Another new chapter of SCP! Before this chapter begins, two things.
One: to those of you who are fans of mine, not just the story, but all of my stories or a majority of them, I will not be doing any updates for a week and a half. Now, I know what you're thinking. "It's spring break! How are you not going to be able to update?!" Reason for that would be family vacation. Out of country that is. If it was out of state, not far from my home state, then maybe I can still do some updates, but not out of country. So, sorry guys.
Two: This... will be quite an emotional chapter. So to say, the title itself says everything.
Now then, to the chapter.
Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece or Kingdom Hearts. I do not own Guthrie and Allen. Well, actually I kind of do own him.

Last time:
"Xion! What are you doing?!" he shouted.
Rather than answering, Xion got up on her feet, eyes hidden by her bangs, and, almost lazily, looked over at the outsider Shandian. A wicked smirk formed on her face, one Allen had never see Xion use. Xion shooting herself towards the boy, raising her weapon to strike him. Allen managed to avoid it and raised his lance to block the claw attack and skid back some. As the girl continued to attack, Allen can hear her laughing quite wickedly, almost as though she was enjoying the fight. Allen activated the Breath Dial to widen the distance between them. As he did so, the bangs covering Xion's eyes were blown away, revealing yellow eyes like the Heartless in place of Xion's blue ones. He then sensed something coming from his left side and leapt from his spot. Where he was, bubbles came as fast as bullets and struck, causing slight explosions and caused some dust to form. Landing on a tree branch, he looked at the direction the bubbles came from and saw, to his shock, Steed with darker colors and red eyes.
When Allen landed on the ground, he couldn't find the Keyblade wielder. "What the-?! Where'd she-?" He cut himself off when he remembered one of Xion's attacks in her new form and looked down, noticing how strange his shadow was. The boy managed to use his dial skates to jump out of the way in time for Xion to emerge from the ground, with one of the claws just nicking the Shandian's leg. Just then, something happened.
The smirk that was on Xion's face faded as quickly as it had appeared, as the girl's body shook suddenly. She dropped Desert Nakama and clutched her heart and hissing in pain. This turned into growls, cries, even roars of pain as she began to clutch her head. With one last scream, Xion's arms dropped, her link ended, her two Dream Eaters lying unconscious by her side, and she fell on her front, worrying Allen.
"Xion!"
*XION'S P.O.V*
I slowly opened my eyes, seeing the white ceiling above me. Blinking a few times to adjust to the brightness, I slowly got up from my bed. "Another day... isn't it?" I wondered out loud. Walking out my room, I made my way to the Grey Area, where I'll be getting my mission, as I usually would. As I entered the room, I slowly came face-to-face with the one person I... dislike.
"There are sightings of Heartless in this new world," Saix informed me. "This world is unlike any we've seen. Do not mess this up. Do a recon, eliminate any Heartless you see, and come back."
"Yes, sir..." I answered. A black portal was opened and I walked through.
I can tell he was still unhappy with my mess-up in my mission a few days ago. I was suppose to stop someone who was wearing out coat... but I failed. And not only that, that person had a Keyblade. It was different from mine and Roxas's, but it was definitely a Keyblade. And not only that... he called my Keyblade a 'sham'. I get he was strong, but he didn't have to say that. Oh well, it's not like I can change the past.
I arrived in the new world. For some reason, as soon as I set foot, I was having trouble breathing.
'Must be... this world's environment,' I thought.
After taking some time to catch her breath, Xion started to walk around the woods. A few minutes of walking later, and Xion found herself at a log bridge. Once she arrived there, to her shock, instead of a river down below, Xion saw what looked like clouds below her.
"Clouds?" she questioned. Next thing she knew, a crocodile popped out of the white waters, mouth wide open to gobble me up.
I brought my Keyblade up and fired a Fire magic in its mouth. The flame came in contact and made a small explosion, causing the animal to recoil and made me jump back myself. However, it may be because of the lack of air the environment seemed to have, when I inhaled some of the smoke, I was coughing heavily. This gave the croc time to recover and come at me once more. As I was about to bring my Keyblade up to defend myself, something... someone came and kicked it away.
"Pick on someone your own size!" he shouted. A bazooka was then aimed at the reptilian and fired, generating a powerful stream of flames at his target, scorching it alive.
After he defeated the crocodile, I was going to thank him, until he pointed his weapon at me.
"Who are you?!" he demanded.
As much as I wanted to answer, for some reason I couldn't. My head was feeling light, and it didn't help that I had inhaled some more smoke from the blast earlier. Not only that, but I've been feeling off since this morning.
My soon-to-be assailant seemed to have noticed my symptoms. "Hey, are you okay?" Next we knew, I passed out.
The next time I opened my eyes, I found myself in what seemed like a cave of some sort. I felt something cold and wet on my forehead and something covering my body, almost like a blanket. Removing the object on my head, I steadily got back up on my feet and walked to the entrance, covered and hidden by vines and leaves. Before I would step a foot out, something charged right in and covered my mouth. I tried to force the person off me, until I heard a shush.
"Don't move and clear your head," followed a soft, gentle tone. I kept quiet and ceased my struggling, getting a good look at the man, who was looking back outside. After a few seconds past, we heard what sounded like a pair of feet landing nearby. More light rustles were heard outside, before footsteps followed and faded away.
As soon as the steps were unheard, the guy removed his hand from my mouth. "That was a close one," he sighed. He then faced me and said, "I'm glad to see you up. Sorry about earlier. Lately, there had been strange creatures popping out of nowhere. I thought it was Eneru and his priests' doing, but then you showed up and I thought you were involved in them being here. And then those creatures showed up and tried to attack us, you especially."
"Wait wait, go back for a second," I interrupted. "These 'strange creatures'... Do they have yellow eyes and a heart-like emblem with a red 'x' on them?"
"Yeah, of what I remember. Why do you ask?"
"I have to go!" I instantly shot up on my feet, but then he stopped me.
"Whoa, no you don't! Especially not with the priests looking for you," he said. "If they find you, you'll be dead. It's safer to stay here for the time being."
"You don't understand. I have to go," I tried to reason. "Someone has to stop those Heartless. And if I'm not back from this mission..."
"'Heartless'? Is that what they're called?" The guy then seemed to have realized something. "Oh right! I was so worried about being found by the priests, I forgot to introduce myself. Allen's my name, and dancing's my game! What's your name?"
"Huh?! I-..." I stopped myself when I remembered that I wasn't suppose to be seen by anyone in my missions. If Saix finds out, he'll definitely have my head!
"What's wrong? Can't tell me your name?" Allen asked.
"Um... Something like that," I said. "Look, I appreciate your concern, but I really have to go. Now!" Managing to escape from his hold, I rushed out of the cave and into the woods.
After some time of running, I found myself in an open field, where there were several Heartless causing havoc, consisting of Soldiers and Powerwilds.
"I thought it was Heartless!" I shouted, summoning my Keyblade.
One of the monkey Heartless noticed me and rushed to attack me. I brought my Keyblade up to block its attack and struck back. This caught the attention of the other Heartless as they made their way towards me. I did what I could to fight back, but for some reason, it was getting hard for me to fight. And I don't mean the amount of Heartless there were in the area.
'Why is it... so hard to breathe here?' I wondered. I was so out of it, I didn't notice a Heartless coming to attack me from behind.
"Look out!" came a familiar shout. I looked behind me and saw the man from earlier getting in between me and the Soldier, blocking the kick with his palm, to my shock, before he kicked the Heartless away. "There's no way you're taking this amount on alone. I'm helping out!"
As much as I want to argue with him, I knew he was right. Especially since I, for some weird reason, can't really fight as well as I should be.
With Allen fighting by my side, the fight was better than before. Especially when he can somehow send a powerful force on some of the Heartless from one hand and unleashed flames from his other hand, as well as use those weird shoes of his to avoid some attacks. The way he fought was amazing; in fact, he was basically dancing as he fought. But despite the advantage we had, my weird condition was still getting worse. Eventually, fortunately, we both managed to destroy all the Heartless.
"Whew. That was a close one," Allen sighed. "But I'm glad to see you're holding out."
"Yeah..." was all I could say before I collapsed. This worried the man before he rushed to my side.
"Hey! What's wrong?" he asked.
"I... I don't know... I can't... breathe so well..." I said.
He took out something from his shoe, something that looked like a sea shell, and covered my mouth with the opening. "Breathe with me here. In..." A click was heard and I felt air coming out of the shell, helping me breathe. "Out..." Another click was heard and the shell ceased the air.
This process was repeated a few times before I can finally breathe easy.
"Much better. Thanks for that," I said.
"No problem. It's the least I could do," he said. "You help me, so I help you."
"Except you're helping me more than I am to you."
"Heh. I guess so. But still, we better get out of here, or they will come. Keep this with you, though." He handed me the air-releasing seashell.
Confused as I was about who 'they' are, I followed Allen back in the woods and to the cave.
Once we arrived back, Allen sat on the pile of leaves.
"We should be safe in here. So long as we keep quiet and keep an open mind," he told me.
"What is this place?" I asked.
"My little hideout. Especially in a place like this."
"'A place like this'? Is it dangerous out there? Other than the Heartless that is."
"That's an understatement. This is a sacred area here." I knew what it meant if something was sacred and was shocked that someone like him was here.
"If this is sacred, then why are you here?" I asked, not like I was one to talk.
"Because, while to most people, this is a sacred land, one that only God and his priests can set foot on, this land, Upper Yard, is also my home." At his answer, I was confused. "This land used to belong to the surface, where my people originally came from. Until one day, 400 years ago, tragedy struck and brought this land to the sky. Not only that, but my ancestors were also forced out of their homes."
My confusion grew as he told his tale. "Wait, wait. Surface? Sky? Where am I exactly?"
My questions made Allen confused. "You mean you don't know? I thought you're a Blue Sea Dweller? This is the White-White Sea, in other words the sky, 10,000 feet from the ocean."
My eyes widened in shock at the answer. "WHA-?!" As if predicting that I would scream, Allen took out what looked like a cloth and covered my mouth and nose with it. I struggled once more against his hold.
"Calm down! I'll let go if you calm down! I promise, just stay calm!" he told me in a whispered tone. Easier said than done, since I was in need for some air! Eventually, I kneed him in the stomach, making him release me and granting me the much needed air.
"Are you trying to kill me yourself after giving me some air?!" I asked in a low tone.
Realizing his mistake from my question, Allen quickly apologized. "O-Oh... I guess I overdid it. Sorry about that."
"It's fine. But I really do need to go. I can't stay here for long."
"Look, I know how you feel. It's almost time for me to get home too. But right now, those Priests are looking for us, no doubt. Especially after that fight we had. Just stay here for a bit, wait it out. After that, I'll help you get to... where you need to go, I guess."
"Wait. What happened to 'almost time for me to go too'?" I asked.
"Don't worry. No one in my home would mind if I'm a little late," he told me. "So... tell me about yourself. If I'm not going to get the name of the person who fought with me, can I at least know a thing or two about them?"
I gave him a small smile, knowing that he wouldn't let me go until he got something about me. Besides, from what I'm getting about him, it didn't seem like he was going to tell anyone much about... well, anything. And so, I told him. About the organization, about my mission, my friends, everything about me. At least, that I know of.
"Wow... That's a lot of crazy stuff there," Allen could only say.
"I understand if you don't believe me," I said.
"No, no. I believe you, sort of. The Grand Line is full of crazy, after all. That, and we are living on an island in the sky. Still, I can't believe that boss of your's. What was his name? Sassy?"
I held back a laugh at the name and corrected him. "Saix."
"Yeah, him. So you failed one mission, so what? He shouldn't expect you to complete it with flying colors. It's not right. Besides, it's not like you had much intel on the guy to know how strong he actually was, right?"
When he put it that way, I saw that he was right; Saix didn't tell me how strong the imposter was. And it wasn't like every single one of us in the Organization can do well in the missions. Yet, he attacked me for my failure. It wasn't right at all.
"No, he wasn't," I said.
"Right? We can't be judged for being who we are. That's not how life works at all," Allen said. We then looked outside the entrance and noticed how late it suddenly got. "Whoa! Is it that time already? Guess that means we should go now."
"Yeah. Saix will have my head if I don't get back soon." With that, Allen led me back to the spot where we first met and we went our separate ways.
After that day, Saix, for whatever reasons, kept sending me to that world. Majority of the time, that is. Something told me he hoped the environment will kill me, along with the Heartless. But thanks to Allen, my missions just flew by, and any extra time I had, I spent them with him. Usually it would be at the clock tower with Axel and Roxas in Twilight Town, but because of my little argument with the fellow Keyblade wielder, I didn't have the courage to go there. Watching Allen dance, though, calms me as much as my usual activity would. Not only that, I had been feeling a little bit funny in my chest. It wasn't a bad funny; it felt... nice, I guess. To the point where I finally told him my name after... I think it was the sixth mission in this world.
One night, after a really tough mission against a Heartless, something called a Dual Durandal, I was about to head back, when Allen called out, "Hey. You're not staying for a bit?"
"It's getting pretty late... That Heartless was extremely tough. I should head back before Saix reports my mission as a failure," I reasoned.
"Well, I can't argue with that, but can I at least have five more minutes of your time?"
I found that five minutes would be okay. Besides, I am full of injuries. If Saix questioned why I was back so late, I would just tell them that the Heartless was extremely hard for me to take on alone.
Soon enough, Allen led me to the open field where we both fought the horde of Heartless the first time we met.
"What are we doing out here?" I asked.
"Look up," he told me.
And look I did, and I was amazed at what I was seeing. Lots of stars were above us, glittering the night sky.
"Wow..." I breathed out.
"Never seen a sight like this, have you?" I heard Allen ask.
"No. Not even from... my organization."
"Then it's a good thing I introduced you to this place." I heard thump and saw Allen on his back. At first I was worried, until he said, "Go ahead and lie down. You'll have a better view like this."
I did was he was doing and lied on my back, getting a better, non-straining view of the sky.
"I never knew this place would have such a view," I said to him.
"Yeah..." We both lie there in silence, enjoying the peaceful view. "This... This is the place my parents first met." I looked at him in confusion. From what he told me, his ancestors were from this very land, and they were forced to be away from here. "My mom may be a Shandian like the rest of my tribe, but my dad's a pirate from the Blue Blue Sea." Okay, now that makes sense. Yeah, he told me about the difference between people up in the sky and on the surface below. "My mom told me that she was looking for something a kid lost when they snuck in here. Then she saw dad and the rest of his crew here, dancing. When my dad laid eyes on her, it was basically love at first sight. A Romeo-and-Juliet sort of love."
I raised a brow, but didn't bother to ask. I didn't know what he meant by 'Romeo-and-Juliet'.
"She managed to keep them hidden from Eneru. As luck would have it, my dad had a small crew back when they met, so the chance of the priests finding them was small. And the time the two spent together, my mom claimed they were the magical time of her life. She said there was no better dancer she had ever seen than my dad, who dreams of being the best dancer in the whole world."
"Sounds like a pretty big dream," I said.
"You have no idea. But sadly, my parents knew they shouldn't be together long, so my dad left her."
That one part of the story got me confused as I asked, "Wait, why wouldn't she go with him?"
"Because, after weeks of being together, by the time they decided that my dad and his crew had to leave, my mom was having me." That reason left me shocked and I felt sad for Allen. He seemed to have noticed my expression and assured me, "Don't worry so much about it. Sure life was tough, but I'm okay with it. After all, I have a friend in you, don't I?"
I looked at him in slight surprised, as he looked at me with a smile on his face. Registering that the two of us really were friends, I smiled and nodded in agreement.
Like his parents, however, this bond between us... wasn't meant to last.
It was almost time for me to go. Not on missions, not to meet with Roxas and Axel, but to leave. I had made up my mind. It's... who I am. So, just one last visit, and then... I'll never forget the time I had with any of them.
I had finished making some visits. Regaining myself, wiping away all these tears I had somehow shed, I made my way to... my last stop. I didn't know why, but for some reason, saying good-bye to this one person... was going to be different from the previous good-byes.
As soon as I stepped out of the portal, a familiar voice called. "Xion!" I looked up and saw Allen, sitting on a tree branch above me. Landing on the ground a few feet away from me, he then said, "This is quite a surprise. I didn't know you have another mission today."
I stayed silent, unsure of what to tell him and how to.
As usual, Allen noticed my troubled expression, despite me wearing a hood. "Xion? What's wrong?" As he took a step closer, I took a step back, much to his surprise.
"Allen..." I spoke at last. "I... I don't know how to tell you this... Out of everyone I met, all the farewells I had to say, this has to be the hardest one yet..."
"What are you saying? Xion, put the hood down," Allen told me.
I didn't stop myself and continued what I had to say. What needed to be said. "Goodbye, Allen."
"Good... Goodbye? What do you mean?" The way he was looking at me as I was trying to say my farewell... It's hard to get the words out now. Harder than before.
"This is the last time... I'll be seeing you."
It was silent between us. The words I had spent so much time to think of just left me. I didn't know what else to say to him, how much he meant to me...
"Okay." Wait, what? "I guess... There are times when we all have things we can't come back from. No worries, Xion. I understand that." The way he was telling me these things, I just know he was holding back his real feelings. He lost his mother, he told me he did. And now... he was going to lose his only friend...
"Can I... see you dance?" I asked. "Just one last time. Before I go."
A small smile was formed on his face. "Sure. It's a new dance I'm working on, but as usual, I want you to be the one to see it." Taking out a Tone Dial, he passed it to me and took a few feet away from me. Once he gave me the signal, I pressed down the apex. Music was being played from the shell and Allen danced along with the beat. As always, his dance was always enjoyable. If I were to choose between watching the sunset, the stars in the night sky, and Allen's dance, of course, it'd be his dancing. I wonder why, though.
After he finished his dance, I gave him a standing ovation.
"Oh come on. I'm not that good," Allen said. Humble as always.
"Are you kidding me? That was the best I've ever seen you do!" I said. And I wasn't lying. Of all the dance he had done, that had to be the best one yet. I was glad to have seen it before I left for good. Which reminds me... "I have something for you." I took out a pair of gloves from my pocket, fit for male. I may had a little practice sewing during my free time. Poked myself a few times, but nothing a little cure magic wouldn't heal up.
"Those look like the gloves you have," he noticed.
"I made them myself," I told him. "They might not... feel comfortable."
'Especially when I added a little something else to them,' I mentally added, watching as he put on his gloves.
"The back of the hand feels a bit... bumpy, I guess. But I still like it. Thanks for the gift, Xion." This time, the smile he had was genuine. My chest felt tight watching him smile like that. Usually that tightness felt like good tight, but this time... it hurts.
Allen placed a hand on my cheek. "This may be the last time we'll see each other... But I will never, ever forget you," he promised.
When he said that, it made me want to believe it. Especially with the gloves I made for him. I wanted to deny that promise, tell myself that he will forget like everyone else, and yet I couldn't bring myself to say it. I felt something trail down my cheek, only to be wiped away from Allen's thumb.
"I'll never forget you, too," I also promised, trying so hard to not break down.
Allen pulled me in for a hug, in which I accepted and hugged back, letting more tears fall as I sobbed on his shoulder.
After I was done crying, I opened up the portal to Twilight Town. Before I walked through, I looked at Allen one last time. He was looking at me, with that smile still on his face. Memories of our time together rushed through my head as I slowly went in the portal, never breaking eye-contact with him. Once I was through and the portal closed, next thing I knew, more tears fell and I broke down crying again.
*REALITY*
I woke up from my dream- no, my memory. Looking around my surrounding, I instantly recognized where I was; Allen's hideout. The very same one when we first met and introduced each other.
I slowly sat up and thought about the memory I had just recovered. Or rather, memories. All of Allen and the time we spent together. I know I knew him when I recovered a memory back when he helped me and Guthrie against those weird Heartless, but I didn't know how important he was to me. And now... Now I knew.
"Oh hey, you're awake!" Speak of the devil. I looked up and saw him walking in the hideout. "I thought you wouldn't be up for at least a day or so."
Looking at him, regaining my memories, I felt something more than I had before for him. What it was, I didn't know. I didn't know if it was a good or bad feeling; it certainly wasn't neutral. Either way, I was just... so happy.
I guess I was expressing that feeling a bit too much when I felt my eyes watering. Allen was instantly worried when he saw and rushed to my side. "Hey! Are you okay?!"
"Allen..." I spoke. Before either of us knew it, I pulled him in a hug, taking in his familiar scent and remembering all the good times we had together once more. "I remember..."
*ALLEN'S P.O.V*
I flinched slightly when I heard Xion mutter those words. It didn't help that she was crying on my shoulder. Which can only mean that... she did remember what happened before she passed out. "You... remember?" I asked, just to be sure.
"Yeah..." she nodded.
This made me worry even more. I had hoped Xion had forgotten what she had done. I didn't care if it was her body that had done the damage; I know that wasn't really Xion who finished all those Heartless back there. And if she thinks otherwise, I'll just have to convince her myself.
"I remember everything," she continued. "You were right." Wait, what? "We were friends. Best friends. I can't believe I forgot about you, of all people."
Upon realizing that she actually remembered our time together before her amnesia, I relaxed. "Well, yeah. But then again, it's not like you chose to be amnesiac," I told her, getting a small laugh from the girl.
"You always know how to cheer me up, don't you?"
"I try." We both let out light, friendly laughs at my response. There was no doubt about it now; the Xion I knew is back. And now, as her friend, I will make sure she and everyone else do not know even a word about the battle earlier.
