Chapter 21: Can't Kill the Metal
Last time, our heroes met up with Blaze & Tails after both parties defeated Metal Sonic & Dark Matt. After explaining what each party was doing, an intercom turned on to reveal two voices. An elevator then came down from the ceiling as if to challenge Matt & his friends. Shall we see what happens?
Date: August 21, 2011, Time: 7:30 pm, Location: Final Egg
"Everyone ready?" Matt asked.
"Is that even a question?" Sonic replied. "Let's go!" Once everyone was on the elevator, it started to rise up. They passed through some infrared beams & heard machines start up. "That doesn't sound good." Tails noted. The elevator then stopped in a room with robot generators, a camera, & speakers. "I hope you like this room, because you're not leaving it alive! Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho!"
"Oh really? What are you throwing at us a nuclear explosion?" Matt replied.
"No. We'd get caught in the blast. Plus, we want to take over the world, not destroy it. Tell me, can you fight… yourself?" As if on cue, the robot generators opened to reveal robot versions of everyone, including a now repaired Metal Sonic & a yellow & black one as well. "Oh great." Sonic sighed. "Metal Sonic v2.0 is back."
"There's 2 Metal Sonics?" Rose asked.
"Yeah. Metal Sonic v2.0 was made by Eggman Nega." Tails replied. "That's the second voice we heard. I'm 99.9% positive."
"Crap. Thanks to that we're outnumbered. Let's give it our all." Matt exclaimed.
"My sonic screwdriver should come in handy."
"I've fought a copy of myself the first time I fought Wily, this will be easy."
"I'm the princess of the Sol Dimension & guardian of the sol emeralds. I won't let a copy stop me from doing my duty."
"I've hacked computers with a toothpick before. This will be a cakewalk."
"Whether it's cleaning a drain or kicking robot butt…"
"There's nothing the Mario Brothers can't handle."
"What about me? I don't even have a weapon!"
"Don't worry Rose. I'm creating a sword for you. It even has a laser attachment."
"Thanks. What about the 2nd Metal Sonic though?"
"What about him?" a mysterious voice said. Suddenly, a red echidna busted through the wall. "Hey Sonic. Sorry I was late. I got held up in Mystic Ruins. That place is a maze."
"No worries Knuckles. Now then, let's go!"
"Right!" Everyone said in unison.
