We're almost there guys! And if you haven't yet, go to the Mabastian tag and put more questions you want asked at comic-con because we're all putting ideas out there (if any Mash fans go).

Now onto the Bash POV chapter! "Wavin Flag" is still my favorite song from a World Cup (I know they changed it for the World Cup from its original but still).

Disclaimer: I used some of the minor characters from the show as Bash's roommates.

When I get older
I will be stronger
They'll call me 'Freedom'
Just like a wavin' flag

Wavin Flag- K'naan

My summer had been one of the best I'd ever had. Francis and I went with some friends down to Central and South America (we went to Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, and Argentina)for a few weeks before I moved into my new apartment. Brazil was interesting. We had just missed the World Cup final and it was probably a good thing we did. Other than that, we had a lot of fun seeing the sights and eating the food from all four of the countries that we went to. Francis helped me move into the apartment and I didn't know any of the guys I was rooming with.

It turned out to be quite the experience.

One of my roommates (Philipe Nardin) had his own drum-set that he would play in the early hours of the morning. I was thankful for the fact that I was a heavy sleeper, because Philipe would start playing at about 7:30. He stopped once we got a few complaints from neighbors, and from then on only played in the early evening. Another roommate, Liam, was a ghost. I only saw him twice in the first semester and none of us had any idea where he spent his days. It was possible he was out until late with night classes and a social life and then slept most of the day.

My third roommate was the one I got to know best. His name was Carrick and he would have a girl on his arm almost every time I saw him. Carrick was friendly enough, but he had some strange habits. When I went into his room to borrow the book that we used in one of our classes (he and I ended up taking Biology together the first semester), there was a bulls eye target board on his wall (I forget what they're called) and damn the guy had good aim. He hit every knife dead in the center. I was going to point out that he was making holes in the walls with his knife, but his family was the one who owned the apartment, so I didn't. Clarrick also had the habit of making chemistry experiments in the kitchen. He assured us they were safe but I still expected to come back to a burned house one day.

I dated a bit too but then decided not to.

The first girl, Yvette, was nice when I met her. Then came the texts.

Where are you right now?

Wendy's =)

I had meant the fast food joint but she responded in all caps and asked, in so few words, who Wendy was. She wasn't convinced that I meant the fast food place. After a while, she got super possessive and it drove me crazy. It was possible she had trust issues from previous relationships, but I hadn't done anything to show her I couldn't be trusted. She knew my roommates and I never ignored her texts (I would ignore her calls if I was in class or at my new job) so when I decided it wasn't going to work out, I ended it after two months.

I went home for Thanksgiving. I stopped by to see Isobel and Amelia (who was crawling by that time), my mother, and my brothers and sister.

"You should go see Mary," Francis said the day after Thanksgiving.

That got my attention. Not only because my brother had been the one to make the suggestion, but because it was a name I hadn't heard in months.

I paused the video game I was playing. "When hell freezes over," was all I said before continuing the game.

Hell froze over two hours later.

Francis convinced me to go to her house, even if the excuse was to wish her a happy early birthday. I told him she might not even be there because it was Black Friday and knowing Mary, she was packing up her car with shopping bags.

I lifted my fist to knock on the door. We had parked the car a few houses down.

I looked to my brother. "Run."

"But you didn't even knock," he protested.

"Run," I hissed, turning away and knocking into him because he was still standing there. We ran back to the car like two Middle School boys who were scared of girls.

We never found out if she had been home or not.

I went home again for Christmas Break. Francis had told me about his plans to propose to Olivia, but I didn't take him seriously. I went to his house the day before I was going back to school and was as surprised as everyone when I saw the ring on Olivia's finger. He had proposed on New Years Day apparently. I congratulated them, but not before I excused myself and went outside to laugh it off for a few minutes. My brother never fails to surprise me. He even asked me to be the Best Man and I agreed to it.

Once I was back in school, I started dating more. There was one girl I had a good date with but then I noticed her looks on the second date and sent a picture of her to Isobel with the caption "Am I the only one?" and Isobel replied with "She looks like Mary..."

The third girl I didn't know much about and it wasn't because I zoned out during our conversations. We met at a dance party and I never heard her name. So when she gave me her number, I put her under the name Girl from Party. The only problem was that I ran into her on campus and we started talking. She remembered my name but she didn't remind me what hers was because I had her number, and I was too embarrassed to ask. She was the one to ask me for a date so I said yes. And then we went on more dates, including one on Valentine's Day. I never make a big deal out of that holiday but she really wanted to go somewhere nice so I took her. It took her a month after that to realize I didn't know her name and she was pissed. So that was the end of that.

After, I concentrated on finishing the year. I was close to choosing Health Science as my major but then I got interested in possibly going into Computer Science.

The wedding invitation came into the mail in March, and I saw that the official date for the wedding was June 27th. I had known about it but Francis had said they were still seeing what day her family could come from Italy.

Francis and I skyped one day in early April so that he could tell me that Olivia needed my size for the suits she was ordering. I hardly ever wear suits but I still remembered the measurements. After talking to Francis, I talked to Isobel and she put Amelia on the screen. Apparently, she was old enough to walk.

"Next thing you know, she'll be having a boyfriend," Isobel teased.

"Not for another 30 years," I said.

School ended at the end of that month. I stayed until June to work some more and to take some time off from class. At the beginning of June, Francis came to bring me back. I was enjoying Georgia, but I had missed home.

And he said he had found me a summer job.

It wasn't much. Just a few days a week helping a guy fix his house up but it was still something. And it paid well, about $12 an hour.

"Ready to go?" Francis asked as I put everything into his car. He had planned to only stay overnight but ended up dragging me all over the place so that he could see the area. I humored him but now it was time to go.

"Yep," I answered, checking to make sure I had everything I needed.

Carrick let me sign another year-long contract. He said he liked having me as a roommate, and it was easier to stay rather than to pack everything, find a new place to live, and move. I was even able to leave my car there. Liam and Philipe were staying too.

"Henry should be thrilled that I only got a C in one class," I told my brother once we were driving. "Everything else were B's and A's."

We did the driving in one day. The drive was only ten hours, with some traffic, so we ate in the car for lunch and in a restaurant for dinner, and were back in Virginia by 10:00.

Francis's house was in chaos when we got back.

"Isn't the wedding not for another few weeks?" I muttered to him.

"I'm too tired to even answer that," he said. "Mother," he walked over to Catherine, who gave me a curt nod. "What is going on?"

"Something about one the suits coming in the wrong color," she answered.

"Bash's?" Francis asked.

"No, I think Philip's."

Philip, our sister Elizabeth's husband, was eating a late-night at the kitchen island. He had impressed us all when he didn't run away after Henry scared him more than once. Both of them got along very well now.

"Bash! How are you?" Philip stood up to shake my hand.

"Well. How are you doing?"

"Great. Your sister is already asleep but I don't think she would mind if you woke her up."

"I can wait until the morning," I assured him.

"Nostradamus arrived," Catherine told Francis. "Go introduce yourself to him, he's with Charlie and Olivia downstairs."

Francis excused himself before going down to the basement. I hung around until he came back. Behind were Olivia, Charlie, and presumably Nostradamus.

The rest of us all looked like ants compared to the guy. He was much taller than the rest of us with more muscle (no doubt an athlete of some sort). I was curious to know how he and Olivia were friends. He had to be in his mid-30's at least.

"Catherine, would you please tell Nos to shave his beard before the wedding?" Olivia pleaded with Catherine. "He won't listen to me."

"Nostradamus, shave the beard."

He seemed to respect Catherine because he nodded and answered "yes, ma'am."

I went home to go see my mother, who hugged me so hard I couldn't breathe. Francis helped to bring in my luggage and left.

"How did this semester go?" Mom asked after Francis had closed the front door.

"Good," I answered. "You'll be proud of the grades."

After we had talked for what seemed like an hour, I went to bed.

Home Sweet Home.

I don't even know much of what happened in the following weeks. I helped that man fix his house, got paid weekly by check, and went to visit family and friends. Rowan gave me the picture from the photo-shoot she took of me and told me about her new boyfriend. Francis was kept busy the week before the wedding. By then, I had heard Mary was going to the wedding but it was unlikely I would see her.

Or it was likely.

June 26th came and we had a dinner rehearsal. The food was great but everything else was a blur. The next day snuck up on us.

I know, it's short. But it will be made up in the next two chapters! Stay tuned!
