Arman was ready and waiting for them with the paperwork ready to be signed first thing in the morning as well as a car set to take them to his favorite jewelry shop. They went early so that Zen could be back in time for his guild ranking that day. Both were full of smiles that morning, Lucy especially. Arman wasted no time in informing the rest of the family through the mental link and there were congratulations waiting for them when they arrived at the guild. The men hugged Lucy and slapped Zen on the back, while the girls practically tackled Lucy squealing in delight and gushed over the jewelry. Even Laxus shook Zen's hand and only mildly threatened his life. Hey, Kaleb. Tell my bro I'm jealous that he gets to tap that whenever he wants and that Cobra says he's gonna melt him into angel-goo if she's ever unhappy. When Kaleb relayed a polite and moderated version to the couple, Lucy raised a brow knowing that couldn't possibly be what Erik had said. "Now I know that isn't what my poison slayer said and I don't know Vander well, but that seems unlikely as well. What did they really say?"

Kaleb sighed. "Vander is jealous Zen gets to 'tap that' and Cobra threatened to melt him into 'angel-goo'." This caused Zen to frown while Lucy giggled. He looked to his older brother, "You ready for your ranking? This is going to be a tad different from normal since we are trying to keep you out of the public eye and your magic is unique and undocumented. Unfortunately, Vander is gone on a lengthy mission or I would have him test you. Instead we will be doing this in the private arena reserved for officers of the guild and you will have multiple opponents instead of just one, the Raijinshuu. All have very different magics and fighting styles but work well together. Any questions? No? We will meet at the arena in an hour then."

"Come on, let's grab some food and I will fill you on how that team works." Lucy grabbed onto Zen's arm, hungry as usual. She was only 2 and a half months pregnant so she had questioned Xally about the extra hunger. They both figured that it was probably due to having multiples and one or two of them possibly being a slayer. They were both well aware of the eating habits of dragon slayers. She was to keep Xally posted on weight gain so they could make sure it was in the normal range but otherwise was to eat whatever made her happy as long as she got plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Bickslow had tried to join them in the guild hall while Lucy snacked on a variety of meats and cheeses and fruit, but was instantly shooed away by the blonde. "Nope, top secret discussions going on here. Not going to talk to you until after the ranking. Shouldn't you be getting ready or plotting or something?" Although he made a pouty face while sulking off he was internally thrilled at how happy Lucy seemed to be with his brother. He had thought of her as a sister for a long time, and now it looked like that was going to become reality. He ran off to join his team for the "plotting" as she called it.

Lucy went into detail over each team member's magic and fighting styles and Zen absorbed it all, deciding that it would be best to take out Evergreen and Freed first if possible. The other two were more manageable with his fighting style, especially Laxus. He had fought lightning Wyvern's in the arena before. Freed worried him the most by Lucy's descriptions of the rune traps he had used during Fantasia. He would have to be very careful and keep close attention to where that mage was in the arena to avoid any traps.

Lucy was interrupted by a shout across the guild hall, "Lu-Lu!" Zen looked up to see a short blue haired woman running towards them at top speed. He looked over at Lucy and saw her eyes light up as she jumped up. "Levy!"

The two met in a huge hug. "I wanted to come sooner but was busy finishing up a mission and then you were gone back to the Celestial Realm, so I came as soon as I could once I heard you were back from Gaj! Oh my god, so are you really pregnant with twins? Did you really get engaged? Who is he? Can I meet him?"

Lucy laughed. "Take a breath Levy. I missed you and I'm glad you came. And yes to all the rest, except it's called promised not quite engaged." Lucy lifted her hand to show off her jewelry and Levy squealed in delight causing Zen to flinch a little. He couldn't understand how Lucy's sensitive hearing could stand that sound, but it didn't seem to bother her at all. Lucy turned to him and introduced the two. "Levy, this is Zen. Zen this is one of my best friend's from Fairy Tail, Levy."

The script mage's eyes opened wide when she caught sight of the archangel behind Lucy. "Oh wow Lu-Lu. You didn't mess around did you? Holy-" she caught herself and blushed a little seeing Zen stare at her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I hope you two are very happy together."

Zen smiled back at her and bowed slightly. "It is nice to meet one of Lucy's friends without getting immediate death threats."

Levy laughed. "Yeah well you picked one that has lots of over-protective guild mates and that doesn't even include the slayers.I'm sorry if Gajeel was rude at all, just let me know and I can punish him when I get back if he deserves it. I won't make him Iron for a whole month if he was an ass."

"No, he was actually the most reasonable of the bunch, except for maybe the shadow slayer. But I think he was too busy avoiding my little brother to be overly concerned about me." Lucy gave him a questioning look. "Shadow magic thing I think. I haven't figured out Vander very well yet though so I'm not sure." Zen explained.

"Well as long as Gaj was a good boy, I can't do anything about the rest. Laxus has been an ass his whole life and I'm not even going to start on Cobra. By the way, when the hell did he make you kin anyhow?"

"Umm… a while ago when I was in Crocus. Crime Sociere came through town and we visited. He was sweet and apologized profusely for what he had done in the past."

"He was sweet?" Levy shook her head. "I will never understand how you see people Lu-Lu. That's the last word anyone would use to describe him."

Lucy shook her head. "He's not what he appears on the outside. He had it rougher than any of us I think. It's just a mask to protect himself."

"Well, this is why you are the light of Fairy Tail. You see the best of everyone. I swear you could say something nice about Acnolgia and Zeref." Lucy was just about to do just that and Levy clamped a hand over her mouth. "I was kidding Lu-Lu. Not needed. If you get me to feel bad for them, I'm not sure I can fight them. So, what are we up to now that I'm here in Bosco? Gonna show me around?"

"Ooh, well today is Zen's guild ranking fight. Actually we need to go there soon, will you come watch with me?"

"Absolutely! Wouldn't miss it for the world. I heard White Sea has some pretty intense rankings."

"Yeah he has to fight the Raijinshuu and Kaleb and Cristoff will make a decision based upon the battle."

"He has to fight the Raijinshuu? All of them? By himself?"

"Yup." Lucy grinned. "He's pretty kick-ass." She whispered to her friend, knowing that Zen would over-hear. "Come on, lets go get the best seats!"

The battle started off as planned. Zen was able to knock out of commission pretty early on. The Raijinshuu was used to most enemies going after Laxus right off and were caught off guard when that didn't happen. But that's where Zen's planning ended. He focused on Freed next but Bickslow and Laxus kept at him from opposite ends of the arena and both were using range attacks. He decided he would have to take out one of them and just try to keep an eye on Freed as much as possible. He chose his brother. Staying in the air and moving seemed to prevent most of the attacks from landing, causing the seith to curse frequently. Rarely did he have to fight air battles and Zen was damn fast. Eventually, Zen was able to get under him, take him off his totems and fling him into an unsuspecting Laxus. This took both down momentarily so he could regain his ground on Freed who also took to the air. Freed was agile but Zen was faster. Zen grinned as he pinned the rune mage to the ground while Laxus threw Bickslow off himself to get back into the fight. Zen turned to attack Laxus when he heard Freed laugh under him. "Check mate." He had fallen into one of the traps and from Freed's explanation, he was stuck there until all of the Raijinshuu were conscious again. Zen tested the barrier and sure enough he wasn't going anywhere. He sat next to Freed, his wings disappearing and laughed as the rune mage sat up rubbing his head.

"You okay?" Zen asked.

"Yes, but that was the most difficult fight I've had for quite some time. You certainly kept me on my toes." Freed had to admit. "I wasn't sure I'd be able to finish laying these runes before you were done concentrating on Bickslow. It was close, and if I hadn't been able to finish you very were might have won over all of us."

Instead of waiting for Evergreen to wake up, Freed unwrote the trap. "That's some pretty amazing magic you have." Zen told him. "I've never seen anything like it."

Freed gave him a genuine smile. "Thank you." He looked to see Lucy nervously wringing her hands in the observation room. "I've removed the trap, it looks like your promised would like to see you."

Zen grinned at the rune mage and waved to Laxus and his brother as his wings came out and he flew up to the observation deck. "Are you disappointed? I didn't win."

Lucy shook her head as she ran her hands over him checking for damage. "No, I'd be disappointed in them if they lost. They are all S class mages and have been working as a team for a long time. You okay?" Zen kissed her nose and hugged her knowing she was worried about him. He wasn't used to anyone actually worrying about him. It was a nice feeling.

"That was amazing!" Levy exclaimed.

"Indeed it was." Kaleb chimed in. "Cristoff and I agree, S Class with a probability of knighthood. You are very versatile brother. Well done."

"So what are we going to do next? I'd like to see the city and stuff." Levy nudged her friend with her elbow.

"Well, I'm going to the estate to take a nap. You are staying at the estate with us right?" Levy nodded. "Let's catch up tonight and I will call Xally and Emzadi. How does girls day out shopping sound for tomorrow?"

"That sounds amazing! I can't wait to meet everyone else."
