The black dressed charmed ones and slayers, were walking through San Francisco streets, knowing that their counterparts were in Sunnydale just as they were before crossing over to this world.

"This looks so… cheerful," Piper said with distaste looking around.

"Not so different from the Underworld in our reality," Phoebe added.

"Charmed ones and Slayers working for good," Paige shook her head, "hard to believe it."

"Gotta say tho, I'm curious about meeting my other self, my guess is if I was good for a while, this Faith must had been bad, that's five by five," Faith said with a grin.

"We've all been tempted by good at some point, so our counterparts must had been bad every once in a while," Buffy said.

"So what do we do now," Phoebe wondered out loud.

"Well, Prue said that only by being here the balance would shift to evil's side, so I guess we wait and see," Piper replied.

Faith scoffed, "we could have fun while being here," she separated herself from the group and without second thought she entered a random store, less than a minute later she came out running, an alarm buzzing behind her and the beaten up owner of the store screaming "stop her!"

The five ran towards an alley and black orbed right into the empty manor.

"We have to be subtle Faith!" Buffy told her once they were in the attic.

"What for B! we came to change things didn't we?" Faith said while counting the bills she just stole.

Meanwhile, in Sunnydale, the gang decided that instead of waiting for the First to attack, they would attack first now before other enemies replaced Caleb or the Source.

"It's a huge step," Giles said in thought.

"If you're going to do that, you need a plan, a good one," Leo said.

"I've been thinking," Buffy said, she was the only one who was stood up, "maybe we could use the Scythe somehow, not only in a slice and dice way, but its energy, Faith and I feel it, it's there, so all we have to do is tap into it, Chris said that in the future Willow used its energy to become stronger, so we can do it too."

"And how would that help us?" Piper asked her.

"Well, I was made this sort of super slayer," Buffy looked neutrally at Willow, "maybe the essence of the Scythe will do that to you too, maybe give you slayer strength."

"This isn't a guessing game," Chris interrupted, "you have to be sure what the Scythe's effect will have before tapping into its power."

"This might not be totally a guess," Willow said, "I… the Source wanted it because of the power, not only the weapon itself."

"And what did you wanted to do with that power?" Anya asked bluntly, "what more power did the Source need, honestly, with the whole demon community at your service, being physically stronger seems useless."

Willow sighed, "I wanted it to use it with all the potential Slayers, modify that Slayer's power so that when another one is called, she would work for me," she said ashamed.

"Is that even possible?" Paige asked her.

Willow shrugged, "the Source thought so."

Just then, the phone rang, quietly Dawn stood up to answer it.

"Do you think you can access that power?" Buffy asked looking at Willow and the Halliwells.

"We'll look into it," Paige said.

"Buffy, it's for you," Dawn said, holding the phone, "it's Angel," she said with some worry unsure of what might be happening in L.A.

"Angel?" Buffy said over the phone once she took it, everyone looked at her, some worried, some unsure but all watching with attention, "I'll be right there," Buffy said after a beat and hung up.

"He has something that might help us," Buffy told the others sounding hopeful, "I have to go."

"Ok, in the meantime we'll research about the essence of the Scythe," Piper said, Buffy nodded and orbed.

In L.A. Buffy appeared in Angel's office, at the Hyperion.

"Hey," Angel greeted, he seemed tired, and frowned when he saw Buffy orbed alone, "how did you get here?"

"I can orb now… when Willow was the Source she empowered me and freed my magical powers," Buffy explained vaguely, "she's not the Source anymore by the way," she added.

"Yeah, I heard, most demons are unorganized, but unfortunately other demon leaders are regrouping their clans," Angel replied.

"We'll deal with them," Buffy said.

"Don't worry, we'll have it covered, Buffy there are some things you should know," Angel said with a serious tone, the Slayer sat down in front of his desk, facing Angel face to face, "Darla was brought back to life, she was human, but just as she originally was before the Master turned her, she was dying."

"That's good isn't it?" Buffy interrupted.

"It's not as simple, she redeemed herself, she was ready to move on but Drusilla turned her, they wanted me to lose my soul and get Spike back, but Spike was nowhere to be found," he stopped and took an unnecessary breath, "I didn't lose my soul, but Darla and I had a son."

Buffy was speechless for some minutes until finally she spoke, "a son," she said slowly, "is that even possible? Are you sure it didn't happened when she was still human?" she asked confused.

"I know it's hard to believe but it happened."

"And where are him and Darla?"

Angel sighed, "Darla, as I said, looked for redemption, and in the end she staked herself so that Connor could live, but Holtz, an old enemy we had the last century was brought back too, and he took Connor away," the vampire said full of anger, "he took him through a portal to a place called Quor'toth."

"Maybe the sisters can help you get there," Buffy suggested but Angel interrupted.

"Wolfram & Hart offered us a deal, to take control of the L.A. branch and its resources."

"But, Wolfram & Hart are the enemy, you can't be considering the offer."

"That's why I wanted to talk to you, their resources not only can help me find out how to get Connor back, but also can help you with the Hellmouth."

Buffy listened carefully to him, "how can it help?"

"Lilah gave me this, as a way to persuade me into taking the offer," Angel pushed a manila envelope through the desk and placed it in front of Buffy.

She took out a necklace with a stone and some files, she read a couple of words with a frown.

"Fred is working on the translation," Angel said, "she thinks this is a key piece against the Hellmouth.

"You should ask Wes to translate it, might be faster," Buffy said, her eyes glued to the stone in her hands, she sensed how Angel tensed and turned to look at him, "what's wrong?"

"It was his fault that Holtz took Connor, Wesley kidnapped my son."

"What?... but why?"

"He thought I was going to kill my son," Angel said, still angry.

"Why would he think that?" Buffy asked but Angel didn't reply, "I can ask Giles to help Fred with the translation," Buffy added, Angel nodded lightly.

"Will you take Wolfram and Hart's offer?" the Slayer asked softly.

"To get my son back yes."

Buffy didn't judge, she knew she would do the same in his place, specially if it were for a son.

"I'll go get Giles," Buffy stood up with the files and the necklace in her hands, "thank you Angel, and I really hope you get Connor back."

She was about to orb when Fred softly knocked on Angel's door, "sorry to interrupt but, I got the whole translation," she said, handing a folder to Angel.

"That's great, thank you Fred," Buffy told her.

"Not all credit is mine," Fred replied "I sent a copy to Wesley," she added barely audible but both Angel and Buffy heard her.

Angel simply by hearing the name of his former friend got angry, Buffy sighed and took the folder from Angel's hands, she quickly went through what seemed more important and something caught her attention.

"Angel, look," she said and pointed to part of the text.

"Champion… ensouled stronger than a human," he read bits, "as in me."

"Or me," Buffy added, "or Spike."

"Spike?" Angel asked surprised.

"He has a soul now," Buffy said carefully, waiting for Angel's reaction.

"Oh," he simply replied, shifting uncomfortably on his feet, "is he a Champion for the powers?" Angel asked not looking at her, Buffy remained silent, he kept reading, "I won't let you wear this," he said, "vanishes everything, I don't want you to risk yourself."

"It shouldn't be you, or else how are you going to find your son?" Buffy said, Angel said nothing, "also, if we fail and the First defeats us, I want to be sure you'll fight it."

"Fine," Angel said, "I'll work on the second front, just make sure I don't have to use it."

Buffy nodded "I'll see if the sisters can find a way to where Connor is, or with many whitelighters and an Elder under the same roof something can come up," she said and after receiving a soft thanks from Angel she orbed away.

Buffy got back to Sunnydale and soon plans were made, Tara helped Willow to control magic, the readheaded was afraid that by using it the First would control her just as the Source did, but now luckily for her, Tara was always helping her.

Giles, as requested by Buffy, researched all he could about Quor'Toth, hoping to find anything useful.

Darryl called the sisters the next day, he told them that he was attacked by Buffy when he was trying to arrest a woman she called Faith.

The sisters along with Faith and Buffy went to San Francisco to clear things.

"Why were you even trying to arrest Faith?" Paige asked Darryl once they were with him at the manor, "she was clear of all charges."

"Look," Darryl spoke in a rush, "I didn't know she had charges, and I don't care, but yesterday she stole from different places and police is looking for her, she's described as violent and dangerous."

"Great, I was just free and now I'm wanted again," Faith said with annoyance, "it wasn't me!" she told Darryl.

"What happened exactly? Are you sure you saw her? I mean, she's been at Sunnydale the whole time," Phoebe said.

"You look different than the one I saw yesterday," Darryl said looking to Faith, "we got an alert about a sports store that was being robbed, I was the first to the scene and saw you," he got a stare from Faith, "a woman," he amended, "running out the store carrying a hunting rifle and a bag, I chased and when I was about to handcuff her, I was tackled, and I'm sure Buffy tackled me, she called the other woman Faith and told her to leave and after that I was knocked out by you," Darryl finished looking to Buffy.

"Sounds like the old us," Faith said with a light grin looking at Buffy, remembering the time they were caught stealing and got arrested."

"Maybe another robot?" Buffy shrugged, "who hasn't had an evil twin roaming around, ask Willow or Xander, they've been through this too," Buffy babbled trying to think of what might be.

"We'll look into it, find out what's happening," Piper told Darryl, "if you see them please let us know so we can face them."

"Ok, you got it," Darryl said and headed to the door and to his surprise, he saw not only Buffy and Faith leaned over his car parked right in the front, they were joined by Piper, Phoebe and Paige as well.

"Uhm… girls!" he called back looking to the manor. The sisters and Slayers came rushing to the door.

"Oh… my… goodness!" Phoebe said shocked, staring at the five in front of them.

"Not exactly," replied the black dressed Phoebe.
