Double D sighed, the bright summer sun came through his window,Its warmth reminded him of Kita.

"Hey Sockhead, you hear anything I just said?" Double D snapped back to reality.

"I"m sorry Eddy, I was thinking. What were you trying to say?" Eddy shook his head.

"Not that it matters, Nazz is havin' a party for the end of summer, she invited us and wants ta know if there's any chance we'd do somethin' for entertainment. Told her I'd ask you, Ed's fine wiith it if you are."

"I don't think so Eddy, that's not to say you can put on a show for our friends"

"But Double D, you can't just leave us like this" Eddy's voice was almost pleading.

"I am not leaving anyone, I just think that it would be a good idea if I wait for a while, we'll be recording our first CD soon and I don't-"

"You say that like you don't wanna do it. Something's wrong, you gonna talk ta me?"

"oh Eddy, it isn't that, I-I miss her, Yes, I talk to her on the phone but I just-"

"I get it, I know she misses you too cause, I watched you guys an' I know how much I miss Kate. No one said it'd be easy." Eddy dat fown next to his friend.

"She'd want ya to be happy Double D, We'll get back there some time. Til then, let's make our girls proud."Double D smiled faintly.

"You're right Eddy, I suppose a song wouldn't do any harm."

"Atta boy Double D, come on, lets go tell Nazz the good news" The Eds rose from their seats and began their walk

"She said she'd be at the playground, everyone's goin' those new houses are already done, let's check it out" Double D followed without giving a allowed his mind to wander between thoughts of the Eds soon to be music career and Kita, wishing he could share it with her. He could faintly her Eddy droning onbut paid no attention to his words.

"Geez Sockhead pay attention will ya, I said we're here" Eddy said slightly angrily.

"I'm sorry I was-"

"Thinkin' yeah I know. Looks like someone's already bought the place, wat'd ya think nice place huh?" Double D gazed at the two story white building, the perfect yard, red rose bushes on either side of the porch. A large tree just off to the side, hanging from it was a variation of a porch swing.

"It looks very inviting Eddy, That swing would make an ideal reading spot when the weather is right and-"

"Look it's the moving van, and the car's behind it, I can't wait to meet our new neighbors Sarah, I even brought cupcakes!" Jimmy held up a pink box and smiled.

"Maybe they'll have kuds we can play with" Sarah added.

"Or Buttered toast and comic books to share with us." Ed said sunddenly from beside her.

"I'm not sure we should be crowding them Eddy, These people are just moving in and-"

"Maybe they'll need help" Double D crossed his arms and shot a skeptical look at Eddy.

"You just hope they'll pay you, it isn't polite to take advantage of-"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever" Double D groaned softly in frustation.

The doors to the car opened and a tall dark haired woman stepped out, she smiled at the group and waved.

"Hello Everyone, you must be the neighborhood children, I'm Ms. Evans, It's nice to see you all." hervoice was soft and kind.

"Hello Ms. Evans" The Cul-de-sac children said in unison.

"Please let me introduce to hou my daughters, I apologise if they're not very talkitive at the moment but they were abit upset by the move from the city. I was hoping to find a way to ease this for them but, change is very difficult." She said suddenly frowning. and motioning to the car.

"Girls, please join me, these children would really love to get to know you. I know it isn't the same my dears but it seems you already have friends."

"Couldn't we just go back home?" The Eds looked at each other, the voice was familiar causing the three aeds to smile. Double D steppped out of the crowd followed by Ed and Eddy.

"Ms. Evans, My name is Eddward, everyone refers to me as Double D here, it's nice to finally meet you, this is Ed and Eddy, if we may, I think the three of us might be able to get your daughters to come out." The Eds waited for a reply.

"If you really think you can, give it a try."

She gestured to the car. The Eds approache, Double D stopped by the front door as Ed and Eddy went around to the back. The boys tapped gently on the window. Getting no response, Diuble D carefully opened the door.

"Will you come out... for me Kita?" he asked softly as Ed and Eddy jumped back to avoid being hit with rhe door.

The girls wrapped their arms around the Eds.

"I can't believe this, I missed you so much D!"

"Eddy, it's so great to see you again!"Kate cried pulling him close.

"Alora!" Ed shouted with glee. The neighborhood children watched the scene confused.

"This is where you live?" Double D nodded.

" Not very far from here"

"

"We can show ya some time if ya want."

"Alora, you can meet my baby sister Sarah," He leaned close before whispering. "be careful, Sarah can be scary when she's mad" The girls released the Eds and embraced their mother.

"We're so sorry mom, I know we'll love it here in Peach Creek. They turned back to the Eds. Kita leaned into Double D, allowing him to hold her tight.

"Welcome home Kita." he said quietly.

"So... you guys need help getting things inside?" Eddy offered

"If you wouldn't mind, that would be wonderful" Ms. Evan said, before long, everyone had been given a job and set to work.
