Greg and Brox watched as Calantha brought out vines from beneath the marble tiled floor. The green colored figures emerged from the floor, creating cracks in the ground. The vines began circling around the cage that Alyssa was trapped in. The vines sealed her off from the world, leaving her surrounded by vines. Greg flew towards her attempting to release her from her prison. Calantha quickly reacted to this, and used her plants to knock the dragon out of the sky. The earth dragon was sent back towards the entrance. Before Greg's body could come in contact with the solid wall, Brox intervened. The older brother caught his younger brother saving him from the brutal impact.

"Don't let your emotions get the better of you." He said, placing Greg down on the floor. "You know that you make hasty decisions when you get like this. Just calm down, and suppress them so that you can conjure up a brilliant strategy."

"Not under these circumstances." He said, looking at the bundle of vines that had Alyssa sealed off from the world.

"If you can't get a hold of yourself then there will be no one to save."

Greg looked back at his brother, and knew that he was right. If he attacked out of blind rage he would get nothing accomplished. Alyssa would remain trapped, and the two of them would most likely die due to his recklessness. "Alight then I'll keep myself in check."

"Now that sounds like the Greg I know." Brox said, smiling at his brother. "So how are we going to go about this?"

"We have to assess our opponent's strength and powers, before even coming up with a plan."

"So basically we just force her to use as much of her attacks as we can." Brox said.

"While we are doing this we have to observe the damage, range, and abilities of her attacks. Once I have enough information I'll know how to defeat her." Greg said.

"Alright then let's see what her plant element can do." Brox said, running towards the multiple vines.

"You finally decided to act." Calantha said, directing her vines towards Brox.

Brox ran across the room dodging several of Calantha's vines. The vines hit the ground sending small shockwaves through the room. A large vine made its way towards Brox, prompting the dragon to slash at it with his claws. His claws only made small slashes on the large vine. Brox braced himself for the hit he would soon be receiving. The large green substance made contact with the dragon's head, sending him sliding across the ground. As Brox slid across the ground smaller vines appeared from the ground. They enveloped the dragon's four paws, stopping his body.

"I'm not done with you yet." Calantha said, directing the small vines to bring him back to her.

Brox tried to power out of the vines wrapped around his legs, but it was no use. The vines' texture and tightness were too great for the earth dragon to break apart. While being dragged across the marble floor, Brox decided to try something else. He smashed the only thing still not wrapped by vines into the ground, his tail. The smash sent a small vibration throughout the marble floor. Calantha noticed the ground beneath her shift in an unfamiliar way.

"Let's see just how durable your vines are." Brox said, sliding his tail across the ground.

Calantha watched as the section of floor that Brox had been lying on split from the others. The large strip of marble floor slid towards Calantha with Brox on it. The strip of marble quickly cut across the base of the vines that had wrapped around Brox. The earth dragon, now free of the vines, began shape shifting the strip of floor so that its sides would be shaper and flatter. He also began shifting his paws across it increasing its speed. Greg watched as his brother surfed across the ground. The young dragon had a brave and courageous face, as he made his way towards the multiple large vines in front of him. The younger brother could not help, but admire his brother's tenacity. Brox entered the field of vines cutting cleanly through the large majority of the vines with his strip of floor.

"Let's see if your earth object can cut through multiple layered vines." Calantha said, wrapping herself in vines.

The large dragoness knew that her opponent would soon be using that strip of floor on her. The layers of vines that were wrapping around her would help her block the attack. Brox looked on as Calantha's entire body was wrapped in vines. He could no longer see her through all the layers of vines that she had wrapped around herself. Brox once again slid his paws across the strip of marble floor increasing its speed. Once he had the pace that he wanted the dragon hit the back end of the strip with his tail. The force from the hit sent both Brox and the strip of floor into the air. The marble strip began rotating in the air. Brox watched the strip carefully, and then hit it with his two hind paws. His paws made contact with the floor strip's sharp back side, cutting his hind paws a bit.

Brox ignored the pain, and pushed his hind legs forward, sending the large strip of marble floor towards Calantha. The object flew across the room, slicing up all the remaining vines. Greg watched as the marble strip cut across the layers of vines that Calantha had wrapped herself in. The object made a clean diagonal cut through the multiple layers of vines. It continued flying towards the wall at the end of the room, creating another diagonal cut. The object flew out of the castle, falling down towards the ground. The two brothers examined the damage the object had done. The layers of vines began falling apart from the cut that they had received. The brothers watched carefully waiting for Calantha's deceased body to appear.

"Where is she?" Brox asked, flapping his wings to remain afloat.

Unbeknownst to Brox a large vine was slowly moving towards him from underneath the ground. It made its way behind the earth dragon, and began burrowing towards the surface. While moving towards the surface a large pink and white flower bud sprouted on the vine's tip.

What's this? Greg asked himself, upon feeling strange movements from the ground beneath his paws.

The large vine pierced through the surface, and travelled through the air up to Brox. The large flower bud bloomed, revealing Calantha within it. She swiped her claws towards the clueless Brox. A sharp rotating marble piece hit against the dragoness's paw, creating a cut along her paw and wrist. Calantha let out a growl from the wound that she had received. This instantly alerted Brox of her whereabouts. The earth dragon turned around, and delivered a swift punch to her chest. The attack launched the dragoness towards a side wall. Her body hit against the wall with enough force that small cracks began forming. She fell towards the ground, landing on her paws. She looked at Greg with extreme hatred.

"How did you know?" She asked him.

"You should have hid your movements better while you were underground. Being an earth dragon, I was able feel all of your movements while you traveled through this floor." Greg stated.

"So have you come up with a plan yet?" Brox asked, landing at his brother's side.

"Yes, I have gathered enough information to come up with a suitable plan." He said.

"The two of you actually believe that I have demonstrated all of my powers to you." Calantha began to chuckle at his statement. "Let me show you the true nature of my element, Plant Element: Branching Trees."

Brox and Greg watched as a tree sprouted in the room in the blink of an eye. The tree then proceeded to move its roots through the ground beneath the dragons. The ground beneath their paws cracked in several places as the roots traveled through it. The two dragons felt the movement below the ground come to a sudden halt. The two prepared themselves for the worst. The branches instantly came out of the ground, piercing anything above floor level. The brothers did not have any time to use their earth element to protect them. Instead they relied on their speed to dodge as many tree branches as they could.

"Do you see now how useless it is to fight against someone who out classes you." Calantha shouted out.

"How much elemental energy do you have left, Brox?" Greg asked, dodging the branches with plenty effort.

"I only have about one-third left. I can probably pull off one big move. What about you," he said barely dodging a tree branch.

"I did not use that much during my last fight, and considering the energy that I regained. I would say about more than half."

"So then what do you have in mind? What will we use our energy on?" Brox asked.

Calantha continued commanding the tree to send more tree branches at them. She was surprised that they had lasted for as long as they had. The two were having a conversation while they dodged her attack. She guessed that they were forming some sort of plan. It did not bother her in the least because there was no plan in the world that would save them from her. Calantha watched as the larger brother stomped his front paws at the marble floor with tremendous force. The ground beneath her shook violently. The first thing that she noticed was that the tree branches stopped appearing from beneath the ground. She assumed that the dragon had shifted the ground in a way so that the tree's roots were being tampered with. The diagonal slash on the wall to the left of her caught her attention. She saw movement coming from the clouds, but instead of moving horizontal they moved vertical. The dragoness quickly saw that the entire room was shifting.

"What the hell are you doing?" She asked furiously.

"I guess I should stop now." Brox said, piercing his talons into the marble floor.

On the outside of the fortress the room that they had been in had shifted from the center of the fortress, and moved upwards near the top of it. All that remained in its place was a spot filled with tree branches. The room came to a steady halt once it reached the roof of the fortress.

"I'm impressed that such a young earth dragon was able to shift such a large object like that. All it did was buy you two sometime. Soon enough my tree's roots will come in contact with the ground once again and branches will once again be striking for your bodies." She said, smiling at them viciously.

"Do you honestly thing I did not plan for that." Greg said.

"We're not done quite yet," Brox said, moving his talons through the marble floor. A crack began spreading across the room from behind the two brothers. It reached one side of the room, and then began spreading across the right wall. The crack reached the ceiling, traveling across it as well. It eventually travelled down the left wall, reaching the floor once more. Brox eventually connected the crack to its starting point.

"What are you two up to?" Calantha asked.

Brox did not respond. Instead the earth dragon pulled his talons out of the marble surface. He then lifted up his front paws, and smashed them against the floor. The section of the room that the dragons where in split off from the fortress, bringing the large building to a halt. The large chunk fell towards the ground, dragging the dragons down with it. Greg immediately lifted up his two front paws, bringing the falling room to a halt. The dragon grinded his teeth, and tensed his muscles. Levitating such a large earth substance was pushing him to his limit.

"Finish it now Brox! In the air she has no sort of contact with plants, rendering her element useless." Greg said.

"How is he levitating this structure, and how was the other one able to separate said structure?" Calantha asked herself. I assumed that the purple dragon would be all I had to worry about, but these two are also a threat. Their manipulation and control over earth is astounding for their age. It seems as if I will have to use that move if I wish to defeat them.

Calantha stepped over towards the dying tree to her left. She placed her left paw on the dark brown bark. Her paw began entering the tree slowly. Then her entire left arm entered the tree. The dragoness was merging with the tree, letting her entire left side enter the tree. The tree began to turn from its dark brown color to a bright brown one. The leaves that had been lost regrew on its branches. The tree was being filled with life once more due to her actions.

"You underestimated my element, and now you will pay for it. Plant Element: Life Giving Merge." Calantha said.

Greg smiled, "Fight for as long as you are able to Brox."

"You got it." The older dragon said, rushing towards the tree and dragon hybrid.

Branches were once again showing, aiming at the dragons. Unlike last time the dragon was prepared for them. Brox jumped in the air, and landed back onto the ground. The shockwave forged large spikes throughout the room, clashing against the sharp tree branches.

"Earth Element: Earth Blow Transfer," Brox said, punching the left side wall with his fist.

The blow sent out a vibration throughout the wall, travelling towards Calantha. A large marble fist protruded from the wall, hitting Calantha. The fist crumbled into pieces upon making contact with the large dragoness. The right side of her body had received several scratches and bruises due to the attack. The plant dragoness ignored the pain that had surfaced from her right side. She was too focused on ending the dragons' lives.

"That wasn't enough, huh?" Brox said, flying across the multiple branches. "Well I wonder how you will handle this." His said, landing a couple of feet in front of her. The dragon smashed his tail against the floor, sending several marble tiles up into the air. "Earth Element: Flying Earth Fist Barrage," He said, hitting the tiles with his fists.

Brox's fists made contact with the marble tiles, sculpting them into marble fists. The impact from Brox sent the newly formed figures flying towards Calantha. In order to protect herself from the multiple fists, the dragoness gave more of her energy to the tree. With the newly acquired energy the tree was able to send out more branches from its body. Upon making contact with the enemy's attack, Brox's marble fists broke through the branches. Calantha watched as her branches snapped due to the power of her opponent's attack. The dragoness was assaulted by the barrage of marble fists. The fists impacted her entire body, and even created holes in the sturdy tree.

"Is that it?" Calantha asked, letting blood run out of her mouth. The attack had broken several ribs, caused internal bleeding, and left several bruises throughout her body. Even with all the damage she had received the dragoness refused to let the dragons win. There was still plenty of fight left within her.

"No, I can still go a couple of more rounds." Brox said, stomping his left hind leg on the ground, but to his surprise nothing happened.

"All out of energy are we?" Calantha said, smiling at the shocked dragon. "Well I guess then that you no longer stand a chance against me."

Calantha motioned for the tree to create more branches, but she did not receive what she wanted. The tree could not carry out her command, because it was no longer receiving any energy. She too had run out of energy.

"Just as I thought. You did a great job Brox," Greg said from across the room. "I knew that if we isolated you from the ground you would become desperate. Without contact with the ground you could not produce any plants. This would have led you to attempt something that would drain your elemental energy quickly. When you merged with the tree I knew that you had done just that. After that it was a simple matter of making you exert as much energy as we could possibly get you to."

Without any more energy and the condition that by body is in I can't hold them back. She thought, separating herself from the now dead tree.

"And now to rescue Alyssa," he said. The dragon opened up his wings full length. He then moved his arms down towards his chest, before opening them up to his side in one swift motion. The remaining walls in the floating structure were sent tumbling down. All of the tree branches, remaining plants, and marble debris were also knocked down towards the ground. The four dragons were now standing still on a single floating earth panel. Alyssa had been freed of the vines that had wrapped around her cage, letting her see once more.

"Are you guys okay?" She asked her two rescuers.

"We should be asking you that." Greg responded, assuming his regular stance. "Brox grab her quickly, and get out of here I'll handle the rest."

"Alright," he said, running towards her, but fell towards the ground due to overexerting himself in the battle.

"I won't let you two rescue her." Calantha said, reaching over towards the young dragoness's cage. The dragoness opened up her wings, and flew off of the pedestal. I won't let you take what is most precious to me.

"No!" Greg yelled out upon seeing Calantha fly off with Alyssa.

Greg's break in concentration caused the earth panel to fall back down towards the ground. He opened up his wings, and was about to fly after them until he saw that Brox was also falling. As much as he struggled letting them go, he needed to save his brother. He flew down towards his brother, and caught him in mid-air, saving him from the brutal impact with the ground. He continued flying down until they reached the ground. He placed his brother down.

"Go and get them Greg. I can't move at the moment the rest is up to you." Brox said.

"Are you sure you'll be alright?" He asked.

"Yes, I can take care of myself now go."

Greg did as he was told. He separated a medium sized chunk off of the earth panel. He stepped on it, and levitated it up into the air. He looked across the horizon, and could barely see Calantha. He looked a bit further ahead, and saw something that completely surprised him. He could see that The Earth City stood out in the horizon. Calantha was flying towards it.
