Marion piloted Morat's ship as it sailed through the empty expanse of space. She turned from the cockpit to stare at the closed bedroom door. It had been nearly 24 hours since Felina had killed the Justicar and she had still not left that room. Corvus desperately wanted to fix this but had no idea where to start.

She leaned her head down and her hair fell down. She went to swipe it back behind her ears like always before she remembered that was no longer possible. She found a tie and pulled her brown locks into a short pony tail. Her face was in bad shape. Before joining the Alliance after she turned 18, Marion was a beautiful girl. But countless near death encounters had robbed her of her soft features and scarred her face and body. Now she was down to one ear and a crooked nose on top of the jagged scars carved into her face. She was almost as bandaged up as Felina. But there was still a rugged beauty to her face.

Corvus rose to her feet and slowly approached the bedroom. She stepped inside and found Felina laying in the bed with her eyes open. "You doing alright?" the human asked knowing the answer. Felina didn't reply. Marion stood in awkward silence trying to think of what to say. "I get it. I know what it's like."

"No Marion, you really don't." Felina said quietly.

Corvus sat down next to the asari. Felina had wrapped her face back up with fresh bandages and the human could no longer read her face. "I've killed a lot of people. And not just in the military or C-Sec."

"I-I did this to my face so I'd never do what I did to Raila. I've spent half a century alone, I've sacraficed so much, all so I'd never hurt anyone. A-And it was all for nothing."

"She was going to kill you."

"I deserve it." Felina said and rolled away from the human.

"She was going to kill me. Would you have rather that happened?"

Felina rolled back and locked eyes with Marion. "N-No."

"Then you can't blame yourself. You saved my life. And you saved yourself. And if you ask me she deserved it. I would have happily killed her myself. I'm sorry you had to do it."

"Even if she deserved it I'm still a killer."

"I was 17 years old the first time I killed someone." Marion said.

Felina sat up. "R-Really?"

"I have a younger sister. Her name's Robin. Pretty girl, innocent, couldn't hurt a fly type. Everywhere I went Robin tagged along and she'd look up at me with these big brown eyes of hers and I had nothing but love for her. After our mother died my father didn't know what to do with us. He was a cruel man. He'd beat me and Robin after he'd come home drunk, touched Robin a few times but he knew not to try that shit with me. One night he came home more shitfaced than I had ever seen him and he starts hitting my sister harder than usual. Broke both her arms and she was begging for him to stop, looking at me with those big brown eyes of hers, full of tears. When I shoved him off her he threw me to the ground." Marion reached back and pulled her brown hair away to reveal a scar high up on the back of her neck. "Got that one when I broke through the glass table." she let her hair fall back and Felina was now listening intently. "Dad liked to keep guns. When he went back to beat on Robin I grabbed one and told him to stop. He threw her down to the ground and she cradled up into a little ball, arms limp at her sides. His eyes were full of rage and he looks at me and screams every bad word you could call a young girl my way. Telling me he's gonna kill me, he's gonna rape me, he's gonna whatever. Finally I can't hear anymore so I shot the piece of shit with his own gun. Robin is screaming and Dad looks up at me with nothing but disbelief in his ugly old face as he watches the blood pour out of his chest. He goes to open his mouth again and I put him down for good with a shot between the eyes."

"You..y-you killed your father?"

Marion nodded. "Yeah." her voice was distant. "It was him or my sister. I did it to protect her just like you killed Raila to protect me."

"W-Why have you never mentioned Robin?"

The hurt in Marion's voice was strong when she answered. "Because after that night she wouldn't even speak with me. Even after all the shit our father put us through she hated me for killing him for her. I haven't seen Robin since. Shortly after that day I turned 18 and joined the Alliance."

"I-I'm sorry."

"I didn't tell you that to make you feel sorry for me, Kid. You need to know what you did was the right thing. Because I've never regretting pulling that trigger. I've killed a lot of people for a lot of reasons, but the only reason i've ever found justified is love."

"It's not just that I killed her."

Marion took the girl's hand. "Then what is it? Please, I want to help you."

"It's how good it felt. How good it still feels."Tears once again fell from the asari's eyes.

"Oh baby." Marion wrapped her strong arms around her. "That's not your fault."

"It doesn't hurt anymore." Felina muttered.

"What doesn't?"

Felina pulled away from Marion and hooked her hand under the human's chin. She leaned in and kissed her and Corvus kissed her back. She didn't feel it anymore, killing Raila had fed her dark urges. While she knew they would one day return, right now she didn't care about that. Marion pulled away and licked her lips with a perplexed expression on her face. Felina leaned in, "Make love to me." she whispered in Marion's remaining ear.

"But what about your disorder? We tried this remember?"

"I-I can do it this time. I promise I won't hurt you. Please, I want this. Goddess, more than a-anything I want this."

Marion wanted it too. Hesitantly her hands found the hem of the asari's shirt and pulled it over her head. She was determined to take it slow this time. She carefully crawled out of bed careful not to disturb the sleeping human. She reached up and felt her face. She had forgotten to remove her bandages before she fell asleep so she stripped them off and padded into the bathroom.

She started the shower and stepped under the hot water. As she showered a smile spread across her scarred face and she laughed as tears of joy fell from her eyes and mixed with the water splashing on her face. After all her time alone, all the pain she had endured in this moment Felina was happy.

Corvus' eyes fluttered open and she found herself alone in the bedroom. The sound of the shower running in the other room answered her question as to where the asari was. Marion looked around the bedroom and found her jacket on the floor. She stepped out of bed and picked it up off the ground before carefully folding it and setting it on the bed. She looked down to Sarah's name on her arm. She didn't know how she felt. She still loved Sarah and Daniel with all her heart, she never expected to fall in love again. She couldn't decide if she was ashamed or happy but eventually she settled on happy.

Sarah would want this for her. The blonde loved her too much to want her to be alone. She ran her fingers over her tattoo. "Miss you." she whispered.
