Micky555, I hope this was what you were hoping for! :) Enjoy!
Fear
Oliver was sitting at his desk at QC when he got the call. All he could remember was the frantic voice of Olivia's teacher saying that his little girl was nowhere to be found. He'd hung up on the poor woman and gone in search of his wife, to find her tearfully making her way to find him.
"What are we going to do", Felicity asked as her husband pulled her close.
"We find the person responsible and we make them pay", Oliver said, a dangerous glint in his eyes.
Felicity followed her husband on wooden legs to the lobby where John had the car waiting. One look at his worried face told her that he knew. She sat down in the back seat, her mind running in ten different directions at once.
Her baby girl had been kidnapped! Then the overwhelming need to hold her son in her arms and insure that he was safe caused nears to stream down her face.
"We have to get to Archer, Oliver. I can only imagine how terrified he must be right now", Felicity sobbed.
Oliver pulled his wife into his embrace, stroking her blond hair lovingly. The sound of her gasping sobs wrenched at his heart, and rage welled up inside him. Whoever had taken his daughter would feel the heat of his wrath if it were the last thing he ever did.
The black Bentley came to a stop in front of the Starling City Elementary School. The SCPD was already on the scene, questioning teacher and staff. Oliver climbed from the car, telling his wife to stay put.
He made his way over to Detective Lance, his stride purposeful and his expression dark.
"We're doing all we can", Lance said as he approached.
"Thank you, Detective. I need to get my son", Oliver ground out through clenched teeth.
"Certainly, he's with one of the officers", Quentin replied as he motioned one of his men over.
When the little boy saw his father, he immediately ran into his open arms. Oliver held his son firmly to his chest as the little boy cried. His little body shook with the force of his tears that were falling steadily against his father's neck.
Oliver carried Archer to the car and deposited him the back seat with Felicity. Just then his phone began to ring. He stared at the unknown number on his caller ID for lifting the device to his ear.
"Hello, Mr. Queen. I believe I have something that belongs to you", a garbled voice said on the other end of the line.
"Where is my daughter? What have you done with her", Oliver practically yelled.
Ethan Monroe chuckled at the sound of his enemy's fear.
"All in good time, Mr. Queen. I will call again in one hour to negotiate with you for your daughter's life", he said before hanging up.
His attention turned to the quiet little girl at his feet. She sat with her feet bound by zip-ties and a little teddy bear was clutched in her hands. Silent tears rolled down her cheeks, and her pretty blue eyes stared at him accusingly.
"You're Daddy will be coming soon, sweetheart. Just wait and see."
Oliver roared as the line went dead, he resisted the urge to throw his phone against the pavement. Diggle stood beside him a look of anger flickering in his eyes.
"What did he say?"
"He said he would call back in one hour. We need to get Felicity and Archer to the foundry so we can be ready to trace that call", Oliver growled.
He watched as Diggle returned to the driver's seat, and he regained his seat beside his wife. There son had cried himself to sleep, and was held securely in his mother's arms.
Oliver heard a peck on the window; he rolled it down to reveal Detective Lance.
"Have you received any phone calls asking for ransom?"
"No, Detective but when I do you'll be the first to know", Oliver said his expression changing to that of a concerned parent instead of an angry vigilante.
"I'll keep in touch, and Oliver. We're going to find her", Lance said as he backed away from the car.
"Yes we will", Oliver murmured under his breath as the car sped away.
When they reached the foundry, Oliver carried his sleeping son down the metal stairs before laying him on a cot beside Felicity's workstation. He changed out of his suit and tie, exchanging them for his workout gear.
He moved to the salmon ladder to work off some of his pent up energy. The loud clang of the bar as he moved upward soothing his rage. He'd laid his phone of his wife's desk, not wanting to miss the call that was sure to come any moment.
He wasn't to be disappointed. As he reached the top rung of the ladder, his phone began to buzz. Oliver jumped to the ground, landing effortlessly on his feet. He quickly made his way to answer the call.
"Hello, Mr. Queen. I have someone who'd like to speak to you."
Oliver's breath caught when he heard the frightened voice of his five-year-old daughter.
"Daddy, I'm scared", her little voice quivered.
"I know, baby, but Daddy's gonna come get you real quick okay", Oliver said, tears clogging his throat.
Then a high-pitched scream came through the earpiece, causing the hair on Oliver's neck to stand on end.
"If you harm one hair on her head, I will kill you", Oliver said menacingly.
He looked at his wife, and noticed her thumb's up. He sighed in relief, they had a location.
"Tsk, tsk, temper Mr. Queen. Remember your blood pressure", came the singsong voice across the line.
Oliver was just about to respond when the line went dead.
"I got a location, Oliver. He's in the Glades; it looks like near the docks. Possibly an old warehouse", Felicity called over her shoulder.
Oliver was already moving to his Arrow suit. He pulled on the tight green leather, and grabbed his bow and quiver before making his way over to where his wife stood.
"Be careful", Felicity said as she pulled up his hood and placed a soft kiss on his lips.
"I will", he replied cupping her cheek.
He made his way out of the foundry and to his waiting motorcycle, while Digg and Roy followed in the van. The sound of his wife's voice in his ear was the only thing keeping Oliver from losing himself in his anger.
They finally made it to the warehouse, and Oliver quickly climbed onto the roof. He made crawled through a hole in the ceiling and quietly crept through the building in search of his daughter.
He finally caught sight of them in a dimly lit corner of the warehouse. He jumped down from his high vantage point, and rolled when he hit the ground to avoid injury. Then he stood face to face with his daughter's captor.
"Who are you", the man asked, a slight tremor of fear in his voice.
"I'm your worst nightmare", Oliver growled as he lunged at the man.
The battle was short lived, and soon Oliver stood over the unconscious form of the kidnapper. He saw Diggle rushing in, and told him to see to Livy while he ran to change.
On his way to the van, Oliver talked to Felicity.
"We found her", he said relieved.
"Thank goodness", Felicity said, tears evident in her voice.
"Sweetheart, I need you to call Barry. Tell him to meet us here at the docks to pick up this scumbag. I can't take him to the SCPD because I fear it would look a little suspicious."
"Sure, babe, I'll call him right now."
Oliver ducked into the black van and quickly changed into his slacks and dress shirt before running back into the warehouse. When Livy spotted him, her little arms reached for him as a little sob escaped her tiny chest.
He took her from Digg, burying his face in her blond curls. Her small hands fisted in the material of his shirt and she refused to let go.
Soon, the Flash appeared and took Mr. Monroe to Central City to await trial. Barry said that he and Joe would think up an elaborate cover story to tamp down suspicion. Oliver thanked him profusely before making his way to the van, his little girl still secured against his chest.
"Digg, tell Arsenal to take the Ducati. I'll ride home with you", Oliver said as he climbed into the passenger seat of the van.
The drive home was silent. Oliver thanked Diggle for the ride when they pulled up in front of the Queen Mansion, then quickly made his way inside. He found his wife waiting for him in Livy's room.
They both worked to get the little girl out of her soiled clothes and into clean pajamas before settling her in bed. Their daughter had fallen asleep sometime on the way home and appeared to be resting peacefully in her own bed.
Oliver's frightful gaze turned to his wife, "I thought we'd lost her today. This is the first time someone has made a move to hurt my family because of who I am and not my night time activities."
"Oliver, this world is full of dangerous people. The good thing is, the kids and I have you. As long as you're here I have complete confidence that you'll keep us safe", she said as she wound her arms around his neck.
"You always have such faith in me, it's very humbling you know."
"Well, somebody's gotta keep you from getting a big head", Felicity smirked before tugging on his hand and leading him to their bedroom.
