Chapter 21 Breaking the Illusion

A/N: I apologize for not update in so many years as I didn't know what to do with this chapter, but I finally figure it out.

The children approach a rainbow house. The house was lavender with yellow stars and light blue stars on them, and it had a rainbow roof.

"Even though this could be an illusion, we still have to find our way through it," Takuya told them.

"Welcome to the Rainbow Town, the town of your dreams," a Lalamon said approaching the children.

The children blink at the greeting and suddenly Hiroaki ran up to the Digimon and gripped her by her sprout.

"Listen here, do you work for those bad Digimon? If so, we want hesitate to take you down," Hiroaki told her.

"What do you mean?" Lalamon asked.
"Don't play dumb this whole thing is an illusion created by them," Hiroaki said.

"It looks like you humans need to be taught a lesson," Lalamon said as she preceded to pull a rope behind her back and swinging it at the children.

They all yelp as they tried to get free.

"I knew it!" Hiroaki shouted.

"Let us go!" the children yelled in unison.

Lalamon whistled from its mouth and outcame Agumon, Gabumon, Tentomon, and Gomamon from the house.

"Boys, help me carry these humans inside so I can teach them a lesson," Lalamon said.

"We will be glad too," all of them responded as they came to Lalamon's aid.

The Children Digmon carried the human children to the house.

"Hm, these Digimon seem very familiar," Takuya thought.

"This is your execution site," Lalamon smirked.

"Are you kidding me, in a place like this," Junpei asked as he looked at his surroundings.

"Does the look of the place matters? Would you rather prefer to go to a spooky grave site instead?" Lalamon asked sarcastically.

"Why do you want to execute us? What did we ever do to you?" Junpei asked.

"You stupid fat human, you and your friends are obstacles of our Master and Mistress plans. We are going to take the opportunity to kill you all," Lalamon said.

"Could it be that they are the Digimon we were just fighting, but why did they de-digivolve to their child forms? Is this part of the illusion?" Takuya thought.

"Great, how are we going to get out of this one? Takuya can you think of something before they kill us?" Junpei asked.

"I trying, but I can't break free," Takuya respond in frustration.

"Of course you can't. These are no ordinary ropes. It was made from the Digimon data of those who opposed us," Lalamon giggled and she turned to Agumon, Gabumon, Tentomon, and Gomamon and asked. "Are you guys ready?"

"Lalamon, what if we accidently break the rope when we try to kill them and some of them escape as a result of it?" Agumon asked.

"I didn't think of that, but you have a point about that," Lalamon said.

"How about instead killing them with our powers, how about we put them in a pot and try to cook them," Gomamon suggested.

"Eating them is not a bad idea, but how are we going to fit ten of them in a pot or pan?" Lalamon said.

"I think there are some pots and pans that are big enough to hold ten human children in the closet over there," Tentomon said as he pointed to the closet in front of him.

"Are they talking about eating us? What a disgusting bunch of creatures?" Tomoko said.

"Well humans eat other living beings too, so it really isn't that much difference, but they seem to be eating us out of vengeance," Yutaka said.

"You are not bothering by the fact we are going to be eating man? Don't you care about your life?" Junpei asked.

"I didn't say that. I was just making a point, but let's discontinue this subject," Yutaka said.

"Guys, I think those five Digimon are the ones we fought earlier," Takuya said.

"What?!" everyone asked in unison.

"But why would they covert to their child forms we they technically have the advantage over us?" Izumi said.

"Yes, but there is something off. Does our D-scanners work here as they didn't bother to confiscate them?" Takuya wondered.

"Maybe they forgot to do it," Tomoki said.

"Don't give them any ideas Tomoki," Junpei said.

"So should we boil, fry, bake, or grill them?" Gabumon asked.

"If we grill them we have to decide whether use the indoor or outdoor grill," Lalamon said.

"Personally, I prefer them grill," Tentomon said.

"What about you Gomamon?" Lalamon asked.

"It is fine by me, but we should add some barbecue sauce to go with them. Maybe we should do it outdoors, as the humans might taste better on an outdoor grill," Gomamon said.

"What?!" Junpei asked.

"I am going to go find the biggest outdoor grill I can," Tentomon said as he flew off and went to a closet in the hallway. "Now where could that thing be," he thought looking through the closet and throwing household appliances out.

Gomamon got hit in the face by one of the pots that was thrown. "Hey watch what you are doing Tentomon?"

"Sorry about that," Tentomon said.

The children struggle with the rope. "It's not working," Izumi said.

"We have to keep trying," Takuya told her, but gave up after so many attempts.

"I wish the spirit of the legendary warriors could help us," Tomoki said and their D-scanner beeped and there came a flash of light from them.

They appeared back at Demon's Castle.

"We are back," Ardhamon said.

"How did you break my illusion?" Lotusmon asked them.

"Thank you Tomoki. You are a lifesaver," RhinoKabuterimon said.

"What?" Daipenmon asked RhinoKabuterimon with bafflement.

"We will talk about it later after we finish this battle," RhinoKabuterimon said.

"Alright let's defeat them," Ardhamon exclaimed. "Solar Wind Destroyer!"

"Frozen Hunter!" Beowulfmon exclaimed.
"Ultra Turbulence!" JetSilphymon exclaimed.

"Ultra Tidal Wave!" Sirenmon exclaimed.

"Black Theorem!" Reichmon exclaimed.
"Thunder Laser!" RhinoKabuterimon exclaimed.

"Tornado Twister!" Titanmon yelled.

"Arbormon slide evolution, Petaldramon! Leaf Cyclone!" Petaldramon exclaimed.

WarGreymon, WereGarurumon, Lotusmon, and HerakleKabuterimon, and Vikemon screamed in pain as a chip that was planted on the back of their necks disappeared.

WarGreymon, WereGarurumon, and Lotusmon, and HerakleKabuterimon looked at each other baffled.

"What's going on here?" WarGreymon asked with puzzlement. They looked around and eventually turned to where the Legendary Warrior were.

"It is the Legendary Warriors," Lotusmon said as the five of them bowed.

"What is this," Titanmon asked. "They were fighting us and now they are bowing. Is this some kind of trick?"
"Why would we trick you? We are servants of Lady Ophanimon and Lord Seraphimon. We would never commit deceitful acts against the Legendary Warriors." WereGarurumon assured them.

"Wait did you say Ophanimon and Seraphimon and not Lilithmon and Demon?" JetSilphymon asked.

"What?" the five of them asked.

"What are you saying?" Lotusmon asked shaking in fear.

"Ophanimon and Seraphimon were corrupted by Grandracmon and turned into Lilithmon and Demon. The spirits of fire, light, wind, ice, and thunder were also corrupted, but were eventually returned to normal," JetSilphymon explained.

"Wait a second, why did you refer to yourself in third person?" HerakleKabuterimon asked.

"The spirits are telling us to trust them," Takuya said and then turned around to the others and asked "Can you guys feel it?"

They nodded and devolved.

"Huh, you are the chosen children," Vikemon realized.
