Lucy:

I gave Jason a bath in the morning and got him dressed for the day. Tonight Dean would fight one more time here in Chicago then we would head back home tomorrow. In the meantime, Dean had gone to the store to buy some more shirts. The morning was going great so far. Hopefully Dean was in a better mood today than he was yesterday. And maybe the day would go smooth.

Or so I thought.

My cell phone was ringing as I was putting Jason's shoes on. I picked it up and answered it.

"Hello?"

"You have an incoming call from Fredrick Clark Jail. Do you accept the charges?" the voice on the other end said.

"Yes…" I choked out.

Soon I heard Dean's voice on the other end.

"I need you to come bail me out of jail. Just bring $200 with you. I'll explain everything later. The car is at a Walmart. Not too far from the hotel. Just catch a cab there. It's the Walmart we first stopped at on our way here."

"I'm on my way," I said.

I hung up my phone and shoved it in my back pocket. I picked Jason up and left the room. I could not believe this was happening. Dammit Dean! Now I had to pick up the car AND him!

After I bailed him out of jail, I didn't have much to say to Dean. He already knew I was pissed so all he said was "Thank you" and left it at that. I did respond with a "Your welcome" but that was it. I drove us back to the hotel. Even when we got back into the room, I did not speak to Dean for the next few hours. It wasn't that I had nothing to say to him exactly. It's just that I needed some time to think. Think about what I was going to say and how I was going to say it. I did not want Dean losing his temper and putting a hole in the wall. Like HELL was I gonna pay for damages!

It was about two and half hours until the fight started. The arena was only ten minutes away but Dean was getting ready in the bedroom. I fed Jason and made sure he was preoccupied with cartoons so that I could talk to his father. Dean was putting his boots on when he saw me walk through the door.

"I know you want to talk about why I was in jail. Please, let's not get into a big argument over this."

"We're not. Just tell me what happened and how you landed yourself in jail."

"I got into a fight with this idiot in front of Walmart. Idiot had purposely bumped into me as I was about to get into the car. I almost broke his nose but police were right there to stop the fight."

"What the actual fuck, Dean."

"What?"

"The ONLY fighting you should be doing is in the boxing ring. Look, I think you keep forgetting that you have a family. You have a son."

Dean grabbed his duffel bag and walked to the drawer. He opened it and started throwing some clothes into it.

"You keep saying that as if I am not aware that I'm married and I have a child."

"You act like we don't exist."

Dean signed and zipped up his duffel bag.

"I am well aware that you two exist. I am aware that I have a ring on my left finger. I am aware that I have a two year old that acts just like his papa. Alright?"

"Stop getting into fights."

"I'm gonna stand up for myself whether you like it or not."

I sighed and walked out of the room.

"I can't fucking believe this," I muttered to myself. I went to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of apple juice.

"What can't you believe?" Dean said as he exited the room. I did not expect him to have heard what I said.

"Nothing," I said.

Dean sat his duffel bag on the couch and went to get Jason.

"Papa!" Jason said.

"It's good to see you too!" Dean said.

I watched as Dean picked up Jason and carried him into the living room. Picking up his duffel bag, Dean looked at me. I had been sitting at the desk near the door staring blankly at the t.v.

"Let's go," he said.

"Are you gonna beat someone up on the way down?" I asked.

"Hush," Dean said.

"Heesh," Jason said.

"No. Don't tell Mommy that," Dean said.

"He learns from the best," I said.

Dean gritted his teeth.

"Let's go," he repeated.

"I should let you go alone," I said as I grabbed my purse.

Even though I loved my husband, I was more than glad to see him disappear down the hallway to the locker room at the arena. There wasn't that many people there since the fight wasn't going to start until another hour or so. I took my seat in the front row as usual but my mind wasn't on the match that was going to happen later that night. My mind was racing a million miles a minute. For some reason I couldn't help but wonder: were me and Dean supposed to be together? Yes, we were married. But part of me felt that we were probably only supposed to be lovers and that's it. Maybe friends with benefits? I loved the fact that we created a gorgeous son together. I loved Jason with all of my heart. And I also loved his father with all of my heart as well. I didn't expect for Dean to knock me up but it happened. Not that I'm blaming him. We both had sex and we ended up with a child. Then we got married. It could've been worse. He could've left me but he didn't. He was there for me when Thea passed and promised to take care of me. Despite our arguments and fallouts, Dean made me feel wanted. It was as if he too was lonely before he met me. Then again he was probably happy before he married me. Maybe I was a burden on him. Gosh, I needed to stop thinking that way. The ringing from my phone snapped me out of my thoughts. I pulled my phone out of my purse and saw that Dean was calling me. I answered the phone.

"Hello?"

"You still mad at me?"

I sighed. I was trying not to cry even though I wanted to.

"No."

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for being a jerk and an asshole. You know this isn't me."

"No need to apologize. I was just sitting here…thinking to myself."

"About?"

"I was thinking…I dunno I had a thought that maybe I'm a burden to you. That I have you trapped. Maybe you didn't want to get married to me. I don't know."

"Lucille…"

"Yeah?"

"Don't ever fucking say that again. I mean that. I fell in love with you. We have a son together that loves us. I love you. I love our son. Don't ever think you are a burden."

"But we argue so much!"

I wiped tears that were falling down my face.

"I know we need to stop arguing. But I'm just tense right now. Once we get back home, everything will be fine. Trust me. Do you trust me?"

"I do."

"Do you mean or are you just saying that? I need you to mean it."

"I mean it."

"And I'll stop getting into fights with people as well. It is better to walk away. BUT if someone does fuck with me, I'm whoopin' their asses."

I let out a laugh.

"Of course you will."

"I will! Now, dry those tears up because I hate seeing you cry. And give Jason a kiss for me. I'll be out there soon."

"Alright. I love you very much, Dean Ambrose."

"I love you more, Lucille Ambrose."

I was expecting to come home and lie down in my bed for a while. In peace. I have nothing against my family visiting, but now wasn't the time. When we heard our doorbell ring, me and Dean looked at each other.

"I'll get it," Dean muttered. He slipped out of bed and left the room.

I listened closely to the conversation Dean was having. It was just Joanna. She wanted to come over to spend some time with us. Cici had went somewhere with a friend earlier that day.

Dean came back to the room.

"Joanna just wants to crash here for a few hours since Cici is gone. She wants to cook dinner for us later," he said.

"That's fine. Now, let's go back to sleep, sleepy head," I said. "Is Jason asleep?"

"Yup," Dean said.

Joanna came into our room to say hi to me.

"Hi!" she said. She gave me a big hug and a kiss. "We chat after our nap! Sweet dreams!"

Once she left, I looked over at Dean who was looking at me with sleepy blue eyes.

"I am so damn tired. Let's go to sleep now," he said.

"I know. Is Jason asleep?"

"Yup."

"Good. Off to sleep we go."

Of course when someone is asleep, they are not aware of how long they've been asleep. They are not aware of what is going on around them. Hell, they're not even aware if someone is watching them sleep.

It had been four in the afternoon when me, Dean, and Joanna took our nap. None of us knew the terrible ordeal we were going to wake up to.

I was shaken out of my sleep by Joanna. She was hysterical and she was calling me name and Dean's loudly.

"Lucille! Dean! WAKE UP!"

"WHAT!?" I said half asleep.

"It's Jason! He got into the chemicals in the kitchen!"

"WHAT!?" I repeated again. This time I was wide awake. I shook Dean. "Dean! Baby, wake up!"

"Hmm?" he said. He must not have heard what Joanna just said.

"It's Jason! WAKE UP!"

Dean got up and looked at me. His eyes were partially closed still. He must've been really tired from all the boxing he did but he needed to wake up!

"DEAN! JASON GOT INTO SOMETHING IN THE KITCHEN! WE NEED TO TAKE HIM TO THE HOSPITAL!"

"Huh? What…what happened!?"

"I don't know! I wake up and Jason had walked into the kitchen, grabbed some Ajax, and ate it! I walked into the kitchen and there he was! We need to take him to the hospital!" Joanna said.

"Shit! Where is he now!?" Dean said, scrambling to get up.

"He's in the living room. We need to go," Joanna said.

I have had bad days in my life.

But this was by far the worst.
