I'm trying to keep the sections Original, and not have almost the same fight four times. But thanks for the follows and faves and reading :3
Section Two (No One's POV, Sort of the Readers POV I guess) -
Blake had found himself at the bottom right section; he had been followed by Cobra, Cassiel and of course, Yukino. There were around twenty five mage donned in black around them. Laxus and Orga had managed to split the groups evenly, but the magic radiating from these mages compared to the ones Ebony and co were facing were on two different levels, these were more powerful. Of course, Blake did have the advantage to his sister, he had more people fighting by his side, and he could connect to his powers, but he didn't know this, didn't know of the troubles his sister was facing and had little idea of the trouble he would face.
Perhaps he would have felt calmer about the whole situation if he knew Cassiel and Cobra to the extent he knew Yukino, or Yukino to the extent he knew his sister. He couldn't plan, couldn't try and form any sort of strategy, he wouldn't work as well with them as he did with his sister and it panicked him that perhaps he wouldn't get out of this alive.
Yukino could only stare at the men who were donned in black as they remained still, waiting and silent. She didn't fancy her odds, not in the slightest. She was only so powerful, Blake was only so powerful, and the two dragon slayers were only so powerful. It was four to twenty five; the odds weren't in their favour.
Cassiel didn't care about the whole fight, she was used to kill or be killed, it was her job, and her life. She knew she'd have to protect the Sabertooth mages, not so much Cobra but it was still her duty to protect others. It just scared her, how fast war was coming when it seemed so peaceful before. She had accepted death and she welcomed it to try and take her, she'd go down with a fight.
Cobra perhaps at the start, wasn't worried, but the fear and worries in the minds of the two Sabers seeped in slowly, and began to make him realise, that he might not make it out of this. He'd fight, of course he'd fight, this war had pulled Dragon Slayers in and he'd be damned if he didn't fight in it. Maybe he wasn't a good guy, but everyone deserves redemption, right?
We do not wish to fight." One man said as he walked up to the front of his smaller group, hands held high to suggest he means no harm. He had broken the fragile and stagnant silence, and some wished that he just remained silent because now a choice had to be made. His voice was soft and quite, it seemed to hold no grudge or anger. In fact, he just seemed like he wanted peace. "Charles is a stupid man; he should have just moved on and waited."
Blake went to respond but the Captain beat him to it. She crossed her arms, gripped her upper arms in annoyance as she offered him a cold and calculating look. "You come marching up here like no one else; with a fucking small army no less and you're telling us you don't wish to fight? Mate, this is technically an act of war. We have every right to kill you all and be done with it. Better yet, the council can't say shit because you're a threat and a half. It's you or us mate, and we both know it." She shook her head; Cassiel looked frustrated by it all.
"A Captain of the 'Rune Knights', I guess you all aren't as stupid and blind as we had been lead to believe. Maybe if you survive you could have a place in our ranks, you obliviously know people will die." The man said, almost sounding impressed as he seemed to study the Rune Knight who could only glare back. "You'd fit, death is heavy on your soul. Who were they? Did you know their names? Do you regret killing them?" Cassiel could only look away as the man turned to Cobra. "Yours too, but that's to be expected, you're a criminal." Then his eyes fell to Blake. "And you, which is a shock if I'm honest, the dear sweet Celestial Mage is the only one who's souls near enough clean. Do you truly know these people?"
Yukino just shrugged as she gave him a dangerous levelled look. "As long as you repent, and want forgiveness, are willing to right your wrongs, its fine. We all make mistakes, don't try and capitalise on theirs, when you have no regrets for your own." She spat as she slipped her hand to her keys and grasped them in an iron tight hold.
Blake cracked his knuckles as he looked at the group. "So if we just let you go, what will you do?" He knew he was going to fight them, he couldn't in good conscious let them get away, they were almost everything he hated, and a cause to what could be the world's end, he would end this.
"Kill the traitorous ancient, what else would we do?" The man replied with a light laugh. It happened too fast, faster than anyone could react; a surge of tainted white hit the man and knocked him to the floor. Blake stood over him, the light shinning over his fists.
The White God Slayer looked down. "That Ancient happens to be my father." Then he drove his fist into the man's chest, the tainted light exploded around them, and when it faded, only twenty four robed men remained as they just looked at Blake who watched them with cold eyes. "Yukino, you look lovely in your dress, it's a shame it'll get ruined."
Cobra glanced to Cassiel who raised her open palms in the air, eyes closed as she gained a connection to the ground. "You'd still be terrifying in a dress." He said as he adjusted his stance, readying to attack anybody who drew to close.
It was a defensive game for the moment, use as little magic as possible, wipe out the weaker ones before they could begin to try and expend great amounts of magic. Cassiel would provide most of the defence, the others knew that much, Cassiel trusted Cobra just enough to know he'd provide protection for her in case anything got too close. Blake would try and take out the outer mages, and Yukino would summon her spirits.
Yukino didn't even summon it; a red headed spirit appeared in front of her and batted a fireball away before he unsheathed his sword. There were no words spoken; only understanding. She knew it was running of its own magic currently, giving her room to summon another spirit.
"Gate of the Scales, I open thee. Libra!" After using the key to cut through the air, Libra appeared in front of Yukino and looked at the robed men who began to move into a peculiar formation. "Stop them."
It was like a great weight struck them, causing them to fall to the ground, under great pressure as Libra watched, possibly smirking behind the material that covered her mouth. Though, as soon as it came it went, with Libra disappearing, the light dying from Blake's hands and the Dragon Slayers exchanging worried looks.
Those donned in black stood and returned to moving as the four mages could only watch, the Red headed spirit remained but took place in front of Yukino. It was like an arrow, the formation, the one at the front held out his hands and began to chant but Cassiel ran forwards and took the man's head between her hands and in one swift movement, snapped his neck before anyone could react.
"I know what that spell is mates, and it is punishable by death, and no, I don't regret killing all those people. I'm a bad person." Cassiel said as she let the mage drop to the ground, before she was violently struck by many forms of magic hitting her from most directions. She hit the floor and the dust rose. When it settled she was gone.
"Cassiel!" Cobra shouted as he lurched forwards but Blake caught his arm and shook his head at the Dragon Slayer as he held him back.
"Our magic is coming back." He whispered in a harsh tone and gestured to the side where a form emerged from the stone ground.
It grunted in pain and collapsed to the ground; stone scales became human flesh and revealed a battered and beaten Captain who could only be thankful her pain meant that a crisis had, for now, been averted. Assuming the others didn't know how to front that spell. "I think I'll sit this one out." She wheezed and coughed out some blood onto the cold ground before her.
It caught the downed Dragon off guard, a stream of fire that shot her way. She couldn't move, not in her state, and could only watch it approach. Suddenly, and violently she was pulled back, a wall of pure pressure protected her from the oncoming flames. Not even seconds later she was dropped from the hold and her savoir punched someone who drew close with a touch spell.
A mage made a grab Yukino, trying to pick her up and grapple her so she couldn't summon any more spirits but she swivelled in his grasp and lifted him up, throwing herself backwards and flipping him in the air in a feat of surprising strength. Once he landed on the ground, breaking every bone in his body, she dusted her hands off and smiled at the God Slayer who stared at her, mouth slightly agape in shock. Of course, these Mages weren't the smartest, and another went in for a grapple. Somehow, she ended up behind him, and got him in a chokehold, easing him to the ground as he fell unconscious from the lack of air.
The area around them began to shake violently, affecting Cobra, the Spirit, Yukino and Blake immensely. The Mages donned in black seemed to be okay as they let their magic loose on those who couldn't dodge, burning and bludgeoning, leaving cuts and scratches as the smell of singed clothes and hair wafted throughout. Rocks and stones began to rise and shoot towards them but...
"Stop." Cassiel hissed as she struggled to her feet, a hand held out that seemed to stop the whole world from moving. Shock arose, of course it was surprisingly to find a Mage with such control over the earth, they only knew of two, but now a third had arisen. "The Earth is mine to control, leave or feel its wrath."
"Two of our men are dead because of you." Someone shouted. "You should pay the same price! We offered you peace but you didn't take it!"
"I'm Captain Cassiel Terrarium of the Rune Knights, Head and founder of the 1st Specialised Unit." She said as she grasped her side and walked forward with pained steps. "If anything, leave the civilians out of it!"
The mages seemed to stop and think for a moment. "If you and the God Slayer remain, the other two can leave free." One of them said and Cassiel nodded but fell, only to be caught by Cobra who switched his glare between her and the Order of the Black Heart.
"The Earth is My Past, My Present and My Future! Total take over!" Cassiel said as she struggled to breathe, bleeding and disorientated the world began to shift around them. It was like a small pocket dimension was created, only a small piece of land floated in a warm glow. They were trapped, and the only way out was for Cassiel to stop it.
Stone pillars floated around uselessly, and playing field that would make any Earth Mage cry in joy, but not Cassiel, who slumped against the Poison Dragon Slayer, unconscious as her body slipped into a stasis.
Blake jumped onto the nearest pillar and held up his slightly burned and bruised hands. "White God Slayer's Wrath!" He shouted out angrily. The world was silent for a moment, before a large beam of white light struck the centre of the group, continuously striking down.
The Red Headed Spirit gripped his sword that alit with fire, before swinging it, which caused an arc of flames to come forth, striking those at front. He moved back as Yukino punched someone in the face, listening as the bones crunched underneath her fist.
Cobra clung onto Cassiel's near lifeless body as he used pressure to blast away anyway who got to close and before long, only five remained in this vortex.
"Cassiel, you've got to wake up." Cobra said as he poked the Captain in the cheek. "End the spell, you can't just die!"
Blake knelt by Cassiel and Cobra, pressing his fingers gently to her neck before he let out a small sigh of relief, moved his hand to just above her mouth and felt small breaths on his finger tips. Then he glanced up at Cobra that scowled at Cassiel and offered a confused look before Cobra let out a sigh.
"I know Cassiel from way back, like when I was learning my Dragon Slayer Magic, I hated her. Honestly hated her, she had a Dragon, a father effectively, was all free of care in the world, but she took her time and taught me to control my magic the same way her Dragon taught her because she dared to pity me." Cobra let out another sigh and shook his head. "You should have seen her when I first got locked up, the look of total shock, confusion and then the shrug. I honestly think she let them bust me out."
"So you two are friends?" Yukino asked as her spirit approached her and put his hand on her shoulder.
"Fuck no, I still hate her. She got it all and I got next to nothing." He said.
"Master, from what I understand, that spell is something only the top of the top Earth Dragon's can use. I'd have to ask my cousin about it but, she'll die if you don't figure out how to save her." The Spirit said. "The spell is dissipating since she's not controlling it."
I don't know if I'll go into it, the whole Cassiel thing, but sometimes I might get a little bored writing about Lucy and the twins, so I'm giving myself openings to do a little side story, they won't amass to much, unless you guys are like, hey, I want to see what happens to Cassiel, rather than having me skim over it.
Although, I'll just do brief POV for her until this 'arc' is over. Effectively I want to write an epic fight between the really obvious fight that's coming. And it may annoy me slightly I have two more fights at least to write, possibly a third one, until I get to that fight.
