Okay! So it has been a super long time and i am so sorry. There were so many of you who kicked my ass in to gear again recently asking if i was going to finish this and i am so sorry that you had to wait so long for an update. The last chapter is going to be the epilogue which, don't worry, i already have planned. This chapter was difficult and I'm not super happy with it but it's been so long and i didn't want you to wait even longer! Sorry for any typos but here it is!

Chapter 25: Awake

Once the building started to crackle with electricity the guild knew their two blondes were awake, and very active as well! A cheer rang through the guild followed by a very loud scream that had every ones faces going red. Mira sent a blushing rune mage up to the infirmary to put a silencing rune on the door.

However before he could get that far, there was a bolt of lightning that struck directly in front of him, leaving him stumbling back and almost down the stairs. He placed the rune at the top of the stairs, no body was brave enough to try to sneak past the bolts of lightning anyway. The guild proceeded to party, glad that their friends were awake and by the looks of it completing the bond.

Lucy arched her back as there was a rough thrust in to her. She was going numb with the pleasure and was enjoying being washed away. The pain from the bond had dissipated and there was a fully formed mark on the back of her neck that seemed to set her dragon off every time he saw it. She had a brief thought, wondering how long they had been up there and if the guild was waiting for them below.

Laxus growled and her eyes snapped to meet his. He thrust in to her again, trying to retain his mates attention. He wanted her so wrapped up in pleasure that her magnificent brain couldn't think of anything else. They had been at it for hours, he wasn't keeping track of the exact amount of time, but he knew at least a full day had passed since the time the two had woken and completed the bond.

He could sense other bodies in the vicinity and his magic was on constant alert to strike down anything that tried to interrupt the time with his mate. The bond was in full swing and he could feel the small keening noises strumming through his mates soul.

Laxus loved making his little light happy and knew that, that meant letting her out of this room to see her family. His dragon however did not like that idea and made it very clear they were not to leave the bed. He felt his dragon growl and heard his mate growl back. This set him off and as his hands roamed over creamy ivory skin and palmed her heaving chest, his fingers pulling sharply on a sensitive nipple, he felt her muscles tightening.

Laxus wanted to drive her over the edge, keeping a solid pace and letting little sparks of lightning tease her nipples. His hand smoothed down her flat stomach, his thumb dipping down in to her slit to rub her clit, egging on the most recent orgasm. Screaming blonde was his favorite sound and he loved to watch her eyes clench shut and her lips part in a drawn out moan as her back arched and her hands fisted the sheets.

The two stilled, panting for a moment before Laxus carefully eased out of her. He lay on his side, pulling her in to him.

He smiled gently as his mate snuggled in to his chest.

He brushed his fingers through her hair and gently down her back and Lucy shuddered at the feeling. She peeked up at him and smiled contentedly. "The only thing that could make me happier is if we were in a bath." Laxus chuckled and let the gentle purr in the back of his throat sooth her.

"I guess that could be arranged, however the bath is at home." Lucy sighed dreaming of her bath at home and snickering at the thought of fitting her dragon in to her bath with her. That wouldn't be happening. She hadn't really seen Laxus' bath, or his home at all really. He usually stayed in her small pink apartment. She wondered if the bond meant he would move in with her or if he wanted her in his space.

How had this not been something they talked about? Lucy had been so swept up in wanting to be with Laxus that she figured they could discuss it later. However later never came. She had studied with Levy and enjoyed her time with her dragon, was this a side affect of the bond? That she had been swept away and forgotten to be a rational adult and figure this out? Mating seemed like the next logical step, she knew she loved this man and wanted to be with him forever.

But the mating was like marriage in the dragon world and while that was okay with her she didn't want to be married and still have separate homes. What about children? She had always wanted a family, as had he. That was about as far as the conversation had gotten. While they had been careful and she had Porlyusica create her a pregnancy control charm, Lucy wondered when they would decide to start on kids. Where they would live.

Laxus felt his mates thoughts spin out of control and tipped her head up to look in to her eyes. He couldn't hear her thoughts but he could feel her confusion and panic and he wanted to calm her. "What's wrong Blondie?" Lucy smiled at the gruff tone and familiar nickname. She used his voice to ground herself.

"We've given ourselves completely to each other and I've never even seen your house. We've always been in my apartment. Are you moving in with me or am i suppose to move in with you?"

Laxus shushed her and gently kissed her forehead. "Hush little one, yes this is us moving forward in our relationship but this just makes us stronger. We were going to end up here sooner or later, it doesn't mean everything has to rush forward."

He made sure she was listening and not still off in her thoughts and he cradled her face gently in his hands. "I would love for you to come see my house, in fact we can go as soon as you like. And i would be delighted to have you move in but if you aren't ready for that, then it's okay. We'll take it slow. You can spend the night, see if you are comfortable. Everything will come with time i promise. We don't have to move in together right away. This is purely an expression of love and commitment."

Lucy relaxed slightly, everything she had read had related the mating to being married but she tended to forget that they were also human mages and not dragons. They had their own customs. Besides when did Laxus ever do anything normal anyway?

Lucy leaned up and dragged her dragon in to a smoldering kiss. "I love you." Laxus smirked and pulled her supple body closer to his own. "I love you too, how about i show you how much?" Lucy giggled as she felt him harden against her. "But i thought we were going to take a bath! We've been in the same room for days and i probably smell awful!" Laxus growled and hitched her leg up over his hip, rubbing his reawakened length along her already drenched core.

"I'll show you my bath after, you'll love it, but for now i want to love you." Lucy honestly couldn't argue with that logic and as he eased himself in to her, holding her close to his body with both of them on their sides, she forgot once again that they were still at the guild and had family that was waiting just below. Lucy keened and let herself be washed away in the feeling of her mate.

It was late in to the evening the day after the blondes had awakened and the guild hall was full of the eager members waiting for them to make their way downstairs. They were starting to think the second floor of the guild would be permanently off limits when the static finally ceased.

It was like a pressure being released and many people felt their ears pop. The runes lit up brightly and everyone turned toward the stairs to see a hulking figure with a small blonde tucked in to his side. The crowd went up in a cheer and Levy stood up from her seat next to Gajeel, ready to run toward her best friend. The iron slayer grabbed her shoulder and shook his head. He stood and made eye contact with the other two dragons. All of them were currently unmated and needed to recognize the blondes claim before he would allow them to lay their own familial claim.

The guild held its breathe as the three slayers stepped forward, no body had seen the salmon haired boy so serious. Laxus gently spun his mate, dropping a kiss to the top of her head as she faced him. He carefully moved her hair to the side to display the finished mark. The three slayers took a half step back and dropped their heads down, showing their submission and recognition that the small woman belonged to the slayer in front of them.

Lucy shifted uncomfortably as she waited for this to be over and finally Laxus nodded, kissing her and spinning her back around, allowing her to join their extended family. She skipped her way down the stairs and was immediately pulled in to Natsu's arms as he hugged her tightly. He brushed his fingers over her mating mark then pulled his hand back at the shock he received. He grinned in to her hair, whispering his congratulations.

Lucy laughed and hugged him tighter before she was very ungracefully pulled out of his arms and wrapped up in steel bands. She grinned and hugged the other slayer back. The two had bonded during their time together and Gajeel thought of the blonde as his kin. He was glad they had finally finished the bond and knew they would be happy together. "I'm happy for you Bunny."

The blonde grinned and then the two heard a small whine, answered by a growl, directed at the iron slayer. Lucy peered down to see Wendy, shifting impatiently. Laxus was clearly warning Gajeel to give Wendy a chance to lay claim on her kin. The iron slayer reluctantly released the blonde and she swooped down to gather the blue haired girl in her arms.

"Wendy i have so much to thank you for." Wendy shook her head vigorously "No! Not at all I'm just so happy you are both okay and the bond was okay!" The blonde, wiped away the tears flowing down the young girls face. "We are fine thanks to you!" The two girls grinned, both crying now and hugged each other tightly.

After the scene between the dragons and the newly mated girl was complete the rest of the guild cheered and everyone surrounded the happy couple to give them hugs and congratulations and let them know they were happy they were okay.

The two blondes spent hours among their friends and family, both famished after their recent work out and the long period they were asleep. They accepted heaping plates from Mira and both accepted hugs from the Master. They were happy to see everyone and knew they had to put in some face time to make up for the time they were asleep.

Laxus however was beginning to get irritable. He was newly mated and wanted to be alone with said mate. After another hour Laxus reached his limit of allowing his mate to be touched by their family. He grabbed her hand gently and led her to the doors, saying good night before tugging her away from the guild.

Lucy was surprised that they were not heading to her apartment. "Laxus?" He grinned down at her. "I think i promised you could see my house." Lucy grinned back and allowed him to lead her down a forested path. The made their way for another fifteen minutes and Lucy was pretty sure she would get lost trying to find it on her own.

Finally they came upon a house, the outside was gorgeous and not quite what she would expect from her dragon. It was a beautiful wooden outside with lots of windows and a large deck. It seemed very open and welcoming. She could see bits and pieces of the inside through the windows but wanted to get the full picture. She followed Laxus to the door and he opened it up and led her inside.

The inside was just as amazing as the outside. Although Laxus spent the majority of his time at her house or at the guild the house felt lived in. The kitchen was up to date, state of the art equipment and the coloring of the house was light and neutral.

She wanted to explore the entire house and could already picture herself and her mate and maybe some little ones lounging around in the large living room. Her musings were cut short by an arm that snaked its way around her waist. She felt her mate nuzzle in to her neck and giggled.

"I already know what your favorite part will be. Don't you want to see?" Lucy nodded and eagerly followed her other half up the stairs and down the hall to his bedroom which had a king sized bed she wanted to melt in to.

He led her to a door to the left of the room which took them to an en suit bathroom. Inside was the biggest marble tub Lucy had ever seen and she instantly fell in love. When Laxus suggested the enjoy it together she groaned in agreement. Laxus requested she grab a few towels from a near by cabinet and she did as asked. She took the time while he fiddled with the temperature to strip and heard his breath catch when he turned around.

"You my love always shock me with your beauty." Lucy snorted at the pun and Laxus grinned, pulling her closer and swooping down to lock her in a heated kiss. After they had both stripped and the tub was full, Laxus lowered himself in to the heated water, making room for the lithe blonde to sit between his legs. Lucy let the heat envelope her and groaned, dropping her head back to rest on his shoulder and her back against his chest.

She felt his interest stir behind her and his nose skim up the side of her neck. Her eyes closed as she relaxed. "You keep making noises like that and i won't be able to stop myself." His hands roamed her soft skin, rubbing across her stomach and straying up to cup her full breasts. "Feels to me like you aren't trying very hard in the first place."

She grinned and arched in to the affectionate touches. She was exhausted from their activities over the last day and a half and their time in the guild but she could already feel him winding her up. She whined and shifted, rubbing against the stiffness that was poking in to her lower back.

She felt his chest rumble as he growled his response and his right hand gave up it's fondling to go on the hunt for something else. The anticipation winding in her body slowly ramped up as his hand crept closer to its destination. Finally she felt a small measure of relief as he made contact between her legs. Her body easily welcomed his fingers and she panted at the feeling of two of them slipping inside her while his thumb gently rubbed against her clit.

Lucy brought her arms up to tangle in his hair behind her, arching her body forward to try to coax his fingers deeper. "Laxus." The blondes voice was breathy and she shivered as she felt the growl rumble through his chest.

His dragon roared, clearly happy with the direction this was heading. Laxus finally removed his fingers from her body, chuckling at the whine that came from her throat. Laxus eased his way in and both sighed in relief. Lucy braced her hands on the wide shoulders in front of her and carefully lifted her weight up, then let it sink back down slowly. The torturous pace lasted a little longer before the minimal control slipped away and the hands braced on her hips, picked her up and slammed her back down.

A shrill scream filled the bathroom and Lucy tossed her head back. Laxus attached his mouth to her exposed neck, sucking greedily to create a new mark, although one that was not permanent. Laxus manipulated her body along his shaft for a little longer, the warm water sloshing around them. Finally he decided he no longer wanted the resistance of the water so he carefully stood. Lucy's legs wrapping around his waist and his hands supporting her, holding her tight against him.

Laxus didn't bother to remove her from his cock as he stepped out of the bath, he disregarded their wet states and made his way back in to the bedroom. Lucy moaned and cried out as she felt him move inside her with every step. She had no idea how he could even walk but was infinitely happy when she felt herself get lowered to rest on the mattress. Laxus looked at the blonde laid out before him and groaned low in his throat at the delicious sight she made. The sudden change in position caused her to cry out as he began to thrust in to her roughly. "Oh yes Laxus!"

"Tell me baby. Tell me how good you feel." Lucy clenched her eyes closed and arched her body to be closer to his. "Oh god, so good. I feel so good Laxus! I love having you inside of me!"

"You know this bed is a lot bigger than mine." She heard him hum in agreement. "Yo have a beautiful house Laxus." He smiled and pulled her closer, happy his mate approved of his space. He had hoped she would love it and would want to spend more time in it. Maybe one day they would move her in.

Laxus knew it was too soon to propose living together so he settled. "Let's stay the night here, I'll cook you a nice breakfast in the morning. That is after i have my fill of you." The blonde giggled and nodded. "Okay." The response was quiet but the dragon slayer heard it no problem.

He slowly rolled out of bed , ignoring her whine, and padded his way to his dresser. He grabbed a large purple shirt and a pair of boxers. He slipped the boxers on and tossed the blonde his shirt. "Here let's get some sleep."

After slipping on the shirt that swallowed her frame, she crawled in to the blankets and waited for her mate to join her. Once they were comfortably entwined again, they both drifted off to sleep.
