Chapter 20 Elder Brother

Yo! Minna-san! Your dear Author-san is back with another Chapter of Void's Vessel as promised! I'll post the result of the pairings poll at the end of chapter as it's already reached its due date! And Happy Birthday Aichi (^_^) ! Without further ado here's chapter twenty! Enjoy!

THE SOCIETY, NORTHPOLE BRANCH..
He watched the snow slowly falling down outside of his window was completely silent. The flakes from the sky are like petals , gathering in heaps on the ground below, to give it's cold white blessing . Watching them reminded him of his former self, his earlier days. That no matter how hard he tried to forget . He can't.
Unconsciously, his right hand reached out from the drawer , to get an old picture. a family picture to be exact. There's four exclusive member of it including a new born child being held by a very fine blue haired lady. That the child was-
There's a knocked on his door that interrupted his thoughts but he was glad it cut him from those things as he shouldn't be thinking about happiness and freedom, All he need to do is the success of the project even if it's mean throwing everything away including his family. He immediately thrown back the picture on his drawer , slamming it shut.
"Yes. Who is it?"
"It's me, Zwei. Master," Came of a monotous reply.
"Come in."
Zenon didn't need to think twice as soon as he get the permission to enter, he stepped in the room and quietly closed the door behind him.
"I'm sorry to intrude you, master." Zwei make an apologetic bow.
"It's fine, so what do you need from me?"
Zwei raised up his head and stand up straight as he face the Master of the Society. "I've come here to report some findings on Amazon branch , It seems like someone is sabotaging our facilities as all of them are being destroyed one by one along with our important members like Doctor Yamamoto"
"So are you telling me that Yamamoto is dead as well?"
"Yes."
Silence struck between them .
Zwei decided to choose his words carefully before speaking up again. "Master, I'm sorry to ask this but are you certain that Shirohime can complete her task, I'm not saying that she's incapable of doing it but judging her ways of dealing things it's impossible for her do it, to find The Knight of Round. I mean"
The Master didn't turn to Zwei instead he face the window as he silently observed the cold weather outside.
"It's true that Shirohime might failed her task but she won't let that happen as The Knights of Round must reunite and assembled if she wants to see The King again, She will do whatever it takes to find them as they are all necessary for The-"
"The Void Project . It's the project that gives birth to The King and to his Knights most especially of the embodiment of nothingness, Void." He paused for a moment. "But , All of those are beneficial factor to awaken the King. His Awakening will bring the world to its final stand and he will grant power and wishes to those people who survived, Am I right?"
"Yes. That's why we must continue it as the Void Project will be the final reactment of everything..."

Ishikawa Hospital..
As the others arrived at the hospital grounds, The only word they can descirbed the place and situation was 'A TOTAL CHAOS'. As the entire place was in verge of complete destruction,collapsing and burning. Screams of horror echoed from the place as the explosion keep on continue happening inside and outside the establishment as if there is a fight happening which is true. The staff of fire bureau hospital- trying to calmed the people but with no avail as another blast occured. They can't come near at the place because it's already dangerous so all they can do is to wait as the rescuers try to saved the others who are still inside the building.
"HEY!" a familiar voice called out their attention.
They all turned their head to search at the familiar voice in the crowd after a moment of searching in the area they spotted a blonde haired boy being patched up , waving up at them . It's no other than Miwa.
"Miwa, Are you okay?" They all asked as they approached the injured boy.
"I'm fine just a sprain and scratches! It's nothing serious!" He assured them with a smile upon seeing their worried expressions.
They're still not fully conviced but decided to shrug it off and asked "Miwa,Where's the others?"
"We got separated," Miwa heave a sigh of irritation and went on. "I'm with Daigo and Shin but when I'm near to the exit, I've realized the two are no longer with me then I found a boy in the middle of the building and tried to help him out ending me like this." he gestured his injuries after explaining.
"They went back to get the others?"
"Well, That's I assumed what they did." Miwa nodded at them.
"So, You're telling us that the others are still inside?"
"Yeah"
"No way.."
"Let's pray and hope they're still alright" He glanced at the collapsing building, the others followed his action. They're praying and hoping that Aichi and the rest are safe.
But , What exactly going inside?

" -kun, It's been awhile isn't it?"
SILENCE.
Aichi's heart skipped a bit upon seeing Shirohime's form before them. He didn't expect her making an appearance but she's a person hard to predict in words and actions. He can't helped but stared at her wide eyes in horror.
The silence was broken when Kai spoken as nobody seem to want to talk as all of them are busy staring at one another so he gladly obliged do the questioning.
"Who the hell are you people?" He struggled with his words. He thinks that his lungs were punctured which isn't good.
The others glanced at him. They had completely forgotten he was there and Aichi look at him suprised.
"What?" Kai growled,seeing Aichi stared at him.
"Well, you shouldn't speak Kai-kun" Aichi simply said, leaning him on the nearest wall to avoid him from moving too much.
Shirohime cleared her throat and everyone turned their attention to her. "You ask me, Who am I? Kai Toshiki? Intersting." She smiled at him. Her tone of voice is like she had found another prey to hunt and played with. Her eyes glinting with an intent to harm and kill which brings a cold vibes at the people surrounds her. "I'm from THE SOCIETY,Of Course." she chimed.
"Society?" Kai arched an eyebrow. "An organization?"
"Oh, right. You don't know what the Society is...Yes. It's an organization and we're the group who is after Sendou Aichi." she pointed Aichi and went on. "By the way my name is Shirohime and that girl besides you is Kuro-No-Saaya. My Elder Twin Sister!."
In an instant , Kai pulled Aichi away from Saaya at the thought she was an enemy as well.
Saaya frowned at him. "Don't get the wrong idea, boy. I'm not the same league with this cretin-"She motioned Shirohime who's the one who turned to frowned at her comment.
"Hey. I'm not that dumb!" She protested but Saaya ignored her in favor of Kai.
"I'm an Executor . We're against THE SOCIETY in other words were enemies" Saaya explained.
"So, The video was to warned us?."
"Uh huh."
Kai stared disbelievingly at Saaya and Shirohime as the two confessed their part in this mess. He turned to Aichi who looked calm and impassive but the fear is evident in his eyes which means they're telling the truth and he glance back at Saaya , expectantly for more information but-
"You've already got the answer so don't look at me like I'm encyclopedia because-" Saaya didn't managed to complete her sentence as she blocked another attack from Shirohime without sparing her a glance.
"Don't you dare talk and ignore me while I'm still here!" Shirohime sneered,she continue on striking Saaya.
'What a child' Saaya thought darkly and boredly.
"You two get out here, I'll deal with this bitch." Saaya stated, before turning her full attention at Shirohime, who's attack becoming forceful and brutal every seconds.
Aichi didn't need those words as he planning on leaving without her saying that as he can't stay any longer at the same room as them without having a full blown panic . He looked around the room , searching for the exit and glad to see the door wasn't being blocked then he turned to Kai , they stared at the moment. A muted agreement -No-there's no such thing before Kai could say a thing Aichi lifted him and supported his weight against him.
"What are you-"
"Shut up!" He said with finality. He grimaced as he stand up as his wound starting to open up and they're hurting like hell but Kai is in worst case as well. For the brunette was in a verged of collapsing. His entire body was protesting and he can feel something crack on his lower leg but he didn't pay attention to it as his sole focus was to get them out in this dangerous room. He slowly walked towards the door. Each step he can feel that his legs are going to give out an his vision starting to get dim. Not good. He must keep going or else they'll be dead.
Strange.
The only thing he can hear was Shirohime's ranting and weapons clashing at one another . Why Kai is quiet? He gaze at him and only to see the brunette already lost his consciousness. He was holding the door knob when Shirohime shouted:
"You won't go anywhere!"
As she shouted that , the ceiling begun to crunbled and fall down at Aichi's direction. he shut his eyes closed preparing for the inevitable. he waited to be squash like a bug but nothing happened. Why?
"I won't let you hurt, Aichi!" Two voice countered.
Those voices belonged to Shin and Daigo!
Aichi instantly opened his eyes and seen Daigo and Shin created a field for their safety, preventing the impact on Aichi and Kai.
"Shin-san! Daigo-san!" Aichi heaved a sigh of relief before fainting but Daigo managed to catch him and Shin caught Kai.
Saaya pushed Shirohime enough to throw her few feet away from her, To spare them a nasty look.
"Took you long enough." Saaya glared at Shin, There's something more to the that glare besides the annoyance there is a hidden message like 'Why did you bring someone with you? Not only someone but The Legendary Cardfighter! You're such an Idiot!'
Shin just laughed at her before to continue on treating the injured boys. In time they will find out why Daigo is here with them,For the mean time he must heal the injured boys so their lives won't be in danger.
Instead of getting annoyed that more reinforcement arrived to aid Aichi, Shirohime get more excited at the thought she could kill more than one and that will be enough to break Aichi.
"Tell me, Legendary Fighter. Why don't you let me hurt Aichi? Is it because he is your friend? Is he that important to you that you're willing to give up your life for him?" Shirohime inquired,interrupting the silence. She knew the reason of his caring nature towards the boy but she won't let it out as she wanted him to say it out loud.
Daigo asked Shin to take care of Aichi before turning his full attention at Shirohime. None of them knew his connection at the Sendou family but he can tell Shirohime knows something that she should not known.
"You want to know why? " His expression is the same as death. The looks could get kill anyone.
"Yes. Was it your friendship or your bond with him as-?"
"The reason I won't let you hurt Aichi is because I'd care for him more than as a friend. That's right, I care and love him not the thing you were thinking-" He interjected upon the looks the others giving him. "Don't get me wrong. He is important to me because he is my sibling. My family. My younger brother. Any person in this world would do anything for his family!"
Saaya and Shin eyes widened at his words, Daigo just told them he was Aichi's brother! None of them expected that except Shirohime.
"Daigo. You're kidding , right?!" Shin choked out, he might misheard it.
"Do I look like to joke at the time like this, Shin?" Daigo glared at him, his eyes piercing with undying anger not directly to him but to the person who had hurt his dear brother, His desire to maim her until she won't be breathing return.
"So you're full name is-"
"Sendou Daigo!" He finished it for her and went on. "And I won't forgive you for hurting my brother! You bitch!"
Shin gaped at Daigo as he can't believe what he is witnessing now! He had never seen him angry like this nor heard him curse. It was truly shocking!
"Heh, I've known that! So give me all you've got! Sendou Daigo! "She taunted.
Daigo gladly obliged on doing that and Saaya also charges in.
Even Aichi's eyes were closed. He was aware of everything. He knew what's happening around him. Right now, Daigo and Saaya trying to teamed up in order to crush Shirohime's skull. But he didn't expect this will be a chaotic return especially Daigo's confession him being his elder brother. Yet, since everyone meet at the same time and place , Then things are according to plan but- it's not yet the right time so he was certain it won't be long before Shirohime to take her leave.
Please , Don't do anything stupid...
I won't .. So Don't worry...
Proven at his thoughts, He heard Shirohime muttered a venomous curses under her breath before bidding farewell and taking her leave.
Aichi let a faint smile spread in his lips.
Heh, Don't do anything stupid. huh? Maybe I should be the one saying that to you...
Saaya heaved a sigh of relief. She was glad that the nuisance was already gone. While Daigo was itching to go after Shirohime but decided it's best to let her go for now as there are other things much important than going after her like taking Aichi and Kai out in this broken down building.
"Shin, I'll leave the rest to you." Saaya break the silence.
"Huh? You can't just leave! You must take responsibility-" Shin protests died down as Saaya sent him one of her nasty glares.
"There's something I need to do, " Saaya paused. thinking and went on. "I'll come back when Aichi is better so I can talk to him properly." As she's done saying that her form dissipated , leaving Shin and Daigo.
She's just making excuses so she won't deal with this mess. Shin thought darkly. sneaky woman.
Shin sighed and looked at Daigo, giving him a smile. "Well, It looks like you have some explaining to do but before that let's get out here."
"Sure."

Sendou residence..
"Emi."
Silence. The only sound can be heard is the distant chirping of cicada, Luckily. The sound of explosion didn't went upstairs. But, Shizuka scowled.
"Emi, Sweetie. Wake up."
No response. Since when did she sleep like a log?
Shizuka sighed. It can't be helped to find Emi like that after of 12 hrs and 47 mins flight travel from Vatican to Japan was truly tiring include the stress. So she came into conclusion she would have to carry Emi downstairs without waking her up as she given up at that thought because the idea was impossible especially when she sleep like a log. She slowly went downstairs,carrying Emi on her arms only to find a frowning Itsuki, who is busy looking at the window. She can tell he wasn't happy as more curses, crushing and explosions can be heard outside but it didn't helped the situation as none of them could ever see what's happening outside.
"Everything okay there?" Shizuka asked, gently putting Emi on the couch . Emi still sleeping even the loud noises coming outside.
Itsuki glanced back to her,surprised. He hadn't heard her coming down. He guess he was too focused at what's happening on outside.
"I dunno" He replied, turning his attention back outside. "I can't see clearly as both of them move in rapid speed."
"So, you could see them?"
"A little," Itsuki admitted and asked "Is your daughter alright?"
"No worries. She's just sleeping" Shizuka kneel beside him to observed the events even she can't see it maybe just a little she will caught a glimpse of it.
Itsuki gaped at her. "Sleeping?! Seriously?! Even I'm an heavy sleeper I'll wake up with these noises! So how come she's still sleeping soundly?!"
"Oh, Itsuki.." Shizuka can't help to chuckled softly at Itsuki's reaction "To be honest, Emi was a light sleeper unlike Aichi who sleeps deeply and needed to be awaken or else he'll ended up sleeping in the entire day. But, I guess you can't blame her after all what she'd been through - searching, travelling and stress . Of course , She would be exhausted."
Itsuki nodded in understanding.
"About your friend there? Will she be okay?"
Itsuki smirked at her. He constantly forgotten Mikuni's abilities on the battlefield but at least he remembered now so there's nothing to worry . "Heh, Don't underestimate that girl because she can destroy an entire country without a sweat!"
But if Mikuni found out he had underestimate her skill, he's dead!

Proven at Itsuki's words , Mikuni was unscathed and not dropping a single sweat while Zenon look beaten out even it wasn't an hour they started fighting each other,
"What did you do?" Zenon asked,panting. he was pissed at the reason his attacks won't work on Mikuni as she was too fast even with his standards as the knights of round. He haven't moved a muscle as he strike using his ablities to manipulate his opponent but his ability doesn't have any effect on Mikuni much. Thus he felt like he was running nonstop. "You're just the oracle so how come you're much stronger?!"
Mikuni scowled at him, He's literally mocking her skills. First, he called her weakling and Now, He's telling she's stronger? What the heck? She can't believe that- this sicko was one of the Knights of round. He assumed that she did something to him during their battle which is partly true but that because he is inside both her field and Itsuki . To those not welcomed inside; their life force and energy will be sapped. Is he dumb not to know that simple logic? She guessed that all members of The Society are fools because all they care was to destroy and kill. A simple minded beast.
Mikuni stamped her feet and raised her voice with annoyance.
"I haven't done anything but haven't I told you not to underestimate me?! Strength and power are not only based on the title nor the ranking as true power is coming from the heart which you morons lack!"
"Heh," Zenon was covering his mouth in an obvious snicker.
Mikuni's face flushed a faint red of annoyance. "What's so funny?"
Zenon removed the cover from his mouth and let out a loud bark of laughter and after a moment he finally calmed down. "My apologies, My dear Oracle. It just that I find your words quite amusing and funny. I didn't mean to laugh in front of you" He said , wiping a small tear from his eyes after laughing so much.
"I don't see anything funny in my words." Mikuni glared at him.
"You've said that your strength coming from emotions but don't you think that is just hindrance and waste of time? If you've just let to forget yourselves and loose-"
Mikuni cut him off. "If we've just forget ourselves and become loose like a mindless monster then will become a stronger person? In your dreams. Asshole." Mikuni spat vehemently. "We're nothing like you so stop comparing me with you. It's disgusting! I would rather die than to become like you!"
"Pity that," Zenon said with a mocking hurtful look then smirked at her. "Then, Just die on the spot!."He lauched forward Mikuni and She was prepared to give him a final blow but both of them stop in their stunt, midtrack as they felt an over flowing power and pressure, immbolizing their movements.
"What's that?" Zenon asked, looking frantically and before he can comprehend what's happening to him. A black hole appeared below him and devoured him. Ending his fight with Mikuni as it fades along with him.
Mikuni was left there standing alone, staring where Zenon been taken away. The presence of power belongs to a certain being, Ao,
But, Why did Ao interrupted the battle and put it into end? Is she telling that her abilities are weak to defeat Zenon? No, There's something into this . Was it Aichi's order or she had her own plan on dealing things.
The artificial world slowly fades away and everything went back to normal. She saw Itsuki smiling at her widely assuming she won the the fight against Zenon which is entirely wrong as nobody won due to the fact it was interrupted by someone. Then she noticed that the smile on Itsuki's face fades off that turn into terrified. Why?
"It seems like I've made it in time," A familiar voice spoke up behind her.
Mikuni turned at the speaker and only to see Saaya standing before her with an impassive look.
"Nee-chan?"
"Mind telling me what happened to your Vacation? Because I need explanations." Saaya demanded drly. She didn't lie when she said on doing something. She didn't missed to see the smile on Aichi's face before she'd leave and most especially she didn't fail to know the presence of Mikuni, Zenon, ... Ao.. and Void. "So?"
Mikuni sighed and smiled at Saaya. She was caught red handed then she had no choice but to spill the beans out. "I'm going to tell you the events that transpired but don't kill me , okay?"
"Depends. If you tell me you'll live and if not then it's game over. So start talking" She pointed her sword at her face and narrowed her eyes. She's angry. Yes. because she can't find Void. neither Ao.. which isn't good.

Ao watched with great satisfaction how things ended and now she can have a little chit-chat with her fellow friend on the corner.
Heh, Don't do anything stupid, huh? Maybe I should be the one saying that to you-What are you planning on your little hostage there?
Nothing..
Really? Now?
A dark and empty smile spread on her face as she turned to Zenon, whom she chained up.
She walked over to him and fear is evident on his face as she recognized who she truly was. "You don't need to be afraid, All you need to do is cooperate~" She leaned over him, her face few inches away from him. her eyes glowed bright red and Zenon force to stared at it after a moment, a blue haired boy sitting on the throne appeared in those glowing eyes. He opened his eyes and Zenon vision engulfed by the eyes of the blue haired boy.
Sendou Aichi... My King...
Then everything went black as nothingness engulfed him.
What do you think Ao did to Zenon? Will Daigo confessed the truth on Aichi? Why did Shirohime suddenly leaves in the middle of fight? Could it be it has something do with Ao? Many questions will be answered at the right time! And so there journey went on...

A/N: Ok! Another 4k chapter! Yey! My goal now is that every chapter will reach 4k words! it's another cliffhanger? Nah! I just lack of idea how this chappy will end but the next chapter will be better than this one! that's right the next one will focus on Aichi and Daigo and possible fluff. Opps, Sorry . It slips XD I would like to apologized to those hoping a full fighting scene or if Aichi isn't been taken away . Everything is already been planned so yeah I can't changed it . It will ruin everything .

Also in the 5th place is Yuri X Aichi = 1 points (Wait- What?! No, Yuri belongs to Koutei!.)
SIDE PAIRING WINNER: Kai x Misaki = 5 points (Damn,I should have seen this coming... I'm shipping Misaki x Miwa as they're cute but might as well give it a try, right? No promises people!)

Aichi:*sigh* See you guys in the next chapter! Oh, Yeah Author-san will be updating slow as she was having a writer's block whenever she reach chapter 20 of her works.
