Chapter 24 – Unexpected Events

Author Note – The only characters are the ones I made up. Of course, if I could borrow Derek Hale -Tyler Hoechilin- I would be even more happy but I don't think he would like that much. Or may be he will! Oh well my dreams will have to stay a dream for now onto the before the next chapter. If I mess things up, tell me.

Note – I'm Back! In my story Beacon Hills is located in Northern California. Between Redding & Eureka. Also in this chapter, I will be guessing Renee's maiden name. It was before she was married to Charlie or Phil. ALSO...I have another story in the works, :). I don't really know Kira's parents names thus I am making them up. XD! Kira's mother is going to be Kitsuki, Kitsune Moon. LOL! Kira's father's name is going to be Chan. I hope that is a little helpful. Now onward!

(Bella's Pov – The Next Day – 8:00 AM – Hale's New Home)

Everyone was worried about what would happen when Caius arrived but I was guaranteed that he would be on his best behavior. Of course, Jasper came back last night only to find that Alice was in another shorter version, of the vision, that caused the major to come out, which he did again. The vampires in the group went out to hunt while I had my meal brought to me. The Denali's decided to sit this one out while Caius was staying here and headed back north, saying that they would dispatch any werepires, vampires or werewolves along the way. I could understand that they didn't want to get involved with the Volturi. They had to many bad memories there. Allison, Scott, Issac, Aiden, Lydia, Stiles and Ethan all took off to school since it was still in session.

I could tell that Scott didn't want to leave but Derek was here along with Jake, Cora, Seth and Bree. Cora, Leah and Bree was sitting with me as we checked out the channels. The vegetarian vampires headed out and decided it was breakfast time. Rosalie and Emmett took off with them saying that Rosalie also needed to feed before Caius arrived. Deucalion was hiding somewhere not wanting to get involved because of the fact Caius was coming. He did tell me that he would be close by. Since Jasper needed to hunt, he took Alice with him but not before letting me know that he was shocked I wanted to fight the major. I just told him I had always wanted to meet the infamous Major of the southern vampire wars, of course then Jasper told me I was crazy. Although everyone else there said I was completely insane to want to fight the Major.

"You ok?" Cora asked as she looked me over. "You look rather pale to me and more then normal." She frowned as she felt my forehead. "Have you drank anything today? Are you feeling thirsty?"

I thought about it for a moment and realized I was thirsty. "Yeah, I guess I am." I chuckled about to get up. "I'll be right back. There are some blood bags in the refrigerator that Scott and Derek and Deaton bring over."

"I'll get it." Leah snorted as she jumped up before I could move and headed into the kitchen. Bree stiffened so I placed a barrier around her to keep her calm.

"Thanks." She whispered as she looked down at the ground then forced herself to look up at Cora and I. "I guess I'm not as good as the others." I could tell she hated being a newborn.

"Don't worry about it." I told her thinking of Rosalie and Alice. "Even Rosalie said she wasn't very graceful when she was a newborn and you are doing really good. Even Jasper said you were doing good and he should know. He did raise newborns in his army."

"Is that were he got his bite marks?" Bree asked biting her lip. "I've noticed them but I've been afraid to ask."

"I think that he got them in his battles in the southern wars." I told her honestly because he wouldn't tell me the entire story. "And your right, he doesn't like to talk about it. Peter and Charlotte were also there, you could always ask one of them." Smiling over at her, I could see that she was nervous about something else.

"Ok." Bree nodded as she sighed leaning back on the couch.

I could suddenly feel humor being pushed towards me and turned to see that Jasper was standing there with a smirk on his face. Was this the reason Bree stiffened? I smirked and cocked my head to the side.

"Is there a problem?" I asked seeing his eyes sparkle as Alice walked up beside him rolling her eyes.

"Will you guys stop?" She growled playfully at me as she slapped his arm. "You're so bad Mister Whitlock." Alice was baring her teeth as Jasper snarled back.

"Is dat a challenge, Mrs. Whitlock?" I could see the Major coming out and gagged about what they would be doing shortly.

Alice squealed as she ran out of the room and I heard her foot falls head into the room he took her to the night before. I shook my head seeing that Derek, Jake, Seth and Deucalion were all standing there in the door way with Rosalie and Emmett with a stunned look on their face. Peter and Charlotte were shaking their heads as they all headed over and took a seat with their mates on their laps. Jake scooped Cora up and sat down next to Derek as I ended up in his lap since Scott wasn't here. I noticed that Rosalie looked more relax then she had in a long time and Emmett had a stupid grin on his face. I could only shutter at what they had been doing but I didn't need to say anything as Alice spoke up from upstairs.

"Emmett!" She screamed as I heard clothes tearing. "Will you stop deciding to fuck Rosalie and do it already!"

Everyone chuckled in the room as Rosalie slapped Emmett and went over to sit next to Bree and Seth. I shook my head as I noticed that Peter was thinking about something rather hard. Derek also looked in thought as the door opened and Charlie walked in with Stilinski and Chris right behind him. I wondered what that was all about when Alice and Jasper appeared looking rather upset about being interrupted. That's when I noticed that Caius, Felix, Jane and another female with flaming red hair but hers had black streaks running through out the red. I heard and felt Derek growl under me as he realized the female looked almost like Victoria. Felix moved in front of the petite female as soon as the growl came out of Derek's mouth. Caius waved his hand and turned his eyes to me.

"Faia will not harm anyone." I could see something in them that I hadn't seen before. "She is Felix's mate and to kill her would also mean his death. You do remember that, right Ms. Swan?" Caius smirked, something that sent shivers down my spine and caused Derek to growl louder then another snarl came into the room.

Deucalion arrived as his red eyes were locked on Caius. "Watch who ya growl at Leech." His teeth snapped as he moved around until he stood behind me and close to Charlie. "Or do I need to teach you another lesson?"

I was sitting back trying not to laugh because they were acting like children instead of someone over the age of 100. I could see that Alice was looking at me while Jasper looked rather pissed. Peter's eyes were wide as his arms were wrapped protectively around Charlotte. Just as I cut my eyes back over to where Jasper had Alice in his arms, Alice was sitting in his chair while he had Caius by the throat and Jane was withering in pain on the ground. I wondered if Jane could hurt Jasper but at this time, I didn't think it was Jasper but more like the Major with the look of terror on Peter's face. Seeing that they were ruining my wall, I was up and beside them in a split second. Derek was trying to get to me but Deucalion was holding him back as Charlie tried to talk me down.

"Jasper!" I screamed close to his ear. "Caius, you both better settle down or you'll have one pissed of pregnant WEREPIRE on your hands!" My eyes were dark as I locked them on the both of them.

The Major dropped Caius and turned to me with narrowed eyes. "Werepire..."

"Vampire." I hissed back in warning. "This is my house and my rules go, Major." I snapped eyes flashing violet as I felt Derek behind me.

"Fine." He hissed as he was in his seat and Alice on his lap in a second.

I nodded as I turned to Caius. Just as I was about to lay into him, Derek pulled me out of the way as Felix tried to grab me. The next thing I knew, I was standing behind Jake as Felix tried to get past Derek. I snarled and snapped Jake's arm, getting by my friend and latched onto Felix neck as he grabbed Derek from behind and pinned his arms at his side. Felix howled but he couldn't get me off without letting Derek go. As soon as his venom ran low, he had to drop Derek because even his own weight was to much for him to handle as he crumpled to the floor. I leap back and saw that Derek was right there to catch me when I landed. Jane had her eyes narrowed at me but I just smirked because her little gift didn't work. Caius snarled and snapped his teeth both Felix and Jane stopped what they were doing and bowed their head.

"Sit the fuck down." Chris said as he walked through the door with Charlie behind him. "We're all here for the same thing."

Caius snarled as he spotted Chris. "Hunter."

"Vampire." Chris smirked sitting close to Leah and Jake. Charlie came closer to where I was sitting with Derek.

"Will you all shut the fuck up?" I snapped really getting tired of all the yelling and snarling.

"May I say something?" Faia spoke up as she looked around the room.

"Go ahead." Felix told her standing behind her. I could see she was rather scared.

"I am two years old so you don't have to worry about me attacking one of your human friends." She spoke softly for a vampire. "The only reason you may worry is if I meet my singer."

Rosalie darted her eyes away from Faia and Leah. "You don't need to worry about meeting your singer." She nodded towards me. "Bella will keep you from attacking the person, unless your feeding."

All eyes went to me and I couldn't help but shrug. "Chris is my singer and Leah's mate, Stiles, is Rosalie's singer."

There were gasps all around the room. "And you haven't killed them?" Jane asked finally speaking instead of glaring. "I was shocked that Edward didn't kill Bella when we found out she was his."

"You were someone's singer, and you live?" Faia asked in a shocked tone. "I have never seen that happen."

"It's a rare case." Deucalion spoke as he kept his eyes on Caius.

"We need ta work on what we're gonna do." Peter spoke up as his eyes went to each person in the room. "With Caius, Jane, Felix and Faia here, things have turned into a different direction."

Alice shook her head. "It's still the same." She looked at Peter. "The only difference is that Devin has contacted me and told me they will be moving up the sneak attack."

"When?" Derek asked from under me. I could hear his deep voice vibrate through my body.

"Tomorrow." Alice cringed as she saw Derek's eyes flash to a red color.

(Volterra, Italy – Volturi's Castle, Marcus' Bed Room)

Marcus slid his hand down Esme's naked arm as they lay curled up next to each other. They had just made love once again and Esme was currently in a trance like state, or as close as a vampire could. There were numerous bite marks on her arms as he found out was a punishment from Carlisle when she was younger. There were also lines that went around her wrist, elbow and where her arm attached to the rest of her body. He had found out those were because of her 'disobedience' to what Carlisle told her. Closing his eyes, Marcus smiled because she had brought the light back in his eyes. He had even shown her what she had missed by feeding from animals. Esme was his mate in every way. Although she was quiet some times, she had a way about her that drew everyone in. Marcus finally understood what his Didyme had tried to tell him as he watched her die.

You're forever is only beginning.

He would forever remember that day but now it had a whole new meaning and one he would be able to live with. When a knock came to the door, Marcus hurried to cover Esme as she curled up against his pillow. His eyes were black, with anger, because he did not wished to be disturbed. Growling, he snapped at the person behind the door to enter. When Aro walked in, Marcus quieted down knowing his brother was alright with the way things have happened. Aro smiled as he turned his eyes to Esme.

"She is strong." He tilted his head to the side. "Carlisle had her raped by different males many times because she was disobedient." Aro's black eyes locked with Marcus'. "What shall I do with such a bothersome fledgling, Brother?"

"Kill him." Esme whispered as she rose slightly, her hair hiding her face. "Kill him for the innocents he did take when he raped young girls because I was not doing what I needed. He would push me so far then snap their necks in front of me because he was always pissed for some reason." Venom gathered in her eyes, never to fall as Marcus wrapped his arms around her shaking shoulders.

Marcus leveled his eyes to Aro. "My mate has spoken Brother."

Aro smiled then his mouth was a grim line as he looked at Esme. Nodding once, Aro turned and rushed out of the room. He was beyond pissed because he was unable to go back that far in such a short time he touched him. Even his gift had some limitations to it. He could go back but if they had their memories erased or just forgot them, they would never show up. Snarling loudly, Aro shoved the doors of Caius' study open to see that Heidi was indeed watching Carlisle, as he asked her to do.

"You have truly lost your way." Aro snarled as he stalked up to Carlisle, who was chained by his wrist to the ceiling. "I gave you insight to our ways, yet you squabble them and twist them for your own amusement. From now on, Caius may do with you what ever he pleases. I wash my hands of you my fledgling. How you disappoint me. Until Caius returns, Heidi will be with you at all times. She may even start your punishments if she wishes. You are no longer under my protection."

With that Aro turned and shut Caius' study door behind him. Carlisle was shocked at what his sire had said. Turning his forced red eyes to Heidi, as she smirked evilly, he cringed in knowing he was handed to the hands of a sadist. Clenching his eyes as tight as they would come, Carlisle hoped he would be dead soon because he had no idea if he would take the type of punishment that he was about to receive. However he was thankful that Caius was not in Volterra but in Beacon Hills with the traitors. It did give him a short reprieve before his torment took place, that was unless Heidi decided to start the punishment.

(Scott's Pov – Beacon Hills High School – Lunch Time – 12:30 PM)

I quickly headed towards the lunch room knowing the others would already be there. Stiles told me that he would meet me there after he went to do something. I was shocked that he had something to do but then again, he had been acting rather weirdly after we saved our parents. I could also feel when Bella got upset but Derek told me that Caius and Jasper started a fight in the house, causing Bella to get rather upset. That caused me to chuckle thinking that the Major of the Southern Wars was scared of my mate but then again Bella could be scary if she put her mind to it or she was highly pissed. Derek had also said that our pups were fine.

"Have you seen Stiles?" Issac asked as I sat down at the table.

I finally noticed that Stiles was no where to be seen. "He told me he had something to do then he'd be here." I frowned sniffing the air. "Where's Allison and Lydia?"

"They found the new girl." Aiden said as he nodded behind me.

Ethan was sitting there beside his twin with an odd look on his face. Turning around, I saw that Lydia and Allison were sitting with an Asian girl. I then connected the odd smell with the new girl. Flashing my eyes, I was shocked to see a flame-like light protecting her. When she turned her head, I saw a snot that looked a lot like a fox. Shaking my head, I turned back around and looked at Issac and the twins.

"Do you see anything different about the girl?" I whispered low enough where no one else could hear. "Use the werewolf eyes." I saw the three of them nod as their eyes flash for a split second before they returned to normal.

"She has an entity protecting her." Aiden said as he turned his eyes to Ethan. "We ran into one before. I believe they're called Kitsunes."

Ethan nodded as his eyes stayed locked on the girl. "Deucalion would know more." He looked at me for a split second. "I don't think she knows what she is."

"What do you mean by that?" Issac asked as his eyes stayed on Allison.

"She doesn't know." Aiden said as he flashed his eyes once again. "Most kitsunes are able to hide their aura's but she cant." He leaned back crossing his arm. "Which could only mean she's new. Either her mother or father are Kitsune. I heard her father is the new history teacher."

"I have history next." I said as we heard an alarm go off. "What the hell!?"

I jumped up along with the twins and Issac. The twins rushed over to Lydia as Issac went to Allison. I turned to see the new girl was rather scared as the students that were fighting to get out of the school. I rushed over grabbed her hand and drug her out of the school behind Issac, Allison, Lydia, Aiden and Ethan. As soon as we were outside the school, Ethan took the new girls hand and took her off away from us. Allison and Lydia must have known what was going on because of the fact that they were both looking at me.

"Does she know?" I asked raising a brow at them. "The twins, Issac and myself have seen a kitsune spirit around the new girl."

Allison frowned as she looked over at the girl. "Her names Kira." She said looking back to me. "Her father is the history teacher but I don't know what her mother does. If she is Kitsune then there can only be one reason."

"What's that?" Stiles said coming up to the side. "And why was there an alarm going off?" He looked rather paler then usual, to me.

Aiden and Ethan nodded as I sniffed the air and for some reason I smelled some kind of chemical. I pushed that out of my head as I saw that Ethan came back over as the girl was pulled to the side by a male that could be her father. I narrowed my eyes as I let the wolf take over that part only. I didn't see anything around him which could only mean that if the girl was part kitsune then she must have gotten it from her mother's side.

"Where were you?" Ethan asked narrowing his eyes.

"I had to take care of something." Stiles said holding his hands up. "Didn't Scott tell you?"

I nodded glaring at Ethan. "I did." I turned my attention back to Stiles. "Are you ok? You seem a little pale."

Stiles nodded as he grabbed my arm a little tighter then normal. "Can we talk?" He glanced around at the others. "Alone?"

"Sure." I nodded as I let him lead me away from the group. "What's up?"

Stiles stood there for a moment before he turned, looking right at me. I knew then and there that something was going on. I frowned as he opened his mouth but closed it again. It took him a couple of minutes but he was finally able to get his shit together.

"I'm going to the hospital and I need you to go with me." Stiles whispered as he was wringing his hands. "I haven't been sleeping. I keep seeing shit that ain't there. And the nightmares are getting worse." He shook his head as I saw him shaking.

"It's ok." I said as I placed a hand on his shoulder. "We'll leave now. I'll just tell Ethan and Issac that we're leaving."

Stiles nodded as I hurried back over to the group. "I'm taking Stiles to the hospital." I could see Lydia's wheels turning in her head. "He's been having some troubles and needs my mom to take a look at something."

They all nodded as I turned and hurried back to Stiles. I knew that if something were to happen, I now had the means to help him. If it came down to it, I would give Stiles the bite in order to keep him from dying. If it came to that. I also knew that Lydia would let them in on what happened. I could see a light click behind her eyes as I told them about him having some troubles. I prayed that I was wrong but from I could see, even Leah was worried but kept it quiet. She wasn't able to save him but I could. Even if she didn't wish for him to be a werewolf, if Stiles was indeed dying, of the same illness that killed his mother, then I would bite him myself and make sure he lived. I wouldn't put Chief Stilinski through that again. He would not lose Stiles. Neither would my Pack.

(Derek's Pov – Hale/McCall House, Living Room – 1:00 PM)

Everyone was off doing what ever they wanted. Scott had felt when Bella was upset, I reassured him that she was fine and so were the pups. After that he kept his mind on school work. It wasn't until lunch that I felt his uneasiness. Bella could feel it too because she became agitated. She would stiffen as if she felt closed in along with the face she buried herself into my side at times she was scared. It wasn't until Alice went into a vision that I knew something was going on. Jasper held onto her tighter as his eyes were once again pitch black. Chris was speaking with Caius while Felix, Faia and Jane were outside scouting the area around the house. Deucalion was also outside making sure the vampires didn't venture into town as Charlie was off with Chief Stilinski. He had gotten a call not along ago which could only be the cause of Alice's vision.

"Alice?" Bella called her name causing her to snap back to the present. "What happened?" There was a frown on my beautiful mate's face that caused my heart to squeeze.

"It's..." Alice wasn't able to get anything out as I heard a phone call in the other room, where Leah, Cora, Jake and Bree were located.

Everything happened rather quickly after that. We heard Jake yell for Leah to calm down as we heard a snap then felt magic in the air for a split second before a loud howl of pain ripped through the air. I felt Bella stiffen beside me as she was out of the room before I could stop her. I got up and followed her as I found her in the room with the wolves and newborn. Alice came up behind me with Jasper at her side. He was also standing slightly in front of her as his eyes landed on Leah in her wolf form. I growled causing Jake to growl along with Leah and Cora.

"What's going on?" I asked turning my eyes to Alice.

Alice sighed as she looked over at Leah. "Stiles is sick." She cringed as she swallowed. "Not only that but Stiles future has went black. It means he's death is coming or a path hasn't been chosen yet."

"Scott's mother just called." Charlie walked in placing his cell phone back in his pocket. "Stiles is sick like his mother was. Scott also said that Stiles believes that he had something to do with everything that has happened. Thomas is at the hospital with Scott and Stiles right now. He asked me to stop by."

Bella nodded as she rushed into our room. I followed after her not knowing what she was going to do. "Where are you going?" I asked as I noticed she was putting her shoes on along with her coat. "You need to stay here. Or don't you remember that my uncle is still after you?"

"I know Derek." Bella gritted her teeth together. "But I wont allow Scott to go through this alone. Anyway I thought you would come with me." She looked up after she was finished with her shoes and grabbed her coat slinging it on.

I just sighed and nodded as I grabbed my jacket and put it on as I followed her out of the room. I heard her telling her dad that her and I were heading to the hospital right now. Charlie was a lot more understanding then a lot of fathers would be. Yet I couldn't be more grateful. The only thing was that I couldn't help but worry about something. I do remember my mother taking something from Peter but I don't remember what it was. For some reason I was never told something and I knew only one way to find out. If I remember correctly, my mother's nails are hidden somewhere in the tunnels. Then the only thing I would need was someone to use the nails on me or let me use the nails on them. Of course, the process was quite painful. As soon as I got into the car, Bella was buckling up with a solemn expression on her face. I smiled as I grabbed her hand and took off towards the hospital.

I also noticed an odd scent on the air.

Kitsune...

Author Note – Oooooooooo! What's going on now? Not only do they have Peter Hale breathing down their necks for Bella, but a strange scent is in the air? And Stiles is also acting a little weird? What's up with that? I also want to thank you for sticking around even after I lost internet. It was awful because I had this written about two days after I lost it and I couldn't post til now! But now that I have, I think you will enjoy it even more. XD! Til next time keep reading and reviewing...
