"I'm going to go-"
Reid stopped as he walked into his living room. He smiled at the sight of a sleeping Garcia on his couch. Her laptop was balanced on her stomach and rose up and down slightly with each breath. He grabbed a blanket from his bedroom and threw it over her while he placed her computer on the coffee table.
"I guess this is going to be a lot easier than I thought," He mumbled to himself.
Grabbing his travel bag, he quietly tiptoed around Garcia and towards the door. Leaving his apartment, he felt bad for not telling her about his plan, but he also knew that if he had told her, the whole team would be on his back and this was just one of those things he had to do alone.
The silence of the night was deafening as he drove down the long lifeless highway. He turned on the radio and flipped through stations until he found the Classical ones. He hummed peacefully to Beethoven as he made his way to the airport.
Diana stared out of the car window as they drove. It felt weird for her to be in a vehicle again. It had been so long. She watched as they passed multiple restaurants scattered around town.
Victor looked over at Diana as he turned off of the main road. She looked over at him in confusion as the car bumped along the gravel back road.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"It's a surprise," He replied and patted her hand.
Her body felt tense as she stared at the winding road ahead of them. Something about this moment felt familiar to her, but she didn't know why.
It wasn't until they pulled into the driveway that she knew where they were.
"Welcome home!" Victor yelled happily as he parked the car.
Diana felt a shiver go down her spine.
"W-Why are we here?" She asked nervously.
Ignoring her question, he grabbed his oxygen tank from the back seat and got out of the car. Diana watched as he walked around to her side and opened the door for her. She slowly unbuckled her seat belt and hopped out. Victor grabbed her hand as they walked up the wooden steps towards the house. She stopped suddenly as they approached the door.
Victor let go of her hand as he looked her up and down. "What's the matter?"
She stared at the front yard where a small red doghouse was placed.
"Doesn't someone live here? We can't just randomly show up at someone's house." She pointed at a sign near the mailbox. "This is private property."
Victor smiled and held her hand again. "It used to be private property. Not anymore." He arched his eyebrows in a way that warned her to not ask anymore questions.
Grabbing a key from his pocket, he unlocked the front door. After they both entered the home, he locked the door behind him. Diana looked around as she tried to take it all in. She could feel a sharp pain forming in her head. She sat down in an antique styled chair in the living room and massaged her temples.
"Perfect," He said as he walked towards her.
She looked up at him and gave him a puzzled look. "What?"
Before she could react, he pulled out a pair of handcuffs from his jacket pocket and forcefully put one of the cuffs around her wrist while snapping the other end around the arm of the chair. Baffled, she began to yank her arm back and forth violently against the chain.
"Don't hurt yourself," He warned her as he made his way to the stairs.
"I just need to make a quick phone call. I'll be right back."
Diana screamed as he ran up the stairs and closed one of the bedroom doors.
Reid read his book as he sat silently in the airport waiting for his twelve o' clock flight to Las Vegas. He put his book down on the chair next to him as he felt his phone vibrating in his bag by his feet. He quickly shuffled through his things until he found it. Sitting back in his seat, he looked at the caller ID and gulped before answering.
"Hello?"
"Ah Spencer, it's always a pleasure to hear your voice again."
Reid shifted uncomfortably in his seat.
"Where is she?" He asked adamantly.
Victor laughed into the phone.
"Easy there, big boy. Wouldn't want to get your knickers in a twist."
Unable to control his anger, he stood up and paced back and forth, stomping his feet.
"If you don't tell me where she is right now, I swear to god I will rip your throat out when I find you."
He bit his lip as he listened to the silence fill the other end. Taking a deep breath, he sat back down and took a sip of coffee he had bought when he first arrived.
"Memory Lane, Dear Spencer."
"What?"
"Hope to see you soon."
Hearing the dial-tone, he angrily threw his phone back into his bag.
The twelve O' clock flight to Las Vegas, Nevada is now ready for boarding. Please check in at Gate 12A.
Quickly collecting his things, he darted through the airport. Everyone he passed gave him strange looks, but he didn't care.
He had a killer to catch and a mother to save and that's all that mattered.
Wow I haven't updated in awhile...Sorry about that!
I'll admit, I'm a bit rusty on my writing, so I'm also sorry about that...But I will work on it! :)
Question of the day (or update): Did you hear about the newest member of the BAU yet? If you haven't, Criminal Minds just added a new series regular for Season 10! Her name is Agent Callahan and is played by Jennifer Love Hewitt.
I wish they would bring back Prentiss, but that's just my opinion... Comment yours below :D
Thank you all for reading and I hope you don't hate me for whatever future paths this story may take!
