The poem in this chapter was originally written by Edgar Allan Poe.

"Lady Terra, Prince Loki requests you presence in the library" "Understood, thank you."Terra smiled to the servant and he was gone. Terra changed into something more comfortable then headed for the library.

"Loki?" she felt a gust of wind and then the door slammed shut, leaving her feeling alone in the dimly lit library "Loki this isn't funny" she looked around for any sign of her fiance then turned around to face the sing table in the room.

"Loki Odinson, come out here right now!" next thing she knew hands were over her eyes "Guess who" his voice was like velvet to her ears "You wished to see me?" she said placing her small hands on top of his, he moved his hands down to her waist and wrapped them around.

"I wish to read you something I wrote about you." H led her to the large table and pulled the chair out for her, once she sat down he pushed her chair in and sat down next to her.

Pulling out a piece of parchment paper he unfolded the pages and began to read:

"Sit down beside me, Terra

here,dearest where the moonbeam fell

just now so fairy-like and well."

Terra smiled at Loki as he read.

"Now though art dressed for paradise!

I am star stricken with thine eyes!

My soul is lolling on thy sighs!

Thy hair is lifted by the moon

Like flowers by the low breath of June!

Sit down, sit down-how came we here?

Or is it all but a dream my dear?"

his green eyes found hers and they shared a simple moment of smiles.

"Let me continue?" "But of course, do not let me stop you."

"You know that most enormous flower-

That rose-that what d' ye call it-that hung

up like a dog-star in this bower-

today the wind blew and it swung

so impudently in my face

so like a thing alive you know,

I tore it from its pride of place

and shook it into pieces-so

be all ingratitude requited

the winds ran off with it delighted,

and, thro the opening left, as soon

As she threw off her cloak, Yon moon

has sent a ray down with a tune."

Loki looked up at her again searching for any signs she did not love the poem but she just smiled and urged him to go on.

"And this ray is a fairy ray-

did you not say so, Terra?

How fantastically it fell

with a spiral twist and swell

and over the wet grass rippled way

with a tinkling like a bell!

In my own country all the way

we can discover a moon ray

which thro' some tatter'd curtain pries

into the darkness of a room

is by the very source of gloom

The motes, the dust, and flies

on which it trembles and lies

Like joy upon sorrow!

O, When will come the morrow?

Terra! do you not fear

The night and wonders here?

Dim vales! and Shadowy floods!

And cloudy-looking woods

whose forms we can't discover

For the tears that drip all over."

Terra had formed a small ball of light in her hands and was playing with it as he read.

"Huge moons-see wax and wane

again-again-again

every moment of night-

forever changing places!

How they put out the starlight

with the breath from their pale faces.

Lo! one is coming down

with its centre on the crown

of mountains eminence!

Down-still down-and down-

now deep shall be-O deep!

The passion of of our sleep!

For that wide circumference

In easy drapery falls

drowsily over halls

over ruined walls

over waterfalls..

Silent waterfalls

O'er the strange woods-O'er the sea-

Alas over the sea."

"That was beautiful Loki, and you actually wrote this?"

he smiled and took her hands in his "Yes I was inspired one night and it just sort of came out, as you humans say" Terra smacked him upside the head "Loki in case you forgot, i'm not exactly human."he laughed.

"Yes yes I know" he ruffled her hair then took her hands "I must go now, father wishes us to speak about the marriage ceremony next week, it will be grand" Terra smiled and he disappeared.

"Well I suppose I should get some things done, I still haven't had my dress fit."

and with that she walked out of the library.
