Hey minna ^^"
I'm sorry I've been holding off updating this story. I've been busy, bad excuse I know, but it's true :( Exams in a week D:

Anyway, enough about me, I hope you guys enjoy this.

※ Zero's P.O.V

It was worrying.

He'd specifically told Yagari to inform him once he'd retrieved Yuki from the airport. That was almost five hours ago. He looked out the large bay window of the Hunter's Association headquarters which overlooked the main streets of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower in full view. The setting sun was beautiful. Red, orange and baby pink streaks of light filled the sky with a masterpiece painting that could have rivaled Da Vinci. Even though such a view didn't distract him at all from the questions that ran freely through his mind, none of which he knew the answers to. It was only when he felt a hand on his shoulder did he snap out of his thoughts.

"Zero."

"Ichiru…"

He looked at his twin brother; he could see the anxiety in his eyes, "Calm down. I'm sure Yuki is alright."

"We can only hope so." Ichiru said rather sadly. "Who knows what Kaien might do to her…? She lied and even ran away from home."

Zero shook his head, "If he is going to punish her, it's only fair that I receive the same punishment, or maybe even more. I was the one who helped her leave."

"Kaien loves Yuki-chan a lot. He wouldn't do anything too drastic to her. The most he'd do would probably be grounding her and probably preventing her from leaving the house without someone to look after her." Ichiru said, a glimmer of hope could be heard in his voice.

"I would feel guilty if I let that happen." Zero sighed. "If anything, I'll take her punishment for her."

Ichiru kept quiet at his statement. Whether he was upset or shocked at his words, Zero didn't know.

※ Hanabusa's P.O.V

"I'm going crazy!" He grumbled rather loudly.

They had been sitting there for over three hours, unsure of what was going on or why Kaname hadn't asked for them to see him. Hanabusa had much rather he be slapped on the spot compared to waiting for hours to face the final judgement. Ichijou had joined them sometime after he'd found out where they were. Sitting in silence didn't exactly play out very well for any of them.

"Hanabusa, shut up." Akatsuki sighed.

Ruka nodded, resting her chin on the palm of her hand, "I second that opinion."

"I'm sick of sitting here like lambs waiting to be served on a grill!" He threw his hands up in the air, frustrated.

"Actually that metaphor was pretty accurate." Ruka said meekly.

Silence enveloped the room after her statement. They didn't really know what to say in response that's for sure.

"Well I'm sorry." Ruka muttered.

※ Ichijou's P.O.V

It was terribly quiet in Kaname's office. Ichijou could only hear quiet breathing but nothing more. Although, it didn't take an expert to know that he should not interrupt anything. It was only the faint smell of Kaname's blood mixed with a heavy scent of another's blood that continued to press against his resolve to leave. It did not take a genius, on the other hand to know that Kaname could tell he was there. He stood in silence, listening on for awhile before finally following his best judgement to leave. He had to find Hanabusa and the others.

Everything came rushing back to her in an instant. The memories, the emotions she'd once felt a long time ago. The vague images had now turned sharp and clear, much like watching a video in 1080p. Although she wanted to, she couldn't open her eyes. They were heavy and felt glued shut. It was worse when she began to feel the burning in the back of her throat again. Pain consumed her slowly, agonizingly and she could only drift back in to unconsciousness. When she finally drifted back into consciousness, she could feel someone's presence in the room. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the room, lit only by a couple of wall lamps to her right. New sights and smells came to her, washing over her much like how the waves enveloped the shore during high tide. Sitting up slowly, Yuki could feel eyes observing her. With the familiar breathing pattern, the beat of his heart and something new; the blood that was flowing through his veins, she could already tell that it was Kaname.

"You're awake." Kaname was standing by the window in his office. The setting sun cast a faint orange glow, one that, along with his inhuman like features, turned him almost angelic.

She nodded slowly, unsure of what to say. Looking at her hands, she could no longer see the bruises and scars she'd obtained from Artemis over the years. Instead, they were soft and looked like they've never worked a day in their life. A hand reached out to brush away the hair which fell in her face. It was long and silky smooth, unlike her usual short and cropped look. Everything about her was different, yet still the same.

Was this who she really was? A girl that had been sealed away for so long?

Or was the 'before' her the real Yuki?

Human or vampire?

Her head ached from her own thoughts. Burying her face in her hands, she felt trapped. Had her entire life, right up to this moment, only been a lie? Was she destined to be the one thing her family despised the most?

"Yuki.."

She looked up to see Kaname, crouched down and looking at her. He had a gentle expression on his face, his burgundy eyes kind, inviting and warm. Even just by saying her name, she could already feel all the affection he had for her. She felt his arms pull her into a tight embrace and buried her face in his chest, taking in his familiar scent.

"Yuki..." He whispered in her ear, pulling her closer. She liked hearing his voice, it made her feel safe, like nothing could hurt her. "I'm sorry I had to bring you back in to this cruel and blood-filled world."

No, I'm only sorry I had to make you suffer for so long. She thought, her eyes brimming with tears that threatened to overflow at any given moment.

"But being the selfish person that I am, I'm happy to be able to speak to you like this again."

Her grip on his shirt tightened, never wanting to let go.

They stayed that way for what seemed like forever, until she could no longer bite back the pain in the throat. It felt like she was being stabbed repeatedly and she thought that she would die; until he told her to drink his blood.

"You're lacking the blood that your body needs." He said, pulling her close. So close that she could hear the blood rushing through his veins.

It was tempting.

"No. I'm not going to. I can't." she hesitated, pulling away from him.

"Don't be afraid, just do it."

After much coaxing, she carefully pierced her fangs into his neck, feeling the flow of his blood down her throat and mixing with her own. Besides the blood, she could feel his emotions. It was cautious yet open, rough yet gentle..

She only took a little, unable to take anymore out of fear she'd hurt him. He didn't complain and only held her close, his touch gentle and soothing.

"You're the same Yuki you always were. No matter as human or as one of us."

And for the first time in awhile, she no longer felt distant from him.

OK so I feel like I was unable to portray the whole YUME feels here but I hope you guys will bear with me ^^" Sorry for any grammatical errors/typos ._.

I'll be EXTRA descriptive in the next chapter. BUT, while writing this, I realized something. Until now, I've never known why Kaname wanted to kill all the other purebloods. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it because he wanted to protect Yuki, as in that promise he made to her when she was younger? Gosh if I'm right I will cry from all the feels. YUME forever :')

Leave a fan, favourite, review...? :D

I love reading reviews that you all took time to write, I feel really happy you guys like my work :')

Thanks guys :)

Until next time,

.xx
