Surrounded by Sontarans on both sides of a narrow bridge. Now that wasn't usually the ideal situation, but they had a surfboard so it was okay. Rose looked incredulously at the Doctor...okay so it wasn't one hundred percent okay, but it would do. Oh now Rose was angry, he was going to hear about this one later...

The Doctor wasn't even going to think about the Mata Hari in a Paris hotel room incident. If Rose hadn't walked in when she did he probably would have been in even more trouble than he currently was. Luckily she forgave him, only because she heard him stuttering out, "I-I-I-I-I-I'm Married!" While running wildly around the room towards the exit.

They laid down some vocals! Rose teased him for days about the backwards hat, but it looked cool! And he sounded cool! So everything was okay. Now if only they could get that pesky Helmic Regulator working properly.

Rose heard the Doctor recounting his adventures over the phone to the Pond's answering machine. She laughed while handing him the tools he needed to repair that Regulator. He just couldn't get the Temporal Steering right. She sighed and walked closer to him to look at the machinery, and to speak into the mouth piece of the phone.

"Hi Mum! Dad! We'll be with you any day now, as soon as we get this darn thing fixed! Uh oh...DOCTOR WE'RE GOING TO COLLIDE WITH ANCIENT GREECE!"

The Pond's listened to the message, and the screaming. Normally they would be very concerned, but Rose was with the Doctor, so he would make it out okay. "To the Doctor and Rose." They toasted each other.

"Doctor you just can't go bursting in!" Amy and Rory heard Rose's voice seconds before the door was flung open, which gave them enough time to cover up.

"Stop everything!" The Doctor shouted

"What's going on?" Rory asked looking from the Doctor's serious face, to Rose's more embarrassed one.

"Doctor, bedroom!" Amy sighed before smiling at Rose, at least she understood Bedroom rules.

"We have a rule about the bedroom."

The Doctor ignored them, "No one on this planet is safe right now. We have to solve this before it's too late. Get your clothes on. If we move fast enough we at least stand a chance and you have no idea what I'm talking about, do you?" He saw their confused expressions and Rose's cutting motions.

"No." The Ponds replied in unison.

"Helmic regulator." Rose whispered with a sigh.

"Oh helmic regulator! Too early! Wrong point! As you were!" He started to turn around.

"Doctor, you can't just go like that. What's happening? Don't we need to know?" Amy asked, now alarmed.

"We popped up in the wrong order." Rose started.

"Easy mistake to make. Nothing to alarm you. Forget we were every here. We'll be back soon enough...I think. Everything's fine. Pretty much. Don't worry about the future. The future's really...safe. Really really safe..." Rose caught the unsure look on the Doctor's face while he spoke, they both saw the brief flashes of Rory and Amy's timelines, not much, just enough to alarm the Doctor. She put her hand on his arm to lead him out.

"Sleep well!" she said with a grin and mouthed, "Make River and me a brother."

"I really hate when he does that..." Rory muttered before turning back to Amy.

Rose was leaning against the console while the Doctor fiddled with the regulator.

"Doctor...where's the Ood?" she asked. His head popped up just before the phone rang.

Rose was closer so she answered it and put it on speaker. "Rose, honey, there is an Ood on our Loo." came the voice from the other side.

"Odd! Yes! We were wondering where he'd got to. I was just gonna tell Rose, I thought he'd gone for a walk in the TARDIS. Must have wandered off when we popped in the other night. If it was the other night...you know, we rescued him from the middle of the Androvax Conflict. We were taking him back to the Oodsphere. Anyway, he's not being a nuisance, is he?"

Amy told her that he wasn't, she talked to Rose about other things, things the Doctor couldn't hear because Rose took the cordless into the bedroom, and that was the last of the conversation about the Ood, until later on that day, anyway. Back under the Console both were when the phone rang again. This time the TARDIS herself patched it through the speakers.

"Doctor. Doctor-He um, he seems to think he's our butler." Rory's voice came through this time.

"He's conditioned to serve! You know the best thing is, let him do just that. I'll come around and pick him up tonight. Whenever tonight is." An alarm sounded. "Oh no...gotta go."

"Doctor the power drain's threatening to cause the TARDIS to implode! On no, that's bad.!" Rose's voice sounded slightly panicked.

"Idris why are you doing that? No no no no! Don't do that!" the line went dead.

The Doctor was leaving a message on the answering machine again, "Ponds. Us again. Sorry about the gaps in communications. Dropped your Ood back home. Reconnected it to the hive mind. Helmic regulator's still not working."

"It got hit by an arrow at Hasting's Hill. Don't ask how an arrow got in when the Assembled Hordes of Genghis Kan could not." Rose's voice came on.

"Also, rode horses through eleventh century Coventry. I think we may have accidentally invented pasta." The Doctor trailed off.

"We popped 'round but you were out. Which is fine. Everything's alright isn't it?" Rose's voice turned slightly worried.

"Of course it is. Ponds, always fine. Just worrying unnecessarily. Anyway just call us if you need us. Okay. Toodle pip." The Doctor finished off then looked at Rose before pulling out his Sonic and erasing the message.

"Pond! See you in a bit yah?" He rerecorded a new message.

"Love you lots!" Rose added.

"We'll pick up River next time!" The Doctor added.

Neither party knew that Amy had arrived just after they hung up. She listened to the message and whispered at the phone, almost willing them to here her.. "We need you, Raggedy Man and Bad Wolf. I need you."

A/N: So sorry for the delay

*Spoilers for series 7! you can skip to the end of the spoiler if you want to keep reading this note*

I really want to see how Clara and Rose interact during the 50th to know how to write her reaction on Asylum of the Daleks when she hears Clara's voice. I know the Doctor didn't recognize her, so I am assuming he locked away his memories perhaps, but at the same time my Rose's memories will be harder to lock, especially with the Bad Wolf controlling her mind. Although when I think about it, I may just make it very ambiguous, with Rose just swearing she recognizes the voice but not knowing how to place it, which would give me the freedom to write up to The Angels Take Manhattan (I have a surprise for that one ;D ) until I have to figure out how to incorporate Clara into Rose and The Doctor's story.
