21. Augustus Frank Longbottom

Augustus "Auggie" Frank Longbottom

Birthday: April 3, 2006

Parents: Neville and Hannah (Abbott) Longbottom

Appearance: medium height, around 5'9" ish, round face, dark brown eyes, brown hair

House: Hufflepuff

Patronus: siberian husky

1) Neville wanted a son and daughter, to name for each of his parents. The winter before Auggie was born, Augusta Longbottom passed away, and Hannah suggested naming their son for her as well.

2) Growing up as the oldest child of a professor and the owner of a pub/inn, Auggie's used to working over summers, managing a crowd, and keeping a quick and watchful eye on his surroundings.

3) Auggie ends up finding a surprising benefit of the above-mentioned habit, as he decides to try out for the Hufflepuff Quidditch team and makes it as keeper during his last 3 years of school.

4) He also makes prefect in his 5th year, and is chosen to partner Rose Weasley as Head Boy in his 7th year.

5) Auggie likes to run. He'll go for a jog around the Hogwarts grounds, or he'll go out to a park in Muggle London and run. It helps him clear his mind, and helps him feel like he's keeping up with his life when he's in a rough patch.

6) Auggie has discovered that he rather liked to study in kitchens at Hogwarts, with the quiet bustle of the house-elves working in the background. It reminds him of the buzzing atmosphere of the Leaky.

7) Auggie LOVES chocolate. LOVES it. A lot. Probably as much as Teddy Lupin does.

8) He's a neat freak. His bed in the dormitory is always very well put-together and organized.

9) He's a naturally nurturing person. Sure he likes to talk big and joke and run around like any guy, but he can always stop to talk to or help someone in need; you can always trust Auggie for an honest, kind, and thorough gesture or opinion. He just has an aura of calm and patience to him.

10) Auggie's first job post-Hogwarts is as a records clerk at St. Mungo's. He was offered by a friend he'd made visiting the hospital over the years, and only meant for it to be temporary job, but he ended up making a career in hospital administration, moving up as one of the chief Inter-staff Liaisons at St. Mungo's.
