A/N I am so excited for the Originals season 2 tonight! I'll have to wait and see how this new season will affect Elijah and Talia.

And I, I'l be by your side

When all hope has died

I will still be around

Over the next few days Talia helped the Originals, Haley and the wolves, and Genevieve track down the stones needed for the spell. According to Genevieve, she needed to cast the spell on the full moon. So the day before Elijah managed to locate them and Jackson and Oliver went to go fetch them.

The morning of the full moon Talia awoke in Elijah's arms, this was a first in while because since they had gotten back together he'd been up at the crack of dawn running the Quarter and making preparations for the spell. She glanced up at him evilly and gently began placing kisses all over his bare chest, then his neck, and his jawline. "Now this is a pleasant way to wake up," his voice sounded in her ear, sending shivers down her spine.

"That was the idea," she replied kissing just below his ear. Elijah's arms tightened around her as he rolled her under him.

"Well, I suppose I shall have to return the favor," he grinned as he leaned down and kissed her fully. "I have missed waking up like this the last few days, I'm sorry I have been so busy."

She wrapped her arms around his neck, "Elijah, you're keeping order in the Quarter, I understand that. Besides maybe after this whole moonlight ring business we can actually set a date for our wedding?"

Elijah smiled lovingly at her and the small blush in her cheeks, "I love that you still blush around me."

"Trust me, it's not on purpose. I hate it when I blush," Talia told him pouting a bit.

He kissed her once more, "But you look so lovely when you do so." He gently kissed her burning cheek.

Talia sighed, "We should probably get up. Jackson and Oliver will be back soon with the stones."

The Original rested his forehead on hers, "Someday soon we shall get a day off." With that they both got up, took a quick shower, and journeyed downstairs for breakfast. After a bit of toast and eggs they went in search of Haley to see if Jackson had returned yet.

"Good morning, Haley," Talia greeted her when they found her in the study.

"Hey, I tried calling Jackson and Oliver but neither one picked up. They should've been back by now," Haley told them.

Talia looked up at Elijah, "Call Klaus."

"Yes brother, what is it?" Klaus asked when he picked up.

"It appears our wolves have gone astray," Elijah told his hybrid brother.

"They should've been back hours ago," Haley insisted.

Elijah nodded and continued, "We need to find them."

"Well that might be a bit tricky," Klaus replied. "You see we've located their car on a back road in the middle of nowhere. I suspect they've been shanghaied."

"And you didn't feel the need to share this information," Elijah accused.

"Well I assumed you and Talia would enjoy a morning in since you have been apart for so long. And it was my intention to present you with this problem only after I'd found an appropriate solution," Klaus explained causing a faint blush to cross Talia's cheeks.

"Do enlighten us," Elijah encouraged his brother.

"I'm closing in as we speak. The only person bold enough to snatch my wolf allies is the one who has the most to lose," Klaus replied.

Talia and Elijah shared a look, "Marcel," the former whispered.

Haley shook her head, "No, he'll kill them."

"Genevieve assures me that Marcel has procured a cloaking spell, the only witch who will aid Marcel is Davina. I just need to get one last pit of leverage before I pay her a visit," Klaus announced before hanging up.

"No, Klaus!" Talia cried realizing his plan. "Dammit, I need to get to Davina." Before Elijah could protest she zipped out of the compound.

"…technically a hybrid bite but it will kill him just the same," Talia heard Klaus mock as she arrived.

"Why are you doing this?" Davina demanded holding Josh.

"Klaus!" Talia roared as she marched into the greenhouse where the witches practiced their magic. "Heal him now!"

"She, after all my overtures of friendship, once again sided with Marcel forcing me to do terrible things to someone she cares about. Need I remind you if we cannot find him and the wolves then we cannot help Haley," Klaus responded.

"Then you should've let me handle it," Talia argued as Klaus sidestepped her.

The hybrid crouched down next to Josh, "I'm not without mercy. I can heal him but only if you cooperate and tell me where to find Marcel."

"Why? So you can kill him too?" Davina demanded.

"Davina, please, Marcel chose his path," Talia begged the young witch.

Klaus nodded slightly, "Seems unfair that Josh should have to suffer for it."

"Davina," Josh gasped as Klaus stood up and ignored Talia's glare.

"He's in a warehouse at the docks, Thierry's place," Davina told him.

Klaus smirked, "That wasn't so hard now was it?" and turned to leave.

"What about Josh?" Davina demanded.

"He'll live another twenty- four hours or so, I might need you. And Josh serves as wonderful leverage," Klaus replied simply. "The next time I ask a question, answer quicker." The hybrid walked out the door.

Talia looked back at Davina, "I'm sorry, I'll make sure he heals Josh in time." She quickly followed Klaus out. "Seriously? You had to resort to this? There are better ways of getting information."

He slowed a bit to allow her to catch up and match his pace, "I'm not going to let him die just yet, sweetheart. Besides my ways of getting information are much more fun."

She rolled her eyes, "Sometimes I question my sanity in wanting you as my brother-in-law."

"Well, I would question your sanity if you didn't. Let's go, we have some werewolves to rescue. Call your fiancée to meet us."

When Talia and Klaus arrived at the warehouse, Elijah was waiting for them. Inside there was only boxes for shipping and Jackson strapped to a chair. Talia quickly went over to him and took off the sack on his head. "Morning sunshine," she greeted him with a smile as she observed his bruises on his face.

"Accolades to Marcel he did quite a dance across the bridge of your nose," Klaus taunted earning him a glare from the werewolf. "Where is he now?"

"I don't know," he replied.

Jackson then looked down at the floor near his chair and Talia followed his gaze to a small black mechanical device with several red wires connected to it leading to a nearby cargo box. "Nowhere to be seen," Elijah muttered as he opened the lid of the box. "But he did leave us a delightful parting gift."

"Either one of you know how to diffuse or rewire bombs?" Talia asked but all three men shook their heads.

"What about the stones?" Klaus questioned Jackson.

"I don't know," the werewolf replied. "Untie me, I'll help you find them."

"Sit still," Elijah ordered as he crouched down next to Talia. "You'll be freed as soon as it's safe."

Klaus tore the lids off a few more boxes, "Our focus should be the stones. Considering he is after Haley's affections, which would cause her to stray away from us and safety, I'd think you two would agree."

Talia rolled her eyes, "It seems a thousand years have done little to help you learn manners."

"Well isn't that typical?" Klaus questioned sarcastically. "Marcel fills a room with dynamite and I am the tactless one."

"I recognize these explosives from the attack on the bayou," Elijah announced. "Could you remind me again why you believed Marcel was innocent?"

"Remind me to ask him before I pull out his innards," Klaus replied as Elijah and Talia stood up. Klaus lifted off a few more lids, again finding more dynamite. "Okay, exercise extreme caution in this general area."

Suddenly, Talia's phone rang, it was Haley. "Impeccable timing," Elijah observed as Talia answered.

"What's going on?" Haley demanded.

"Jackson's fine," Talia assured her. "But he's a little tied up at the moment, could we call you back?" The Mikaelson brothers grinned, even Jackson cracked a small smile.

Klaus flipped off another lid and a high pitched ring filled the air. "Well that doesn't bode well."

"Are you trying to kill us?" Jackson growled.

"Talia, tell me what's going on now!" Haley shouted in her ear.

Klaus held up a note, "This is for Thierry."

"Get him," Talia ordered as Elijah rushed for Jackson and they all zipped out of the building as fast as they could to avoid the blast.

BOOM!

Talia opened her eyes and found herself in Klaus' arms, apparently he hadn't thought she was fast enough to get out but she wasn't about to complain, all four of them were alive.

"Let's get back to the compound," Elijah suggested and they zipped off.

Haley was waiting for them when they got back to the compound. "Thank God you're alive," she breathed as she hugged Jackson and nodded to Elijah and Talia in thanks.

"I'm fine too," Klaus declared with a smirk as he entered the room. "Thanks for asking."

Haley helped Jackson sit down, "What about the stones?"

"Scattered across the bed of the Mississippi, I'd imagine," Elijah answered as Talia enfolded herself in his arms and leaned against him.

"Marcel is no fool, he knows an empowered werewolf army would mean the end of vampires in New Orleans. The explosion is his way of saying he means to prevent that. For all the good it'll do him," Klaus said taking a drink of his scotch.

"Well it did him pretty damn well, didn't it?" Haley barked.

Jackson groaned as he tried to sit up, "This is my fault, I will find a way to fix it."

"No Jack you're hurt and no one's blaming you," Haley told him softly.

"I'm blaming him," Klaus disputed. "Those stones will be hard to replace. Fortunately, I always have a back-up plan." The other four regarded at him in confusion. "Ms. Corerra," Klaus announced as he left the room, all of them, but Jackson, following.

"You can't seriously mean her, she's a gangster," Haley shrieked indignantly.

"I prefer to see her more as a means to procure rare items on short notice," Klaus disagreed. "Greetings, Ms. Corerra." Francesca stood in their courtyard with about half a dozen men. "I see you've brought company."

"These are my brothers," Francesca explained. "I always include them in delicate business matters. Fellas, meet Mr. Mikaelson."

Klaus held up his hand, "Please, call me Klaus, all my friends do."

"I don't know if I'd call us friends," Francesca disputed. "But if you and Marcel are planning on having a little throw down, I'd prefer for my family to be on the same side as the inevitable victor." As she spoke she opened a silver case and retrieved a small bag.

"And you have what I asked for?" Klaus clarified.

She nodded, "Not enough for an army at short notice but it's a start."

"Strange, I wasn't aware she was familiar with our plan," Elijah spoke up.

"My price for doing business is full disclosure," Francesca elaborated. "Your brother complied."

"How does the human faction expect to benefit from all this?" Talia questioned curiously.

Francesca smiled a bit, "I only want to solidify our allegiance to the ruling class. It's good for business.

"If only everyone shared your capacity for reason," Klaus wished aloud.

The human turned serious, "Sadly they don't, Marcel is being especially vindictive. I'm worried he might come after me or my family just for meeting with you. It might be in our best interests if we combine our efforts."

"So be it," Klaus agreed. "The more bodies we have to defend the compound, the better. Let's get started, shall we?"

Talia turned to Haley, "You should probably go help Jackson upstairs." Haley hesitated before heading upstairs. Elijah walked over to her and gently put his hands on her hips, "Why do I get the feeling it's going to be a long night?" The Original chuckled and kissed her lightly.

*15 years later*

"Poor Davina, she just can't catch a break," I pitied the young girl.

Talia nodded, "Yeah, and trust me that wouldn't help us later." I quirked my eyebrow in confusion. Talia shook her head, "I'll get to that later, anyways so we all folled Haley and Jackson upstairs to find out about the stones...
