Smirking at the scene before him, the man said "Well, well, well. If it isn't some of my old pack."

Heads up, dear readers. This is where things get a bit fighty and intense. What do I mean by that? Read on to find out, and enjoy. =)

Barely holding in the snarl that ripped through him, Seth said "You've got some fucking nerve showing your face around here, Orton" as he moved to stand between his group and Randy.

"Oh, come on now, Seth? Is that any way to greet a brother?" the man, Randy, casually asked. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were pissed at me about something."

"You know damn well why I'm pissed at you!" Seth shouted. "You killed Leva! All because she wouldn't be your Mate."

"Wait, what?" Eva asked, looking over at Randy. "Randy, is that true?"

"No, it's not. Seth's just acting out like the baby he is," Randy said, not taking his eyes away from the group. "Then again, Seth always was a bit of a baby. That's part of why I left his pack all those years ago."

"Oh, that is such bullshit! And you know it is, Randy!" Alex shouted from where she stood with Cody and Kaitlyn.

Looking in Alex's direction, Randy nonchalantly said "I really don't know what you're talking about, Alexis. Leva's death was pretty sad, but...I had nothing to do with it."

"Oh, really? Well then, tell us. Why were you the last person we all saw her with before she died?" Alex asked, a scowl firmly on her face.

"All I did was try to talk her out of trying to rush headfirst into killing demons on her own. Nothing wrong with that, is there?" Randy asked, a sickly innocent tone coloring his voice.

Sensing that in between Seth's raging anger and Alex's own flaring anger something in the vein of an attack could possibly happen, Roman stepped in and calmly said "What even brings you here, Randy? Last I checked, this wasn't your place out in the woods."

"Yeah," Dean added. Pointing around Randy to Eva, Dean asked "And what's Red even doing with you?"

"Funny you ask that," Randy said. Looking over to Eva and then back to the group, with a fanged smile, Randy said "She's my Mate."

No one in Seth's group could really say anything for a stretch of what felt like hours, but was really minutes. They had brought Eva into their home, they had helped heal her injuries that she got out in the woods...and none of them had even caught on to the fact that Eva was Mated to someone that had caused some members of their pack so much heartache.

Letting out a scoff of a laugh, Dean said "Can't say I'm surprised. I thought I had smelled a scent like ours on her the night we "saved" her out there. Not to mention the bite on her neck", using air quotes around "saved".

"Why, Eva?" Alex asked, a note of hurt coloring her voice. "Why would you even come to our house if you were with someone like Randy?"

"I-I-It wasn't even my intention to come near you guys," Eva said, trying to defend herself.

"Oh, really?" Seth asked. "Well, then, why did you come near us that night? Was it just to try to find a way to kill three of us?"

"It was because of me," Randy said, stepping into the conversation.

"Big fucking surprise there," Seth said, rolling his eyes. "So, why did you even send Eva to our house? Can't be because you were feeling homesick. You know that we have wards up to protect Alex and the other women from you."

"I sent Eva to your house...for her," Randy said, pointing around Seth to Kaitlyn.

"What?!" Seth practically barked. Moving closer to Kaitlyn as he stood between her and Randy, Seth said "Like Hell I'll let you get to Kaitlyn."

"Oh. I don't think you have any real say in the matter, Seth," Randy said. A dark look coming across his face, Randy asked in a nearly gravelly voice "Don't you know that I always get what I want?"

"Not this time you aren't," Seth said. And, in a blur, Seth charged at Randy and tackled him to the ground, proceeding to land blows on the Rabid.

All while this happened, Eva stood back and watched on with a look of shock and astonishment on her face as the two wolves fought at each other. She had never known that Randy had made enemies in the wolves and humans that had "saved" her that night all those days ago. Now she was feeling pretty relieved that she didn't try to take down the wards on the wolves' property. Because if she had...chances are she probably would've suffered a fate somewhat similar to that of which she saw now.

As Seth fought on against Randy, Roman looked back Alex, Cody, and Kaitlyn. In a low voice, Roman said "Alex, Cody, get Kaitlyn back to the house now. Me and Dean will stay here in case we see any more of Randy's pack members show up."

"Are you guys sure you'll be able to hold them off?" Cody asked.

"Yeah. We got it, Code," Dean said. "Just...you and Lexi get Kait back to the house as soon as you can."

"Right," Cody said, nodding at Dean. Looking over to Kaitlyn, Cody lowly whispered "Kaitlyn, come with me and Alex right now. We need to get out of here."

Managing to tear her eyes away from the fight that was happening before them, Kaitlyn turned to Cody and asked "Where are we going to go?"

"We're going back to the house," Cody said. "It's safer for you there than it is here."

"O...Okay," Kaitlyn said. Casting one last look at the scuffle going on between Seth and Randy, with the latter of the two wolves having managed to have fight his way on top, Kaitlyn slowly started to follow after Cody and Alex, the trio edging their way away from the fight. They managed to make their way to the edge of the Mystic Heights parking lot before Randy noticed them. The Rabid was in mid-punch when he looked over and noticed the trio trying to leave.

"Eva!" Randy barked. "Don't let them get away!"

Coming out of the surprised state she was in, Eva turned to see Cody, Alex, and Kaitlyn trying to leave. At the moment, the witch didn't know what to do. She had already cast a spell that was keeping their presences hidden from any of the other people in the city, so...what could she possibly do to even try to stop a wolf and two humans-one of said humans being a Hunter that could put up a fair fight-from running away? Before she could even think to cast a spell, Eva found her arms pinned to her sides by Dean, who had somehow managed to get over to her side and grab her. Squirming in the sandy blonde's grip, Eva said "Let me go, mutt!" as the trio trying to leave took off at a run through the crowds of people that weren't even aware of their presences.

"Not a chance, broom rider," Dean calmly said. "You ain't doing jack to hurt our family."

"And, what exactly are you going to do to stop me?" Eva asked, trying to sound brave. "Don't you know that I can always use a spell to take you down? Or, I could always burn you, if you'd like that?"

"If you could've, you would've done that by now," Dean pointed out. Looking down to see the total astonishment on Eva's face, Dean said "Look. I know you don't want to do this, Eva. If you want, we can try to help you. But, if you don't...well, we can always leave you with Randy."

"No!" Eva nearly shouted. In a more subdued voice, Eva said "No. Please...don't. I want help, okay? I just don't know how to go about getting it."

Casting a look back over his shoulder to see that Seth was still fighting Randy, Dean whispered "Well, while Seth's taking care of your sad excuse of a Mate, I could run you back to the house. That is...if you want to go back."

Taking Dean's words into consideration, Eva whispered back "Yeah. Yeah, I do." No sooner than Eva said these words did she feel herself getting scooped up into Dean's arms and then feeling Dean take off at a run to the edge of the woods. As she felt the sting of the air around them on her skin, Eva couldn't help but let relief flood through her. She was actually being saved from Randy by someone. And it was one of the very people she had been sent to try to harm. If she could get the help she was looking for, Eva would be grateful to the wolves in Seth's pack for as long as she lived...for however long that may be.

Seeing Dean take off at a run holding Eva, Randy couldn't help the bubble of anger that threatened to explode inside of him. He thought she was actually going to go along with his plans. But, for the witch that he took as his Mate to go and do something like this...it was inexcusable. And, something he was not going to let her get away with. Powering Seth off and away from him, Randy stood to his feet as he shook his head and spit out a bit of blood that was in his mouth. A look of burning anger crossing his face, Randy said "You got lucky this time! But, consider you and your pack done for, Seth. I will get that girl. And I will make her mine."

"In your fucking dreams, Orton!" Seth said, his chest heaving up and down. "You won't lay a hand on Kaitlyn for as long as I'm around to protect her."

"So you say now, Seth. But, just know. You won't always be around to protect her. And, when you aren't... Oh, you can believe that's when I'm going to get her," Randy said. Casting one last look at Seth and Roman, Randy turned on his heel and sped away faster than either of the two wolves could follow.

Letting out an angry snarl, Seth said "Well, what the hell are we supposed to do about that, Ro?! Bastard's pretty much declared war on us, all because he wants Kaitlyn!"

"I know, Seth. I heard," Roman said, doing his level best to stay calm in the face of all that just happened. Taking a breath in and then letting it out, Roman said "Get in the car. We're heading back to the house to let everyone else know. Hopefully, Cody, Alex, and Kaitlyn have already made it back."

Doing as Roman said, Seth got into their car and sat in through the ride as Roman turned the car on and pulled out of the Mystic Heights parking lot. He hoped to the very core of his being that Kaitlyn and the others made it back safely. He knew they all probably did, but...after all of what Randy said and did, he was just hoping that everyone made it back unharmed.

Later That Day

After getting Rikishi to call an emergency house meeting, Seth and the others that went into the city recounted all of what happened earlier with their encounter with Randy and the revelation that Eva was Randy's Mate to the rest of the pack that was at home. And, after a...quite frantic and raucous talk among the pack members, one thing was clearly certain among the pack: They had to keep Kaitlyn and the other women safe from Randy, and they would do whatever it takes.

"Never in all my years did I think Randy would do something like this," Rikishi said, letting out an exhausted sigh. "But, now that he's made such a bold declaration like this, we'll have to be on our guard at all times."

"Whatever we can do to keep the others here safe, we'll do it," Matt said, with the other wolves nodding their agreement.

"We know, Matt," Gilbert said, nodding at his eldest son. "Now, I guess the main thing we need to take care of is trying to keep Kaitlyn and the others safe. We should also keep in mind that Naomi's fairly close to giving birth."

Hearing her father say all of this, Alex meekly raised her hand and said "I...I have a suggestion. But...I don't think you guys will want to hear it."

"What is it, Alexis?" Gilbert asked, turning to his adopted daughter with everyone else turning their attention to Alex.

Feeling the many curious eyes on her, Alex swallowed a bit and said "We could...we could always let Kaitlyn and Naomi go to Tamina's. It can't hurt as an idea."

No one really said anything for a stretch of time until Jimmy said "I think Alex may be right here. After all, it's like she said, it can't hurt."

"I know, but are you sure 'Mina even wants anything to do with us?" Jey asked, looking to his twin.

"Don't know for sure, but it'll never hurt to pay her a visit," Jimmy said, shrugging. "Maybe we can soften her up if we told that we were planning on naming our baby after her."

Hearing Jimmy and Jey talk about this Tamina woman had Kaitlyn feeling fairly lost. Just who was this Tamina Alex and the others were talking about? And...why did she sound like someone that the pack didn't have the best possible relationship with? Turning to look at Seth, Kaitlyn asked "I'm confused. Who's this Tamina person you and the others are talking about?"

Biting his lip a bit before answering Kaitlyn's question, Seth said "I think it'd probably be best if we introduce you to Tamina. We were probably going to be doing so at some point, anyway."

Hesitating a bit before nodding, Kaitlyn sat and tried to listen on as the others wrapped up their meeting. Although...her thoughts were drifting elsewhere. It was all because of her that Randy wanted to attack Seth and the others. And now, everyone was going to go out of their way to try to protect her and the other women from Randy and his pack should they try to launch some kind of attack against the pack. All this was doing was heaping onto a pile of guilt that was settling in the pit of her stomach. If there was anything she could do to help Seth and the others, but...what could she do? Aside from the visions she got in her dreams, what else could she possibly contribute to trying to help the others out?

Declaring war with his former pack just because he wants Kaitlyn. Damn, Randy's acting like a bit of a petty werewolf, isn't he? And, if their parking lot brawl at Mystic Heights was any indication, looks like Seth's ready and willing to do whatever he can to keep Kaitlyn safe. Biggest surprise out of all of this definitely has to be with Eva seeing that staying with Randy will only lead to pain for her later. Now that the pack seems to be readying themselves for a potential wolf war (using "war" fairly lightly here...just think of a very big werewolf team deathmatch), the biggest concern seems to be with how will they keep Kaitlyn (who's Randy's target) and Naomi (who's pregnant and nearing her due date) safe. With Alex's suggestion that they pay a visit to "Tamina" (who seems to have old ties to the pack), this only leaves Kaitlyn with more questions about just who this person is that everyone seems to want to reach out to. And these questions will be answered in the next chapter. So, until then, don't forget to R&R please. =)
