Kayla's P.O.V.
"c'mon! Let's go!" Lynn called running down the stairs in a big hurry. She was 3 now and I was in the 18 and up tennis competitions still. I looked up to see Jamie following after her. "what's the hurry?" I asked and he smiled walking over. "she's wanting to go out to the harbor." he said kissing my neck. I smiled leaning into him. "why? What's happening?" I asked. "ya parents are arriving there." he said and I smiled. I ran out grabbing my jacket and raced out the door. "hurry!" I called and he laughed following after me with Lynn. I saw Susannah on the way and I smiled hugging her. "what's going on. You're hardly ever this excited." she said hugging me. "mama and papa are arriving today! At the harbor!" I said and she smiled. "oh! That's why you're so excited!" she said grinning. I ran off pulling her along with me towards the harbor.
We arrived at the harbor and I looked around. Jamie walked over carring Lynn. "there's the ship now." he said pointing over to the ship that was coming into the harbor. I smiled running over to where it had stopped. People started coming off the ship. "Kayla!" I heard mum call. "mama!" I ran over hugging her tightly. "my you've grown." a voice said. "papa!" I hugged him tightly and he purred. Breeze popped up between them and looked at me. "sissy!" she said hugging me. I smiled holding her close. "boy. Papa thinks I've grown. I think you've grown!" I said smiling. She giggled hugging my neck. I took them back over to Jamie and Lynn ran over hugging dad. "grandpapa." she said smiling up at him. He picked her up keeping her close to him. Mum smiled stroking her hair gently. "you are a big girl. Just like your mama." she said and Lynn giggled smiling. "me big girl!" she said smiling. "just like me!" Breeze said giggling. Lynn got down and ran off playing with Breeze while we headed back to the house talking.
We got back to the house and they sat down in the lounge room. Grandma and grandpa were in there waiting for us to get back. "Kara! Zack! Welcome back home." grandma said hugging them both. Mum smiled hugging her. "thanks mum. I'm guessing Breeze has already been through here?" she asked and grandma nodded. "both her and Lynn chasing each other." grandpa said smiling. Mum laughed softly. "honestly, those two are nothing but trouble." she said smiling softly. I giggled. "suits us then." I said and she nodded. "that's very true." she said softly. We all sat down and the girls ran in again sitting down with us. "so how long till the next competition?" dad asked. "only a two weeks away." I said and he smiled. "we'll be here for it then." he said and I smiled hugging him. "good." he purred hugging me back. I looked over at Lynn who was lying on the floor with Breeze panting from running al around the place.
I headed out with Lynn a few hours later. I headed down the streets looking around the place. "what are we doing mama?" Lynn asked. "I have to get something." I said going into one of the shops. She followed along with me looking around the shops. I walked up to the desk and a young girl came out. "hey Kayla." she said smiling. "hey Jess." I said and she looked over at Lynn. "hey pretty girl? Shopping with ya mama huh?" she asked. Lynn smiled and nodded. "hey, have you got it yet?" I asked and she nodded slowly. She went out the back and came back with a bag. "are you sure you want this?" she asked and I nodded. "I need it. Just don't tell anyone what I'm doing." I said and she sighed. "alright." she said handing me the bag. I smiled taking Lynn's hand. "let's get back home." I said and she smiled nodding. "cya later Jess!" I called. "hm. Maybe." she said going round to the back again. I headed out with Lynn back towards the house. She ran a bit ahead of me and I smiled watching her. I looked down at the bag and sighed softly. I wouldn't normally have bought something like that, but this was different so I had made an exception.
We got back to the house. I ran up to my room shutting the door behind me. I sighed softly leaning on the door. I went over to my bed and sat down on it thinking. I pulled out a small box out of the bag. I opened it to see the vile of poison inside it. I went over to a cupboard and put it inside and locked the cupboard. I sat on my bed and sighed softly leaning back on the bed watching out the window. I heard someone knock on the door. "yes?" I called. "hey Kay. It's Susannah. Can I come in?" she asked. "yeah. It's open." I said softly. "I saw you race up here and I thought maybe something was wrong." she said softly. "nah. Nothing's wrong." I said and she sat next to me. "you're hiding something aren't you?" she asked. "what makes you say that?" I asked. "you are just acting like you are." she said. "look, I'm fine. Trust me. I have everything under control." I said and she sighed nodding. "alright Kay." she said getting up. She headed out and I sighed pulling my pillow over my head.
Time passed and we got to the tennis competition and Susannah and Jamie were really excited about it. I wasn't as happy about it though. I knew what was gonna happen afterwards. We headed off to the competition early. Susannah, Jamie, and I went off to get ready. I overheard Susannah talking to Jamie. "I know what she says. But I know she's hiding something." Susannah said softly. "well I noticed she's been acting strange the past week or so." Jamie said. "I know. I mean I'm worried. I don't know what she's hiding but it can't be good is she's like this." she said and he sighed. "I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens." he said softly. I sighed softly grabbing my gear. We headed out I watched outside as the stadium filled with people. I looked over at where the family was. Lynn was at the front watching me. She smiled waving and I giggled. "'ey Jamie. Over there." I said and he turned and smiled. She climbed back on dad's lap sitting down watching us closely. I looked around as the competition started up and I sighed softly.
It all went well except the closer to the end it got the less concentration I had on the game. I sat on the bench on the side and Jamie called a time out. He and Susannah came over. "what's wrong? You've never played like this." Jamie said softly. "look. You two finish the game." I said reaching into my bag pulling something out and then walking off to the bathroom. I leaned on the bench opening up the vile of poison. I took in a deep breath when I heard the door open. I looked in the mirror to see Susannah. She stared at me and then ran out. "shit." I murmured. "She's gonna kill herself!" I heard her yell running out. I injected the poison into me as Lynn began screaming. Dad jumped over the wall around the seats and ran into the bathroom. "and just what are ya doin'?!" he snapped walking over to me. "I had to! I can't do this anymore. I just can't live like I am anymore!" I yelled and he eyed me. "what do ya mean?" he asked. "life. Can't live it the way it is. I can't go anywhere. I'm stuck in my own home. I can't go anywhere with my own daughter anymore." I looked up at him as tears started to fall. "I couldn't tell you because of the way they look to my mum. So I kept it to myself but I can't do this anymore. I had to." he walked over closer. "what are ya talkin' about?" he said pulling me to him. "they told me I shouldn't be here because of who I belonged to. And because of Lynn. My father was uncle Stefano and Lynn's father was uncle Zanobi. They said that I was should be dead because those two brought nothing but shame to my mama and my grandparents. I told them it wasn't her fault or mine but they kept telling me so." I sobbed. He pulled something out of his jacket injecting it into me. "I'm not losing my baby girl." he murmured nuzzling me. I held him tighter and he picked me up.
He walked out and mum ran over. "baby what's going on?" she asked worried. "some jackass tellin' her she should be dead cause ya brother is her father and they brought nothin' but shame to ya. Plus Lynn's father was also ya brother." dad snapped and mum hugged us both tightly. "who was it?" mum asked. "I don't remember all their names but they were the kids on the opposing team." I murmured. "Kayla." I heard a voice say. I turned to see Lea from the news there. "yes Miss. Solanki?" I said softly. "I know it's hard to take what they're saying to you, but maybe just ignore them. They're only trying to distract you from the game. Bring you down further with each accusation. And right now they can see that they have done that. Just push past the things they say and beat them. Just go out there, play the game, no more nice girl. Show those fucking idiots who is the one to win this. Show them bitches that despite what they say, you can win this thing!" she said and I smiled. "sorry about the language just then but it's true." she said softly. I looked at dad. "take the advice love. I would've said a lot worse than what she said and I also would've killed them." he said. "alright. I'll do it." I said softly and they smiled.
I went off back to the others. Jamie and Susannah both hugged me. "don't let them get to you. That's the only way they'll succeed in making you miserable." Susannah whispered. I nodded and she ran off to her turn. Jamie hugged me tightly. "besides, I need you and so does Lynn." he whispered kissing my neck. I purred leaning on him. "just don't do it again!" I giggled softly. "I won't Jamie. Promise." I said and he smiled. "good girl." he whispered. I watched Susannah closely as her turn went by. Jamie then went and Susannah sat next to me. "now remember. You are in control. You ignore them. Kick their fucking ass. Be the dominate one. Win and show those bastards who's boss." she said. I smiled nodding. "alright "mum". I'll do it." I said and she laughed softly. "shut up Kay." I hugged her gently watching Jamie. It was then my turn. I went over and took a deep breath. 'Alright Kay. Just ignore it all. You can do this. You have to do this. Lynn needs you.' I took my focus off my opponent and more on the game rather than what they had said to me.
I had my rounds and I was a lot better than before I had ran off. Despite the fact that I hadn't been at the top of my game earlier, I upped my game in the end determined to beat them. Lynn watched from the sidelines. "c'mon mama! You have to win!" she shouted. "ha! Says one disappointment to the other." my opponent murmured. "hey! You don't talk shit about my daughter when I'm around!" I snapped. "like you can talk! You won't win." he said. I smirked and hit the ball. It shot straight past him while he kept talking. "if only you played like you talk bastard!" I hissed. He looked behind him and growled softly. We went another five minutes before the game ended and we won because he spent the time trying to degrade me rather than concentrating on the game. "we won!" Susannah shouted smiling. I turned running over to them. Jamie grabbed me into a hug. "we told you!" he said nuzzling me. We had the trophy ceremony and then we went out the back. "mama! Mama! You won!" Lynn yelled running over. I turned grabbing her close. She hugged my neck tightly and Jamie smiled hugging us both. Dad and mum came over. "we said you could do it." mum said. "y'know. There's only one thing I can really say about all this." I said. "oh? And what's that?" mum asked. "fuck them all." I said smirking. Dad smiled at me. "that's my girl." he said kissing the top of my head. "I run my life, my way. It's my life. My choices. My way. Not their business." I said and mum smiled. "exactly." Susannah got up smiling. "party time!" she said and Lynn and Breeze squealed. "yay!" we left the stadium to go celebrate with the family. I sighed softly leaning on Jamie. It was going to be a good time now I had myself sorted out.
The End.
