The world seemed to fade away into nothingness as Naruto stared at the corpse of his tenant. Her face was still twisted into the pain filled grimace that literally sent tremors through his heart.
"No .. Amai ... No." Naruto quickly approached the girl before falling to his knees in front of her. His hand began to shake as he slowly reached out to the girl. His fingers gently brushed up against dirt covered hair. He could feel a stinging sensation in his eyes as tears as he stared at the corpse of Amai.
The ANBU quickly find found the kneeling boy and approached him.
"Naruto-San. We need to take in Sandaime-Sama's corpse in preparation for his funeral. Please step away from the corpse." Naruto gave the ANBU no indication that he heard the men. He cradled the dead girl's head in his arms and stared down at her face. The kunai was still buried deep inside of her chest and the blood had since dried up into a brown stain that covered her clothes.
"..Amai.." Naruto allowed his fingers to gloss across the girl's now pale face. He could see tiny trails of blood slowly playing across her lips, remnants of her final moments of death. For a brief second Amai's face suddenly turned a shade darker and her hair suddenly turned a shade of purple and was put up in a pineapple bun. A fresh volley of tears sprung up in his eyes as Amai regained her pale skin and long, dirtied hair. Naruto's eyes slowly fluttered down to the kunai buried deep within her chest and reached down before grabbing Hiruzen's wrist. He then began gently try to take the kunai out of the girl's chest.
Naruto was stopped when he felt one the ANBU grab his wrist. "Naruto-San. This is your last warning, step away from Hokage-Sama's body and leave the premises. We will deal with the girl's body accordingly." Those were the wrong words to say to the over emotional boy at the moment. Naruto twisted his arm out of the ANBU's grip before slamming his fist into the man's chest. The ANBU slid back several yards away from Naruto while clutching his now throbbing chest.
"NO! I-I can bring them back! Watch!" Naruto quickly stood to his feet before yanking out the kunai from Amai's chest. A fresh spout of blood sprang from her chest but Naruto ignored it in preparation for his technique.
"Lightning Release: Returned of the Damned!" Naruto screamed as lightning sprung from his finger tips as slammed into Amai and Hiruzen's body. He watched with a twisted grin on his face and tears in his eyes as he watched the two corpses slowly get to their feet. The ANBU watched in mild interest but disgust as the dead bodies stood straight.
"See! See! They're fine! Amai is fine. The old man is fine! Everything is fine." Naruto exclaimed wildly. The ANBU's look of disgust soon turned into pity as they watched the boy run up and embrace the two. They could see tears streaming down his face as he embraced the two dead corpses.
"Amai! I-I almost f-forgot to tell you! I love you! I love you." Naruto proclaimed as he stared into the girl's lifeless eyes. He held the girl at arm's length and flashed his twisted grin at her. She stared back stifly, the pained expression on her face giving her a very creepy air but Naruto ignored it.
"Naruto-San ... They're dead." The ANBU said. Naruto smile morphed into a frown as he twisted his head towards the ANBU.
"What the hell are you talking about? They're right here. Old man your ANBU are going crazy." Naruto began to chuckle as the ANBU stood in front of him sadly. His chuckles slowly died out as he turned towards the corpse of Hiruzen.
"Old man? Why aren't you talking? .. Old man?" Naruto stared confused at the dead body. He slowly walked up to the body, his finger tips still blazing with chakra as he controlled (unknowingly or knowingly, the ANBU did not know) the body.
"Tora ... Take him down gently. The boy has been through a lot." Eagle whispered to his team mate. Tora nodded before quietly sneaking up on the boy. She raised her hand before chopping Naruto in the back of his neck. The boy's eyes shot open for a split second before he fell to the floor unconscious.
Tora sighed as she caught the boy's body and slowly laid him on to the floor. She turned to her captain and signaled that her job was done. She slowly began to walk to Eagle with a sad look upon her face, hidden by her mask.
Her look of sadness was replaced by shock when her back suddenly felt like it was on fire. She felt her armor heat up and in some areas burn all together as a cloud of red chakra filled her vision. The last thing she heard was her captain shouting her name.
Naruto let out a happy sigh as he ran his fingers through Anko's spiky purple hair as she laid her head in his lap. He looked to his left and saw Amai leaning her head on his shoulder. His arm was wrapped around her delicate torso as she laid sleep on him.
"I never want to lose you two." Naruto said softly as not the wake up the two sleeping girl. He looked up to the sky and watched as the clouds lazily drifted through the air.
Naruto was taken by surprise when suddenly the sky turned dark around him. He looked down and saw Amai and Anko fading in his arms. He started to grasp at their bodies but his fingers just sunk through them as if they were ghost. Tears started to pool into his eyes as he watched them fade away right before his eyes.
Naruto's head snapped up as a booming laughter filled the dark area he was in. He slowly turned his head and stared into eyes of an amused Kyuubi.
"Has it finally hit you brat? How weak you are? This is the second time one of your mates have died. And once again you were powerless, no completely useless to do anything." Kurama laughed out. Naruto wanted to scream out and deny the Kyuubi but he couldn't .. he knew the beast was right. He was useless.
"I can give you power boy. I can make you strong beyond belief. Just tear of the seal. You wont ever have to watch your mate die again. No one will ever be able to stand to you. Release me completely." Kyuubi said trying to seduce Naruto into tearing off the seal. The blonde haired boy sat with his head down in the sewer. He slowly climbed to his feet before walking up to the cage. Kurama did not even bother hiding his grin as he knew his prisoners were in no state of mind to oppose him.
Naruto slowly reached his arm out towards the cage and let his fingers touch the cool metal. He dragged his appendage down until he could feel the rough texture of the seal paper. His fingers curled around the edges of the paper before he began to pull slightly.
A tan hand wrapped firmly around Naruto's wrist, causing him to stop and look at the offender. Naruto's eyes trailed up the offender's hand, noticing his wrist and arm was covered in a white long sleeve cloak that was covered in a flame pattern.
"I don't think we should be doing that." The owner of the appendage said. Naruto's eyes traveled to the man's face and his eyes widened when he recongized the face. Standing there in front of him was his father, Minato Namikaze.
"Im just as shocked as you. I never expected to see you this early. But after seeing your memories .. I can see why I was called here." Minato explained to a shocked Naruto. Kurama raged in the background by slamming its tail and claws against the cage.
"This guy seems to be a little agitated, lets go somewhere quiet Ne?" Minato said with an eye smile that look eerily reminiscent of Kakashi's. The room suddenly shifted to white with the only evidence of there previous destination existing was an echoing roar of the Kyuubi.
"Thats much be-" Minato was suddenly sent flying through the white abyss at high speeds. At his previous destination was Naruto standing with his arm stretched out, his hand clenched in a fist, covered in electricity.
Minato continued to fly away from Naruto until he was completely out of sight. Naruto slowly lowered his arm down to his side and waited for the man to reappear.
Only after several seconds, Naruto saw a tiny small dot traveling low towards him. A weird looking kunai landed right at his feet and a second later, Minato was standing in front of him, holding his stomach in pain but still smiling nerveless.
"I guess I deserved that." Minato said with a hint of pain in his voice. Naruto smirked at the man's plight. Minato's smiled increased even more when he saw the smile adorned upon his son's face.
"You look so much like your mother and me. From your memories, I see you got your mom's temper and slight sadistic streak." Minato said with a small smile. His grin slowly dropped before he suddenly threw himself on his knees before Naruto. Naruto watched in shock as his father,a man considered to be one of the strongest shinobi in the world, began to beg and grovel in front him.
"Please forgive me Naruto ... I didnt know. I didnt want to put you through all that torture. I never knew the villagers would treat you so harshly. I would of sooner damned another child to that torture than my own if I knew it would be that bad. Please forgive me." Minato said with his head bowed. His form was shivering as he wept tears of sadness and guilt.
Minato truly thought that his status as the Yondaime Hokage would protect his son. He had faith in his village that they would treat the new addition to the world with kindness. But when he viewed the memories of his son, he wanted to kill himself for his own ignorance.
Naruto looked down at his father in honest shock. He had never expected the first meeting of his father to be like this. To be honest, he didnt expect to meet the man at all. But to see the man, live and in the flesh, begging for his forgiveness was honestly shocking.
"Minato." Minato froze when he heard his name spoken by his son. His thoughts immediately went to the worst by the emotionless tone his son spoke his name with. "My whole entire life has been torture. The glares, the beatings, the discrimination, the hate .. Every single last moment. You choose the village over your own son. You expected them to treat me normally, maybe even like a hero ... It is for that reason that I could never hate you. You had misplaced faith in your village that they would treat your son the right way. You never meant to condemn me to this life. I forgive you." Naruto said. Minato immediately sprang up and wrapped Naruto in a massive hug while sobbing tears of joys. Naruto slowly wrapped his arms around his father and leaned into the hug.
Minato was so overtaken by happiness that he didn't notice Naruto's shaking. It was only after a full minute of embracing that he noticed that his son was shaking. He was caught by surprise when the room around them started to flicker between complete darkness, to white back to Kurama's cage.
"They're both dead ... both of them." Naruto mumbled over and over again. Minato almost wanted to smack himself at forgetting the reason why his son was here in the first place. The mental and emotional strain Naruto bore when Anko died was already devastating to a normal person. It was only due to Amai that Naruto was able to somewhat move on. Now that she was dead, by the hands of someone who he also loved and respected, he had snapped. The natural mental barrier that Naruto had put up to hold back Kyuubi had been broken and shattered.
"They're aLL DEAD." The second half of Naruto's sentence turned demonic as the two warped back in front of Kyuubi's seal. His body was covered in a thin layer of the kyuubi's chakra. Minato turned to the beast and noticed the seal holding it back was pulsing an eerie red. Kurama's visage was twisted into a wide grin.
"Consider this revenge Minato. I was trapped inside your accursed wife for years, pinned by my tails and arms. Now your son will be my vessel of destruction." Kurama said before releasing a pulse of his chakra. Minato's eyes widened when he heard an inhuman roar from behind him.
Things had quickly gone to shit for Konoha since Naruto discovered the dead bodies of Amai and Hiruzen. When the Tora masked ANBU had knocked out Naruto, his body instantly lit up in the signature chakra of the Kyuubi. Tora was too close to the boy and was unable to avoid the corrosive chakra of the Kyuubi. The chakra latched on to her and quickly ate through her armor, clothes and eventually flesh and bone.
The Kyuubified Naruto quickly attacked the ANBU squad present on the roof top. The team was hardpressed to dodge the savage and relentless attacks thrown by the boy while also trying to make sure none of the attacks hit the panicking crowd.
The invasion forces had already been rounded up and incapacitated so all of Konoha's forces were focused on the 7 tailed demon rampaging on the roof of the chunnin exam arena. The ANBU were trying their best to contain they boy to just the rooftop but that plan was quickly falling apart. The roof had massive holes in it that were quickly growing larger and larger. The ANBU were tired and exhausted from dodging and repelling the attacks thrown by the demonic boy. Jiraiya had landed on the roof several minutes ago and had been carefully observing the boy. He could not get close enough to place a seal on the boy, not without leaving the altercation with permanent damage.
"Eagle! We need to take care of this NOW. Attempt to hold him back with your squad." Jiraiya yelled. The eagle masked ANBU nodded before sending a signal to his remaining squad. They quickly jumped to all sides of Naruto before beginning to pelt the boy with a wave of kunai and shuriken. The boy let out a massive roar that shook the very roof he stood on as the weapons dug into his skin but were instantly evaporated by demonic chakra.
"Tenzo! Now!" Eagle said while throwing an array of weaponry. One of the ANBU nodded before dropping his hands into a single hand sign. His chakra exploded around him as the roof itself began to shake violently.
"Wood Release: Ancient Tree Burial!" The ANBU yelled as tree roots busted through the roof. The roots quickly wrapped around kyuubified Naruto's limb and held him in place. He began to screech and roar as the roots quickly expanded, covering his whole entire body. Only after several seconds was Naruto completely covered in the branches of the tree.
"Burial complete Eagle-San." Tenzo said. The eagle masked ANBU nodded before motioning towards Jiraiya. The sannin slowly approached the growling Naruto with his finger tips blazing in blue chakra. Tenzo allowed the branches around Naruto's stomach to dissipate, revealing a pulsing red seal.
Jiraiya slammed his finger tips onto Naruto's stomach causing the boy to screech loudly. Jiraiya quickly retracted his hand and waited in anticipation for the the Kyuubi's chakra to retract back into the seal. He was shocked that after several seconds, the demonic chakra did not disappear. If anything it started to intensify.
"Jiraiya-Sama! I cannot hold it for much longer. His chakra is becoming more volatile." Tenzo yelled at that man. Jiraiya didn't have time to react when the wooden restrictions holding Naruto back exploded into a thousand splinters. The sannin was thrown back as the Kyuubi's chakra exploded around Naruto.
"Evacuate the arena, NOW!" Jiraiya screamed as tendrils of the demonic chakra began to rip up pieces of the roof. The ANBU dashed off without a question to help evacuate the remaining citizens and low level ninja.
Jiraiya turned back to Naruto and settled his hands into an unknown hand sign. His chakra exploded around him in an blazing orange glow. Naruto roared at the sudden increase of chakra in the air before launching himself towards Jiraiya.
Jiraiya grinned tensing his legs and launching himself towards his god-son. The two met in the middle with an explosive crash.
Minato watched in horror as Naruto dropped to his knees and began to scream as the Kyuubi's chakra entered into his body. His skin began to peel at an alarming rate as Kurama's chakra overtook his skin.
"All you can do is watch as your son becomes my vessel. How does it feel human? To have no control, to only be able to watch as your own kin are used as vessels of destruction and hate? If you don't know, you'll soon find out." Kurama said as he increased the chakra flow he was sending towards Naruto.
Minato attempted to jump in front of the pulse of chakra but found it only blasted him back from the intensity. He quickly wanted to slap himself for forgetting that he was only just a projection made from the original's chakra. He could do nothing to physically stop the bombardment of demonic chakra that was flowing into his son. His emotional state was so high that small cracks had appeared in the seal and now the Kyuubi was forcefully pushing his chakra through the cracks, making them expand more and more.
"The time gets closer and closer Minato. Watch as your own son is turned against you!" Kurama yelled as the paper holding his cage together started to rip and tear at the edges. Minato attempted to run towards Naruto and re-fix the seal but he couldn't get close enough.
Minato flinched when he felt his form flicker. His time was quickly running out and he had still not found a solution. Not even his tactical genius that allowed him to win an entire war could help at the moment.
Minato watched as the seal slowly degraded until it was a single strip of paper. The demonic chakra slowly ate away at the edges of the last pieces of the seal. Naruto's pained screams were a norm at this point as his body was surrounded in a 8 tailed cloak.
Minato's eyes closed in resignation when he saw the last bits of the seal eat away and the gates slowly swing open. Kurama's booming laugh filled the seal as a bright light enveloped them all. A single tear fell from his eyes as the demonic chakra spread throughout in a powerful blast.
Jiraiya laid downed and defeated as an eight tailed cloaked Naruto stood above him. His body was littered with deep gashes and burns from his battle with the beast. Tens of dead ANBU laid strewn around the arena, victims from Naruto's slaughter.
Naruto opened his mouth and a ball of compressed chakra appeared in front of his maw. Jiraiya looked at the instrument of his death and sighed, knowing he had failed the village once more.
"Im sorry Sensei ... Im sorry Minato and Kushina ... Im sorry Naruto." Jiraiya said before closing his eyes. The last thing he heard was a loud roar before everything went dark.
Read my opening comment. I know its been awhile but I had to think long and hard for this chapter. As you can tell, things went to shit FAST. Amai is dead, Minato is back(ish), Kurama is basically free, Jiraiya is about to die and Naruto is in an eight tailed cloak. There's not much I can say BUT that I have plans for my little blonde haired friend~ (If he survives this of course). But I guess y'all just have to wait till the next chapter~ (Im so evil)
