Chapter 25

No one's POV

It was already two hours, they had departed and enjoyed most of the ride… uh… somewhat… Nothing unusual… Dan was laughing too much so Shun had kicked him twice by now… thrice… that made him fall down his seat. Keith was still busy in 'interrogating' Ace; Marucho was chatting with Ren and Klaus while the remaining boys watched in amusement and laughed… Well, it was ironic that the silent ones were making noise and the others were just watching.

"He is lying! Dan! Clear the things up!" exclaimed Ace, frustrated. This made the girls break their conversation and look at boys who seemed to be 'enjoying'. The girls made their way to the front except Fabia but she was dragged by Alice again.

"Hey! You guys seem to be having fun!" exclaimed Julie as she pushed Keith to make space for her, earning a glare from Keith and a deadly look from Ace who was pushed to the window. Runo and Mira sat beside Shun replacing Dan as he was still on the floor. "HEY!"

Alice sat beside Marucho and laughed at the scene happening beside her while Fabia joined Ren again who was laughing at Dan. Now everyone crowded the front seats earning a disapproving look from their boss. Atleast the seats are comfortable and spacious. Dan stood up and half-yelled, "Move out ladies! That is my seat!"

The girls made no attempt to move so Dan pushed Mira towards Runo which caused Shun to smack his head on the window, making a loud noise.

Silence…

"Oh no! Are you alright?" Alice broke the silence with a concerned look as she stood up. Without answering, Shun stood up and smacked Dan's head with a fist.

"OWW! It was an accident!" Dan groaned, who was holding his head now.

Shun ignored him and walked past him but suddenly the bus jerked causing Dan, Alice and Shun to lose their balance who were the only one's standing. Shun held out his hand and grabbed the nearest head of the seat for the support while Alice fell forward causing her to smack her head on Shun's shoulder who put his other hand around her shoulders to steady her, instinctively.

On the other hand, Dan fell on Runo… His head over her shoulder and smashed his face on the seat Runo was leaning on. He had grabbed Runo's shoulders for support who had a red face due to either embarrassment or anger. 'Click, click'

"JULIE?! This is no time for taking pictures!" exclaimed a red faced Runo as she pushed Dan off of her with the help of a smirking Mira. Shun and Alice were already standing beside each other. Shun death glared at his friends when he heard the 'Click-s' of camera's but then smirked when he heard Julie whining and saying, "Too bad! I could not take their picture!", pointing at Shun.

Alice and the others were laughing at Dan while Shun smirked at him. Dan had a red face due to embarrassment while Runo had a red face due to both anger and embarrassment.

"You Idiot! Why didn't you held on to something when you were standing?!" yelled Runo and huffed. Dan took a seat beside her (Shun's seat) and looked outside the window.

"Ha! As if I did that on purpose" he said, pouting. The others knew he was avoiding looking at them as his cheeks were red. Now there was a bump forming on his forehead as it was smacked on the head of the seat. 'Man! It hurts! And that was really funny if it had happened with someone other than me…' he thought and sighed.

Shun went to the back seat to sit alone. But as he passed Klaus, he received a glare. Of course he had seen the scene. Shun smirked at him, triumphantly. 'Now I feel better…' thought Shun.

Alice glanced at the others and found that they are already busy chatting. She turned to Fabia and saw that she was already glaring daggers at her and looked outside the window, huffing. Alice sighed and followed Shun. 'Why didn't she go after him?' thought Alice and shook her head at Fabia. Ren saw this and smiled a little at Alice who returned the smile and resumed her walk.

On the other hand, Fabia had witnessed how Shun had held Alice as she was falling. She was surprised that Shun had a concerned look but that look was something… different, she was sure. She had never seen him showing that much concern to anyone except his family. She couldn't help but feel jealous.

'No! I can't lose to her! But… looking at him… It's so painful… Why does he always ignore me? He is doing that since we were in high school! I was happy that he never dated anyone back there and when I found out that Father was planning on merging our companies if we marry, I was really very happy. I tried everything so that you can like me back but…! I should try more! I don't want to lose him… I like him a lot' thought Fabia and sighed sadly.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Ren put a hand on her shoulder. She snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him and found that he was giving his as usual carefree smile to her. She smiled back a little. She recalled that just before they left her house, Ren had come to her house to accompany her and they had a conversation. He had said that he was watching her trying so hard for Shun and he'll be there if she wants to talk anything, always. She was puzzled that he always says that and always was with her… 'But is it just my imagination or he looked sad that time…?' she thought.

"What are you thinking, Fabia? Don't tell me you have a plan or something?" asked Ren, jokingly. Fabia smirked and said, "Not really…" and resumed looking out the window.

Meanwhile…

"Oww… be more gentle, Runo!" exclaimed Dan while Runo rolled her eyes at him. She was applying an ointment on his forehead, uninterestedly. Julie had given her the ointment, grinning widely.

"Don't be such a baby…" said Runo and then gently rubbed his forehead. Dan smiled looking at her causing her to blush slightly.

"Dan, if you don't look outside the window now, I'll thrust this ointment in your eyes!" said Runo, glaring at him. Dan just smiled and said, "As you wish" and looked out, causing her to blush more.

Shun's POV

I sat down and sighed. Those dimwits! Idiotic friends of mine! I rubbed the side of my head. I had hit the window pretty hard as I was relaxed and didn't know that coming. That Dan! Serves him right! And Klaus should back out… I can see he's planning something but he cannot win against me. This time it's not about the business anymore… I glanced at the front and saw that Runo was tending that Idiot. He's such an Idiot that he can't even realize that he likes Runo. I can see him turn to look out the window. Yup… he's totally blushing…

"Shun, are you alright?" I turn to look at Alice. I can hear the concern in her voice and I admit I like that… a lot. I smirked. She was still standing. That white floral dress really looks good on her.

"Yes. Why are you standing? Sit" I said. She smiled and took a seat beside me. Good… atleast she's not keeping an arm length distance from me. She's cheerful today and that's a great thing. Even I was looking forward to this trip but when I saw Klaus this morning… Why did she invite him!

"I talked with grandpa yesterday! He said he's a little busy now a days but he'll be back soon… I can't wait to see him! I think he'll be back after a week or so…" she said.

I nodded. She looked ahead, smiling. I looked at her surprised that she didn't bring up Fabia in this topic as she's doing it regularly. And it's becoming an annoyance to me…

"Well, Fabia-san was really happy when I asked her to come that she thanked me! Isn't it great? She's nice. And why didn't you say anything when she asked how she looked, in morning?" she asked…

I spoke too soon… There she goes again… Wait… Fabia thanked her? I get that she must be happy she got to come where I'm going but thanking Alice…? That's odd… Knowing her, she had hurt some fan girls in school after she claimed that I'm hers… Seriously? But then again, it was in the past… whatever… She had hurt so many people just because of her obsession with me which she calls love… I'm sure she'll find her true love someday and I still consider her a friend… but she doesn't seem to get that… Why am I thinking this anyway? Thinking what she had become makes me angry.

"Didn't you see how she asked? If she had asked me as a friend, I would have answered her…" I answered Alice. I'm sure I'm frowning now. Alice sighed. Why is she worrying over such a thing?

"Shun, I know you don't like her and I saw you always ignore her but atleast give her a chance… Just consider her feelings…? I know it's not your intention but I can see she's hurting because of that…" she said. Great! Now I'm a villain? I looked out of the window. I refuse to answer her now.

"You just don't get it, do you? I know you have been avoiding talking about her. Can't you be like more than friends with her? Fine!" she said and stood up to leave. Huh? She's angry? No… Her face is neutral. She looks determined…? No one is looking at us means they haven't heard her. Good… But I frowned at her last sentence. I grabbed her wrist, halting her.

"What are you going to do, Alice?" I asked. I can see her laugh nervously. She waved her other hand.

"Nothing, nothing… Hey, look! We are on a bridge!" she exclaimed, as she dived for window to see the big river below. That was a pretty good sight. I chuckled and let go of her hand. I had to back up against my seat as she was leaning over to the window for a better view. I looked past her head and saw everyone was looking at the view… well… Dan and Runo were arguing as Dan was blocking her view… Anyway, my view is better than them as I can see Alice in it. I smirked. Everyone can try… but I won't change my mind…

No one's POV

"…What is… this…?" everyone could only mutter…

"Hey, Mister…? Are you sure it's the right place?" asked Dan to the driver.

The driver nodded and smiled. Everyone looked at him questioningly. They were out of the bus after four hours of ride and stood carrying their bags, looking around. Dan was carrying extra basket of food Alice had prepared for them. It looked like they were standing in front of a large old wooden gate with beautiful carvings… and were surrounded by trees. Overall, the area looked spooky to them.

"Yes. It's the exact location I have to drop you all off, by the orders of Shiori-sama. This is the letter she asked to give you all after we reach. Please enjoy your vacation. I'll take my leave now" replied the driver and handed Shun the letter and left with the bus, before anyone could say anything. Shun shrugged and read aloud…

"- My dear kids, I hope you all have reached the destination by now as you are reading this letter. You can enter the gate and follow the path that will lead you to where you can stay for the rest of the days… The place might look strange but once you reach I'm sure you all will be surprised. Follow the map which is on the back of the letter and there is also a key to open the gate inside the envelope. It'll be little like hiking or something. Enjoy kids! I want to hear exciting stories from everyone, once you are back but don't get in trouble (or too lovey-dovey) or your parents might strangle me.

PS- Don't wander around or you might get lost. Please be careful on the way as it is not so smooth… And Shun, restrain yourself from killing Dan…

Shun left the part 'or too lovey-dovey'. 'Seriously?! What kind of letter is this?!' thought Shun and shook his head as he saw his companions looked intrigued.

Shun cleared his throat. He removed the key from the envelope which was a card for swiping. They all stared at the card. It was printed as 'Doom card'. 'You have got to be kidding me…' thought Shun and sweatdropped.

"Okay. You heard it… Let's go" said Shun. Just then, Dan snatched the letter from Shun and re-read it. "Dan, give that back!" said Shun but Dan interrupted him.

"Oyi, Boss! You forget to read 'Keith and Julie will be the leaders until you reach, if you have to take any drastic decisions. Otherwise, you are on your own. That's an order' part! …Aha! You purposely did that!" exclaimed Dan,, grinning at Shun, who was surrounded by murderous aura now.

"Yeah… that right!" squealed Julie and Keith nodded as they both read the letter, well… Julie's eyes sparkled.

Everyone's shoulders slumped in disappointment except Alice, Ren and Fabia. Keith smirked in Shun's direction who glared intensely at both Dan and Keith. The others rolled their eyes. Shun exhaled deeply.

"Whatever. There's a condition that if 'we have to take any drastic decisions', they can lead us… Now let's go" said Shun, rolling his eyes.

He stepped ahead and swiped the card that was the key, at the corner of the large door which revealed a normal door on the left side of the large gate. 'The door is old but hi-tech!' they all thought and followed Shun inside.

As soon as they entered, the door closed behind them. They all glanced at each other than shrugged. They looked ahead the path, squinting their eyes a little. Shun was busy looking at the map. The wind blew past them and they found the only path leading ahead into what looked like forest and were surrounded by nothing but the trees.

"…!"

"…?" were their thoughts.
