Bella

Tuesday Morning...August 7, 2012

The sun coming through the blinds and hitting me directly in the eye, woke me up earlier than I wanted. Rolling over, I tried to go back to sleep for at least another hour, but it was no use. I was awake now and I needed to pee. With a groan, I climbed out of the bed and stumbled to the bathroom, taking care of what I needed to before starting the small coffee pot.

While it brewed, I grabbed my laptop to let it start booting up. Once I had coffee in hand, I sat down at the desk and pulled up Jasper's email. As I sipped from my cup I read…

Dear Bella,

I'll let you slide this time, but just know I have Mama Cullen on speed dial. :D

Is saying something is better in a different state than the one you were born, raised, and still live in considered blasphemy?

I don't think Emmett would have to piss Rose off for her to let or help us bury him. Hell, he would probably help us as much as he could because you know he would have fun with it and that's right up his alley.

All those places sound awesome. I haven't looked them up yet, but I will. I want to know what you're doing and what kind of fun you're having. Living vicariously through you, remember?

Hopefully, you'll be able to drive. It will get you out of the airport for a few days and you can see some of the beauty the south has to offer.

I haven't made a special trip yet, but I'll probably just wait until I go to the grocery store again. I forgot how much I hated it the first time and this second time reminded me just how much. I won't ever voluntarily go, if I can help it.

You've done something to disappoint Charlie? Please, tell me what it is. I need something to bring up later. LOL In all seriousness though, thank you for saying that and I have learned from my mistakes.

I'm glad you could amuse me too. And I need to see these pictures. I'd like to see you and Alice as little girls in the happiest place on Earth. Was it everything they say it is? I've never had the chance to go and always thought it would be fun. I'd also, and don't tell anyone I told you this, but would love to see the Harry Potter park at Universal.

I think I will keep the teasing to myself then. I don't want to have to force Charlie to do something that he would hopefully regret after the fact.

I do still have my dad's guitar and music. They're in my closet as I don't use them as much as I should. When you come home, I'll get them out for you so you can see them.

Peter can't sing a bit, and lord help any ears that are within listening distance if he tries to play an instrument. You can definitely tease him about it too, and if you want more ammunition just let me know. The shit I could tell you that Charlotte might not even know is extensive.

I don't know how you didn't know, but granted the only times we hung out for any length of time we weren't thinking about our musical abilities. I'd have to find a violin, but I can play you the song. It's Hallelujah and one of my all time favorites. It's the only reason I lasted as long as I did taking violin lessons. I wanted to learn it and as soon as I did, I was done.

I really shouldn't promote cheating, but I won't tell if you won't. :)

Now onto your answers and mine.

I would have never guessed you wanted to try surfing. As someone who has tried it, and I put an emphasis on tried, it does require patience and balance, but also a little bit of luck. I was only able to stand up once and only for a few seconds, but it was fun. Peter actually knows how and is pretty good at it. All you'd have to do is ask and I'm sure he'd give you a lesson.

Okay, I'm still laughing at number two. Not just because of the whole peeing thing, but because Charlie watches Friends. That is unexpected and completely hilarious. Does he still watch it? Any other shows he might be embarrassed by if anyone ever found out he watched them? I will keep your secret though. I've heard they can be very painful and I'm sorry you had to go through that. How did you manage to get the pain to stop?

Now, number three...is it wrong that thinking of you doing that now turns me on a little bit? And I think you might have to show me when you get home. :D

Alright, let's move onto my answers and funnily enough they keep to the same theme as yours.

Number one is I've always wanted to skydive. However, I don't think I ever actually could as heights freak me the hell out. I can't even go up on a ladder. but, like you, just the thought of how it must feel to be free and soaring above everything has me thinking about it sometimes.

Now with number two, I can't pull the same promise from you about not telling Peter and Emmett. Peter knows as he's the reason behind it and one day it will come out to the others if he gets to drinking. Okay, be prepared to laugh...ready? He once talked me into, bribed, and paid me to dress up like a girl just to make Charlotte jealous. You're laughing, aren't you? It's okay, I can now, but at the time I did nothing but complain. It was a few months after they'd started dating and she'd gotten a call from an ex boyfriend. He wasn't even in the same state as her and she didn't even like him anymore, but Peter being Peter got mad and said something stupid. She broke up with him and wouldn't talk to him for a good two weeks. That's when he came to me and told me what he wanted to do. I'd said no at first, pointed out every other girl he could get to do it, but he said it wouldn't work as he'd already asked them and they didn't want to cross Charlotte. So, a few days later, his paycheck for a week and his car keys for the next two weeks in my pocket, I was dressed in a wig, makeup, dress, and heels-painful fuckers. I will go ahead and tell you before you ask, no there are no pictures and no, it didn't work in the conventional sense. All Charlotte had to do was look at me to know who I was and then she'd spent ten minutes laughing her ass off. However, it did show her that Peter cared enough to try something like that and the rest is history.

Okay, as you're laughing I'll go ahead and move on to number three. I can tie a cherry stem with just my tongue. That sobered you up, didn't it? LOL It took me forever to finally do it, and I don't even remember now why I tried to do it the first time, but it's one of my many talents. I tend not to tell people as they always want you to show them, but I know you'll want to see so I will show you.

Alright, that is it for those. I'll move on to your bonus question now. I look like dad the most. I have his height, hair color, and features but my eyes are the same as my mom's, although hers were a little lighter.

Okay, my question for you. If you couldn't be a photographer, what would you be?

I think if I couldn't be a music teacher or anything having to do with music, I think I might have become a police officer or firefighter. Typical guy answer, I know, but it is what it is.

And that's it for this email. I can't wait for you to get home and I'll see you soon. Talk to you later.

Sincerely, Jasper

P.s. I keep forgetting to call Charlotte, but I will soon.

P.P.S.-jawn;gaenhoijotaengeamg[pakmh]ps,bwsrba9rs9-Aiden saying hi.

ngladnosdndovsnfnwosfvoisnofsoi-Kinsley saying hi.

I was smiling at the nice surprise at the end and immediately hit reply and started on the return email. I was done fairly quickly and hit send before shutting my laptop down. Once the screen went black, I put it away and headed into the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Wednesday Afternoon...August 8, 2012

"So, we'll meet at six in the lobby, sound good?" Tia asked as we stepped off the elevator.

"Sounds like a plan," I said, before turning and heading toward my room.

As I unlocked the door I yawned, exhaustion hitting me. It was only two in the afternoon, but we'd been on the go since seven.

Kicking my shoes off, I grabbed a bottle of water from the mini bar and moved over to my computer. A nap was in order, but first I wanted to call Jasper and the twins in case I overslept.

I pulled up Skype and clicked his name, letting it ring through.

He answered after just a few rings and I couldn't help but laugh as I heard the twins yelling.

"Hey," I said when his face popped up.

"Hey yourself," he said. "You're early again today. Another night time photo session?"

"It's more like the second half of the photo session. We've been on the move since seven and still have a few hours to go."

"Shit, what have you been doing since seven?"

"Well, after breakfast we had to meet up with the GM of Stone Mountain, who gave us a golf cart tour of the park. Then we hiked a mile up to the top of the mountain for some pictures before hiking back down. That was followed by walking around the park taking pictures before it opened to the public. Once it did, we took the train all the way around before hiking one of the nature trails and taking a tour of the Antebellum Plantation."

"Hell, you've done more than most people do in a week."

"I know and we still have dinner and the laser show to go before we're done. Thankfully, there's time for a nap which is what I'm going to do as soon as I hang up with you."

The twins yelled then, stopping him from responding and he shook his head as he glanced somewhere off screen.

"Have they been like that all morning?" I asked with a laugh.

"Yes," he said, looking back to me. "They're in a fighting mood today."

"Why? What are they doing?"

He turned the computer so I could see as he answered, "They keep taking each others toys away. If Kinsley picks something up, Aiden wants it and vice versa. It's hilarious because they'll play tug of war, yelling at each other until something else catches their attention and they go for it. And this is after they had a food fight at breakfast."

"Seriously?" I asked, wishing I could have seen that.

"Yep, there were Cheerios and eggs everywhere. I don't know if they even managed to eat anything. It was so bad I had to give them a bath and change them afterwards."

"Oh man, I miss them." I said as I watched them start a tug of war over a plastic hammer.

"Twelve and a half more days." Jasper said, making me smile.

"I know, I'm keeping count now too." I said.

"Good," he said with a smile.

"So, how is your Wednesday? You know, other than the fighting." I asked after a moment.

"Not bad. It's pouring, so we're staying in today. I need to still get some things together before Monday and email the band members just to make sure they remember the change, but other than that we have no plans."

"How does that work?" I asked.

"What?"

"Band camp." I answered.

"Oh," he said realizing what I meant. "Well, for all of next week we'll be practicing what we'll be doing during halftime of the football games. The first two days we'll go through it over and over again for four hours straight and in it's entirety without stopping. The last three days we'll start tweaking, making sure everyone has their part down and knows where they're supposed to be. We've only got, I believe 5 new members, so it shouldn't be too hard to get them up to where the others are."

"That doesn't sound too bad. What happens once the week is over?"

"Then we go to three days a week practices. Monday and Wednesday we practice for two hours and Thursday for only an hour. Those days are filled with technique and learning the school song we play in the stands. Once the school year starts less time will be spent on that and more on the halftime songs as well as the Christmas program we do once the season is over. Then once the second semester starts it goes to just one day a week practice to keep them from getting rusty as we don't do competitions."

"And then you give them a break once summer starts." I said.

"Yep. That keeps them from getting bored."

"What song are you guys doing for halftime this year?"

"Actually, we do excerpts from 4 different songs at home games and only two of them at away games."

"Ahhh, how do you chose the songs?" I asked.

"We pick a theme the year before and all the songs fall under that. This year it's alternative rock so the four songs are It's Time by Imagine Dragons, Burn it Down by Linkin Park, Shake it Out by Florence and the Machines, and We Are Young by Fun."

"Oh, good choices. I love all of them and will definitely be taking in at least one football game."

"I'm going to hold you to that."

"K," I said, grinning.

He smiled back before he said, "Hey, Bella?"

"Yeah?" I said

"Can you show me the fist thing?"

I choked on the mouthful of water I'd just drank and covered my mouth so it wouldn't go all over my computer. Coughing, I gave him the evil eye as he laughed.

Once I stopped trying to hack up a lung, I said, "You ass."

Still chuckling, he said, "Sorry, but I can't believe you didn't expect it to come up in this conversation."

"I actually forgot about it," I said, coughing one last time.

"Will you show me though?" He asked, fighting a grin.

"Do you have any cherry stems?" I asked, letting him know I'd read his email.

"Not at the moment," he said.

"Well, then no. When you can show me yours, I'll show you mine."

"Be prepared then because I'll be making a trip to the store before the next Skype call."

"Okay," I said before having to cover my yawn.

"You need to take a nap," he said, growing serious.

"I do," I said and looked over his shoulder to where the twins were now fighting over a ball. "Give them a kiss and hug for me."

"I will," he said. "Talk to you in a few days?"

"Of course," I answered. "Good luck with them."

"Thanks." he said, glancing over at the twins briefly.

"Bye, Jasper," I said after a moment.

"Bye, Bella," he said and then with a small wave he was gone.

I shook my head at him as I stood up and moved over to the bed, falling on top of the covers. As I got comfortable and closed my eyes I couldn't stop the smile from spreading across my face. A decision might not be as hard to make as I thought.
