A/n: Obi's view, if you couldn't tell. Inspired by Clement C. Moore's classic poem.

Twas' the night before Life Day, and all through the Temple,

Not a creature was stirring, not even Anakin's secret pet, Wemple.

The lightsabers were set on the nightstands with care,

With hope that enlightenment soon would be theirs.

The younglings were nestled all cozy in their beds,

While premonitions of darkness danced in their heads.

And Siri in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap

Had settled down to enjoy two frothing frappes.

When in the Gardens there arose such a clatter,

That I sprang up to see what was the matter.

Away to the Gardens I ran like a flash

And opened the door with a giant smash.

The artificial lighting on all the greenery below,

Gave the appearance of a rainforest on a planet aglow.

Then what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But the Chosen One and Senator Amidala with a womb of good cheer!

With loving eyes and lips ever so quick,

I knew at once that they must be lovers in the thick.

More rapid than Nabooian Doves, their words came,

As they gazed into one another's eyes and whispered their names.

"Oh Padme, I love you ever so true."

"Oh, Anakin, I could never live without you."

"I'll love you forever, my darling, sweet wife."

"Anakin, you know that you are my life."

Like flickering fairies their lips met,

Touching together before I could fret.

And then in a gasp, I heard a sound;

And saw Yoda behind me when I turned around.

As I opened my mouth, as if to deny it,

He gave a muffled laugh and a derogatory remark full of wit.

The lovers were dressed in clothes chosen with care,

Almost like both were obsessed with looking at more than just each other's hair.

A lightsaber, Anakin hadn't with him,

As if he had come out here on but a sudden whim.

I laughed when they kissed again, in spite of myself,

They were like lovers from the romantic planet of Kelph!

With his eyes wide open, and twisting his head,

Anakin realized all that he suddenly had to dread.

Yoda and I spoke not a word, but started wore identical smirks,

Laughing our heads off, while the Chosen One called us both jerks.

Pressing her lips well below Anakin's nose,

Padme ran off; to where, who knows?

Yoda and I both gave long, loud whistles and whoops,

So he knew that in trouble, he wasn't with the leading Jedi group.

I heard Anakin exclaim as we both ran out of his sight,

"Happy Life Day to all, and to all a good night!"
