Here's a chapter before I go off to work a double shift.

Chapter 24

The ride as silent. Zim drove with an angry look on his face. Gaz was looking at the sight of the duty town. Fin had fallen asleep as soon as she sat in the cruser; more than likely exhausted from her attempted rampage. Once back at Zim's base, he took Fin from the cruiser and into the base. He placed her on the couch and placed a blanket on her after Gaz removed her school stuff.

Once Zim turned around, he was met with a slap to the face. "Your daughter. She's your fucking daughter! What the hell."

Zim stayed on the floor. "You have to understand, Gaz, Irkins aren't suppose to have families! I don't know how to be a proper parent." He got off the floor. "Why do you care all of a sudden?"

"No reason," Gaz said as she folded her arms.

"Gaz, you heard her. What am I supposed to do?"

"Make sure she doesn't get shot." She looked at the flour sake on the table. "Let's do the project so I can go home."

They sat in the kitchen and read the directions. They got awkward about it fast. The directions talked about the reproductive system and how babies are born. It also talked about baby behavior basics and how to take care of a baby.

After a lot of blushing and awkward staring, the two days worth of work was done. Gaz got her stuff together leaving the homework she was given and left to go home.

Zim personally sighed as he looked at the homework in his hand and at the flour sake in his other arm. He proceeded to do it after sorting through who's was who's.

As morning rolled around, Fin woke up in some pain. "Zim?" She was still half asleep.

Zim got up from what he was doing and sat by her. "Hey there. You still mad a Zim?"

Se shock her head.

"What the pain to go way?"

She nodded.

After changing the bandage, Zim picked her up bridal style after she wrapped her arms around his neck. They went down to the lab. Fin put the breathing pieces in her mouth and nose. Once in the vat, she was asleep. Zim wrote a note on how to get out on her own. After getting ready for school, he went upstairs, grabbed the "baby", and proceeded out the front door with a reluctant sigh.
