I've been charged with attempt to escape. No joke, I'm literally under room arrest. Flutter has put her foot down on me. I'm locked in my room with only three people allowed in and a guard outside my window and one outside my door. It's not my fault though! I need to find Sandy it's been two days! Two whole days! I needed to find him! I had to explain myself! If not I had to do something! I had to I was going crazy in this room. Which is why I'm planning my escape again.

I know it's a bit of a stupid idea. I have the baby to think about, but according to my main healer I'm perfectly fine. There is nothing that will harm the baby. As for what's weird with it they're still not sure. I think it might have something to do with Sandy's powers, but I can't be so sure. Its not like I have some other pregnancy to compare it to. Unless Sandy has records of his parents…. does he even have parents? Does he have siblings? Was Sandy always the Sandman?

I can't stand this anymore! I'm going crazy listening to my own thoughts all the time. I mean it was bad enough when I was able to stand in front of a mirror long enough. I found out that my stomach was coming in. I kept my hand on it for hours! The nurse asked me when I was going to come out of the bathroom! I was losing it.

This…this thing…this kid…my kid growing inside of me. It…he…she…he is growing without a father. It's my kid…its our kid…I don't care if Sandy never talks to me again, but he can't miss this. He can't miss all the little things that are going to happen. From what they said it could be almost any day now that I could begin to feel this kid moving around in me.

I know that Ellie was going to have Joyce look up some things in some old medical books and see if anything will help. I do not know if anything will. This kid I think will be here in less than 7 months. If this kid is somehow the reincarnation of Carter he'll show up at the worse possible moment and when we are least expecting it.

When I asked if an ultrasound would possibly help the fairies looked at me like I was crazy, but they were going to try it anyway. It was found out that no something was surrounding the baby I think it was a protective layer of sand. I really think that there is something special about this pregnancy. I really do if only I knew what it was.

"Lex?" Flutter came to visit me again. She was one of the three that could see me. The other two were Sandy and my healer. "How are you?"

"I'm okay." I said. I couldn't let her know that my escape plan was quite well thought out this time. There was no way that I wasn't going to get out of here. The guards would have no idea what's going to hit them.

"How's the…"

"Fine." I said. "I just wish Sandy was here."

"I'm sure he's just busy. You know being the Sandman and all of that."

"Yeah." I said with a small smile. I knew she was just trying to make me feel better. I'm sure most of them were just trying to make me feel better.

I mean he couldn't be angry with me that bad could he? Could he think that I meant to do this? Could he think that I did not want our child? That I would not want to start a family? Could he believe that I would not want the two of us to be the three of us? Did he think I didn't want to marry him? I never planned to start a family before I was married, but that didn't mean I wouldn't.

Flutter left me alone at some point during my internal questioning of myself. I looked at the clock in my room. It was almost time to start my plan. My healer would be in to check on me for the last time tonight and take away my food. The guards would be changing and I would make my way out.

"How are you feeling?" The healer came in right on time. I yawned putting my plan into action.

"I'm a little tired. Feeling a bit drained."

"Pregnancy will do that to you." She smiled at me. "Why don't you get to bed early?" The healer went towards my window and closed the drapes. All was going according to the plan. I figured it would be suspicious if I closed the drapes way before my normal time of sleep.

"I never knew it would be like this." I said lying down on the bed.

"I'm sure you'll feel better after you sleep." The healer said. She left the room and said something to the guard outside. I listened intently. She was telling him that I was not to be disturbed that I was fatigued from the pregnancy. I smiled. Everything so far is going well.

I quickly rearrange my towels that I made sure were from the bathroom. They replaced them so many times I'm sure they lost count to how many I actually had. Thankfully I was able to arrange them correctly and it looked like a fairy was lying in my bed. Now it was time for me to make my escape through the ceiling tiles. Yes it wasn't very smart, but I found out from my healer that earlier in the day they were completely gutting the room above mine. The noise had woken me up that morning. It was great. I would be able to hopefully make my way up and be completely unnoticed. Especially since she said the entire floor above me was being remodeled.

Going through the floor was easy almost too easy. I peaked out the door to the floor and there wasn't anything or anyfairy in sight. I was home free. All I had to do was get out the door. Thank God that Ellie had forgotten a cloak from the Pole. I put the hood of the cloak up and walked out of the hospital. No one was of the wiser that I was missing. Now all I had to do was find Sandy.

Ellie was excited. Flutter 'ordered' a decree that Lex wasn't allowed outside her room. No one was allowed to see her. Sandy hadn't gone back to her in three days now! Ellie of course had sent Nick to hunt down the Guardian. Sandy had actually been planning his and Lex's wedding. He'd asked Flutter to make sure that Lex had stayed inside the room. There were guards to make sure that she'd be safe and wouldn't leave. Ellie was going in there today to get her ready and tell her the good news that everyone was allowed to visit. That even she was going to be discharged!

Ellie adjusted Chase on her hip. The little boy was more than happy to go to Lex. Ellie stopped at the healer's station first. "Is she up yet?" Ellie asked.

"No, I just looked in she's still sleeping. I was going to wake her, but the pregnancy made her tired last night. I figured with her big day today she could use the sleep."

"Thanks. Can I go in?"

"Sure."

Ellie walked into the room. She put Chase down on a chair and he played with one of the little figures that were in Lex's room. "LEX!" Ellie shouted. Nothing happened. "Lex!" Ellie poked the bed. "Lex?" Ellie tore off the covers of the bed. "Oh my jingle." Ellie looked at the empty bed. "She's gone." Ellie said knowing that she'd have to rally the troops to find the missing fairy. "I've got to have her teach me how to make it so realistic."
