Chapter 25: Goku, Halo, and Grimlock-Halo's Pride
The rescuers have returned home with their rescuees: The Dinobots. They moved Grimlock onto a medical bed where Ratchet examined his conditions. "His vital signs are normal, but it'll take some time for his wounds to heal: at least 3 to 5 days." Swoop held Sludge in his arms. "What about Sludge?" Ratchet held his scanner upon Sludge's breastplate. "He's in stasis, but his wounds are entirely too great. But with proper procedure, and surgical treatment, it'll take no time at all for him to recover." "Thank Primus. So glad you here to help Ratchet." Optimus held his hand upon Swoop. "We are all glad that you and your teammates are alive. But what is this that Goku told me about you having new forms?" Swoop turned to Goku, surprised. "You told him?!" "It wasn't gonna be much of a secret, is it?" Swoop pinched the top of his nose and sighed. "Okay Prime. I'll tell you." Swoop told everything that happened after Grimlock went out to find the hidden Energon source the Decepticons hoarded. He told Optimus about what Shockwave did to them, including what he did to Grimlock. "That's how it happened. Shockwave is just flippin' insane!" "But your new forms do have some advantages that Shockwave never predicted. You've survived for eons with low Energon. You've all become very strong." "Thanks Prime." Swoop sat down next to Grimlock so he can tell him everything when he wakes up. On the Nemesis, Knockout patched up Starscream and dug some sand out of his gears. "You were lucky Megatron brought you back here. You would have been scrap metal for that Saiyan." Starscream still felt the pain the Saiyan sought on him every time Knockout layed his blowtorch on him. "Oww! Shut the fuck up Knockout! I do not want to here anyone talk about that Saiyan!" "Really? Because everyone else is talking about him, and how he embarassed you. 'Man, Starcream's a big turd taking on a little guy.' Or, 'I can't believe a flesh creature like him beat the shit out of Starscream.' That one is just hilarious!" That made Starscream mad. "RAARGH! SHUT UP!" He push Knockout away and lifted himself off the medical bed. "Commander Starscream, you need more time to heal!" Knockout follow Starscream down the hall. "I don't care! I'm not going to bet humiliated by an insect!" "Megatron will have both of our heads if you tag me along on one of your hairbrain schemes!" "I know. But humiliation is 5% worse than Megatron's punishments. If I want need to restore my honor, I need to strike where it hurts in that Saiyan." He stepped to the docking bay. Knockout asked, "What? Punch him in the spark-protector cage? Snap his spinal cord in his neck? Mock his pride? Make fun of his creator? Oh, that's a good one!" Starscream standed on the edge of the bomb bay doors. "No Knockout. The spark." He fell off and transformed. "Hey! Wait for me!" Knockout took a groundbridge device and used it to head for the Earth's surface to meet with Starscream.
5 weeks later, the Z-Fighters, Autobots, and the new memebers of the team; the Dinobots, are just chilling out and resuming their daily lives. Pan and Goten have their regular days in their schools, Trunks continued his ongoing job as Capsule Corp. prez, Goku, Halo, Jazz, Bumblebee, Snarl, and Slug play against each other on the basketball court. The newly revived Sludge is the referee. "Okay, ready?" Goku, Jazz, and Bee go against Halo, Slug and Snarl. "GO!" Sludge threw the ball in the air and the game begins. Optimus Prime kept check on Decepticon activity. Ratchet also kept check, except on Grimlock. He noticed that Swoop still sat next to Grimlock, since he came to Earth. "Swoop, Grimlock is gonna be fine. I checked his wounds and Energon levels and he's fine." "I know, Ratchet. But I have to be next to my friend just to support him all the way. He was our leader. A true friend. But ever since he became painfully inflicted by Shockwave's twisted science, he been very differnt lately." "I understand. I'll just do my work over here." Ratchet went to Teletraan 1 to check inventory on the supplies they carry. Optimus noticed Swoop's depression. Bulma as well. "Swoop still feels depressed about Grimlock?" "He feels only the bond of his friendship towards him. I asked too much of Grimlock to change. I let the fear of my fellow Autobot's safety cloud my judgement. Grimlock did do the right thing to find Energon for our cause and destroy the spacebridge." "You're lucky to have a friend like him." "My friends are what give me strength." On the basketball court, the scores of the two teams are tied, 108-108. Sludge said, "Game point!" Goku ran around Slug and Snarl to the hoop. "Yeah! Game, set..." Before Goku makes the shot, Halo jumped up and swept the ball out of Goku's hands. "Yoink! In yo' face!" He threw the ball to Slug, and he makes the shot. 108-110. Sludge yelled, "That's game! Team 2 wins!" Jazz said, "Aw man! That's 25 games in a row! You guys are bigger than us! No fair!" "Dinobots rule!" Slug and Snarl cheered and hi-5ed. "Come on Jazz, it's just a game. It don't matter if we win. Where's the fun in it if you don't enjoy it?" Goku said. "Your right Goku. That was fun." Snarl laid his hand upon Jazz's shoulder. "Maybe next game bud." Then, Swoop ran outside and yelled, "Guys! Grimlock's waking up!" Slug, Snarl, and Sludge were surprised. "Thank Primus!" Goku said, "You're kidding!"
The Dinobots moved Grimlock to the center of the chamber and awaited for his revival. Grimlock groaned and his optics slowly opened. "Grimlock. You alright bud?" Slug said. Grimlock slowly took a look across the room and noticed Swoop. "Sw-Sw- Swoop?" "Hey dude. We made it." Grimlock looked upon Optimus. "Prime?" "My friend. We are glad you survived after all this time." They lifted Grimlock up slowly. Ratchet said, "Careful! Careful. He needs time to recuperate and get used to his surroundings." Grimlock asked, "Where are we? How long I was out?" Swoop explained, "On the target planet the Decepticons are after. The planet Earth. And you've been gone for 4 billion years." "Dammit. I missed all the fun. I didn't take this shit for some fraggin' Decepticon crap." Optimus held his hand upon Grimlock's back. "Easy there my friend. We have been through alot in the past. But now, it's not just for Cybertron, but for the sake of all beings that exist in this Universe." "Pfft. Same old Prime." Swoop said, "Come on man. Let's just have a little walk and give you a tour." The Dinobots took Grimlock outside for him to look around. He saw Sludge outside with the others. "Sludge. I thought..." "You thought I was dead? Well I was in stasis for a long time in an Insecticon hive. Swoop here saved my tailpipe." "Glad to see you again." Grimlock looked down on Goku. "These are the inhabitants of this planet? Thought they'd be alot larger." Goku laughed, "You ain't seen nothing yet." Grimlock looked around South City. "These buildings are nothing like Iacon." Swoop said, "Well I told; this is nothing like Cybertron, but for now it's our home so try not to step on any humans." "Yeah. Got the message." Then Grimlock sensed a power that Goku cannot from 5,000 miles away. "Stop! What did you say about Kaijin?" Swoop exclaimed, "Very powerful. Why?" "It is near." Grimlock drew his sword and ran towards west. "Grimlock! Wait!" Swoop yelled and ran to Optimus. Goku wondered what made Grimlock ran west. Then, he realized what kind of Kaijin Grimlock sensed and said, "Zilla." Halo heard Goku. "I know her. She was controlled by the Xilians, and I defeated him." Swoop came up to Optimus, took a deep breath and quickly said, "Prime, Grimlock said something about a Kaijin and ran off to the west!" "What?! Ratchet, get Bumblebee, Ironhide, and Goku. A Kaijin has appeared." "I'm already on it Prime." Goku ran to Optimus. "Is something the matter Goku?" "I know where Grimlock's going! He's headed for Australia!" "Then that is our destination. The hunt for the Kaijin has begun!" Optimus, Goku, the Dinobots, and the rest made their way to Australia, via Goku's Instant Transmission. In Sidney, Australia, there was a female teen, with black leather clothing and brown jagged hair, pointing to the back. Fangs, small claws, and red eyes with yellow scelera. Carries a black cloak and a green fire scythe. She stood atop the perch of the Sidney Opera House and spoke, "Godzilla draws near. The Dinobot has come. The clouds of war are upon us." She drew her scythe and laid it upon her right shoulder. "Find me, and we shall do battle. For the Earth."
Grimlock made his way across the Pacific Ocean with no rest. Sharks began to chase, thinking he's a whale. One of them bit his leg. "Annoying pests!" He drew his sword and slit it in half. Blood spilled around him, and a feeding frenzy began. The sharks came on him and relentlessly chomping him all over his body. "Get off!" Grimlock grabbed them violently, and killed them all. Alot of blood splattered all over him. He wiped some of it off and said, "Disgusting creatures. No wonder fleshies break easily." He resumed his trek to Australia. Meanwhile, Goku, Optimus Prime, Halo, Bumblebee, Ironhide and the Dinobots made it to the city of Sidney, Australia. "We better hide. We don't want to attract any attention." Optimus ordered everyone to move to a hidden location in the city to avoid detection, and find the Kaijin. Bumblebee and Ironhide hid in the city's sewer system, The Dinobots went in an abandoned warehouse, and Optimus, Goku, and Halo went to a failed construction site and climbed up the unfinished building to scan across the city. Goku tried to use Instant Transmission to scan the city for the Kaijin. "The Kaijin is..." Then he found her. "There! It's near the Sidney Opera House." Optimus said, "We'll surround the perimeter without any citizens..." Halo stopped him a bit. "No Prime. I'll handle this alone. This is my kind that I have to deal with." Goku was okay with it. "Well I really don't want to spoil your little 'family reunion' or whatever. I was looking foward to good fight, but I Think you can handle this." Optimus thought this through and said, "Alright Halo, but if you need any assistance at all, we'll come." Halo stepped up on the edge of the building. "Trust me. I won't need it." Then he flew off to the Opera House. Goku looked at Halo, and it reminded him of Vegeta. "You know, Halo's alot like Vegeta. He's prideful, strong, and incredibly determined." "But he's still part Kaiju. He's a lot more powerful than anyone of his kind." "That may be true Optimus, but under that strong hide of a menacing looking Kaiju, is a strong and loving heart of a human."
Halo landed on the roof of the Opera House and waited for Zilla to appear. A figure stands on the tip of the tallest roof. Her long cloak waves in the wind, her eyes glew a crimson red, along with the glow of her yellow scelera. She jumped off onto the top of another roof, where Halo stands. "I see that you heard my call." "Very loud enough to be heard by those who are one with the Earth. It has been a long time, Zilla." Zilla laid the blade of her scythe behind her head. "I go by the name of 'Gina' now." "Gina?" "Godzilla In Name Always. Daughter of Gino; Godzilla In Name Only. Wielder of the Emerald Fire Scythe." "That takes a while to swallow." Gina lifted her scythe and pointed the blade towards Halo." "My father was slain by these barbaric humans! As well as my 200 brothers and sisters! And you, Godzilla, now a traitor to our kind, for siding with the murders that wish to bring us to extinction!" "My name is Halo! And these humans do not deserve to this punishment! They have learned from their mistakes, and have vowed not to rid us. If you side with me, human kind can assist us in fighting our true enemies." Gina calmed down a bit and withdrew her scythe. "If I am to join you, then you wil fight me!" She Ki-sprints and hits Halo off the roof. He wiped his lips and sees a speckle of blood. "Alright. If you want to fight so bad, then it's a fight you'll get!" Halo charged up and the two Kaijin fought in the air. Goku and Optimus saw the fight. "Man! He's pumped! He'll wear her out for sure!" Goku said in amazement. Optimus watched the fight and noticed the scythe Gina wields. "The scythe that she carries. It's emitting a dark power." "Yeah, I noticed. Master Roshi told me this when I onced trained with him when I was a kid. It's called the Emerald Fire Scythe. Made from a metal from the spirit world, and enchanted with the green fire from a powerful forest dragon. It's said to cleave diamond and the strongest of steel with it's dragon fire and decapitate an army of 10,000 men with one swing of the blade." "If a weapon like that fell in the hands of the Decepticons, then the chance of our very survival will dwindle to oblivion." Halo and Gina battled to decide who the victor will walk home with the scythe of the green dragon.
