Fully aware that she was a McMahon and there was very little chance of him getting away with this without telling her the truth he decided to just tell her and get it over with, "I had a run in with your Dad."

Rolling her eyes she should have known he would have something to do with this. Turning around on the couch she leant back against his side resting her head back on his shoulder, "you and me both. What did he want with you?"

Slipping his arm around his girlfriend's waist he pressed a kiss to the top of her head, "he wondered where you were and if you had travelled with me. I kind of lost my cool with him and had a go at him but in my defence he deserved it."

"He always deserves it but what exactly did he say to you that got you to lose your cool with him? I've never seen you lose your cool before."

Laughing softly at how easily he lost his cool and how she had never seen him on it before, "actually he simply asked if you were with me and I just took out all of my frustrations on him."

Shifting a little on the couch she lay down across his lap and stretched her legs out to rest her knee, "I snapped at him too so he knows how we both feel now. What did you say to him?"

Stroking her hair gently as he looked down at her he shrugged a little, "something about me not being your keeper and probably never would now and he said it wasn't personal it was all business so I told him it was all personal and nothing business. He said he didn't want to break us up but he couldn't have the unrest in the locker room so I said something about him not giving a damn about your feelings before I walked off leaving him alone. I'm kind of surprised I still have a job after talking to him like that."

"Vince isn't going to fire you because then he would have to go to a lot of work to rearrange the storylines for the next few months and he wouldn't want to do that. If he fired you I'd quit so he'd be in twice as much shit."

His eyes widened at that revelation, "you wouldn't really would you?"

Nodding her head she took his free hand and linked their fingers together, "I sure would. I know it would be easier for us to be together then but I'd rather be out of here and with you all of the time than still here and barely seeing you."

Bending down he pressed a soft kiss to her lips, "hopefully it will never come to that though. So what did your Dad say to you?"

"Luckily for me our conversation was brief but he asked if we could talk and I told Vince that I was running late and Dwayne tried telling him we weren't but I made Dwayne agree with me but then Vince asked if I was going to be okay so I asked him if he meant my broken heart or my knee."

"Ouch, I bet that didn't go down well."

Shrugging her shoulders she didn't know and didn't care, "I didn't stick around to find out."

Squeezing her hand gently he continued to stroke her hair, "I can't say I blame you for that, I kind of lost my cool with him and walked off straight away too so don't really know how he felt about what I said to him. We should think about getting things together for the production meeting."

"Or we could just stay here and spend the next hour kissing."

Raising his eyebrow at her suggestion he actually was kind of torn, "that's just cruel. If we don't go to the production meeting it will be far more enjoyable as I definitely enjoy kissing you but someone is bound to coming looking for you or me or both of us however if we go to the production meeting we'll be miserable."

She hated it when he was practical, "okay fine. Why don't we compromise and kiss for a bit now and then go to the production meeting so nobody comes looking for us?"

Nodding his head he was in agreement with that, "sounds good to me. I will just move from beneath your head and we will lay on the couch together, much more comfortable."

Laughing she liked the idea but it would be so easy to get caught, "but that'll make it really easy for us to get caught if someone just walks in."

As he moved from his seat he walked over to the door and turned the lock, "now they can't."

Moving up a bit on the couch she rolled onto her side and faced towards him, "my hero."

Walking back to the couch he carefully climbed onto it and lay down facing her sliding his arm over her waist and pulled her close as he leant forward and captured her lips in a soft and sweet kiss.

Returning the favour she slid her arm over his waist and to his ass holding him to her as she deepened the kiss a little.

The two were so lost in their own world of kissing that when there was a heavy knock at the door from someone reminding Stephanie of the production meeting starting in five minutes that they both jumped and being precariously perched on the edge of the couch Paul fell backwards onto the floor with a thump.

Giggling at the way he was now laying sprawled on the floor she looked down at him, "did they scare you?"

Sitting up he nodded his head, "fuck yes. I was so wrapped up in you that I completely lost all track of time so yes, they scared the living daylights out of me."

She found him saying that to be so incredibly sweet that she wanted to kiss him but couldn't because she would fall off the couch and hurt her knee again which wouldn't go down well, "if you weren't so far away I would give you a kiss to let you know how sweet I thought you were but alas you had to fall on your ass."

Moving closer to the couch he smiled at her, "feel free to kiss me now."

Shuffling closer to the edge of the couch she kissed him softly before she pulled away, "but now we need to separate and go to the production meeting."

Standing up he reached his hand out towards her to help her up. Once she was stood up he moved to the door, "I will leave and go to the meeting now and then you can join me in a minute so it doesn't look like we were together."

"We probably shouldn't sit next to each other in the meeting either."

Nodding his head he walked towards the door, "agreed. I will see you in the meeting, don't be too bad or I'll have to punish you later."

Shaking her head at him she ignored his comment and limped over to her bag getting out the papers she needed for the meeting.
