Conversations

Kyoko stared at her phone as the confusion from the day doubled as Ren's named flashed across its screen, she had managed to convince herself that her dinner with Lin had been fine, till she had checked her phone and saw the missed call from Ren.

She chewed on her lip feeling the guilt from earlier clawing at her stomach, what if she screwed up, what if Ren found out and didn't want to see her anymore. Kyoko felt panic flood her.

Kyoko took a deep breath and listened to the message on her phone.

"Hi Kyoko, I hope the rest of day was good, I'm working pretty late tonight myself. There been a few problems with the theft set, so it's gone over time, but don't worry Yashiro-san made sure I ate a healthy dinner .Anyway I was just calling to see if you wanted a lift tomorrow morning . Oh anyway I've got to go"

Kyoko sighed as she ended the call. What she needed was some advice and she could only think of one person .Kyoko searched her Contacts till she came on the name she was looking for.

The phone rang a few time and then click over "hi this is Kane, please leave a message, and I'll try and get back to you as soon as possible"

"Kanae I'm so confused , I don't know what to do .I mean Tsuruga san never said what it was and Lin asked me out ,which was nice and now I feel like an evil queen , what if he doesn't want me and it was only meant to be a one night thing ,I don't know what to do , Ren called and I don't know if I should tell him about Lin, Kanae I need help"

The phone beeped signalling that her time had ended and she sighed and dropped the phone onto her futon beside her .

It was only five minutes later when her phone ring

"Moshi, Moshi"

"Kyoko your messages made no sense at all ,what have you been doing while I've been in Sapporo"

"Oh kanae it's such a mess, I'm completely in love with Ren and last night we ,well you know together "

"You had sex with Tsuruga-san " shouted a shocked voice down the other side of the phone line "so are you together finally ?"

"No , I don't think so, it just kind of happened , happens "

"It just happens, Kyoko sex between you and Tsuruga-san didn't just happen. You two have been dancing around each other for the last year and a half . And I would be willing to bet his been in love with you for at least two."

"Ren is not in love with me , and he never will be. That why I went to dinner with Lin tonight , but that just made me feel like I was betraying Ren "

" Kyoko I've seen it, he love you . He would walk on fire for you .and if you don't believe me , next time you see him I dare you to ask him to get you the Cinderella bracelet and if he does you'll know I'm right."

"No one would buy me the Cinderella bracelet it's cost a fortune and has been on display for like twenty years "

" Then you have nothing to lose by asking , now tell me about this Lin guy ."

"Well he a photographer I've worked with a couple of time, we went to dinner today at this French restaurant. I don't know should I tell Ren about it "

"I don't know ,do you really think you can hide it from him "

Kyoko shook her head "Probably not "

"Then there's your answer, beside it didn't mean anything did it?"

"No, I mean his nice and all but no."

"Them I'm sure Tsuruga-san will understand, after all you just have dinner with a new friend."

Thank you Kanae, well I'll let you go"

"Good night Kyoko "

The phone disconnected and Kyoko felt calm and refreshed .It had been too long since she had talked to Kanae. Kyoko lay down on her bed and felt sleep slowly filling her limb

Ring, ring

The sound caused her to jump in shock; she reached down and grabbed her phone sleepily answering

"Hello?"

"Kyoko, sorry to call so late but you never got back to me"

"Ren?" she asked trying to kick start her brain again "what question"

"About giving you a lift in tomorrow "

"Oh sorry, yes I would love that. How was day "

"It was long, I only just finished and I'm about to go home. Are you doing anything now?"

"No, well I was planning on sleeping"

"Sleep is overrated, I could come pick you up on the way and we could hangout?"

"Ren it's like eleven thirty," she looked at her clock shaking her head." we have to be at the set for seven tomorrow"

"Even more reason to come around, that way we can sleep in a little."

"That doesn't make any sense Ren, but I wouldn't mind hanging out"

Ren laughed happily "good because I'm outside your house, so grabs some clothes and meet me downstairs"

Kyoko walked to her window and looked down, Ren stood leaning against the hood of his car the breeze, moving his hair, he looked breathtaking. He spotted her and waved. She waved back and then went about gathering the things she would need for tomorrow.

Ren watched as Kyoko descended the stairs that lead from the restaurant she stayed above , he walked up to her .When she was within arm's reach he pulled her body close to his and placed a soft kiss on her lips.

"Good evening," he reached over and grabbed the bag from her and then took her hand with his other. He placed it on the back seat before opening the front door for her.

As soon as they arrived at his apartment Ren dropped her things to the floor and pulled her body towards him again. His mouth ravished hers and he moved them towards his couch. Kyoko pulled herself away from him. And sat down.

"So what made the problems on the theft set?"

Ren sat down beside her, taking her hand in his and drawing circles on the inside of her wrist. "Turns out one of my co- stars is pregnant and more than half the locations have become unusable for some reason." he ran his hand up her arm and into her hair. Which he stroked lovingly "it was all rather boring, but I'll be working with Kijima again so it's bound to get more interesting"

"So are they going to find someone to replace your pregnant co-star or can she keep working"

Ren lent forward and placed small kisses on her neck. " her managed and the director have set up a schedule for filming that should enable her to be done before she starts showing ,Its lucky her role is only small otherwise they definitely would have rehired ."

"That is lucky for her then" she said slightly distracted as he placed open mouth kisses along throat and pulled her body closer to him. He settled her onto his lap and wrapped his hand around her back. One hand slipping over her shirt and up her spine.

"How was the rest of your day?"

"The photo shoot went all day, there were so many dresses. Julie is an amazing designer and Lin-san is such a good photographer, did you know he started his career in France he was telling me about it over dinner."

Ren hand stilled on her back and he moved his head away from her. "Dinner? Did Julie go with you too?"

Kyoko swallowed and looked into Ren eyes shaking her head "no, it was just me and Lin-san"

"Alone, you had dinner with Lin, alone" he said pulling away from her completely.

"Yes he asked me to dinner after the shoot had finished." she whispered softly hoping that if she said it lightly, the waves of angry she felt coming from Ren would die down. Ren stood up and started pacing in front of the couch he paused briefly and asked "and you accepted his invitation" in a voice filled with sadness

Kyoko looked at him trying to understand his reaction but kept coming up blank, she had not excepted sadness. Maybe anger or disappointment.

"Yes, was that wrong?" is inquired again softly. And the anger that Kyoko had been excepting suddenly appeared on his

"Wrong, wrong "he laughed bitterly "No you did nothing wrong, I'm just clearly stupid. Does all this mean nothing to you" He stops in front of her

"Ren, no of course not. Please you have to know that not true" Kyoko yelled standing up and grabbing hold of his arm.

"Do I, not even a day Kyoko and you're out dating other men" his cold tune felt like a slap across her face.

"It wasn't like that, besides so what if it was a date. It's not like you want to date me, you're just using my body." Tears leaked from her eyes.

Ren stood there completely stunned. "How can you be so blind, Kyoko" he pulled her "Of course I want to date you, do you really think I'm the type of person to have sex with someone I'm not interested in?"

"I don't know, okay I don't know everything been happening so fast, It's all so confusing "

Ren wrapped her inside his arms "I know I'm sorry Kyoko. I should of made myself clearer about all of this, but once I had you I couldn't stop." he placed a kiss on her forehead. "I don't want you to go on dates with other people, because I want you to be with me and only me."

Kyoko wiped the tears away from her cheeks "Me too, I only want to be with you"

Ren smiled "I'm glad to hear that Kyoko."

He kissed her lovingly, his fingers gently caressed her cheek "Let's go to bed, Kyoko" he whispered.

Kyoko nodded and grabbed his hand interlocking her fingers with his "yes lets"
