Newt sighed happily, leaning back against the chair. His eyes were closed as he basked in the warm sunshine. Nothing felt better than this.
'Well, almost nothing,' he silently amended as his wife came to sit next to him. Her head rested on his shoulder as his arm went around her shoulders, pulling her body as close to his as it could get with the chairs in the way.
She giggled sweetly in his ear. "Newt, may I help you with something?"
He smiled, turning his head to the side so he could look into her clear blue eyes. "Just promise me that you'll never leave me."
Porpentina smiled. "That's an easy promise to make. I vow that I'll never leave you. Where else would I go?
Newt smiled at her, the affection in his eyes clear to anyone who cared to look. With their three Kneazles happily purring, Newt and Porpentina drifted to sleep, safe in each other's arms.
