Chapter 25: My Dearest Sister

Wendy Dragneel was a bright girl; she was very smart, cute and had many friends. It was a normal day; she got up, fed her cat Charle, brushed her teeth, got ready, ate breakfast, and went to school. She said good bye to her father Igneel and went into the car with her mother. Her mother Grandine Dragneel, a famous pediatrician always had time to drop her off in the morning.

They pulled into the parking lot of Magnolia Middle School. "Bye mom" Wendy said, kissing her mom on the cheek. "Bye sweetie, have a good day" her mom called as she left the car to greet her friends. Wendy waved as the car left the parking lot. The youngest Dragneel and her friends made their way to the entrance of the middle school with ease; their first class had a math quiz. They noticed a very pretty woman walking down the hall. She was young with short silver hair, dressed in a black and white striped shirt and a black high waisted-flowy skirt with red high heels. She looked at them as she passed and smiled and waved, they waved back.

"She's pretty" her friend said, they all agreed as they walked towards the classroom, the bell rang and everyone filed into their classrooms. The same woman they had seen was setting up her folders on the desk, as they walked in. Everyone sat down and the second bell rang.

"Hello class, my name is Ms. Angel and I'm your sub for the day" the woman with silver hair introduced with a smile. Everyone said their hellos and whispered how pretty their teacher was and someone asked "Where's Mr. Brunner?" and Ms. Angel answered "Sorry, I was not informed on what happened but I just got a call and now I am here" she giggled. The class smiled at her, waiting for her to say something.

"Well I heard you had a quiz today, well I was not given the quiz" their sub-teacher admitted. The class cheered with relief and happiness, making the teacher laugh "Oh I see, no one wanted the quiz. So instead how about I learn your guys' names instead of just calling them out for attendance"

Everyone nodded "Good, so I was thinking you should just say your names and say what you want to be when you grow up" Ms. Angel explained and the class obliged. They all started to name their selves but Ms. Angel only acted like she cared, she only cared about one name. When she heard one say "Hi my name is Wendy Dragneel and I want to be a doctor" she smiled widely. When everyone finished she had to improvise until the plan was set into motion. "Good, now that I know everyone how about we go through your guy's text books at the lesson you are currently doing" and grabbed the math book that was on her desk.

"What page were you guys on?" she asked with the book in her hand. The students all got their books out and one said "Page 245" and the teacher said her thanks and looked at the lesson with disgust, she had always hated math.

Ms. Angel gulped and read the book "Okay I want three of you to do problems 21, 22, and 23. It's a race so whoever gets it right the fastest doesn't have to do the lesson today" she explained with a smirk. "Now who wants to go" and a bunch of hands flew up. The deceiving woman picked three students, she picked one girl and one boy, and Wendy Dragneel. The went up with their books and got ready for her to say go. When the woman said it the students started writing immediately. The boy was first, then Wendy, then the girl when the three students had finished, Angel acted like she checked it and said he was right and she hoped no one questioned her judgment; no one said anything. The students all sat down in their seats.

"Good job you guys" Angel said and clapped her hands together then looked at the clock, she needed to improvise for another 20 minutes until their plan was set into action.

Hades walked around the school casually in his new security guard outfit, the real guard was dead and gone. Zero was waiting in the car on look out while Angel was posing as the substitute teacher. The school had no idea that the actual teacher was not in the class, they never checked if the teachers were really here.

He whistled as he walked around, the hat he had on his head covered his face. He walked towards the cafeteria and saw the staff working to prepare lunch for the students; they didn't pay him any mind as he walked in. He walked in front of the unused gas stoves and ovens and turned them on full blast.

"Hey! What are you doing?" One worker asked and rushed to him but the worker was only shoved away. Hades got his lighter out and walked towards the exit, he glanced back to see all the workers had confused expressions. He smiled and threw the lighter towards the ovens and stoves and closed the heavy steel door and walked away. The kitchen exploded behind him, his hat was blown off as a gust of wind followed, and it smelt of burnt flesh and char.

He immediately pulled the fire alarm and rushed outside to see all the alarms go off throughout the school, he called in the explosion and the school started to evacuate immediately. Hades smiled in triumph "Here we go" he chuckled and walked towards the gathering students.

The alarms started blaring loudly, scaring everyone in the classroom. Angel jumped but smiled lightly "Everyone get outside" she called and all the students filed out of the classroom. Angel went to the front of the students and followed another class as they left to evacuate the school. The silver haired woman's eyes skimmed her class and landed on a blue head who was currently talking to one of her class mates.

As they walked Angel made her way to Wendy, when they exited the school she stopped the young girl. "Wendy may I talk to you for a second" Angel asked, Wendy nodded and followed her teacher to the side as the class followed another class away from them.

"What do you need Ms. Angel?" Wendy asked politely. Angel smiled and walked behind her, Wendy was confused but felt terrified when she felt a cloth go on her mouth to muffle her surprised screams and a sting in her neck. The young Dragneel felt herself become drowsy and started to sway; as she fell Angel caught her and immediately reported into her microphone on her shirt. "Zero I got her, come to the back. Hades will meet us there" she reported and started to carry Wendy towards the back parking lot where Zero would meet her.

She was not questioned for all the real teachers and security guards all had to walk the students away from danger. The conniving woman met Zero and boarded the unconscious Wendy into the car, Hades was already inside with an annoyed Zero at the wheel. Angel got into the van and they drove away. She tied Wendy's hands behind her back and taped her mouth closed.

The young woman glanced at the body in the back of the van with disgust "Where are we putting that Mr. Brunner's body?" she asked the two men in the front of the car. "We'll dump him in the river by the mansion" Hades answered. Feeling satisfied Angel nodded and sat down in the seat.

Lucy yawned and stretched as she laid on Natsu's king sized bed; she glanced around and tried to blink the sleepiness from her eyes. Her eyes traveled to the sleeping man beside her, he was sound asleep with his mouth slightly open, and she smiled and got up, trying her best not to wake him.

The silent blond made her way to the bathroom and did her business; she also washed her face and brushed her teeth. When she left the bathroom she found her boyfriend standing by his bedroom window, looking outside. She stared at his bare back with awe, it was toned and muscular. He sensed her stare and turned to look at her with a smile "Good morning gorgeous"

Lucy smiled "Morning, handsome" she giggled and walked towards him. Natsu grabbed her in a hug and put his nose in her hair "You smell so good Lucy" he commented, making her blush. He released her and went into the bathroom.

The happy woman left her boyfriend and went into his office to look at the information they were given the previous day. After a few minutes, she decided she would make some breakfast for the both of them and went down stairs.

Grace was nowhere in sight, so Lucy went into the fridge and grabbed some ingredients. She felt like making pancakes and started making it immediately. Natsu came downstairs dressed in casual shorts and a shirt, with his hair messy like usual.

"What you making?" he asked peering at her mixing bowl. "Pancakes" she answered with a smile and proceeded with what she was doing. Natsu nodded and turned the news on, it was currently talking about a fire at Magnolia Middle School had broken out and the fire department is trying to put it out.

Natsu got anxious as his first thought was Wendy might have been injured; he grabbed his phone and started to call his mother. Lucy heard everything and stared at her boyfriend with a smile, she loved how he cared so much for his little sister; is was very cute. Well of course she was scared for Wendy's safety but she was sure the little girl was not injured.

The worried man asked about Wendy and all Grandine said was she was going to pick Wendy up from school in about 20 minutes. All the students were being checked for any injuries, Grandine told her worried son that she would call him back after she finished talking to the school, who were trying to contact her during the phone call.

Natsu sighed and sat on the chair, "Wendy will be fine, Natsu" Lucy said as she served the pancakes on a plate. He nodded and looked at the freshly made pancakes with hunger "Thanks Lucy" and they both dug in.

After breakfast, the couple sat on the couch and waited for Grandine's call. Natsu's phone went off and he answered it immediately "Hello" he spoke, there was a long pause and sobbing "N-Natsu, Wendy is gone" is all Grandine said through the phone as she cried more, there was a ruffling phone as if the phone were be passed to someone.

Natsu held the phone to his ear as his eyes were wide with shock, he did not blink and Lucy was waiting impatiently for him to say something. She grabbed the phone from him and put it on speaker, Natsu went to sit on the couch and put his face in his hands.

"Hello" Lucy said and waited for someone to answer. "Yes, hello" a masculine voice spoke. "What do you mean gone? And this is Lucy by the way" she asked, and she figured the voice on the phone was now Igneel. "Hello Lucy. Wendy and all the other students were being evacuated from the school and she was taken by a substitute teacher who was an imposter. Cameras caught them getting into the van and driving away, we've already sent out a missing persons report and contacted the police but could you guys come down to the station" Igneel spoke with distress but waited for an answer. Lucy glanced at Natsu "Yes, of course. We'll be there soon" she said and they hung up.

Natsu stood up from the couch "Let's go" he growled and grabbed his jacket and keys and went to his garage. Lucy followed suit and closed the door behind her. They got into his Camaro coupe and sped towards the police station, the pink haired man was silent as he drove. Lucy glanced at him worriedly but decided not to say anything; she stared out the window as the fast moving car sped down the street. They got to the station under 20 minutes.

The couple rushed to the station and when they got inside, they saw the Dragneels talking to the chief officer. Grandine was crying and being hugged by Igneel as he spoke to the chief. Igneel saw them coming and said something to the officer who nodded in understanding, as they got closer, Grandine broke away from Igneel and hugged Natsu. Her son hugged her back tightly, "I'll find her. I promise, mom" he whispered in her ear, she only nodded and hugged him tighter. She let him go and hugged Lucy who tried to comfort her, the officer came back "Excuse me, are you with the FTBI?" he asked Natsu and Lucy. They nodded and were led to a room, they all sat down in the room and the officer sat behind his desk. The Dragneels also followed them in and sat on the side.

"Today at 11:30 am, at Magnolia Middle School there was an explosion that caused a big fire. All students and staff were evacuated, including Wendy Dragneel. Some students in Wendy's class said there was a new sub-teacher that came to their class room that was also not identified because she disappeared the same time as Wendy, the principal did not know of this so it has been confirmed that she was an imposter. The students identified her as Ms. Angel, in the cameras she was seen knocking out Wendy and dragging her to a van in the school parking lot, another man was seen getting into the van with them. He was also the one responsible for causing the explosion, he was dressed as a security guard and blew up the kitchen." The chief officer explained to them. Natsu clenched his fist tightly and Lucy glanced at him warily.

"May we see the footage of the incident?" Lucy asked, the officer nodded and pressed the play button on his remote and the TV next to them played the footage. Everyone watched as Wendy was knocked out by this woman named Ms. Angel and Lucy and Natsu recognized her immediately. "That's that woman who posed as a victim" Natsu growled angrily, Lucy placed a hand on his shoulder to calm him. After they saw that, the officer played it back to the time the man blew up the kitchen, his face was hidden by his hat but when it was blown off they; paused it on the image. "Don't recognize him but could you print an image of this" Lucy asked and pointed at the screen. The officer nodded and an image was printed immediately.

"This kidnapping is involved with the biggest case the FTBI is trying to solve at the moment, and we do not know what will happen to Wendy but we will definitely find her" Lucy said with determination. Natsu nodded with agreement but his face had a very angry expression.

"Are those people accomplices of the main man who has been killing a lot of people lately?" Grandine sniffled, and Lucy bit her lip and nodded. "Oh god" Grandine cried and hugged her husband. Igneel calmed her "Thank you officer" he said and the worried parents went into the waiting room. The two agents got the image, thanked the officer, and left the office. They met the Dragneels in the waiting room, Lucy hugged them both and promised them they would do anything they could to find her. Natsu hugged his parents and kissed his mom on the cheek "I promise" he murmured, and as they walked away Igneel called "Please be careful" they nodded and left the station.

Lucy reported the case to Mirajane and she filed it quickly, and gave them permission to investigate. Natsu was still silent as they drove to Magnolia Middle School, Lucy bit her lip "Natsu I know your worried but I'm sure they won't hurt her because I think she's just being used to bait you" Lucy admitted. "It doesn't matter, I'll fucking kill them no matter what. How dare those bastards touch my family" the furious man snapped and drove faster. "Stop the car right now!" Lucy screamed at him, surprising him but he obliged and pulled to the side. "I'm driving" Lucy snapped and got out of the car and waited for him, Natsu breathed out loudly and got out of the car. They traded places and Lucy calmly drove to the school. Her boyfriend was silent and only stared out the window.

Her phone went off and she answered it quickly "Yes" she answered. "Lucy, Mirajane just informed me of the situation and you still have permission to investigate but just don't do anything on your own and report everything you find" the chief ordered her, "Yes sir" she replied and the call ended.

A small girl sat in a metal chair, her hands were tied behind the chair and her legs tied to the front legs of the metal chair. A bag was on her head as the girls eyes opened, she immediately started to panic as she tugged at her restraints. "Na uh" a voice spoke, making her freeze. The bag was ripped off her head and the light blinded her, as they adjusted she was able to make out some stuff. She was in some kind of warehouse by the ocean because she could hear the water outside, there was tons of boxes and junk in the warehouse but what stood out was the pretty woman sitting on a chair not too far from her.

"Hello Wendy" she spoke with a sweet smile. Wendy stared at her with pure fear and shock "W-What is going on? Please release me" she cried and tried to move. The woman stood up and walked towards her "Sorry honey, no can do. You see you're bait for a certain person I need to kill" she whispered in her ear. Wendy cried and struggled "No, please I beg of you. Stop this, please let me go Ms. Angel" she sobbed. Angel patted her blue haired head and wiped her tears, making Wendy jerk her head away from the evil woman's hand. This annoyed the silver haired woman and she slapped Wendy hard across the face, making her flinch but she did not cry out.

The small girl kept her head down and let her silent tears fall. "Now sweet Wendy, be a good care and wait until the person comes. And maybe we'll let you live and see your family and friends again" Angel cooed and grabbed the girl's chin to make her look at her.

Wendy had tears streaming down her face and a red mark on her cheek but her facial expression was one that no one would miss, and surprised Angel. It was pure anger and determination.

"My brother will find me" Wendy said sternly. Angel laughed and smiled at her "Oh, I'm counting on it" she said and let her chin go.
