Owen look to William, Izzie stand behind his wheelchair, he take a deep breath to calm himself, "Dr. Ross, Steven could you please leave us alone, we need privacy", Owen order them.
Shane walk out from the room, Izzie push William wheelchair close to Owen bed, "William, I'll be wait outside, just call me if you need anything", she surprised that they accidently passed Owen room when she going to send William back to his room, she already have bad feeling about what going happen in next few minutes between both of them.
William body actually still weak and sore after the surgery, he exhausted, but he force himself to make sure, his son surgery is success, he really surprised when he look at Owen in patient bed, now he really believed his instinct, that Owen was the one who donor his liver for Nathan, with the trembling voice he initiated to talked, this time for them to talk as man to man "Owen, thank you so much for helping Nathan, I know that you the one who donor the liver for Nathan, I can't thank you enough for what you did"
Lot of emotion comes to Owen mind when he looks to face of the man, who takes everything from him, for god shake, this man took his Cristina, and claim his son as his own, and he is the man who make his love of live coma in ICU, and his son almost died, he can't hold his anger anymore, he shout to him "I don't need you gratitude William, I've been suffered more than two years, I live in pain and sorrow. You,,, you took my live, you promised me you'll protect Cristina and Nathan, and I let you, but look what you done now!, I'll not let this happen anymore, I'll fight for Nathan custody, there is nothing we expect from Cristina, she is incapable to take care Nathan, she is like live corpse now, I'm Nathan biologist father, so I'm the one who have right to take care of him". Owen has no idea how he said all those words, but he know he will fight for his right.
William can't hold his tears when listen all Owen words, he really shocked, no word comes from his mouth.
Helen abruptly slams his door from outside "what did you said bastard? You said my daughter a live corpse? My daughter is fighting for her live now, how could you said all those words?, are you even a human? You must be the man who broke my Cristina when she leaves Seattle, she is carried your son for god shake, you hurt my daughter, and I'll never let my grandson to live with the man like you, you have to over my dead body if you want take Nathan, jerk", "William, we need to move out from this hospital, I don't feel secure if we still stay here anymore".
Helen was walked with Meredith to William rooms before, then they spot Izzie stand in front a room, they can hear all word Owen shouts to William.
William reach Helen hands to calm her, she tried to catch her breath, then suddenly she feel dizzy and almost faint to the ground, thankfully Meredith swiftly catch her. "Somebody take gurney here".
Owen really shock for what happen, one more time he realized he done the stupid thing that hurt people.
"William you should back to your room, you have to take a rest, I promise I'll take care of Helen" Meredith assure William, then asked Izzie to take William to his room, while take Helen to treatment room.
When William arrived at his room, he make Izzie promise to update him about her condition, he also asked Izzie to stay with Nathan because Saul must be Helen side.
William wakes in next six hours, it already night in Seattle, when he wake, Shane just finish check his vital, "how are you feeling Mr William?, I'm Dr Shane Ross, I'm one of surgeon who operate you two days ago",
"I don't know how I'm feeling right now doctor, but do you know about Helen Rubenstein condition", "rigt now Mrs. Rubenstein is stable sir, she had hypertension and exhausted because of the long journey, Nathan also in good condition sir" he tried to assured William, after what happen in Owen room, can't lie he put sympathy to him, "Dr. Ross? Are you the doctor who used to be my wife assistant?", Shane can't help his smile, he is happy that William recognized him "yes sir, that's me, you wife are the best mentor I have ever had", "yeah, she used to mention about you in hospital, when the resident can't answer her question and can't help her in her research, she mention how she miss her assistant Shane Ross, well, I'm so glad finally meet you, and Cristina must be proud of you because you saving my live" he offer his hand to shake, "my honour sir", Shane accept his hand.
Dr Ross, please tell me about my condition, "your vital is good, but you really need rest sir, you body need to heal after the surgery", "okay then, but could please help me, please Ross?" his eyes begging to him, "what can I help you sir?", "I want to visit my wife, I not yet see her since I conscious after the surgery, please?" Shane take a deep breath, he suppose not to help him, but he remember how hard this day for William, he always have soft spot for patient, "alright sir, but just for five minute okay!", Shane help him to get to the wheelchair, then push it to the ICU.
William eyes start teary when look at his wife from outside, it touch Shane heart, then he help him to get sterile gown and mask, he take him beside Cristina bed then he walk out to give them the moment, William look at her beautiful face, she get ventilator support, he hold for Cristina hands, he can't help his heart anymore, he cried while kiss her hand, "Cristina, honey, please come back for me, for Nathan, we need you, I can't live without you sweetheart, I can't, please fight for us, please, please,,," William sobbing in her bed, Meredith watch the scene from outside, it really heartbreaking, it made she cried, she soon walk to her husband room, they need to do something.
Derek busy look at his computer, "Derek, we need to do something about Owen", "what?", "yeah, Helen just threat me, that she insist to move Cristina, William, and Nathan from this hospital if Owen still in here", Derek wondered, "why?", "yeah, he said to William that he will fight for Nathan custody, because he is Nathan biologist father, and Cristina is incapable to take care of him", "he did what?", Derek can't hold his emotion, "how come he said those thing in this situation" Derek shakes his head, "I don't know, but we also can't kick Owen from this hospital, he don't has anybody to take care of him", "yeah you right mer, but how if we move Owen to the sixth floor, the VVIP room, we can isolated him from Helen", "that sounds good idea, but we need to give some peace of mind to Owen so he don't bother Cristina family, lend me your phone, I need to call Avery".
"Derek, I just saw William in Cristina room just now, it breaks my heart, look he is sobbing on Cristina bed, I think he is need friend right now, I can't imagine how terrified his feeling when Owen threat to take Nathan away from him, are William is good father for Nathan, Derek?".
"Why don't see by yourself", Derek hand her his phone after open his gallery folder, "that video I took when we visit the lake", Meredith start teary when she see Cristina laughing and clapping when Nathan and William get the fish, those all beautiful video, she can see that Nathan really close to William, there is no doubt for her that William indeed really love her best friend, and how perfect happy family they are, it will be really cruel to break them apart, "let accompany me to William room, Derek, you not yet officially introduce me to your new best friend", Derek smiled to his wife then took her hand with him while walk to William room.
William already back to his room, he worry about Nathan now, "did he can get sleep, did he eat his food, his medicine" but his own body also really pain and tired, he tried to brace himself but it's all too hard, he really wish he can hold his wife and his son in his embrace right now, then somebody knock his door, it's Derek, he comes with doctor that help Helen before, "how are you feeling William?", William feel little comfort when look at his friend present, this hospital is strange for him.
William just gives him a smile, "it's a rough day William, but I know you can make it through, by the way I want to officially introduce you to my wife, it's Meredith grey", "nice finally meet you Dr Grey, he shake her hand, "please just called me Meredith, William, I was Cristina close friend before, by the way, Helen is fine now, you no need to worry", "thank you so much Meredith, I can't thank you enough you are there to help", "please just tell me if you need anything, I more of willing to help", "actually if I can ask you favor, can you pick my stuff from the hotel, I really need Nathan toy and books, it will help him to more comfortable in his room, I afraid that he cry a lot because Cristina and I not by his sides", Meredith hold her breath, Nathan indeed cried a lot ask for him and Cristina, so to calm him Arizona decided to sedated him, "okay then, I'll pick all of your stuff from the hotel and I'll put them in my house, FYI we have Cristina room in our house, and I'll bring Nathan stuff tomorrow morning", Derek answer him, "thank you so much Derek, Meredith", "don't mention it, you need rest William, remember you have to be strong for your wife and your son" Derek pat his shoulder.
Derek and Meredith then walk to Owen room, Avery already waiting for them, Owen being restless since Helen accident this afternoon, he feel so guilty, "how Helen condition Meredith?", "now, she is fine Owen, she has hypertension, and you made her really angry, and you know that's bad combination" Meredith try to speak with calm voice, no matter how she hate him now, after called Cristina live corpse, but she totally understand, she know Owen didn't really mean it, he just really angry and hurt, she can read from his eyes.
"Owen, we has problem here, Helen insist to move all her family from this hospital, if you stay in this hospital, you know three of them still in bad condition, specially Cristina, in addition Arizona afraid that Nathan has post trauma after the accident, Nathan is stressed, he scream in his sleep few times and he keep ask for Cristina and William, so Arizona decided to sedated him, but we will not abandon you Owen, so we decided to move you to the sixth floor for VVIP room, we totally understand about your feeling, but we also hope your understanding about this all situation, could you please just leave them alone for a while, Nathan need conducive environment to heal mentally and physically, Owen ".
"Alright then, thank you so much for considering about me, but I still don't change my mind to get my son back after he finish his treatment"
"Okay, we will transfer you to VVIP room, please heal soon Hunt, I'm start dizzy with the paper work", Avery tease him. I'll take him, Meredith offering help, she actually has mission, she need to give this man peace of mind, when they arrived in his new room, Meredith start the conversation, "Owen I totally understand if you want to fight for Nathan custody, but are you sure you did a right thing for him as his father, Owen, Nathan is in wound right now, physically and mentally, and you want to take him away from his family, I don't say that you can't be a good father, I really believe you will make a great father, but what Nathan need right now is William, you can see from this video how Nathan really clingy to him", while hand him Derek phone, he watch it, his heart touched when look at Cristina laughing, smiled, and Nathan jump happily when get the fish, yesterday he only has chance to see Nathan picture and now he can see, Cristina and Nathan smiled, laughing happily, talked to each other, and how Nathan really close to William, he cried look at the video, "I believed you know, what you should do as a great father Owen".
After Meredith leave, Owen just staring at the ceiling, he really sad, confuse and angry, angry with this all situation, he really want to get close with his own son, but he knew for now that will make everything worst, he remember last time he meet Cristina, her body slam to the ground because of him, his tears streams one more time, how he always end up hurt his love of live and now he also hurt Helen with his stupid word that he really didn't mean it, he can imagine how much she hate him, in addition he knew that Nathan need William, not him. he wonder when this all nightmare end, it suffocated him.
On the next day Helen check to Owen room, she so relieved the room is empty, she can't believed she finally met the man that hurt he daughter, she really upset when she found out he is jerk, because she know that no matter how, Cristina still have spot for that men in her heart.
Meredith brought Nathan toy and books to his rooms, Nathan looks in good mood this morning because he had good sleep last night after being sedated, he shyly took his teddy bear from Meredith hand, "tan cuu" he said while hug his favorite teddy, Izzie smiled, "Nathan, she is aunt Meredith", "didit?" he called Meredith name, Mer and Izzie laughing look how cute Nathan is, "yes, it's didit" Meredith stroke his curly hair, "he is smart boy Izzie", "yes, he is, he really smart, he can understand few of our conversation it just still difficult to him to say the word". "zizi whel, mommy en dada?", while try to reach his blue book from the table, Izzie help him get the book, "mommy and daddy is still at hospital, daddy will comes, zizi promises" while give her pinkie finger, that reason is what his baby sitter used to tell him when he asked his parent, where technically Izzie not lying Cristina and William indeed in hospital but as a patient.
Meredith asked Izzie is Nathan still scream in his sleep, Izzie nod, "I'm worry he has trauma mer" while look at Nathan which busy look at picture on his book. "Mer, I think I need your help, my mother in law condition is get worse, Justin need me, could you help me to watch out Nathan, I know Helen and Saul is here, but I think their not in good condition to took care Nathan, I already talk about this to William", "yeah, I know, I'll help as much I can do Izzie, I promise" .
Then William comes with Shane, "did I missed Nathan round?", he asked, "no, not yet" Izzie answer him, "dada,,, " Nathan so happy at his daddy, he help up his hand asked to held him, "baby I'm sorry but dada can't held you" while take his hand and kiss it, Nathan look at him with wondering eyes, "daddy it's hurt, baby, while show his surgery wound on his chest to him", "it hut dada?", "yes, you belly also hurt right?" he asked Nathan, "hut dada" while point to his own wound on his tummy, "so, because, both of us hurt, has to eat a lot right, so we can heal soon, okay" he encouraged his son while give him high five.
Arizona and Bailey come to check Nathan, Nathan result test is normal, but they concern about his trauma, the ideal is one of parent supposed to accompany the patient to minimize his stress, but both of them also in injury, then William asked, can they get a close room, so it's easy for William to accompany Nathan while he need him, psychologically it also made Nathan calm because he know his own father stay in front or besides his room, he know so well that it's risk of infection if put them in same room, because himself still need intensive care, "okay, first we will discuss about it with other doctor sir", Bailey answer him.
Next morning, Nathan move to room, which in front on William rooms, the good thing is Nathan can always see his dada face, both of them be more comfortable and heal faster, in week Nathan don't take IV any more, although he still sometimes scream in his sleep as if he had really bad dream, and at middle of the night, he walk to his father room when everybody is sleep, he silently climb William bed, he kissed his cheeks, then sleep calmly besides his dad, William shock when found his little angle sleep in his arm, he feel happy, even though his happiness still not complete because his wife still in coma, then he know, he has to doing something about this, Derek and he is the best neurosurgeon in country, there must be something they can do.
In next day, William also free from IV, both of them is in good condition to wandered around in hospital, he need to train for walk so for first time William take Nathan to look at his mommy, "dada, mommy sleep?"he wondered why, "yes Nathan mommy is sleep, but she will wake soon", then he overheard nurse said that Dr. Hunt, is has fever yesterday.
He always curious about Owen condition since the last time he saw him, then he asked Dr hunt room to the nurse who just passed by, because she is busy so she just answer his question right away, "he is in sixth floor VVIP room sir, then with Nathan he enter the lift, he push sixth button, he take a deep breath when walk out from lift, he know he did a right thing, Nathan and Owen has know each other, from the information board he can see Owen room number, he knock the door, then push open it, while Nathan stand behind him, when Owen look at William he said, "what are you doing here dude?" he annoyed what William do in his room, he try hard to not bother them anymore for Nathan shake. Then he heard sound of kid chuckled.
