A/N: Alternate Storyline involving Erika Turner. This story is similar to Bond Unbreakable however in this version Grace Williams does not lose her memory. The original title was going to be "My Name is Grace" This was the original idea that the final draft of Bond Unbreakable came from. These chapters focus on Grace's experience with Erika. Grace knows who she is and Erika goes to some extremes to convince her otherwise. Everything that happens on Danny's end is the same. These additions center around Erika and Grace. As well as what happens after 5-0 finds her. I have to say the Erika Turner character developed a lot as I wrote her for Bond Unbreakable. For example I established that she had a short fused temper. It was interesting to see how that played out with Grace not losing her memory and how Erika reacts to being rejected by her. I will say there is abuse and violence in this version. I've will write a short summary at the beginning of each chapter so you know what Danny is doing during each chapter. As I said above all that he does during Bond Unbreakable is also being done in this story. This first chapter is Grace's first day at Erika's house. It is Day 2 because it takes place after Danny and Grace's day at the beach.

My Name is Grace

Day 2 Morning

Danny and the rest of 5-0 have begun the search for Grace. Steve called a press conference and the team spends most of the day checking out tips. Later in the evening the team drugs Danny with his pain medication in order to get him to rest.

Grace felt the pain in her neck first. She tried to open her eyes, but for some reason she seemed to not be able to do it. Grace couldn't understand why she was so tired. She didn't realize that she was drifting off again.

The neck pain woke her up again, however this time, she was able to open her eyes slightly. Grace looked up at the blurry white ceiling. She groaned and rubbed the dull ache in the back of her neck. She rolled over onto her side. She squinted at the light coming in through the window. Grace stared at the window a moment before she realized that it was on the wrong wall. She looked down at the bed and saw that the bedspread she was on top of wasn't hers. She noticed was still wearing the same clothes from when she had come home from the beach with Danno.

"Danno," she whispered as she searched her fuzzy memory for answers.

It took a moment, but remembered seeing Danno lying on the floor by the front door. She had gone to him and called Uncle Steve on her cell for help. She remembered him answering and then there was nothing. No wait. She had a blurred memory of laying down in the back of a car, or had she dreamed that. Grace wasn't sure.

Grace sat up on the strange bed and looked around. She rubbed her neck once again. The pain was subsiding some. Grace's heart began to pound as she examined the unfamiliar room. Her fear multiplied as when she looked at the open closet. She recognized several of the blouses, skirts, and other articles of clothing. Sweat covered her hands as she got off the bed to take a closer look. There was no doubt in her mind that the clothes were hers. Grace turned around only to find other familiar items from her bedroom in this strange place. Books, posters, and art supplies were among them. Who had taken her and why had they taken her things too? She decided immediately that she didn't want to find out.

Grace made her way to the door and twisted the handle. It was locked. She twisted harder even though she knew it wouldn't do any good. She moved back in frustration. Grace was trying to figure out what to do next when she heard a noise at the door. A lock clicked and a moment later the door opened.

Erika Turner's heart pounded with excitement as she opened the door. She had been listening for hours for the little girl in the other room to show signs of being awake. It had been so long since she had seen her daughter and she was anxious to rekindle their relationship. She had a lot of time to make up for.

Erika smiled at Grace as she opened the door. This confused Grace. The woman was acting like nothing was wrong. Grace thought she looked a little familiar, but couldn't quite place her.

Erika stood in the doorway smiling knowing that any second her daughter was going to recognize her and come running into her arms. Instead, Grace took a step back. Erika's smile faded away as she moved back towards wall.

"Cassie?" Erika whispered taking a step into the bedroom.

Grace pressed her back against the wall.

"Cassie?" Erika said again.

Grace still did not respond in the way Erika expected. Erika took several steps into the room. Grace tried to figure out how she could get around this stranger and out the door without getting grabbed.

"Sweetie?" Erika asked, "Don't you recognize me, Cassie?"

Grace realized that this woman was calling her Cassie.

"I know it's been a long time since you've been here, but if you think back you'll remember."

"Remember what?" Grace asked cautiously hoping to get more information.

Erika couldn't help but laugh a little.

"Remember me silly girl," she said playfully.

The look of confusion on Grace's face increased. It then hit her that she had seen this woman yesterday on the beach. She had been in line behind her at the shaved ice shack and had returned her hat.

"You were at the beach yesterday," Grace said.

"And when you were five. . . ." Erika began.

"I've never seen you before yesterday," Grace said suddenly.

"Cassie, I-," Erika tried again.

"Grace," Grace interrupted, "My name is Grace Williams not Cassie."

A stunned look came over Erika's face for a brief moment.

"No, sweetie, your name is Cassie. You were taken away from me six years ago, but it's okay because I found and saved you. You and I are back together and you are back where you belong."

The smile on Erika's face widened as she finished speaking. She expected that any moment she would see a relieved look come across the little girl's face and she would remember everything about who she was and their life together. Erika stared and waited, but instead of smiling Grace's eyes began to fill with tears. Erika's smile disappeared as tears rolled down her cheeks.

"I told you my name is Grace Williams. It's not Cassie. I've never been here before." Grace sobbed as she spoke.

"Cassie, I'm your mother. I can't believe you don't remember me," Erika said hurtfully.

"You are not my mother!" Grace suddenly screamed, "My mother's name is Rachel Edwards. . . My father's name is Danny Willia-"

Grace stopped cold as Erika hastily closed the gap between them. Her hand came up and across Grace's face. Grace gasped as her face began to sting with pain. She looked up at Erika's face. Her expression had changed drastically from hopeful to furious. Grace brought her hand up to her face as more tears fell from her eyes.

"I want to go home," she wailed, "I want my dad."

Erika raised her hand again. Grace ducked her head down and covered it with her hands. She squeezed her eyes shut and waited to be hit again. Nothing happened. Grace looked up in time to see Erika turn and head for the door. By the time Grace regained her composure and was able to follow the door was closed and she heard a lock click into place.

Grace grabbed for the knob and twisted even though she knew it wouldn't work. She continued to tug on it with one hand and started pounding against the wood with the other.

Erika sat on the couch and rubbed her temples. That did not go the way it was supposed to. She couldn't believe that her own daughter didn't remember her. She must have been brainwashed or something like that. Erika could hear pounding coming from her daughter's bedroom. This wasn't right. Her daughter was home where she belonged. The two of them were supposed to pick up where they left off. It was supposed to be like a fairy tale. She would rescue her daughter and then the two of them would live happily ever after. That is how Erika had imagined it as she had searched over the past few months.

Erika listened as the little girl on the other side of the door as she struck the door and begged to be let out. Erika thought about what to do next. She would have to convince Cassie of who she was. Until then Erika would have to keep Cassie in her room and keep her quiet. She was making quite a racket and it wouldn't do Erika any good to have a neighbor come snooping around.

Erika stood up off the couch and went into the kitchen. She dug through a drawer and pulled out a roll of duct tape. She looked at it a moment, thinking, and put it on her wrist like a bracelet.

Erika hurried into her bedroom and looked through her nightstand. She pulled out a pair of handcuffs that she enjoyed using when she had sex. Erika pulled in a few deep breaths as she looked at the items in her hands. She drove the guilt she felt from her mind. This wasn't her fault. It was Cassie's. If she would just remember who she was then Erika wouldn't have to do this. Cassie had been a stubborn 5 year old. Erika supposed that it shouldn't surprise her that her daughter was now a stubborn 11 year old. With determination Erika hurried out of her room. She produced a key from her pocket and unlocked the door.

Grace took a step back as she heard the lock click and the knob began to turn. For a brief moment the little girl thought that the woman had come to her senses. The feeling of relief disappeared when she saw what the woman was holding in her hands. Grace's eyes widened in fear. She quickly glanced at the open door and bolted. She tried to knock the taller woman out of the way and get past. As their bodies collided a hand grabbed Grace's upper arm while the other grabbed a hold of her pony tail. Grace cried out in pain as Erika pulled hard on her hair.

"Let go of me!" Grace screamed as she put her hand on top of Erika's trying to relieve some of the pain on the top of her head.

Erika took advantage of Grace's pain and pushed her back into the room and towards the bed. Erika threw Grace onto the bed. Grace landed on her stomach and Erika's knee drilled into her back keeping her on top of covers. Erika grabbed hold of Grace's wrists and held them together behind her back. Using her teeth and her other hand she pulled the end up on the tape and began to wrap it around Grace's wrists. The little girl cried out, but was unable to wriggle out from underneath Erika's knee. Grace could hear the tape as it was transferred from the roll to her hands. Erika didn't remove her knee until Grace's hand were secure behind her. Erika stood up and grabbed one of Grace's legs. Grace sobbed as her ankle was put into into one cuffs while the other was put fastened to the bed frame.

"Please," Grace begged, "I want to go home."

Tears continued to stream down her face as she spoke. Erika didn't answer as she stood up. She picked up the duct tape and pulled off a small strip. She placed it over Grace's mouth. Erika stood again and looked down at the little girl.

"You brought this on yourself," Erika said without sympathy, "If you just remembered who you are, Cassie."

Erika stared down at her for a moment more before she left the room shutting the door behind her.

Grace felt helpless as she tried to loosen the tape. She gave up trying to get it off her hands after only a few minutes. Erika had wrapped the tape fairly tight about her wrists. There was no way she was going to be getting it off by herself. Grace pulled at the cuff that connected her ankle to the bed frame. She hoped that maybe she could get it off by breaking the frame or maybe snapping the chain off the cuffs. If she could free her ankle then she could get over to the window. Maybe she could break it or get someone's attention. The cuff clanged against the metal of the bed frame, but neither gave way.

Grace's heart sank. She had hoped that the cuffs were not at strong as the ones that Danno and Uncle Steve used. She was wrong.

Tears filled Grace's eyes as her thoughts turned to Danno once again. She thought about the last time she had seen him lying unconscious on the floor of their house. She wondered if he was okay. Her stomach twisted from worry. Her tears rolled down her cheeks and onto the bed spread. Why was this happening to her? Grace knew who she was. Why was this woman so insistent that she was someone else?

It now made sense why Grace's clothes were in the closet and why there were so many of her things in the room. The woman had no intention of letting her go. This thought only made the worry knots in her stomach larger.

Grace began to wonder who Cassandra was and where she was. Over the next few hours she thought about all these questions and whether or not Danno was okay and coming for her.

Erika entered the room carrying a plate with a sandwich, carrot sticks, and apple slices. Grace was suddenly reminded that she hadn't had anything to eat since she had shared the shaved ice with Danno on the beach. Had that only been yesterday? Grace's stomach growled as if on cue. Erika looked down at the frightened little girl.

"I'll take the tape off your mouth is you promise not to scream," she said.

Grace nodded without hesitation. If no one had heard the noise she had been making earlier then chances were making more noise now would not do anything except make Erika angry. Erika reached down and gently pulled the tape away from her lips.

"Are you hungry?" Erika asked even though she had heard the little girl's growling stomach.

Grace nodded again. Erika sat down on the edge of the bed and picked up of one of the sandwich halves. She held it to Grace's lips. Grace took a large bite, quickly chewed, and swallowed. Grace finished the sandwich half in five bites. Erika then offered her a carrot stick and apple slice. Grace waited for more as she swallowed the apple. Erika instead set the plate on the nightstand next to the bed. Erika looked at Grace with burrowing eyes.

"What's your name?" she asked quietly.

Grace was confused for a moment and said nothing. Erika repeated the question.

"Grace Williams," Grace whispered after a moment more.

Erika narrowed her eyes at Grace, shook her head, and stood up. Without another word she picked up the plate and left the room locking the door behind her. Grace was completely stunned. Her stomach, while no longer empty was far from being full. Grace thought about what woman had just done. She closed eyes and hoped that the next time she opened them Danno would be there.

Erika came in again a few hours later with another plate.

"I have to go to the bathroom," Grace said.

"What's your name?" Erika asked.

Grace's heart sank remembering what had happened last time.

"Grace Williams," Grace said through gritted teeth.

Erika turned to walk out as she had done before.

"Look lady," Grace called after her calling up as much bravery as she could muster, "If you don't let me go take care of this properly then I swear I will take care of it on top of this bed."

Erika stopped and faced the little girl surprised at her tone. Her first thought was to smack her smart ass mouth, but she thought about the threat. So far she had continued to be stubborn about admitting who she really was. As Grace glared at her with an angry expression Erika came to the conclusion that she had made not an empty threat. The last thing Erika wanted to do was clean up a mess like that.

"Fine," Erika said, "I'll be right back."

She left and returned a minute later with a small key. Grace breathed a sigh of relief as the pressure was taken off her ankle. Grace saw that the cuff had left a red sore ring around her ankle. Erika took a hold of Grace's elbow and helped her to her feet. She kept hold of her elbow as she guided Grace out of the room. First, Erika stopped in the kitchen and grabbed a knife from a wooden block. She also grabbed the roll of duct tape once again. Then she led Grace to the bathroom door.

"Hold still," Erika ordered.

She carefully sawed through the tape. Grace felt more relief as she shook out her stiff wrists.

"You have three minutes," Erika said.

Grace entered the room and locked the door. The only window in the room was small and practically at the ceiling above the shower. Even if Grace could get up there she was certain she wouldn't be able to fit through. She sighed and went on with what she needed to do. When she was done she quickly washed her hands, but kept the faucet running. She cupped her hands under the running water and brought it to her lips. She hadn't had anything to drink all day and her throat was dry. She took in several gulps before needing to stop so she could breath. She repeated it again, but decided to stop after that. She didn't want to have to ask to come back in the next couple of hours. Grace turned off the faucet and reluctantly opened the door. She had thought about trying to bolt past Erika, but that thought passed upon seeing the knife still in her hand.

"If you tell me your name then I won't have to keep you locked in your room, Cassie," Erika said.

Grace scowled and didn't answer. Erika suddenly grabbed one of Grace's wrists and slammed her into the wall. Grace's hands were pulled behind her back and her sore wrists were once again bound. Grace didn't struggle. She was feeling weak from the lack of food and decided to conserve her strength. Erika pulled her back to the bedroom, laid her down on the bed, and fastened the cuff over her ankle. Grace watched her place the key inside the nightstand drawer. Erika didn't say a word to Grace. She picked up the plate and left as she had done before except this time she shut off the light. This once again left Grace alone to contemplate Erika's behavior.

Was that woman going to try and starve her into admitting that her name was Cassandra?

Grace shook her head in anger and frustration. No, she wouldn't do it. Obviously, Erika didn't want her to starve to death otherwise she wouldn't have given her the little bit of food earlier in the day. Grace could hold out. She made up her mind then and there to be strong.

A/N: So let me know what you think. I'll admit that one of the reason's I was hesitant to post this was because we see more of Erika's delusional nature and the extremes that she is willing to go to get what she wants. Erika was pretty tame until Jason Cortman threatened to take Grace away from her well except for tasering Grace and Danny. In this version we get more of an idea of Erika's character from right from the beginning. And it is only going to get worse for Grace before it gets better. Another reason I was hesitant was I wrote an alternate ending for Fire Walls and Passwords. Anyway I hope you enjoyed. Please review and thanks for reading. More to come soon, I hope, the term ends this week which means I may or may not have time to work on this again before next weekend.
