The halls of the World Conference Center were empty, save for three tiny figures. Leonora hummed quietly as she pulled her cousins along. George followed behind her passively, but Vincent made angry squeaks now and then. Whenever he got too squirmy, Leonora would turn on him and command, "We doe dis way," in a tone that could not be ignored.

The tiny brunette had, to be perfectly honest, gotten hopelessly lost in this giant building, but she was an easy-going child. She wasn't worried, and as long as her minions were at hand, she wasn't bored either. Every so often in their exploration they'd stumble across a window and play in the patch of sunlight that set the waxed floor to gleaming. It was while they were doing just that, that a problem arose.

"Hun'gy," George said suddenly, clutching at his chubby stomach. Leonora paused and realized she was also hungry. Vincent scowled harshly, a sure sign that he too needed sustenance. Her mother, Leonora knew, would have enough snacks to satisfy all three of them, but she was nowhere in sight. The realization that they were alone in an oppressively giant hallway brought tears to her eyes.

Salvation came in the form of Taiwan. She rounded the corner, carrying Japan's two-month-old son in her arms. The sight of the toddlers made her stop, her eyes widening in surprise. Leonora ran up to her and immediately curled her fingers around her trousers. Vincent and George ambled behind her. "Well, look at that, Tetsuya," Taiwan exclaimed, talking to the baby rather than the three little ones around her. Tetsuya blinked up at her with solemn brown eyes. "Are you lost?" she asked Leonora, who in turn scrunched up her nose.

"Yesh," George answered.

"Well, follow me!" With a bright smile, the Asian country spun on her heels and led the small group through a series of hallways. As the journeyed, the sound of many voices speaking at once got louder and louder. One more left turn had them standing in the entrance of the conference room. As usual, it was packed and clamorous. As a matter of fact, the addition of tiny children only served to make the annual disaster more chaotic (which was a rare achievement). Taiwan left the three cousins to go sit by Japan and China. China held his daughter, Xue Fang, on his lap and fed her bits of cereal.

"There you are!"

Vincent yelped as he was scooped up from behind by his affectionate mother. Spain grinned down at the two others. "Where have you been, huh?" Leonora shrugged and George wandered off to find Elizabeth.

Romano walked over and grabbed his wife's shoulder. "We'd better sit before the potato jerk blows a gasket," he muttered grumpily. Spain nodded and soon Leonora was left by the door. She wasn't bothered, and decided to find her mother. Wandering through the legs of nations, she tried to listen for her madre's light, chipper voice. Denmark almost knocked her over in his haste to find extra cushions for Norway, who was five months pregnant and sick of being pampered by the baby's father. Sonja had attached herself to her uncle's leg, making his progress even more impeded. The tiny blonde waved to Leonora as she was pulled along.

"EVERYONE SIT DOWN UND PAY ATTENTION! VE ARE GOING TO HAVE A PRODUCTIVE MEETING FOR ONCE!" a voice roared over the hubbub. Leonora's head snapped over to look at the head of the table. Sure enough, her father stood there, looking irritated.

"HA! KEEP DREAMING!" Uncle Prussia mocked, making most of the room chuckle.

Leonora ran to her father's side and waited patiently until he'd finished yelling at everyone else and had sat down before clambering into his lap and accepting an apple slice.

As was expected, the World Conference lasted three hours with absolutely nothing getting accomplished.

"Typical," Germany muttered as the nations stood. Some stretched tired limbs and stuck around to chat, while others simply left. Leonora had fallen asleep in the interim, her sweaty curls plastered against his arm. Italy hopped over to his side and kissed cheek.

"Ve, that was fun!" she chirped.

When Germany grunted, she laughed and decided to surprise him out of his bad mood. She leaned in close to his ear.

"I'm pregnant again."
