-SAM-

"Hopefully this snow storm is keeping everyone in doors, it will be easier to get in town," Gabe murmured to himself still holding Sam close to his chest. Sam clung desperately to Gabe not wanting to fall.

"We should be fine." Charlie replied back loudly over the rushing wind, "Sam I know your hurting and you probably just want to close your eyes and sleep but we need you to stay awake." Sam grunted burring his face into Gabe's shoulder and screamed as another shot of pain ripped through him, it felt like his heart was trying to rip itself out of his chest though his ribs and darkness threatening to engulf him.

"Stay with me hun." Gabe begged against Sam's ear, "We are so close, just give me 10 more minutes of consciousness. You will get to Balthazar."

"I'm trying," Sam grunted though clenched teeth. His eyes were squeezed shut and his hands were clenched into fists around the fabric of Gabe's shirt.

After a few more minutes of blinding pain, Sam felt Sphen come to a slow then stop, "Please help!" Gabe yelled swinging himself and Sam off Sphen's back. Gabe still held Sam close to his chest as he walked closer to the front gates of the palace.

A woman threw open the front gates, "Prince Sam!" she exclaimed then yelled back at the courtyard, "Someone help me!"

Sam looked up, expecting to Lucifer running forward to help but only saw two other men running forward, and ruby the duchess was standing closest to him.

He glared as best he could at the rude woman through his tired eyes, "Where's Luc? Where's Balthazar?" Sam asked his voice scratchy and croaking.

"That servant is busy at the moment," Ruby snapped back at Sam a tight smile on her face, "And Balthazar is up in your mother's library. I can lead the three of you up." She turned to the two men who had just arrived behind her. "Marcous I think you can Carry Sam. Chuck can you please go grab my….present from my room?" both men nodded, the man named Marcous walking forward and taking Sam from Gabe's arms.

"Be careful with him!" Sam heard Gabe yell, "And make sure he gets to Balthazar!" Sam peaked over Marcous' shoulder to get one last look at Gabe. His bright caramel eyes filled with worry as he stared back at Sam. Then the gates closed and Sam couldn't see him anymore. Sam gritted his teeth against another small shot of pain and breathed his best though his teeth.

After a few minutes, Ruby was shepherding he and Marcous into the library, "Sam!" Balthazar exclaimed. Sam turned his head slowly and saw him. His hair stuck up at odd angles as if he took to pulling at it when he was stressed. Balthazar staged forward and took Sam into his arms. Sam stumbled unsteadily to his feet clinging to Balthazar to stay up right.

"I feel fucking horrible." Sam grumbled clinging to Balthazar.

"You're burning up Sam, what's wrong what happened?" Sam felt Balthazar lead him slowly to the love seat near the fire.

"Dean hurt me. He didn't mean to but his magic exploded out of him and it is encircling my heart. The only way to make it go away is an act of true love. You love me; I love you so I just need you to kiss me." Sam gasped out clinging to the front of Balthazar's jacket.

Balthazar smiled, "A true loves kiss," and leaned forward his lips brushing against Sam's.

"I don't feel any different," Sam said quietly shivering slightly.

"It's cute you think that his heart loves you." Sam looked around weekly to see Ruby walking back into the room a chain hanging from her hand a smirk on her soft red lips.

"What are you talking about?" Sam asked shutting his eyes momentarily squeezing shut as a small flare of pain shot through him again.

"His heart loves him." She smiled in pride ad she yanked the chain forward. Luc crawled forward into the room a chain tight around his black and blue neck. He had a black eye, a split lip and dried blood dripping and smeared away from his nose. He was stripped down to his underwear and looked completely miserable.

"Luc!" Both Sam and Balthazar exclaimed together. Balthazar lurched away from Sam and fell on his knees in front of Lucifer. Yanking his jacket off he wrapped it around him and yanked the chain off his neck.

"See," Ruby chucked walking around the pair and picking up the jug of water on the table, "Now Sam if only there were someone out there who actually loved you and didn't ask you to marry him in hopes that you two would stay here. If he married you he could stay married and in the royal and approved name, but be with his true lover behind the scenes." She walked in front of the fire now a cold smile on her face. "You were so desperate to find someone to love and take you away from here that you never considered if the person you were going to marry even loved you." she poured the water over the fire making the flames die, "I was worried about the trade between out kingdoms but I don't have to worry anymore. Once you die and I kill Dean, Balthazar will take over a ruling king. And if he doesn't want me to murder his lover," She turned her cold gaze to the couple on the ground, "You will do every single thing I say."

"You can't fucking do this!" Sam gasped rolling off the couch and weekly on the floor.

"Oh sweetheart I already have." She walked out grabbing the matches and locking the door behind her.

"NO!" Sam gasped out

"Sam let her go." Luc said sounding just as week.

"I'm going to die." Sam turned his frightened eyes to Luc.

-DEAN-

Dean gowned opening his eyes to a plain white room his hands completely encased in metal. His head pounded and it too him a few seconds to remember what happened.

"You can go." Dean looked up to the bars and down the empty hall way. He knew that voice. It was Ruby, the woman who had already tried to kill him once before. He yanked several times at his chains with no hope of escape. The buzzer came loud from up the hall way he needed to escape. Feeling the fear deep in his belly he concentrated on it and let it flow to his fingers. Within a few seconds he could feel the metal bending away from his flesh as the red goo seeped out from him.

-SAM-

"We can figure this out." Balthazar said almost desperately as he helped Sam back onto the couch next to Luc.

"No we can't." Luc said through his fat lip, "Ruby holds all the chips."

"Sam?" Sam twisted quickly around to see Castiel flying right outside the window.

"Open the window!" Sam exclaimed at Balthazar who stared dumbfounded at the half naked man who was flying out side. Balthazar rushed over to the window and opened it. He stood aside as Castiel climbed in the window. His wings folded into his skin.

"Are you better? Which one is Balthazar?" Castiel asked looking between the two men.

"No I'm not better. Balthazar doesn't love me." Sam replied sadly.

"Wait so your telling me you asked a man who loved you to bring you to a man that didn't love you?" he asked confused.

"Gabe doesn't love me." Sam replied brushing his now completely red hair away from his eyes.

"Like hell he doesn't." Castiel argued back, "he traveled with you when he didn't have to; to make sure you would be ok. He introduced you to his family. Even his family could see how much that he loved you. Pixies don't lie and wouldn't try to marry people who don't love each other."

"Wait your saying Gabe loved me?" Sam asked

"I'm pretty sure he still loves you." Castiel replied.

"I have to get to him." Sam said struggling to stand up.

"Good thing he is already coming back for you." Castiel held his arm out to help Sam up and towards the window.

"Castiel I can't fly," Sam said weekly grabbing the window ledge,

"I can't either. It's limited for me. So we will have to slide down." Castiel explained and helped lift Sam up and onto the roof and snow. "Just close your eyes you'll be at the bottom before you know it." Castiel yelled over the now howling wind. Sam nodded, closed his eyes and slid down the roof, Castiel following close behind.
