Chapter 24: Loved and Chased! Luna's Worst Day Ever

"You sure got dragged into a terrible mess." Ami sweatdropped, Luna nursing her tail in the water fountain.

"No kidding." The feline sighed. "I've got nothing to do with turf wars among stray cats."

"Thanks for waiting." Makoto greeted, arriving with Usagi. "Where's Rei?"

"She said she wanted to go on a date because it's Sunday." Ami replied.

"What in the world are you doing?" Makoto wondered, seeing Ami typing furiously at her handheld computer.

"I'm looking for the seventh Nijizuishou." Ami replied.

"The Moon Stick hasn't responded at all." Usagi noted.

"That's why they're using the computer to narrow down where the seventh crystal might be." Luna deathpanned. "We finally have the data to do that. The data input is finished." She heard the computer beep. "This is where the seventh Nijizuishou must be." She added, the sensor centering on a building.

"So the Nijizuishou is somewhere near that house?" Usagi noted.

"It should be." Ami remarked.

"Let's go." Makoto suggested.

"I'll just wait here." Luna stated, having spotted Rhett Butler at the window.

"I'm sorry to bother you." Ami stated, Ann having answered the door. "Is your mother or father at home?"

"Both of them won't be home until the evening." Ann replied.

"The Stick is responding." Usagi gaped. "That little girl is a youma?"

"You can't!" Ann wailed, chasing after Rhett Butler who had struggling out of her grasp.

"Now, time to take the Nijizuishou." Zoisite grinned, having knocked Ann unconscious and summoned the Black Crystal. "Why isn't the Nijizuishou appearing?" he was stunned when the crystal did not manifest. "So, that ugly cat is the youma." He realized. "The final great youma isn't reborn as a human."

"That's as far as you go!" Sailor Moon declared. "In the name of the moon, I will punish you!"

"I changed my mind." Zoisite relented. "I'm too busy to play with you guys." With that, he vanished.

"There's a cartridge of the Sailor V game over here." Usagi spotted the game cartridge on the ground, the girls having taken Ann back to her house.

"Right when Zoisite could be back any moment to attack us." Makoto sighed.

"But I can't believe such a little girl has a Nijizuishou." Ami noted. "The Moon Stick isn't responding!" she gasped, taking a look at the Moon Stick. "Why didn't I notice this earlier?"

"That means this girl isn't involved." Makoto reasoned. "Then, why was it responding earlier? Could it be…"

"It was responding to that cat." Ami realized the same thing.

"It's game over!" Usagi wailed.

"It's Luna." Rei spotted the cat by the river. "With her boyfriend, I see. Well, great for her. What is that?" she exclaimed, the horde of rats flooding out of the sewers.

"Turn a misfortune into a blessing." Zoisite declared. "All's well that ends well, I guess." He peered out of the mice horde.

"Fire Soul!" Sailor Mars' fireball forced Zoisite back "I'm a pretty Sailor Senshi of love and justice, Sailor Mars. The fire of passion is burning. The fire of justice is burning. In the name of Mars, Sailor Mars will chastise you."

"You are such a dummy." Zoisite chuckled.

"Consider the situation before you start posing!" Luna scolded, Zoisite pulling out the Black Crystal.

"This time, I will be sure to take the Nijizuishou." Zoisite swore and extracted the violet Nijizuishou. "Now, finish them off, great youma."

"The last Nijizuishou is mine." Tuxedo Kamen swooped down to claim the last crystal.

"It's heading towards the town." Sailor Mars gaped, Bakene walking off.

"No!" Luna protested. "Please stay there." She pleaded. "I'll get you back to the way you were as soon as possible, I promise." Before shrinking back when the youma growled and slipped off the slope.

Bakene reached out to cushion the cat's fall.

"Shabon Spray!" Sailor Mercury's fog roared in.

Sailor Jupiter took the chance to slide and grab Luna.

"What were you doing?" Sailor Mars chided. "You're late."

"Moon Healing Stardust!" Sailor Moon cast her healing spell, reverting Bakene back to his original form.
