazon bitch that you dragged into this league isn't here either! Apparently she IS going to marry Kal-El! So to hell with you too, Bruce!"
"Dinah," Tess said calmly, "Lois is your last chance. I told you I sent her to that other reality to find out how to beat the Kryptonians. Kal-El found her there. He is back..."
"And she is still there!" Victor hissed. "Look, I love Lois, but she is not smart enough to come up with some 'master plan' to help us escape from here! And if Kal-El found her there and didn't bring her and that kid she supposedly had by him, back, that's probably because they CAN'T COME BACK!"
"He killed her." Arthur agreed. Bruce shook his head.
"My double in that reality would've never let that happen!"
Screams could suddenly be heard! Then the door opened and Diana walked in. She waited until the guard closed the door before speaking. She was now dressed in some kind of Kryptonian garb.
"Nice clothes, bitch!" Dinah sneered. Diana ignored her and looked at Bruce.
"Hello, Bruce. I am sorry that this has happened."
Bruce said nothing but looked away. Diana spoke.
"Those screams are those of Zod. Apparently, Kal-El discovered that the child that Chloe and Lor-Zod had was a monster."
The prisoners all looked at one another in confusion. Diana continued on.
"Lor-Zod was 'created' in a lab, when Zod and his wife Ursa, could not have children. The genetic defect did not show itself in Lor-Zod right away but..."
"I don't really care," Oliver said sarcastically, "unless this has to do with OUR situation? Are you still one of us or have you defected as well?"
"This planet is going to blow up, because my mother cursed it. The only way to save it, is to marry Kal-El, as originally planned." Diana said sadly, looking at Bruce again.
Bruce took a deep breath.
"So the answer to Oliver's question is 'no', Diana? And Kal-El is married to Lois."
"Lois will be brought back from wherever she is, and forced to participate in a divorce ceremony." Diana said solemnly.
Another guard came into the room.
"Your father is here." he said to Tess. Tess followed him out without looking at any of the other members. Other guards came in to return the other prisoners to their cells, but Diana asked that Bruce stay behind. Knowing that she was about to marry Kal-El, her orders were carried out.
Soon, Diana and Bruce were left alone.
"There is nothing left to say, Diana."
"You know, that I have no intention of letting you go to the Phantom Zone. As Kal-El's wife, I will be able to control the situation better than Lois did."
"In what way? Lois, for the most part, had the affection of that Kryptonian. You don't. And it was that affection that kept us out of trouble until now." Bruce told her pointedly.
"I have something that will keep Kal-El in line. Just promise me that none of you will give up. I will get us out of this." Diana said.
"How? Diana, we can't live on promises and magic...and God knows what else."
"As I said before, I will have something that will keep Kal-El in line."
"You said you already had it! Diana, I know our relationship is not what you would like for it to be. But I do have deep feelings for you, just as I had for Lois. And I won't have women 'saving me', with their bodies. Not anymore."
Diana said nothing to that. She closed the distance between herself and Bruce and gave him a small kiss on the mouth, before turning and walking towards the door. She summoned a guard and left the cell without looking back at him.
There was another delivery to the Phantom Zone.
Giganta.
Lex Luthor was released at the same time Giganta was thrown in. Then, thanks to the switched alliance of the guard that monitored the portal in to the Phantom Zone, Lex was smuggled on to a ship, along with Tess and President Luthor.
Once the ship was out in deep space, Lex had a slap across the face for Tess! He then issued a stern warning to both of his children.
"We will pretend as if none of this nonsense ever took place," Lionel said coldly, "YOU did not marry a Kryptonian woman. YOU were never part of that Justice League. You will start doing as I say. when I say do it, or both of you can end up back on that God forsaken planet."
Lex smirked!
"Tell me, Father, what kind of deal did you make? Surely the Kryptonians didn't just agree to look the other way on this one?"
"The Kryptonians haven't 'agreed' to anything." Lionel responded. Tess tilted her head.
"Because you made another deal, right?" Tess asked, her manner sneering. Lionel's next words were appalling.
"You, young lady, will be marrying Oswald Chester Cobblepot. He has always been especially enamored of you."
Tess gasped and backed back!
"That...that...malformed..."
"Yes, well he will be your husband soon. And Alexander?"
Lex was almost afraid to ask! He swallowed.
"Yes, Father?"
"You will be marrying Lucy Lane. Her father is very displeased with her suitors of late."
Lex raised a brow. Lucy Lane. She was the more agreeable sister of Lois Lane. And cute.
"Alright, Father. If I must."
"Hey!" Tess snapped. "Does anyone see a problem here? Lex gets to marry someone he can stand SMELLING, and I have to marry someone who's ass smells like..."
"Money, dear. Money and influence. Now not another word out of either of you. And by the way, daughter, you went against my government. Maybe that's why the 'marriage pie' seems so unequal."
OTHER REALITY
Lois held her son, who would always be 'Baby Clark' in her heart, but officially was now to be called 'Lon-El'. She herself was dressed in some Kryptonian shirt and pants. She had pulled her hair back(just so she could look a little more official), but her intention was to free Bruce and Alfred, get her hands on one of those rock collars(there had to be a few lying around), take them back to the other reality and rid Earth of the Kryptonians.
But doing that meant she would need Bounty Hunter Bruce's help. And that would also mean that he would have to understand that she would have to leave him here. He could not exist in the same reality, the other Bruce Wayne was in.
Kal-El had killed his version that lived here, just so he could come back and forth. But Lois had to blunt those plans. She could not stay here, and she was unsure as to why Kal-El was alright with her staying here?
One of the Kryptonian doctors thought it would be best to examine 'Lon-El' to see what the extent of his abilities would be, being half human. Lois was hesitant at first, but then realized that a Kryptonian doctor would probably understand what was going on better than a regular M.D.. Plus she didn't want any surprises.
And now, it was time for her to act like some turncoat. A traitor. A human who was married to a Kryptonian and had now totally thrown in with the Kryptonians. And she had to do it AND rescue Bounty Hunter Bruce and Alfred.
Lois took a deep breath, left her baby with some strange Kryptonian doctor and headed out into the hallway. The few Kryptonians she ran in to on the second floor of Bruce's mansion, nodded to her. Lois nodded back, then reached the landing to go down the stairs...
Lara was waiting for her. Lara, who looked rather stern. She hadn't had much interaction with Kal-El's mother in the other universe, and didn't particularly feel like having any now.
"Lara," Lois said, assuming this woman's name was 'Lara' here as well, "how are you?"
"How am I? I've been told that my son was be-headed by another version of him. I can see that another version of YOU, is here. One that has been put in charge of my son's forces, because you are MARRIED to him. How do you think I am, Earth woman?"
Lois cleared her throat.
"The name is Lois. And I get that your ticked off..."
"Ticked off? What is that? Earth humor?"
"No..."
"I have been told that I have a grandson. I want to see him."
"Whoa, lady! You're not seeing a damned thing until you dial back the attitude!" Lois snapped. Two Kryptonian guards suddenly were behind her. One of them spoke.
"You should leave." he said. Lara looked him up and down, then returned her gaze to Lois.
"My real son could not abide you. I don't know what you've done to another version of my child, but I'm putting you on notice: I will make him see the error of his ways. And soon, I will be raising my grandson. Not you."
Lois could not help it. Her first connected with Lara's cheek.
Not that Lara was hurt.
But Lois was.
"OH MY GOD! THAT WOMAN FORCED ME TO HIT HER! DETAIN HER!"
The guards grabbed Lara, who tried to throw them, but a third was brought in to drag her off! Lara screamed obscenities that she must have learned from her time on this planet. Lois gingerly touched her hand as an alternate version of Lex Luthor suddenly appeared before her.
"Are you alright?" he asked. Lois eyed him warily.
"I guess..."
"Let one of our doctors look at that. I was sent in to find out when the execution is to take place?"
Lois's eyes widened.
"Execution?"
"Of Bruce Wayne and his traitorous servant. They were responsible for enslaving people just because they were aliens." Lex said solemnly. Lois almost rolled her eyes. Wow. This Lex was just as slick as the other one.
"So, how long have you been taking up for the other side, Lex?"
Lex smiled coldly.
"Probably as long as you have. I mean you did marry Kal-El in another dimension, then come here to spy for him."
"Errr, yes." Lois said through gritted teeth.
"Well, then there is no point in looking back. We are both being called traitors to our own kind. But there is nothing to be done about it. We have to survive. Now, I think a public execution is in order. We can't have Earthlings holding out hope that things will return to the way they were." Lex said.
"No. I guess not." Lois said, still unable to believe she was being forced to throw in with the likes of Lex Luthor.
"And since Kal-El has put you in charge, you should decide."
"Well, Lex, I am in charge. But I also think that Kal-El will want to be present. Don't you think?"
Lex nodded slowly.
"I agree. He would want to see one of his greatest enemies perish."
"Slowly," Lois said, "so I need to talk to him about how he wants that done. You know he's very busy trying to control unruly Earthlings in our dimension as well."
"Fine. Do you know when Kal-El will be returning?"
"No. That's why he left me in charge. Now, I want to see the prisoners. I do believe in mercy and I'm sure they will have last requests."
"Lois, you're thinking like a prison warden. Kryptonians don't do 'last requests'." Lex advised her.
"And Kal-El did not say that I couldn't rule in his place using a little Earth thinking. What could it hurt? I'm sure it will be a good cigar or something." Lois replied.
"Fine. We will put the execution aside until you confer with Kal-El. Now, what about the new wave of prisoners?"
"New wave of prisoners?" Lois asked, totally lost.
"Yes. Everyone that helped Bruce Wayne with the creation of that rock collar. All of his employees at Wayne Industries. We have taken over the company and I am acting president."
Of course, Lois thought, Lex had always wanted to get his hands on Bruce's company.
"Let me think on that." Lois answered.
Lex eyed her.
"What is there to think about? We need to decide who is to be executed and who will be jailed for life."
"What else do you need to talk to me about, Lex?" Lois asked with annoyance. God, how could Lana stand this guy in any dimension?
"The fall out from that monster child Bruce Wayne was harboring. There were murders of Earthlings and Kryptonians. Does Kal-El plan on returning with it here?"
"Probably not. He wants Zod to answer for it in the other dimension." Lois said. "Now is that all?"
"For now." Lex said and Lois very gladly walked away from him. Lex was going to be a problem. Why that surprised her, Lois didn't know.
Back in the other reality, Kal-El was forced to endure an 'pre-engagement soiree' for himself and Diana Prince.
Diana knew that Kal-El was less then pleased by the turn of events. They sat at a table alone and Diana tried to make conversation.
"I am just as displeased by the turn of events as you are." she told him.
Kal-El did not answer her.
"But I want to make this work. I know that you were unsure of what kind of wife I would be."
"I was 'sure' when you turned down my simple request." Kal-El said in a bored tone.
"You wanted me to perform a sexual act before the marriage!"
"Something you were willing to do with Bruce Wayne. How is your boyfriend? Maybe I'll go and torture him a bit. That would be more entertaining than this affair."
Diana pursed her lips. She loathed Kal-El! Absolutely, positively loathed him. And the idea of what she had to do made her sick! But it had to be done.
She would have to get Kal-El to have sex with her. It was the only chance she had to pass the child she was carrying, off as a Kryptonian.
Diana reached out to touch Kal-El's hand. He looked down at her hand on his, then looked at her.
"What are you doing?" he asked blithely.
"I want to prove to you that I am ready to be a wife to you, if for no other reason, to save Kryptonian kind." Diana said sincerely.
Kal-El did not know what had come over Diana Prince as of late, but he decided to play along.
"Fine. Let's go back to my private quarters."
Meanwhile, Kara watched as Kal-El and Diana walked off someplace. Her mother Allura was soon by her side.
"Where you you think those two are off to?" Allura asked.
"Who cares. Is Father meeting with Darkseid?"
Allura nodded and looked around to make sure they were not overheard. Jor-El and Lara were off conversing. Their gestures looked rather animated. She looked at Kara.
"Are you ready for this? You know what kind of deal your father is making with that man."
Kara looked her mother in the eye.
"Zod and Ursa will be put in the Phantom Zone anyday now, followed by Lor-Zod. Kal-El has bungled things badly. The Council doesn't know the extent of the deal that was made, to retrieve Lex and Tess. Darkseid and his forces will get rid of the Kryptonians on Earth. We will move to Earth and make sure the Earthlings fall in line with the people of Apokolips."
Allura took a deep breath.
"I know we are taking a big chance here."
"Mother, I will never rule here or be thought of over Kal-El. We have to make our move now. I won't go back to being married off to anyone Kal-El and Uncle Jor-El want me to, when they need something."
"But this is Darkseid." Allura warned her only daughter.
"I'm much wiser this time around." Kara said, thinking of the child Diana carried. She would use the news of the true paternity of that child, to her advantage.
Kal-El took Diana back to the bedroom that he would have shared with Lois, walked over to a drawer and pulled out a mask with a bit of hair around it! Kal-El straightened the hair a bit, then handed the mask to Diana. The face looked vaguely familiar...
"What is this?" Diana asked.
"It's a mask of Lois's face." Kal-El said matter-of-factly.
"You have a mask of Lois's face?" Diana asked, now unable to hide her contempt.
"I don't like your tone, 'fiancee'. Yes, I have a mask of Lois's face."
"How did you get it?"
"That is none of your concern. Now, as my wife, you will wear that mask everytime we have sexual relations."
Diana dropped the mask to the floor and stepped on it!
"You have a lot of nerve!" Diana hissed. "I could very well ask you to wear a 'Bruce Mask'."
"That would never happen. Because that would imply that I would ever be interested in making love to a woman, who's MOTHER is trying to blow up this planet. Wear the mask if you want any sex from me, Diana. And it does seem as if you do want some. I just can't imagine why." Kal-El said coldly. He then bent down to retrieve the mask.
Diana was LIVID! Livid, tired and just plain appalled! She suffered Darkseid, lost Bruce and now was forced to endure Kal-El's company. And then the ultimate insult.
He would not touch her unless she wore a mask of Lois Lane's face! And there were bits of hair surrounding it.
It was too much.
Diana looked around, found a meteor looking lamp, grabbed it and brained Kal-El across the back of the head with it! To hell with this planet and it's people!
But as Diana slammed the door behind her, Bruce and the other Justice Leaguers came to mind. She had to come up with a way to free them!
Suddenly, everything began to shake! Diana pressed herself against a wall to hold on, but the wall suddenly collapsed! Breathing hard, she swayed as she tried to make her way to safety, leaving an unconscious Kal-El on the floor next to the Lois Mask.
Meanwhile, Jor-El, Zor-El, Brainiac and the others on the Kryptonian Council, looked into what was happening. And it was not good.
"WE DON'T HAVE A MONTH! THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR PLANET IS TAKING PLACE NOW!" Jor-El yelled.
"WE HAVE TO GET TO THE SPACE PORT! THE PRISONERS MUST BE FREED AND LEFT TO SURVIVE ON THEIR OWN!" Zor-El yelled as well. He had plans for his own family, but he needed to survive first!
Bruce, Oliver and the rest of the imprisoned Justice Leaguers saw their prison doors open. The guards yelled at them to save themselves if they could! Oliver grabbed Dinah and everyone else held on as they tried to avoid falling debris and floors that were splitting open wide!
Diana somehow managed to make her way to them! She ran into Bruce's arms!
"WE HAVE TO GET TO THE SPACE PORT! THE SHIPS ARE LEAVING FAST!" she yelled.
Kal-El awoke to find his whole world falling apart! The realization hit him that Krypton was dying around him. He struggled to get up, but was knocked back to the ground several times! He would not make it out of this compound alive! Had his parents made it out?
Kal-El struggled to get up and managed to avoid falling debris, as he opened a dresser drawer that was still intact and pulled out the device that would take him to the other reality. To Lois and Lon-El.
Meanwhile, Lois was sitting in her room, drumming her fingers along a dressing table, when Kal-El suddenly appeared looking bedraggled! Lois jumped up and hurried to him!
"Kal? What happened? Were you mugged?"
"No! Lois, Krypton is gone! It's destroyed and Diana Prince's mother is responsible!" he seethed. Lois frowned. What was he talking about? She could see he had been through something, that was for sure!
"Okay, calm down. Let me get you something to drink and..."
"Lois, where is our son? Tell me he is alright?"
"He's fine, Kal. He's getting a check-up. WHAT happened again?"
Meanwhile, something else was going down. Down in the dungeon.
Lara was having a 'talk' with Bounty Hunter Bruce and Alfred.
"I will help you get out of here. And do what you will. But I want that THING that murdered my son, dealt with. And his whore bride!"
"That woman is really MY wife," Bounty Hunter Bruce told her, "so nothing is going to happen to her. I would suggest you move to another reality. Because what I will do will affect you as well."
"Just see that it is done." Lara said, then called for a guard! One appeared and Lara told him that she wanted to show her loyalty to her 'son's' wife. The door opened and...
Lara backhanded the guard then stepped on his throat! Alfred hurried out of the cell, followed by Bruce, who ran to a panel on the wall and opened it up! There was a keypad...
Bounty Hunter Bruce looked at Lara.
"Go. Now."
Lara hurried from the cellblock to find a portal to another reality. Just as the Kryptonian guard jumped up to detain Bruce, he punched in a code...
A high-pitched sound emitted that only Kryptonians could hear! And the area the signal spanned was vast. The guard fell to the floor screaming until he passed out. Back up in Lois's room, Kal-El dropped as well, scaring the hell out of Lois!
"Kal?! Kal?! Lois yelled. She then jumped up and ran from the room, looking for Lon-El! The doctor was passed out on the floor and Lon-El was screaming! His little ear was bleeding!
Alfred appeared.
"Ms. Lois, you have to take the baby and go back to your own reality! Baby Clark won't survive here!"
"Kal is here! He's sick!" Lois yelled. But Alfred activated a device that opened up a portal.
"Master Bruce will come back for you when it is safe." Alfred told her, pushing Lois and the baby, through it. He then closed the portal, went to her room and found Kal-El unconscious on the floor. He smiled. Master Bruce would especially like this.
Lois ended up back in her dorm room! Baby Clark had stopped crying but his ear looked hurt. Lois began breathing heavily as she looked around. What had just happened? Why was she back here and what would happen to Kal-El in the other reality?

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I left this story at a cliffhanger point, because I plan to resume the New JLA tale, at another date. It will be revealed who survived the Krypton disaster, whether Darkseid and Kara will rule Earth, what will happen when Lucy finds out about her 'engagement' to Lex(and how Bizarro deals with it) and if and when, Kal-El escapes the other reality as Bounty Hunter Bruce's picture and finds his way back to Lois.
