Audrey waddled around the house. She was huge and was due in another month. Her back and feet constantly hurt, but she endured it because it was a good pain. She never remembered getting this big with Hadyn, but she also didn't have the right vitamins and nutrition.

When she entered the family room, she saw Derek was asleep on the couch. Audrey didn't want to wake him so she sat in the kitchen. Derek hadn't been sleeping a lot. It was August, which meant the baby was due in a month and that Natali would be back in two. He was constantly scemeing and trying to find a way to keep her safe. She tried to get his mind off of it, but it only worked for a few hours at most. Audrey felt horrible he had to suffer for her.

Audrey moved from the kitchen and sat in front of the baby's room. There was a sign that had bold words saying, Keep out! It was directed to her and Derek. The rest of the pack knew the sex of the baby and started to design the nursery. Once a week they would have to leave the house for a few hours while the pack modeled it.

Derek wiped the sleep from his eyes and listened for Audrey's heart, curious where she was. He found her right where he expected. She sat crossed legged in front of the room. Her hands gently stroked her plump belly. Derek walked up behind her and grabbed her off the floor. She squealed in delight. He carried her up the stairs and onto their bed.

"What are you doing?" Audrey giggled.

"Kissing my wife." He did as he had said.

They kissed for a little long, then Audrey stopped and just looked up at him.

"What's wrong?"

"Do you still find me sexy?" Her voice was soft.

"What?" Derek sat up so she could as well.

"I have gotten huge…"

"You are so beautiful!" He tried to kiss her, but she pushed him back to look in his eyes.

"I know, you tell me everyday. But, there is a difference. Do you find me sexy?"

"Yes, I find you sexy. I know you are having a hard time with your size. I think you are super sexy like this. I love to watch you waddle around the house, hands on your back. I also know that we haven't done anything since you got a belly, so you are nervous about sex?"

"I just feel like a cow! How is that sexy? Will you, like, touch the baby? Also, how are we supposed to?"

Derek laughed and tried to quiet her, "Sshh, we will do it just like this." He kissed her neck.

"Lay on your right side." She complied.

"Now, I won't be able to touch the baby, you weirdo." Derek laid behind her chest to back.

Carefully he entered her. She breathed out harsh, it was slightly painful.

"I know, I am sorry. The book said it was going to hurt, but just for a second."

"You read a book?"

"Yeah."

Audrey was all of a sudden turned on by his consideration. She began to work herself farther down. Every move was tender and gentle. The couple made love for the first time in two months. Audrey felt like a virgin again in Derek's arms. His hands were gently gripping her tummy and he rocked with a consistent rhythm. Audrey moaned and whined in approval. Every noise made Derek closer to the edge. He moved just the right way and hit Audrey's sweet spot. She cried out in pleasure and her body began to shake. Derek came just after. He stayed in her while the caught their breath.

"What was that?"

"Your G-spot."

"Why don't you do that more often?" Audrey panted and he just laughed.

Audrey woke up exactly at 7 am. Derek was snoring softly next to her. She went pee, then jumped on the bed next to him.

"Wake up Handsome!" She kissed all over his face.

"5 more minutes." He tried to escape.

"Nope we have an ultrasound!"

Derek eventually got up and showered. They climbed into the Camaro and were on their way to the doctor's office. They had decided that for ultrasound and important check up, they would pretend that it was a normal pregnancy.

Audrey sat on the table with her pants off, covered by a sheet. Her roundness stuck straight into the air. Derek started to play with her belly button, it had started to poke out but wasn't all the way. He laughed as he pushed it in.

"Wait." Audrey grabbed his hand and put it to the left of her stomach.

Derek waited patiently and then, unexpectedly, the baby kicked.

"Oh My God!" Derek smiled from ear to ear. "What does it feel like?"

"Well, I don't know. It's hard to describe. When she was smaller, it felt like gas or a bubble. Now, it feels like I am being poked, but from the inside."

"That's so crazy!"

The doctor walked in as he felt another kick.

"Aw is that your first time feeling the baby kick?"

Audrey answered for the both of them, "Mine no, his yes."

"How much is the baby moving?" The doctor sat on Audrey's right.

"She has been moving like crazy the last two days."

"Oh, so you know what you're having! Great!"

"No, we don't, I just say she. I don't like referring to the baby as 'it'."

"I understand. Now, why don't we get started."

Dr. squeezed blue gel onto Audrey's tummy. She exhaled abruptly at the cold.

"Sorry, its cold."

Then the Dr. took the 'scanny thing', as Audrey called it, and took a look around. Images appeared on a monitor to her right. It took a second and then you could see the shape of a baby.

"So do you want to know the sex?"

"NO!" Audrey and Derek both shouted.

"Alrighty then. If you look here you will see the little hands. And here is the heart. Wow, it's really strong! You have a very healthy baby!"

"Amazing." Derek gripped both of Audrey's hands, tightly.

When she looked over at him, a tear fell.

"Hey, shhh. We aren't losing this one. You heard her, the baby is strong." She wiped his eyes. He kissed her hand.

"You lost a baby before?"

"Yeah, it was hard."

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened?"

"Stillbirth." Derek said with no emotion.

"I am so sorry. On a lighter note, though, you have a very healthy baby."

"Thank you."

Audrey got cleaned up and they went home.

During the drive home, Audrey decided to bring up a dreaded topic.

"I think we should sell this car."

"What?! NO!" Derek loved his car. "We will get another one, plus, if we had to we could put a carseat in this one."

"Fine what car should we get?"

"It's your choice soccer mom!"

"Shut up." She reached over and playfully smacked his arm.

The first week of September creeped up on the Hales. They celebrated Scott's 18th birthday with a big outing to San Francisco, but were stopped when a giant rainstorm came out of the blue. Now it was all strategy and preparing for baby.

Audrey and Derek were having sex all the time, like, a lot! The Doctor said to have sex more as it got closer to their due date. It was a nice excuse for the couple. After the first time, they found out that it was awesome.

Audrey was getting restless and annoyed. She had to pee every 30 mins and her back hurt all the time. She could smell even more than usually and could feel everyone's emotions. It was a new and interesting gift. It got on her nerves, though. Worst of all, the baby wouldn't stop moving and wiggling. She wanted out as much as Audrey wanted her out. Audrey was barely sleeping because the baby never stopped.

Audrey sat on the couch reading a book on birthing. Derek was in the kitchen making sandwiches. Audrey had felt weird all day, but that wasn't unusual. Derek walked over and handed her a plate, she gladly took it. As she was about to bite into it something happened. A pain went shooting up her back.

"Aaahhh, oowww."

"What?! Are you ok?" Derek immediately went on high alert.

"Yeah, I think sooo, ooww."

"You don't sound ok!"

"Call Deaton! I think its time." She smiled up at him.

"Like, time, time."

"Uh huh."

…

Deaton was there in minutes, as well as the rest of the pack. Derek moved Audrey to the upstairs guest room. Deaton and Derek were going to be the only ones in the room. In the living room, the pack sat and paced, waiting for the new arrival.

Audrey kept her breathing even and tried to stay calm. Derek was on edge and jumpy, so she was calm, not to freak him out. Deaton had Audrey walking around the room to keep labor going fast. Derek held onto her and kept her steady. Audrey's legs got tired and she went to sitting on the bed, indian style. Derek sat behind her and rubbed her back.

"Thank you."

"For what, I should be thanking you. You are the one rubbing my back." Sweat dripped down her forehead.

"I am thanking you for being calm, I need it."

"You are welcome." She turned and gave him a peck on the lips.

"oooooo"

"Contraction?" Deaton started to time them.

"Yep, how far apart."

"When the next one comes we'll…" He was cut off by another moan of pain.

"Alright, Derek can you move and let her lay down." He did as told. "I am going to check how far you are dilated. There is going to be a pinch."

There was, but it didn't hurt like the contractions.

"Well, we are farther than I thought. You are 7 centimeters. We can start pushing."

"Okay, let's do this." Audrey was ready.

Derek held her hand and she pushed for the first time. There was a small wail, then back to breathing. After a few more pushes, there was a full on scream. Everyone down stairs was biting their nails and staring up at the closed door.

"I don't know if I am ready to be a dad yet."

"You are I promise. You will be amazing."

"I love you." Audrey let out another scream.

"Another push."

Audrey pushed harder.

"You are starting to crown. Derek would you like to catch the baby?"

He looked at Audrey for permission and she nodded. He went down next to Deaton with his hands out.

"Big push Audrey, you are doing great!" Audrey gave one last push.

The baby's whole head was out and Deaton grabbed the shoulders and pulled. The baby fell right into Derek's hands. Derek stared down at his child and didn't know what to do, he was consumed by happiness. Deaton wrapped up the baby and handed Derek scissors to cut the cord. He set the baby on Audrey's chest and looked at the baby's genitalia.

"It's a…."
