Yu got off the bed and began to pace around the room. "Let me think... let me think..." Yu took a deep breath and began to concentrate. 'Blood stained carpet and linen... hole in a wall...we have to clean up the blood and be certain that no one gets into this or the other room while we fix everything. I don't know how to clean either of these though... but Yukiko probably would know what to do.' Yu looked down into his pocket and began to to take out his wallet. "How much is a room here Yukiko?"
"Huh?" Yukiko bent her head down in thought. "Let me think... 5000 yen."
Yu flushed and looked through his wallet. " I... might have enough to get both rooms."
"I can chip in too." Yosuke was still standing by Saki, who was depressedly looking over at the television. He gave a smarmy grin and winked over at Yu. "I've got a lot of money saved. I was hoping to by myself a moped though..." Yosuke sighed and shrugged. "But I'll be willing to take one for the team."
Saki looked over at Yosuke and gave him a soft smile. "That's sweet of you Hana-chan." Saki patted his shoulder, to which Yosuke responded with a blush.
"Oh, well... nothing a decent human being wouldn't do." Yosuke gave a chuckle and winked at Saki. "I'd do anything to help you guys out."
Saki still smiled but her face grew flushed. "That's sweet of you to say..."
"What about the blood and the hole? We can't keep these rooms rented forever. I doubt we can do it for more than one night." Chie grimaced and looked down at the still fresh blood. "We gotta act fast too before anyone sees this."
Yukiko gave a soft gasp of realization that made everyone swerve their gazes at her. "The Textile shop! They've help us before with things like this."
"They helped with blood covered sheets and carpets?" Chie crossed her arms and looked warily at Yukiko. "What exactly happened here that required you to deal with something like that?"
Yukiko blushed and looked down. "I've been sworn not to talk about matters like that when they involve our guests." Yukiko took on a more serious face and nodded. "I'll be heading over there to get some help."
Yukiko looked over at the wall and grimaced. "What about that?"
"Don't worry. I know how to spackle up a wall." Yosuke bowed. "But uh... I need to head home to get the materials for it. Some of you guys needs to stay and watch over these rooms. We better pay for the rooms pronto. I think we should all pitch in so no one-"
"Right, I'll watch the room we started in." Chie walked over to the door and waved to everyone. "Be sure to pay for the rooms though. If you need me I'll be in the room over there." Chie gave a weak grin and disappeared past the door.
"She's still broke isn't she?" Yosuke said under his breath and began to shake his head. "Figures she'd duck out of the financial issues." Yosuke shrugged and nudged his head to the door. "I'll be heading out. I'll be waiting at the sign in desk." Yosuke stopped by the door and grinned at Yukiko. " Hey, think you could give us a discount?"
Yukiko glared at Yosuke and crossed her arms. "I don't think I should be doing something like that. I'll help pay for the room though." Yukiko bent over and began to rip the blood stained sheets off the bed."Well, let's get going... uh..." Yukiko looked at Yu's bloodied shirt and grimaced. "Maybe you should stay in here while I get you something to wear first..."
Yu nodded but than shook his head. "Wait what? Why am I going with you?"
"I wanted to have some company while I go over to the Textile shop." Yukiko dumped the sheets into Yu's arms and smiled. "And I'd like to have someone carry this stuff around for me. Don't worry. I'll pay for your bus fare."
Looking over to Saki, Yu watched as she sat down on the bed and glared off at the television. "Saki-Senpai..."
"Go on ahead Yu... I'll be watching this room while you guys are out. I'll make sure no one comes snooping." Saki looked over at him and smiled. "It's all good."
Yu nodded and patted Saki's shoulder. "Thank You Senpai."
Grinning Saki waved Yu on. "Just head on out now. Me and Chie have got everything taken care of here."
Walking into the lobby Yu blushed as he held his cut up shirt and bloodied blanket, the stained part facing towards his chest. "You sure there isn't anything else I can wear?"
"It's not too bad Yu-kun. You still got your pants on. People will just think its a little eccentric." Yukiko finished paying her part of the rent and bowed to the female employee at the counter. "We'll be back shortly. We're heading to the Textile shop to get some stains and rips fixed."
"Sure thing Yukiko. By the way..." the employee eyed over at Yu than Yosuke who had already left out the door. "You aren't spending the night with these boys are you?"
"Oh no, that's why I got two rooms. Don't worry Chie is going to be with me." After she said this Yukiko smiled at how the employee just grinned and started to nod her head.
"I see, well laters Yukiko-chan."
"See you later Kyoko." As they left the inn Yu and Yukiko stood by the bus stop where Yosuke was waiting patiently. "This is turning out much better than I thought it would." Yukiko smiled and nodded at Yu and Yosuke. "Thanks to you guys my mom might not find out about this." giving a sigh of relief she leaned her head back and held her chest.
"Glad we could help in any case Yukiko-chan... hey..." Yosuke walked up to Yukiko and began to look at her intently.
"What are you doing?!" Yukiko flushed and smacked Yosuke in the face.
"Ow! I was just looking at your hair." Yosuke rubbed his now reddened cheek.
"A likely story!" Yukiko still flushed turned her head away from Yosuke and gave a huff. "I didn't think you'd be so up front about this."
Yu tilted his head and began looking curiously at Yukiko. "I think your mom is going to know something happened."
"What? Why?" Yukiko froze and slowly raised her hand to her hair. "Oh... oh no..." Yukiko grabbed at her now shortened hair and her face paled even further. "No! How am I going to explain this to mom!" Yukiko began to tremble. "I saw some seeds thrown out of the TV. Yosuke, you picked them up!" Yukiko grabbed at Yosuke's collar. "Please give me some of them!"
"Okay, here!" Yosuke took out some and handed them to Yukiko who quickly swallowed them.
All that happened was that the little cuts that she had obtained healed. Yukiko felt her hair and found her eyes starting to water up. "How... how am I going to explain to my mom that my hair was cut..."
"Well, you could tell her you were just going for a change of pace... Jingu did a pretty good job. It has a little diagonal cut going on." Yosuke grinned and patted Yukiko's shoulder. As he did the bus could now be seen rolling down towards them. "Don't worry Yukiko-chan. I'm sure this will turn out all right."
Yu walked up and reached a hand to her other shoulder. "Yosuke's right. I'm sure she won't freak too badly about your hair."
Yukiko sniffled and nodded. "Right... let's just get on the bus."
Once the group got off at the shopping district they quickly split up, Yu and Yukiko headed right for the Textile shop. On the way there, however, Yu found himself flinch when he heard a familiar voice. "Marie?" Yu looked over at the Velvet Room, then up to the sky. "Sunny days... forgot about that."
"Hey." Marie walked over, the little black rabbit in her side bag. She looked at Yukiko and bowed her head at her. "This your girlfriend?"
"What?" Yukiko blushed and looked away from Marie and Yu. "We're just friends."
"Cool, just like me and Yu." Marie grinned and looked over to Yu. "So I was thinking that we could go back to that Junes place today and maybe..." Marie looked down to the sheets and than to the Yu. "Why are you carrying bed sheets and wearing a bathrobe?"
"Our latest journey into the TV world did not go so well." Yu sighed and shook his head.
Yukiko looked back to Yu than to Marie. "She... knows too? How long has she known?"
"About as long as he's been doing it." Marie crossed her arms and sighed. "Look, if this is a bad time I can just go back to the Velvet Room."
"That'd be very much appreciated Marie. Sorry about this." Yu bowed.
Marie shrugged and waved to him. "Whatever. You better take me somewhere good next time..."
"What's the Velvet Room?" Yukiko looked over to Yu who pointed over to said place. Following his finger Yukiko's eyes squinted. "The... weapon shop?"
"Yeah... I didn't think anyone else could see the Velvet Room..." Yu turned about face and headed on to the Textile Shop. "Let's hurry before the stains set too long."
Once the two entered into the Textile Shop they were met with the warm smile of Mrs. Tatsumi. "Oh, Yu-kun. I'm so glad you came by again. Oh and Yukiko-chan. Are you here on business for your mother?"
"Yes Mrs. Tatsumi." Yukiko bowed and grabbed the sheets from Yu, who continued to hold onto his own shirt.
"My, what are you two up to?" Mrs. Tatsumi stood up and looked the two over. "Your hair, Yukiko..."
"Uh! I wanted a change of pace so I had Saki-Senpai cut my hair!" Yukiko blushed and looked down to the sheets she was now holding. "And... Yu is wearing the bathrobe because of... well this..." Yukiko opened up the sheet and showed off the bit of blood on it.
"What happened?" Mrs. Tatsumi took out her glasses that hung at her collar and looked over the stain. "Still fresh... is that your shirt Yu-kun?"
"Yeah... I was rough housing and cut my shoulder." Yu took out his shirt and showed it to her. "I bled on the carpet too."
"Hmm... I can get to work on these..." Taking the bloodied linen and shirt she bowed her head. "I'll be sending Kanji over to clean up the blood on the carpet. That'll be around twenty thousand yen."
Yu nodded his head and took out the money. "I'm sorry about this Mrs. Tatsumi."
Smiling Mrs. Tatsumi shook her head. "Oh its fine. I make part of my living off these kinds of accidents." She than gave a short laugh and began to walk off. "Kanji! I need you to do something for me!"
"Wha?!" Kanji's shouted and he swiftly appeared at the doorway. When he saw Yu he froze just staring at him.
"Kanji, dear, snap out of it." Mrs. Tatsumi gently patted Kanji's cheek which brought him back to his senses. "There's been a bit of an accident at the Amagi Inn. I need you to head over there and clean up the rug."
"S-sure." Kanji disappeared for a moment and came back with a basket filled with cleaning supplies, towels, and scrubbers. Kanji looked down at the basket and gulped.
"Okay, let's hurry over." Yukiko waved Kanji on and the three headed out.
The group was all silent, Yukiko and Yu looked over at each other than back to Kanji who was lagging behind and still looking down at the cleaning supplies. Yu grinned and slowed down to get at his side. "Thanks for the help Kanji-kun. Sorry if we interrupted anything important."
"Oh, it wasn't anything big..." Kanji's grip tightened on the box and he bit his lip. "I... um... could show it to you later, if you want."
"I'd like that." Yu smiled and looked back up at Yukiko. "What?"
Yukiko's face blushed and she was looking back and forth between Yu and Kanji. "Um... what are you two talking about?"
Kanji's face paled and his grip on the basket loosened. Yu gasped and lunged at it before the basket could hit the ground. "Wha-what does that mean?!" Kanji's face contorted and his face turned red. "Nothings going on between us, 'ight?!"
Yu bit his lower lip and looked over to Yukiko who was flushed now. 'He really has a hair trigger temper doesn't he.' Yu patted Kanji's shoulder and smiled at him. "It's okay. She didn't mean anything by it. Let's just keep going."
Kanji relaxed his shoulders and sighed. "Okay..." Kanji took the box back and looked quietly at Yukiko who was blushing.
Yu sighed and patted Kanji's shoulder. "I promise, it'll be okay Kanji."
"I don't need you to baby me! What are you my mother?" Kanji crouched down and glared down the street. "I got nothing to prove to any one!" Standing up straight he nodded his head. "Right! Let's get this shit done!" Kanji than ran off and started to run down towards the Amagi Inn.
"Kanji-kun! The bus comes by every ten minutes! You don't... and he's gone." Yukiko grimaced and looked over to Yu.
"I'll catch him, you stick by the bus stop." Yu saluted Yukiko than bolted off after Kanji. As he closed in on Kanji, Yu began to call out to him. "Kanji-kun! Hold up! The bus stop is that way!"
Kanji lowered his head and stopped slowed to a halt. Panting he turned about and looked over at Yu and began to blush. The basket was still held tightly in his hands, the bottles inside fallen over. Sighing Yu came up and began to set them up right. "You know Kanji-kun, I do understand freaking out in front of people. I've run off like this too." Smiling Yu looked up to Kanji who was looking bashfully down at the now properly set bottles. "I'm sorry if the way Yukiko or I acted caused you to freak out. That wasn't our intention." Yu grabbed Kanji's hands and smiled. "Let's head back before we miss the bus."
"Right." Kanji's face reddened. The two than proceded to walk back to the bus stop where Yukiko was waiting patiently.
Once Kanji and the others got into the inn, Yukiko went right to the employees room to check if her mother was in yet. Yu led Kanji into the room with the stain and he got right to work cleaning it. He began by first mixing some liquids together. "I still don't see how you could have gotten yourself cut like that." Kanji poured some of the liquid onto the stain and began to rub the back of his head. Looking over to the bed he saw Saki laid out and just staring down at him. "Uh... hey Saki."
"Haven't seen you out of the shop for a while." Saki leaned her head to the side and yawned. "Man, this Sunday has just been wonderful..."
"Glad you're okay... mom said you got beat up bad." Kanji took out some cloth and began to blot the stain.
"You know each other?" Yu cocked his head than quickly slapped his forehead. 'Idiot! They live a few houses from each other. What is the chance that they've never met? Gah... I must look like such an idiot...' When Yu came back to reality he saw Kanji was still blotting while Saki was grinning up at him.
"Have a nice trip?" Saki leaned her head onto her hands and laughed a little. Saki looked back to Kanji and tapped his shoulder. "So do you know Naru-chan?"
Kanji froze for a moment but went back to blotting. "Yeah..."
"Say no more." Saki raised her hands up and sat up. "Moving on... how has your mom been?"
"Good, she's been pretty healthy. Bet she'll live for decades to come." Kanji grinned and began to wipe his head. "Almost done."
Yu sat on the bed, leaning up at the headboard, and watched Kanji and Saki speaking. 'Wonder if they're friends... maybe just acquaintances. Nice to see Kanji so calm now. He's real sweet when he's not freaking out about every word that comes out of other's mouths.' Yu began to sigh contently and relax against the bed. 'Gotta agree with Saki's sentiment... this has been just one horrible day. Wait, should I actually stay here for the night? Wonder if Dojima would be okay with that...'
"Yu?" Kanji was standing over Yu who let out an ack and bumped his head on the headboard. Kanji stepped back and looked at Yu disbelieving. "Did you just zone out or something?"
Saki smiled and crawled over to Yu's side. Wrapping a hand on his shoulder she nodded her head. "Yeah, he's kind of cute like that."
"If you say so..." Kanji looked over his shoulder, the basket held tightly in his arms. "Well... I finished the stain removal. So... see ya guys later." Kanji gave Saki and Yu an awkward bow than walked out of the room.
"Thank you Kanji. You're a real life saver." Yu sat up and turned towards Kanji who was just leaving the room. "Seriously thanks."
Kanji looked at Yu than to Saki. "It wasn't a big deal. Thanks though. So... bye Yu-kun...Saki-Senpai..."
After Kanji left Saki leaned against the headboard and sighed.
"What's up?" Yu leaned back and looked over at her.
Looking over at Yu she shrugged and curled up into a ball. "It's just... with what happened in there. We became completely defenseless without our Personas. We are always defenseless. We need to find a way to keep ourselves safe while we're in there in case we lose our Persona powers." Saki looked up at the ceiling and nodded. "I know we'll head back someday and when we do we should bring some weapons for ourselves."
"Where are we going to get weapons? We're not exactly legally able to get anything like that." Yu leaned his head on Saki and shrugged. "But I understand what you mean."
Sighing Saki shook her head. "This whole situation is just so nerve wracking... I can ignore it for a while but I know it'll just pop up again." Saki got out of her ball and looked back to the TV. "We need to get ready for the next time we go in."
"Till then, let's just enjoy our night together." Saki and Yu looked over at the door and saw Yukiko who was smiling sheepishly. "So mom's okay with all of this. Though she said she would have liked us to set this up with her. Also she likes my hair cut..." Yukiko sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Can't say I'm happy about it though. So what should we do?"Yukiko crossed her arms and contemplated this for a few moments than clapped her hands together. "Ooo! I can show you guys Floral Tribe!" Yukiko kept clapping her hands and ran off. "Go get Chie! I want her to see this too! I'll just go get my laptop."
Saki blinked confusedly than looked to Yu who just smiled and shrugged. "Floral... Tribe?"
