Hello.

Few clarifications. Fitz is Grey Horse and his trusted companion is his wolf who he called out for. The ending was vague just for that finale sentence, Fitz/Grey Horse spared one of the kings men so he could tell the king and the nation that 'Grey Horse has returned'-remember they thought he died or vanished into the night.

Music inspiration is 'The Light'.

If anyone does have questions regarding this story, it is rather hard to communicate on here so find me on twitter, same name.

Good and bad news 'Grey Horse' will be on pause for a while so I can finish 'Closer' and start a new story that takes place during season 6.

Enjoy until we meet again.

X

The cave was quiet. Droplets of water splatter to the floor in a rhythmic beat. She tightens the cloak around her shoulders as she fights the urge to shiver in the cold. She's momentarily numb at the course of action that took place today; frozen in fear at the thought of what she has uncovered. She walks aimlessly around the cave to silence her thoughts, she should have gone back.

Time after time, he has always saved her and yet she can't recall one time returning the favor.

Branches crack.

Leaves crushed.

She grabs the blade Fitz gave her as she crouches down to the floor in fear. An odd sensation erupts inside her, she can hear her heartbeat pounding deafening in her ear, the adrenaline pumping into her veins at the thought of someone discovery her, leaves her fearful and ready for combat.

She can't breathe for a minute in fear as the footsteps get closer to the cave.

A tense moment of silence passed before creeping footsteps halted.

Quickly, Olivia reaches out to attack her intruder but is stopped by Fitz's smiling face holding Olivia's hand to block the attack.

"Hi" He says happily as he watches the dagger drop to the floor and Olivia run to his arms.

He lifts her up effortlessly, as she clings to him tightly. Her eyes are closed securely as she takes a deep breath that he is alive and they are finally together.

"I'm here, Olivia." Fitz whispers in her ear as he caresses her head "I will not let you go again; I promise."

He guides her on his horse as they travel south along a river bank.

"Where are we going?" Olivia ask looking at the scenery and taking note of lush green grass and how blue the sky is today.

"There is somewhere, I would like to show you. Somewhere I have been waiting to take you."

She says nothing but tightens his cloak around her.

"Are you not cold?" Olivia asked

"No" Fitz says softly "the cold doesn't bother me anymore."

"Rest Olivia, we don't have further to go."

And rest she does.

He gently wakes her up as her eye flutter to stay open.

"We're here"

She freezes at the sight of the house. The White stones shine with the sun hitting it directly; the wild orchids lead them directly to the entrance.

"This is beautiful." Olivia whispers in awe as she looks down at the mosaic title, she runs towards the courtyard and dips her hand softly in the fountain.

"Where did you find this place?" Olivia asks turning around to see Fitz leaning against a column smiling at her.

"This was my mother's home as a child, she had brought me here when I was a young boy." He moves towards Olivia as he looks around with fond memories creeping to the surface "Nobody is aware of its existence. My mother wanted me to have something that was hers and something that would be mine." He pauses for a moment "When I ran away from my enslaver I hid here…" he walks gently towards the fountain as he sits down and looks up at the birds flying above.

"This was hers and I secret." Fitz sighs softly as he turns to stare at Olivia "and now it's ours."

Her eyes catch his grey eyes piercing into her soul and she is momentarily stunned by the interminable feeling resonating with her at his tender stare.

"Fitz…" she croaks out unable to speak.

He smiles at her softly before walking back into the house to start a fire.

Her eyes are dark, boring into his. She didn't smile back, a frown creasing her forehead. "Why didn't you say something? I could've helped you." Her words were stern, carrying a tone of censure.

He turns around and looks at Olivia, taking note of her disposition. "I don't need help. You seemed occupied, this is not important." Fitz throws his armor to the floor as he inspects his many wounds.

Under normal circumstances Olivia would be heaving at the sight of his chiseled body glistening with sweat but what occurred earlier was not a typical day for neither.

Fitz walks away leaving Olivia to run after him.

"Let me close the wound." Olivia rushes out chasing after him.

He removes his breeches and steps into the bath. "Do you care to join me?"

"Why are you being stubborn?" Olivia asked annoyed with Fitz's lack of urgency

"It has been quite some time since I have bathed and been bathed properly" he stands up and watches Olivia look at the water dripping from his body.

Fitz cracked a gentle smile and after a long moment, Olivia returned it as she began to remove her clothes.

He stood in the center of the bath as he watched her step inside. When his eyes rested on her, all he did was stare. She often marvels at the power she has over him, she has witnessed his strength, the ferocity that comes with his roar yet when he cast eyes in her direction the power he once claimed becomes absorbed.

"How did you manage to break free from the men?" Olivia asked moving closer towards him but keeping enough space to remain focused.

"I had some help but the choice was already made; I had to come back for you.

Walking towards him, she watched his eyes trail down her body, her form outlined in the water.

"You are the greatest gift, I have ever possessed." He whispers. His hand reaches out and draws Olivia into him.

She moans softly at the initial contact, their wet bodies rubbing against one another.

"Fitz."

"May I unwrap you?" His arms enveloped her, pulling her flush against him.

"Fitz." she croaks out.

Desire flared in his eyes, a satisfied smirk across his lips. He tugged, pulling her even closer. Just before their lips were to meet, she shook her head, heady on the sound of his heightened breathing.

"How are you calm after what took place earlier?" she whispers breathlessly

"I am far from calm. But for this minute I need to remember what it means to be yours and for you to be mine."

"Fitz"

"No more talking" he commands firmly. His arms enveloped her, pulling her flush against him, his hands resting domineeringly on the swell of her ass

"Are you going to kiss me?" She kisses his Adam's apple as she hovers her lips over his. Slightly desperate to have his lips claim her soul and renewed her with purpose and dedication to his cause.

"Not yet" he shook his head "I'll make you beg for that later." His voice deep and low, His eyes found hers as his hands moved slowly upwards, his palms cupping breasts that fairly spilled out of his palm.

She gasped at his words, she wants desperately to remain strong and discuss what had transpired and how he is alive, but under his heated gaze she withers under his spell.

His hand tugged at an errant curl and it dropped to her shoulder. Her heart began its usual erratic beat, but with only a heated gaze.

She runs her hand down his glistening chest. Olivia bit her lips as her eyes devoured this delectable creature with a chiseled chest and dark hair arrowing downwards. She rubs his stomach affectionately and watches and feels the muscles contract under her touch.

Her eyes water as she looks at the open gash on his side, covered with a bandage.

"I'll be alight." He whispers assuredly in her ear

Her breath stuttered and her heart beat in an erratic penetration against her chest. Olivia felt the blood rush to her head, leaving her feeling unsteady and breathless at the same time. But she cared little about the regularity of her breathing at this very moment.

His warm callous fingers trace over her clavicle, gently touching the delicate muscles before traveling downward to her supple breast. Her eyes are glued to his as he stares at her body in wonder and awe.

Goosebumps form as Olivia shamelessly angles her body closer to his, slightly desperate for his touch.

His lips a trail down her neck, sucking lightly at the sensitive flesh that has be known to weaken Olivia's senses. She moans loudly as her fingers went to his hair, trapping his lips against her.

"Kiss me" Olivia begs as she shamelessly rubs herself against Fitz's thigh, knowing he would feel her beneath- ample and ready.

Fitz doesn't respond but as his fingers slid up her soft skin, she parted her thighs and whimpered like a kitten when he pressed against her intimately. Please, Olivia begs before dragging his head towards her lips and kissing him in hopes he would taste desperation and devotion etched on her tongue.

"Olivia" her name was a taunted whispers on his lips. Pleased her hands pressed into the hard, muscled planes of his chest and back. By instinct, her knees braced against his sides, pressing herself closer into him.

A content smile settles, she has tried desperately to fight the feelings passing over her but isn't she deserving of this moment of happiness. This moment with him, is all she has ever wanted and desire- she removes the question plaguing her mind and focuses on this moment- focuses on the hum beating softly in her diaphragm.

Her breathing was harsh, erratic, completely out of control as his lips travelled south, nipping behind her ears, and her neck before nuzzling into her hair.

"You are a gift to me." His voice drops an octave and she could feel the vibrations all the way in the recesses of her belly.

Incapable of speech, their eyes met as she raised her hand and placed it delicately on his cool chest.

"Your heart still beats." Olivia whispers

"Only for you." Fitz replies gently, remembering the familiar moment they shared in what felt like centuries ago.

The dark curls tumbled down her right shoulder as the light in her eyes begins to shine under his tender gaze.

They're home.

His eyes never left hers as he slowly lowered himself to his knees, and placed Olivia on the side of the bath. The cool tile on her hot skin soothes the burn crushing through her veins.

He looks at her- every inch. A range of emotions display on his face- happiness, sadness, confusion; so many questions he wishes to ask, the many feelings that are in question. He feared letting her go yet feared her staying.

She whispers his name and he's back to the first time he met her. Her youth, the refreshing innocence that captivated him. Now his little fox has grown positively into a woman.

He smiles softly at her to remove any confusion. Gently he lifts one leg over his shoulder. His head disappears in the water. He feathered kisses all the way up her legs, across her thighs until he reached the apex at the top. She heaves as her breath gets caught in her throat. Senseless, breathless with wanton anticipation, she bit down on her lip - hard – to silence the screams evoking just as his tongue ran across the seam of her sex.

Her breathing is louder now than before as she tries without success to stifle the invocations of moans that are threating to burst from her. Her head moves from side to side, her back levitates off the ground as she feels the sensation pushing her closer to combustion. The pleasure was shocking, building as his tongue circled the pulsing nub he'd exposed, lavishing it with skilled consideration.

Her eyes open briefly as the cosmic multitude erupts from her eyes. In a flash a kaleidoscopic of colors pulled from the world blinds her momentarily. Within minutes, he'd reduced her to nothing but a flaming ball of delicious sensation.

Waves and waves of pleasure radiated from her heart, skimming across her skin as he resumed his massage of her core, demanding all of her.

"I have you" he whispers as he stares down at her sedated state before carrying her back to bed.

/

"Are you going to kill me?" He asked with the blade placed gently near his throat and his eyes closed shut.

"You tell me, Grey Horse?" Olivia says coldly

His eyes open as he looks up at Olivia hovering over him.

"I should cut out the little piece of your heart that you have left and eat it for breakfast." Olivia seethes with anger.

"What gave it away?" He ignores Olivia's statement as his eyes bore into hers.

Tears burn her eyes as she struggles not to cry.

"Your wolf" Olivia croaks out "You howled for him and he came running to your aid. He saw me and paused in recognition as I did the same." she pauses for a moment as she recalls that recent and far memories. "That was the same wolf I met when I was a young girl; his eyes are grey- just like yours."

Silence fills the room as she waits for him to deny the allegations but the moment never came.

"You've lied!" Olivia shouts as she drops the blade and starts attacking Fitz with fury.

He grabs her hands and effectively turns her over on the bed, as he hovers above.

"I've waited for you for years and you never showed up!" Olivia cries out "I became a mockery because I believed I met the infamous Grey Horse- you could've told me but you choose to let me burn with the others."

He holds her hands above her hands as she thrashes under him with unextinguished anger.

"You've threatened my life, yet it is I who should be the one angry." He tightens the grip on her hands "I could kill you right now for your acts of treason, you evil siren the gods have cursed me to love."

She spits in his face, at the allegations before crying out "I have never be deceitful towards you" She gasped, outraged and verbally attacked

His eyes glare sinisterly at her "have thoughts not entered your subconscious as to how I managed to find you?"

She freezes underneath him. Surprisingly she never thought of how he would save her only that she knew he would.

Her eyes travelled over his face again. The skin was raw and broken, bruises purpling on the surface.

"Your father released me from my cell. The women I love came from the man I hate" His eyes blazed, his voice cold. He walks away from Olivia and she shivers at the rejection.

"All along I thought I was protecting you, saving you from him but your life was never in jeopardy. The vows to protect you are etched on my back yet they're meaningless scars now."

He stared at her through hooded eyes and she shifted uncomfortably. He had the ability to disconcert her as no one else.

Fitz leaned against a wall and looked off into the distance. "The reason for your kidnapping, as you are aware is due to your impending marriage." He sighs heavily before continuing "You were to be married to a king but your father chose a prince instead and – the king didn't take kindly to the rejection." He murmurs softly as he finally comes to terms with the situation.

Her heart begins to break at the thought of what he may think of her- of them. She marvels at him yet loathes how he inspires her humility and her fury. His grey eyes that are both warm and cold betrayed her.

How is it that once again she is the monster and he the victim.

"It's not what you think." Olivia hushes out as she tightens the wrap around her dress in need of some form of protection- a barrier to prevent him from penetrating her body and soul but Olivia knew it was already too late.

He was silent, his eyes burning into hers. She was not intimidated, staring back.

"You have no idea, what it was like to live with him" she defends.

"He won." He says after a moment of silence

"What?" Olivia ask not sure if she heard him correctly.

"Your father." Fitz clarifies "He won. I thought I was playing a game of chess expecting to win and yet I have lost terribly. He had you enter my cell and your voice ignited my soul, your touch branded me, and your lips were the key to unlocking my illicit dreams." He stares longingly at her as though trying to recapture the moment forever engraved into his subconscious.

"That's not true." She shakes her head "my father never knew I came to you- he told me he had killed you but I knew you were alive and so I found you! You never found me! I found you! How dare you look at me with such contempt!" Olivia shouts with tears falling as she rises from the bed to stand in front of him, refusing to back down.

Their eyes lock and she sees his pain and longing reflecting in her eyes, she eventually looked away with shame and regret.

"I fell in love with you the minute I saw you. You were broken but I saw your truth beneath the gravel. I came to you not by choice; my heart took over my mind and my body. My father never knew until he found us and I never knew my father was Rowan until he told me and by that time you were already taken." She walks away but she feels his eyes on her.

"Why didn't you say something?" Fitz asked

Olivia looks at him incredulously "How?" she pauses for a moment before beginning "Fitz, the man who enslaved and tortured you, your entire life is the same man who gave life to me! His blood courses through my veins!"

"I would have protected you from him"

"You can't protect me" Olivia turns around to walk towards him "I don't need to be protected! He's my father, he enslaved you, he tortured you, he ruined you! You do not protect me; I protect you!" Olivia shouts as she forces Fitz to look at her. "I was never going to marry a king or prince but I had to leave in order to save you."

He began to speak but she shook her head, her finger pressing lightly against his lips. Their eyes met and she flushed, dropping her hand as if scalded.

"Why did you save me even though you thought I was working with my father- why did you make love to me" her voice breaks as she begins to scoot away from the fire radiating from his pores.

"I wanted to know if we were real" he says softly with his head down in shame.

"Were we?"

He nods his head before walking towards the corridor.

"Why did you lie to me?" he stops at the door but never turns around to look at Olivia's troubled face. "I would have loved you regardless of where you came or where you were going."

He stiffened at the sting of her words.

"You have attacked me and questioned my morale compass." She walks towards him but stops herself "Perhaps it was part of your plan to seduce me."

He turns to stare at her in disbelief. "Do you honestly believe that?"

She shrugs "why else would you purposely be deceitful to me and withhold such information."

His head spun at the accusation as he closes the distance between them.

"You accused me of working with my father when I gave you everything I possessed and more."

Fitz hung his head, aware of the many treasures Olivia bestowed to him. There is deep truth to her sentiment.

"I gave you more than my body and I never knew who you were."

"Say something." Olivia pleads as she looks at the grey eyes that leave her captive and captivated.

"I- you know who I am." He whispers calmly finally casting his eyes upward to meet her stare.

"Why lie-"

His eyes watched her closely before walking around the room. The nearest of Olivia was both intoxicating and suffocating.

"I-I just… many look at me and they see the monster," he said. "I didn't want you to see the monster; I wanted you to see me." He says with a small smile as he looks down to the ground ashamed of his actions.

"I wanted you to see me not for who I am but who I can be. I wanted you to feel hopeful that we could have the life we desire. I wanted you to see the dream- that its possible."

Her lips quivers as her eyes follow him walk across the large room.

"I was told from a young age, the ways of the warrior. The warrior does not dream of the outside world filled with flowers and grass. The warrior does not dream unless it is war or burning ash. The warrior does not dream of home and light the warriors only thoughts are to make it out of the night. The warrior does not dream because he's always known that his heart and his soul were always on its own."

Olivia felt the rush of warmth in her cheek, the heaviness in her breathing as he spoke.

"The minute I returned you back to your home. I regretted it."

Olivia exhales loudly as she recalls the night they first met.

"I searched for you." He pauses for a moment to take her in. "I searched for you, for years. But I never found you and I finally accepted the fate I was given." He unfolds his arms as he begins to light the lanterns to bring light into the darken room.

"I found you on accident." He says simply "I never planned on loving you or seeing you again but I found myself contemplating what life would be like if I was a part of your world."

She glances around the room, as tears fell unabashed from her eyes.

"I vowed to stay away from you and have you stay away from me but then I heard your laugh and I suddenly found myself counting down to when I shall see you again. In a world filled with hollow souls you were my one perpetual feeling. My link to this world and my humanity"

She walks toward him in hopes of consoling him but she paused as he turned to stare at her with his soft grey eyes.

"You are right Olivia."

She looks at him curiously waiting patiently for him to finish his sentence.

"I never saved you but have saved me more than you will ever know."

She shakes her head before wiping her tears not believing that she could possibly save him because if she could then they wouldn't be here.

"You saved my soul and showed me how even in the darkness of the night; light springs internally from the soul. With only your breath as my sacred mantra you explained the infinite."

"And what's that?" Olivia said jokingly as she fights to stop crying.

He placed a finger under her chin and raised it to look at him. This time she didn't flinch and his eyes lit with awareness.

"How rare and beautiful it is to live and be loved."

Inside her, something broke. He wasn't a monster. Her father tried to turn him into one but the goodness inside him prevails. She loves a man who was forced into this life as she was, and all he wants in life is to love her. She raised a hand to his face and leaned in close to place a whisper of a kiss to his cheek. Before silencing his worries or fears with her lips.

His knees hit the bed as he moves to sit down. He stares up at Olivia completely and irretrievably under her spell.

Her fingers run through his hair as she watches him stare at her though a deity that fell from the sun. Olivia removes her cloak slowly, revealing her breasts before dropping it to the floor. She stood before him almost shyly, but unafraid.

Her heart leaps into her throat at the sight of his burning eyes. Their sins are no more; silently and spiritually they embark on a new world, a new start. She leans over him, pressing up to him. Her body is so small, but so strong. He feels as if he could encase her completely,. She cuddles up to him, making herself relax, her head resting against his chest, ear to his heartbeat. Her hands stroke at the width of his biceps, she is no longer fearful.

Taking control, he took a deep breath and rolled her beneath him. Her breathing seized as his weight bore down upon her, pressing her into the mattress. Olivia surrenders in totality, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as he continues to steal whatever breath she had left with a burning kiss.

Her hands were now restless as her palms brushed across his stubble face, exploring the underside of his rugged jawline and the soft skin behind the shell of his ear.

Gently he rolls Olivia on her stomach and without word she settles herself on all fours.

He's heavy against her, though she relishes in the contact. She feels anchored, secured with him hovering over as his warm solid chest brushes against her back causing goosebumps to form.

He stares at Olivia in a moment of clarity and awe. The back of his knuckles stroke her face gently.

She flushes for many reasons at his tenderness and her readiness.

They are alone and tonight is not the end but the beginning of what's to come. She will be selfish and consume his very essence until he is no more.

Olivia's neck stretches back when he leaves her mouth wet and panting for more.

His eyes are dark, shadowed, the conversation and events from earlier touching him. But he is here with her- where he was always meant to be.

"Olivia" his breath is on her neck, the sound of his voice causes her to turn and look at him closely. His eyes are dark, his lips bruised, cheeks flushed red. She wonders if he is a reflection of her, if she looks as wrecked as he.

Raising her hips she gives him the silent invitation to forget their separate worlds and forge together and create one in their place.

It is a invitation he cannot refuse.

In one stroke, he buried himself in her as he removed his lips from hers to hear her cries of pleasure. As she stretches to make room for him, he slowly begins to grind against her, his lips kiss the hollow of her neck, desiring to hear her cry out in satisfaction.

He watches how the flames bounce of her back, the softness of her skin, the curvature of her spine as she bends to take more of him in. Her body and her soul were made for him, drawing him further and further into her sheer being.

Every thrust he makes comes with a sense of urgency and desperation to fill her up all the way to the hilt, and be rewarded with the sound of sweet pleasure escaping her lips. Like a siren calling the sailors to the sea he heeds to the command hoping that by the end he will hear her cry out his name in rapture. He hears the sharp gasp and whimper escaping her mouth-a sound he'll indefinitely be addicted to.

Her eyes slip close in ecstasy. She can hear him, His body crumpling the bedding. Feel him as his beard rasps against the skin of her back. His nose brushing against her curls, she can feel him growing stronger and harder inside her with every twitch or move she makes.

Her body gives out, all she can do is concentrate on breathing as he moves in and out of her.

She cries in pillow at the feel of him inside her.

The uniqueness of this position is unlike anything she has ever felt before; with him inside she can feel every nerve and cell being stimulated.

He curses softly as Olivia turns head to watch him enter from her behind. He does not look away from her as he thrusts into her, and she cannot either. It is intimate and sacred action, to be so close that she can see the heavy arc of his eyelashes and the slight circles under his eyes, but she does not want to look anywhere else.

She's close; with a final thrust he holds her body still next to his. Immediately he heard her breath hitch and the end of the sirens song with the sound of his name softly echoing throughout the room like a hymn that only the beautiful angel could sing and words that only he could decipher.

"I love you" Olivia whisper as she rubs his chest soothingly

"And I love you." He kisses her forehead bringing her tighter into his arms.

"I would have run away you that night." Olivia lifts her head as she recalls the night they met and he brought her back to her father.

"You were a child."

"Am I child now?" Olivia asks moving to straddle Fitz.

Gently he reaches up to touch her supple breast..

"No, you are not a child."

She smiles proudly before kissing his lips and lying softly on his chest as he leisurely rubs her back.

"What's going to happen, Fitz?"

He sigh heavily "I had my wolf send word to Thanos my second in command to prepare for the finale war."

She lifts her head to stare at him.

"Come tomorrow my army will be here and I will leave."

Olivia's eyes begin to water "and what about me?" she whispers

"I will only leave with my queen by my side or if you ask me to let you go."

"Never" Olivia whispers on his lips.

A comforting moment of silence fills the room.

"Fitz"

"Yes, Olivia."

"You are Grey Horse."

"I am." He claims softly

"Then who was outside your window?"

"Stephen."

"Stephen?" Olivia asked skeptically

"The oracle said something that Stephen was able to place together and see my true identity. I needed Rowan to believe I wasn't Grey Horse and Stephen graciously helped."

"What did the oracle say?"

"Wherever you go, there I will be."

He closes his eyes peacefully. Warmth and contentment surrounds him. Even on a cool night, he can feel the sun bursting on his skin the lightness of her lips removing the heaviness of his sorrows.

"Do you love me?"

"Yes." He says tenderly

"Still?"

"Always." He kisses her gently removing any fear or doubt.

With his arms wrapped around her body, he couldn't bring himself to let her go. His hands never left her body, branding every contour of her curve as his. She giggles softly as his fingers ghost up her spine. A satisfied moan escapes her lips and she lifts her head to look at him.

"Tell me what I want to hear." Olivia commands softly as she gazes up at him.

"Hi, little fox."

The look in her eyes brightened when he voiced the words she has longed to hear. Her hands cradle the back of his neck pulling him in for a deep and long kiss.

"Hi, Grey Horse"
