Infirmary
A clearer picture of his surroundings started to form, with sounds turning from gibberish to the rhythmical beat of machinery. He turned to the right to bring a familiar shape into focus, slowly resolving itself into the most comforting image he had seen in a while.
A young brunette slept peacefully by his side, right hand interlaced with his. His movements caused her to stir and awaken from her slumber. Realizing her boyfriend was finally lucid, she smiled and reached to give him a kiss. What started as a simple kiss turned into a full-blown make-out session as the two lovers finally let loose their longing for one another.
Kitty: "I thought I lost you. I'm so glad I got you back."
Maddox: "Only because of you. If you didn't come for me, I wouldn't be here."
Kitty: "I'm expecting a mega-date when you're out of this bed Maddox. But first, here, eat."
Kitty shoved a bread bun into his mouth before he could say anything, so he simply obeyed and chewed a piece of it. It was his girlfriend feeding him, what was there to complain about?
There would be constant teasing as the world passed by the ward, but that didn't stop them. Eyes never leaving each other, Kitty would continue to feed him. Hands would find their way to caress cheeks, arms and run through one another's hair.
Nothing mattered but their love for one another, and the need to make up for the time lost in Maddox's coma to spend time with each other.
Finally another update. Sorry guys but life happens. Short update and I hope you enjoy it. I'll update whenever I can. I did have a writer's block for Maddox's wake-up scene and this is the best I could do. Likely I will fast forward to after he recovers and resumes his duties. More twists and turns for the X-men coming soon, so stay tuned.
