Two weeks before the prom massacre

Chamberlain Ewen High School

Carrie was in her morning gym class, she came out of the locker room wearing a black swimsuit while holding a towel, because she and the other girl students are playing pool volleyball today. She was not a big fan of gym class since she was not very skillful in sports, plus the other girls always laughed at her whenever Carrie messed up during class. Carrie White is now 17 years old and things have not gone well in her life in the last decade. By this point Carrie felt like a joke to all of the kids at school and it has been like that ever since elementary school. During the last twelve years of her life Carrie has become a social outcast and nothing has change for the better. She is still being harassed by the same bullies she grew up with, Chris Hargensen, Tina Blake, Sue Snell, Norma Watson, and just about everyone else she can think of. Her mother has become more mentally ill, because Margaret believes that anything in today's world is a sin. Carrie cares about her religion to, but she feels that her mother is taking it way too seriously. She has tried so hard to fit in and be normal like the other kids, but it always goes downhill for her no matter what Carrie does. When Carrie was eight years old her mother allowed her to go to a Christian summer camp to hopefully make new friends, but it turned into a nightmare. Most of the kids played pranks on her such as stealing her underwear and hiding it, or put a fake rubber snake in Carrie's shoe just to scare her. When she went hiking with the other camp members Carrie accidentally urinated in a bush with poison ivy, this made everyone laugh and they tormented her even more. One time when she was swimming in the camp lake the kids decided to dunk Carrie's head in the water and this frightened her so much, because she kept begging them to step when she couldn't breathe. This led to her being sent home early with her mother, because Carrie got so upset after that horrible experience and started crying. Margaret then decided to not let her daughter get involved in any activities and she told Carrie to go to her closet to pray for forgiveness.

As the years progressed it only got worse, when Carrie got older she started to become less pretty. Her face was covered with a lot of pimples, Carrie's hair became more greasy, she had to continue wearing clothes that were outdated, and she also gained a little bit of weight too. Carrie wasn't fat, but she is a little chunky and this is basically how Carrie ended up looking the way she is today. Even during High school all of the kids who bullied her would always find a way to humiliate Carrie. One day when Carrie was in study hall she accidentally fell asleep and a boy named Billy Preston put peanut butter in her hair. Carrie got so upset that she went to the bathroom and spent a half hour trying to wash it all off in the sink while she cried the whole time. And it is not just pranks, but the students also call her names and knock her books on the ground when she's walking down the hallway. Either way Carrie always ends up being bullied no matter what and it never stops. She watched as the other girls come out of the locker room wearing swim suits too, Carrie tried to not make eye contact with them, because she feels that will lead to one of them making fun of her or calling her creepy Carrie. "Just don't do anything to attract attention and they'll leave you alone." Carrie thought to herself as she waited for class to start. The earlier class was for the boy students who were practicing swimming laps in the pool. All of the male students started exiting the pool and headed for their locker room so the girls can use the pool for their class. During that time the other girls were chatting about how they're all excited for the upcoming senior prom this month, Sue Snell was talking to her friend Heather Shyres about what kind of dress she wants to wear for the prom. As the two continued to talk Sue's boyfriend Tommy Ross walked over to her to give Sue a hug and kiss. Sue had been dating Tommy since sophomore year and they have been dating a lot ever since. Carrie noticed them kissing and this made her feel a little jealous inside, because she to has a crush on Tommy Ross as well. She did not know Tommy very much, but Carrie believes that he's more nicer than most of the other boys at school, because he doesn't pick on her. Carrie remembers the first time she met Tommy Ross, it was during her junior year when she studying the library. She was busy sitting at a table reviewing notes for a history test and Tommy was sitting a few feet away from her reading a textbook for math. During that moment Jackie Tablot saw Carrie and decided to insult her. He even went out of his way to knock her notes on the floor just to annoy her, this caught Tommy's attention and he decided to stop it. Tommy walked over to where Carrie was and told Jackie to leave her alone. Jackie was surprised by how Tommy stood up for her so he decided to leave before he got into a fight with him. Tommy helped Carrie pick up her history notes and also gave her a pat on the shoulder to make her feel better. Carrie wanted to say thank you, but she was afraid to speak, because she was too shy.

Sometimes Carrie imagines being together with Tommy and living happily ever after, but she knew deep down that will never happen, because he's dating Sue Snell. "Tommy is so kind, he never says anything mean to me, I just wish he would notice me more, but I don't blame him, I'm just a punching bag waiting to be made fun of for no reason." Carrie thought to herself . That was when the girl's gym teacher Rita Desjardin entered the gym room to tell the students to get in the pool "Alright girls its time for pool volleyball." Miss Desjardin said as she was taking attendance on her clip board. As most of the girls get their swimming caps on and go in the pool Miss Desjardin saw Sue and Tommy kissing "Sue Snell and Tommy Ross come on, no making out during gym class." Miss Desjardin said. Tommy said goodbye to Sue as she headed to the pool, before he went to the locker room Tommy noticed Carrie and he waved along with smiling at her just to be nice. Carrie saw him wave to her and she felt happy so she smiled and nodded a little as way to reply back, because she was still shy to talk to him. As Tommy entered the men's locker room Chris Hargensen saw Carrie smiling at Tommy decided to say something to her. "Hey freak what are you happy about?" Chris said in an intimidating tone "Ohuh….nothing" Carrie responded as she now started to feel nervous. "Yeah right wipe that smile off your face, you look like a dork." Chris said as she started walking into the pool. Carrie then stopped smiling and went back to staying quiet in order to not draw anymore attention. That was when Miss Desjardin noticed Carrie was the last one to not enter the pool yet so she blew her whistle to get Carrie's attention before it gets more complicated. Carrie got a little spooked when she heard the sound of the whistle, because she was not always use to the loud sound it makes when the teacher uses it in class. "Carrie class is starting so you need to get into the pool now." Miss Desjardin said "Sorry Miss Desjardin." Carrie replied as she put her swimming cap on and entered the pool. As the girls started playing pool volleyball Carrie tried to avoid being part of the game by standing on the sidelines most of the time. Carrie knew that she tried participating in any sport during gym class she'll end up embarrassing herself, which will lead up to all of the girls laughing at her. "Everything will be alright, I just have to get through one more month of school, and then after graduation I will never have to see any of these girls ever again." Carrie thought to herself as she tried not to say a word during gym class. Towards the near end of class Miss Desjardin told the girls to stay focus during the rest of the game and not goof off, just because their senior year of high school is almost over. "Come on ladies pay attention." Miss Desjardin reminded them to finish the rest of pool volleyball since there was only fifteen minutes left of class. At that same moment one of the girls hits the volleyball over to the other side of the net and it lands by where Carrie was standing. Everybody turned their heads and looked at her knowing that she might mess up the game somehow, Carrie felt really nervous now since she was not familiar with the rules of the game. "Alright Carrie White, get Carrie into the game. You can't stand on the sidelines all the time. Carrie serves the ball now." Miss Desjardin said as she waited for Carrie to pick up the volleyball and hit it over the net. Carrie tries to hit the ball hard over the net, but she accidentally hits Sue Snell on the back of her head. "OW" Sue said as she turns around looking at Carrie. At first Carrie was afraid that Sue was going to say something mean to her, because once in awhile she did make fun of Carrie, but not all of the time. Sue wasn't as mean to Carrie White as Chris and Tina were to her, although there were times when she did get annoyed with Carrie. Just when it looked like Carrie was about to be bullied again during gym class Chris Hargensen started laughing at how Sue Snell got hit in the head and some of the other girls joined in on it as well. "Oh my god I can't believe she hit you with the ball its so hilarious." Chris said as tried to hold in her laugh "Ha, ha, ha so very funny Chris." Sue replied in a sarcastic voice. Carrie kind of smiled too, because she felt relieved that the bullies did not insult her even after her embarrassing mistake of accidentally hitting Sue on the back of her head with the volley ball. "You eat shit." Chris said to Carrie, this made Carrie feel upset again, because now all of the girls started laughing at her.

After pool volleyball was over Miss Desjardin told her students to go to the locker room and get changed. They all went inside and quickly showered up and started and getting dressed for their next class. Carrie waited until all of the other girls were done using the showers, because she did not like being naked in front of everyone else. Carrie wished that the school had private bathrooms to use, but that would never happen so she just had to live with it. She made sure to stay quiet and not say anything while the other girls were finishing up getting changed, because sometimes the students would make fun of her body when she didn't have any clothes on. Carrie walked into the shower area of the locker room while wearing a towel around her body. When she got to one of the showerheads to use she unwrapped the towel around her and placed it on a hanger. Carrie then turned on the showerhead and started washing her hair, after that she grabbed a bar of soap to wash her body. During that same time she tried to forget about all of the mean things Chris said to her earlier in class and just think positive. As she continued cleaning herself with the bar of soap something did not feel right. Carrie felt something moving down in between her legs and it wasn't the water from the shower. She looked down at her legs and her eyes were shocked at she saw, it was blood. Carrie started feeling nervous after she dropped the bar of soap to the ground, because she did not know what was happening to her, all she knew was that blood was coming out of her vagina and it started to scare her. What Carrie didn't know was that she was having her first period and her mother never told her about it. Carrie has a fear of blood and seeing it coming out in between her legs frightened her even more, as she looked at the sight of blood on her hands she started thinking nervously. "Oh my god, I am bleeding to death, and I don't know what to do." Carrie thought to herself, in that moment Carrie screamed in terror feeling scared by the sight of blood on her hands.

"HELP, HELP ME." Carrie screamed as quickly grabbed the towel from the hanger and wrapped it around her body. She ran out of the shower room area and tried to seek help from the other girls, Carrie also started panicking, because she really believed that she was going to die. Carrie quickly spotted Sue Snell talking with her friends so without hesitating Carrie rushed over to her hoping that either she or the other girls will help. She grabbed onto Sue's white shirt that she was wearing to get her attention, but when she looked at Carrie, Sue immediately pushed her away a little. "Get off me you freak." Sue said as she was confused by why Carrie grabbed her in the first place "Sue please help me." Carrie begged as she tried to calm down. Chris and the other girls saw what was going on since they were standing next to Sue the whole time "Oh my god look what she did to my shirt." Sue said after she noticed the bloody hand print on her white shirt that Carrie left when she grabbed her a few seconds ago. "I think I'm bleeding to death." Carrie said as she was still panicking by the sight of blood on her hands "Eww you're so disgusting Carrie." Tina Blake said standing a few feet away from Carrie. "You don't understanding there is blood coming out of me and I think I'm dying." Carrie explained as she started losing her patience, after a few seconds examining the blood on her legs Chris realized what was going on and started laughing about. "She's having her period and the freak doesn't even know what it is." Chris said as she continued to laugh, this also caused the other girls giggle at Carrie as well. Even Sue laughed about too, because she was shocked by how Carrie didn't know that she was only having her period. "PLEASE HELP ME." Carrie screamed hoping for the girls to help her with her situation. "Its just your period." Chris said as she opened the nearest tampon dispenser in the locker room and grabbed a bunch of tampons for the other girls to throw at Carrie.

As Carrie continued to beg for help from the other girls, Chris and her friends all started throwing tampons at her while laughing at the same time. Sue at first joined in on it with her friends, but then quickly stopped, because she started feeling guilty for what she was doing to Carrie. During that same moment Carrie accidentally slipped on the floor when she tried to back away from the bullies who were throwing stuff at her. She did not get hurt, but at the same time Carrie got so upset that she started crying, because nobody would help her. Chris's friends Tina, Nicki, lizzie, Jessica, Heather, Norma, and Vicki all started chanting "Plug it up" to Carrie while Chris decided to take her IPhone out and film Carrie at the same time. "PLUG IT UP, PLUG IT UP, PLUG IT UP" All of the girls chanted as they continue to throw tampons at Carrie "STOP IT PLEASE HELP ME." Carrie cried out as tears started coming out of her eyes. Sue Snell was still watching the whole time and she didn't say or do anything to stop it, because she felt bad about throwing tampons at Carrie. That was when Miss Desjardin entered the scene, because she could hear the girls chanting from her office. "Girls slide, move ladies, ladies." Miss Desjardin said, as she made her way through the crowd of students, she finds Carrie White all wet and curled up naked on the floor crying and wrapped up in her towel, which started to get covered in blood. "Oh my god, ok honey stand up lets get you cleaned up." Miss Desjardin said to Carrie, in that same moment Carrie grabbed on to Miss Desjardin's blue skirt, because she was still upset and kept begging for help. "Please help me, it hurts so much, I do not want to die." Carrie said as she continued to cry. Miss Desjardin gently removed Carries right hand off her blue skirt, but it left a bloody handprint on it "Carrie calm down what are you talking about?" Miss Desjardin asked politely while starting to get confused by what was going on. Sue Snell walked over to Miss Desjardin to help explain what was happening "Miss Desjardin I don't she knows it's her period." Sue said to her teacher, Miss Desjardin was surprised by this, because she could not believe how Carrie White didn't know what a period was. "No, No, NOOOO." Carrie screamed as she started to become more hysteric "Sue get back alright you're not helping" Miss Desjardin ordered Sue as she backed away from her teacher. "Hey, hey Carrie come on snap out of it." Miss Desjardin said as she slapped Carrie on the left cheek. She did not hit her too hard, it was only a light tap with her right hand, but she felt guilty hitting Carrie in the face just to snap her out of it. Carrie eventually calmed down, but was still shaken up from the sight of blood that was on her hands, Miss Desjardin did apologize to Carrie for slapping her and also tried to comfort her at the same time. All of the students were shocked after seeing their teacher slap Carrie in the face, "Alright all of you go finish getting change and get to your next class now." Miss Desjardin said to the other girls. All of the students did what the teacher told them to do and at the same Miss Desjardin tried to help Carrie get cleaned up. "Carrie it's alright you're not dying. You're just having your period its totally normal. Do you know what it means?" Miss Desjardin explained to her "No I don't what it means." Carrie said softly. Miss Desjardin gave Carrie a hug to help make her feel better and during that same time a light bulb on the ceiling explodes randomly. The students saw that as they headed back to their lockers to get change, this scared Miss Desjardin and Carrie a little bit, but they forgot about it afterwards.

Hello everyone I really hope you enjoyed reading this new chapter I put together. This one was a little bit hard to write, because I wanted to make sure I used material from both the novel and the 2013 versions of "CARRIE". Anyways I will make sure that the next part of the story will be updated soon and I promise the chapter will not be too long or short for you to read. Thank you so much for reading this and have a good day.
