Love In Lockup-Ch 25
Derek looked at Penelope and said, "t t triplets, did she say triplets'?, Penelope wordlessly nodded her head yes and the doctor said, "yes triplets as in three of them". They both turned and looked at the screen and they couldn't help but smile as the doctor pointed at the screen and said, "this one is a little boy and this one is a little girl and number 3 is a boy".
Penelope said, "2 boys and a little girl"?, the doctor said, "yes and they seem to be doing great but with you carrying three babies you really need to take it easy from now on". Derek said, "what do you mean, is she in danger"?, she shook her head and said, "oh no not really danger but she could go into labor at any time and with her bring 7 months along I'd say that she will definitley go into labor early".
Derek said, "can we have 2 copies of that please"?, she grinned as she made the copies and handed them to the proud parents, Penelope then wiped the gel off of her stomach and said, "I can't wait to tell everybody about the babies, I can't believe it, we're going to have triplets". Derek swallowed hard and said, "that means we really need to get the nursery ready and soon".
She nodded her head in agreement and said, "definitley", he said, "don't worry I'll call a few friends over and we'll have the nursery done in no time", he then helped her raise up. She kissed his lips gently and said, "thank you hotstuff", he said, "anytime gorgeous, anytime", the doctor said, "I know that the two of you are getting married tomorrow but I want you to please take it easy, not a lot of walking and definitley no lifting".
He said, "don't worry she won't do anything", Penelope winked at him and said, "I'll be a good girl", she rubbed her hand over her stomach and said, "I won't do anything to put the babies in danger". The doctor smiled and said, "well from now on I want to see you every week", she nodded her head and said, "will do doc", Derek said,
"come on sweetness let's go and get you and the babies a milkshake".
The doctor grinned as she watched Derek and Penelope walk out of the room hand in hand and something told her that she would be seeing Penelope very very soon for an early delivery. Meanwhile as the happy couple walked out toward the car Penelope said, "triplets, I can't believe it", Derek grinned and said, "2 little boys and a little girl".
Penelope said, "we'll have to get three of everything", he said, "momma and Dave are gonna flip when they find out we're having triplets", Penelope said, "I am still finding it hard to believe myself, last year I was alone and now I'm getting married and having triplets". Derek opened her car door and said, "a lot can happen in the course of a year for sure", she nodded her head in agreement as he shut the door and walked around to the drivers side.
The ride back to the BAU was filled with them both discussing names, since they had three children to name they were throwing out names left and right, Derek laughed and said, "there is no way I'm naming one of our boys Orelaous". Penelope said, "but it's not a normal name, their isn't many out there", he said, "if we name one of our kids that he would end up getting his butt kicked everyday at school and we don't want that now do we"?, she sighed and said, "I guess not".
When they stepped off the elevator the team looked up and saw them walking toward the bullpen and JJ said, "welllll"?, Penelope said, "well let's just say that we were both surprised at what we heard at the doctor". Dave crossed his arms and said, "surprised how"?, Derek looked at his future bride and then they looked at their family and said in unison, "TRIPLETS".
JJ and Emily squealed as they hugged their friends, Hotch, Reid and Dave were all smiling and laughing as they pulled Derek into a conversation about completing the nursery. Penelope glanced over her shoulder and winked at Derek as he blew her a kiss, JJ said, "you are going to make great parents", she said, "do you really think so"?, the girls in unison said, "YESSSSS".
Dave put his hand on Dereks shoulder and said, "congratulations son that's amazing news, your mom is gonna flip out", he laughed and said, "that's what I told baby girl on the way here". Dave looked at his watch and said, "how about we call it quits for today and all head to my house"?, Hotch said, "sounds like a celebration is in order".
Dave said, "it isn't everyday that me and Fran are gonna be grandparents to triplets soooooo party at casa Rossi", everybody grabbed their things and headed toward the elevators laughing and talking about the wedding and the nursery.
